Austin 10.2.6
Tumblr media
Trixany: *in a wrestling costume*
Sharpen: *also in a wrestling costume* We're never going to get away with this...
Trixany: Just say it. Do the lines!
Sharpen: You may thump your lore bible, you may make your prayers, condemning the developers--
Trixany: *coughs*
Sharpen: You may bash me for still enjoying a 'dead game,' and swear John 3:16 says you're gonna beat me, that Warcraft is finished-- *rips open his shirt, showing a black pirate flag beneath*
Trixany: *loud sirens, runs away*
Sharpen: But Patch 10.2.6 says, I'm gonna kick your ass!!!
Lore police: *more sirens, shaky camera footage* Alright, Team Trixany! You've been warned. We're arresting you for flagrant conflation of fandoms, fourth-wall obsfucation...
Sharpen: There's a Lore police? For real?? *starts crying* Is this really happening?
Trixany: Ow! Not so tight!!
Joke police: *hauls Trixany back, in handcuffs* Eh, good work Lore police. This slippery one has been hard to catch, for several Warcraft expansions.
Lore police: *whips off shades* Good thing we finally... teamed up.
Joke police: Lore, I'm gonna need you to leave the jokes to me. Entertaining the people? That's my jurisdiction.
Lore police: Copy that.
Sharpen: *sobbing hard* Are we really going to jail?
Trixany: I have rights! I can be a fan of both wrestling AND Warcraft, you know!
Lore police: Not when you compare Stone Cold Steve Austin with the illustrious Holly Longdale you don't. Get them outta here!
Sharpen: *cracks open two foamy cherry grogs and downs them as he's dragged away*

US-elections again. Can't believe it. It's the third time of Trump against an other candidate, and still it is such a close race. Which leaves me wondering. I can understand having different opinions, but still this amount of votes for Trump with his extreme positions? Even as in the US-system not every vote counts the same by their election system. For me, Trump is an incarnation of an ego-trip, which doesn't care about others. Low-tax-policy, attempts to restrict the health-insurance Obama-Care. Establishing a system with parameters, which governs people with a good starting position to develop even more force. Reverse, being a disadvantage for most people – independent whether being democratic or republican or neither.
Plus his politics against immigrants – such an irony, as "his" America consists purely of a late-generation of immigrants. Why is this possible? More or less, maybe because he promises ease. The easy way, the simple answers, which have to be repeated and repeated as there is no deep truth behind, anything more to say. Make America great again? America is great. And it never was as great as the promise promises – it always had problems with economic downs, racism, poverty, unequal opportunities.
The America people dream of, I doubt it ever existed. It's a promise of a never-happened past. The power of dreams lies in the unrestricted potential of them, the lifted boundaries. Dreams can be close to illusions. But when dreams should become real, they should start from reality, learning from the past to go into a better future. And withstand questioning. Is Trumps dream the dream of the people voting for him? I think it is not. Trump is living his own dream, trying to change the perception of reality. His dream is using the dreams of others, and paradoxically they grow together. The abuser doesn't have to take the right actions. He only needs to control the vision.
Anyway, I wanted to re-post an art piece I did four years ago. Not here, as I don't want to do reposts but on my instagram-channel, where it was not yet. In addition, I thought of doing a collage (which means kind of a double-posting, how...productive?) Yet I didn't have any idea. I also wanted to do it simple, without too big signs, at least some – like pictures of poverty. Instead, I choose a picture of afghanistan, representing a part of Americas younger past, loaded with so many aspects. A picture of wall-street, and of an American Suburb. Unclear in the fog.
PS.: As there is SO much speach of Trump against mexicans, I just want to pronounce that one of the best film-directors, Alejandro González Iñárritu, is mexican, and one of the greatest comedians, Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, is the son of a mexican mother. So instead building walls, maybe they should build cinemas and stages.

I've been thinking more and more recently about the so-called 'cancellation' of celebrities, and the thing that a comedian* said really stuck with me. He said that the thing that would get him cancelled was something he'd already said--perhaps years ago, perhaps at a live show, perhaps on Twitter. He said that internet sleuths will dig out an old clip and make it trend. All that does make a lot of sense. Questions of statutes of limitations on certain sins never seem to be addressed. "He did a bad thing so he's cancelled!!!" is the appropriate response. Always.
So it got me to wondering what the worst things I've ever done might be, how they might be interpreted from another point of view, and how they might have gotten me cancelled if I were famous. I got to wondering how long ago those things might be, and if the Great Internet Council of Objective Morality might forgive me if a certain amount of time had passed. If I showed remorse and proved that I had changed, would my life be allowed to continue unmolested? What sins are unforgivable? What fans would stick by me because they liked my art? How would they justify what I have done?
That's all. This is not a preamble to any great confession. And while I've done my share of shitty things, just as everyone has, I don't think there's some horrific skeleton waiting to be outed. Just a gentle musing I've been having of recent. I'd love to hear any thoughts on the subject, though: Are all cancellations created equal?

my college roommate was like would you be willing to do the playlist for my wedding and make decor decisions on the day of and i was like i have never been given a greater compliment in my life
costumes were encouraged so i wore a marching band jacket that i found in a consignment shop years ago. the flower crowns were all made by hand by a bunch of us in the weeks previous, and the groom and i put up the flag pennants and string lights together. i don't think i'll ever go to a funner wedding.
my cocktail hour playlist beneath the cut. the second-to-last pic was during the proclaimers' (i'm gonna be) 500 miles singalong.

Gabriel Iglesias –Wind Creek Event Center – Bethlehem, PA – August 10, 2023
Gabriel Iglesias recently hit the stage in Bethlehem for the Don’t Worry Be Fluffy Tour, along with some friends.
Set right near the steel stacks, the stage was ready for a great night of comedy. The arrangement made it feel like Iglesias was cracking jokes in your living room rather than on a stage. It instantly got everyone in the mood for a good time.
Iglesias's comedy routine was a mix of relatable stories, hilarious everyday observations, and his take on the common things we all go through. His transitions from one topic to another were very smooth and his timing was on point. From stories of his childhood antics to poking fun at modern life's absurdities, he had the crowd hooked.
What made the night truly special was Iglesias's interaction with the crowd. He had a very easy-going style that made it feel like he was just making jokes with his friends. He riffed off the audience's reactions, turning them into punchlines and making each moment feel spontaneous and genuine.
The pacing of the show was great. It was like a rollercoaster – with high-energy moments followed by brief pauses that gave everyone a chance to catch their breath. The laughter was contagious.
Gabriel Iglesias's comedy show at SteelStacks was definitely a great show. His relatable humor, storytelling chops, and ability to connect with the audience turned it into an unforgettable night. After the show, I caught up with comedian Martin Moreno to do a short photo shoot. He was extremely kind, even stopping to take photos and talk to fans around us. Martin stated that after over 20 years of performing that stepping on the stage never gets old.
If you're looking for a fun night out, I definitely recommend catching Gabriel Iglesias’ Don’t Worry Be Fluffy Tour.

tumblr wrapped, 2024
I was tagged days ago by @actuallyitsellie, but y'know, life.
So. Since I really just repurposed this blog when I came back to tumblr this year, my ACTUAL join date is sometime in Nov./Dec. 2009. I purged some stuff last week, so the earliest date I have is Dec. 7th, 2009.
But let's be more reasonable and accurate to 2024. My re-join date was: May 15th, 2024. I apparently did like 4 posts in February, but we're not counting those. This would make sense, given that spring semester would've been over and it was my birthday weekend.

top ten posts:
931 notes - May 24, 2024 "What's there to talk about? Tommy's good people. He's good for you." "How do you know that?" "Because we haven't had to talk..." Arguably the post I saw do the most numbers from very early on. For quite some time actually towards the end of the year, it sat between 750 and 800 and I kinda figured it had lost its momentum, but clearly people still love this one. Definitely the first time I felt like I "fit" in a fandom, too.
535 notes - June 14, 2024 Buck/TK text exchange I really just loved all the fake texts we created as a community and had so much fun with this. Also the fact that the Mr July lore was just kinda accepted into the community made me giggle.
529 notes - November 13, 2024 pretty baby, i'm running back home to you This was like, version three of my fix-it make up minis, back when I wanted to believe we'd get a fix in 807. As it is, I'm still over here holding out faith hope that we get them back in 8b, but this was a fun one to write.
428 notes - November 12, 2024 I wrote a whole ass psychology breakdown for the... I mean we all know I live for the jokes that I'm using my psychology for free on the internet to interpret character choices. But honestly, this was so well received, and as time-consuming as the gif making was (and how rusty I am at it 😕), I'm still generally satisfied with how this turned out.
389 notes - September 7, 2024 I was watching some gabriel iglesias jokes and he was discussing the correlation between men and wine, and it made me need to... I was honestly sad to miss out on bucktommy positivity week basically both times around because I spent all of 2024 in classes, but this was one of the ones I got to do for outsider perspective, and was such a fun character study. I still giggle when I think about this joke too.
378 notes - May 30, 2024 the rhythm of your heartbeat I think I'm more fascinated by the fact that I was apparently back to fic writing before I was back on tumblr. I wish I could go back and know what drew me to writing (other than how I wanted 709/10 to pan out, given your arson's match, but obviously I fell in easily because two weeks after my first post back on her, I was writing minis.
327 notes - November 27, 2024 what's your on Tommy coming back or not? And in they case we see them again, do ou think it'll be just for closure (ex: Abby in season 3), or maybe a BuckTommy second chance? Ahhhh.... the anon ask heard 'round the world (or at least the group chat). I got this when I had a homework assignment due at 11 PM and literally had to think about what I wanted to say WHILE doing that assignment 😂😂😂😂. Still, I feel pretty solid with what I said here. I always own the fact that I have no idea if I'll end up being right, but I feel like 2 decades of writing has given me a solid understanding of storytelling...... so if I'm wrong, I may just not watch the show anymore 😂
326 notes - September 19, 2024 i can see the sun Another day, another mini. My attempt at bringing Tommy into 2x18. I think if I was going to rewrite this again, I'd maybe flesh it out a little more, put his character in more with the entirety of the episode? There's still so much opportunity the writers have in this position, to work Tommy into previous stories, especially when we still haven't had their first meeting.
300 notes - September 10, 2024 “God, he’s just so-… ugh, I don’t even know,” Evan grumbles, screwing the cap off of his water bottle. the mini in which Tommy calls Evan a pet name. I truly don't understand how we got this deep into this relationship, saw it end, and didn't ever get any kind of pet name, even in passing. If the inevitable helicopter crash happens and we still don't get at least ONE "baby" or "honey".... I will riot.
299 notes - July 3, 2024 Buck finds out that Tommy talks in his sleep, and it's all just cute and/or sweet things about Buck. A prompt fic. This one was fun to write. I don't have much to add beyond the fact that this was before I realized that word skipping is a serious problem with dyslexia and that I probably have some form of it 😂😂 Anyhoo!
