I don't know why this even needs to be said but you can be excited and hopeful for Delainey's performance as Claudia without shitting on Bailey's work in season 1. So many fans have made these insane demeaning comments about her portrayal and it's become disgusting at this point.
Whatever you think of the writing for Claudia, Bailey did her job and did it beyond anyone's expectations. Her performance is what solidifies Claudia for anyone going into the show and she did a spectacular job. Taking a fully-rendered role from a season and dismissing it for a new shiny actress is just offensive, why do you even need to go against Bailey in order to hype up Delainey in the first place? Can y'all be normal about actresses younger than you for once? I know that this fandom doesn't care about Claudia even half as much as you all claim to, so at the very least, be respectful towards the actresses that play her.

Miami Vice S02E04 - The Dutch Oven
in gin rummy you collect cards that match in sets of three, and discard ones that don't match in exchange for new ones, including any card ditched by the other player on their last turn
Sonny discards a king. Unfortunately, that was the last card the other player needed to match with his two kings and call "gin"
Sonny did have another king, and based on his partner's reaction they were also waiting on a third king only to find the other guy had them all along
Sonny's last minute decision cost him the game, but waiting it out for that card could also have cost him the game since both players were equally matched
this fits the episode's theme: is it better to let a criminal kill me or another cop, or should I face the consequences of killing a citizen?
ultimately, there is no winning strategy

I'm not saying a guest actress is the be-all-end-all source for information about a show's renewal (that's ridiculous), but what that does say is that season 5 is already being framed, at least to the actors and team actively working on set, as if it's the final season, so... that doesn't leave me with much hope.

The fact the bear is being judged by season 1, managed to break a 23 yo record, win 10 awards and in September we have the emmys again oh I know those comedy tv shows are already tired of them

Operation — Annihilate! was funnn. is it ridiculous that the scientists didn't consider light as a mechanism given that it is in fact a form of radiation, for sure. blinding Spock with science and zero precautions, also ridiculous. but the agony of it all--Jim finding his brother dead, his sister-in-law dying, nephew catatonic and then being tipped over the edge with Spock! great performances, very real tension
i loved the goofy amoeba parasites. i think the Aurelan guest actress did a great job scream-acting in her death throes. terrific stakes, classic zombie hivemind scifi, fun interactions between the triumvirate. a favorite of this season, i think
