1991 Callaway Super Speedster LM

Offered from the original owner’s collection, this 1991 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway Super Speedster LM is the second of only two so-called Series II Super Speedsters based on the ZR1 model.

The offspring of collaboration between Corvette performance guru Reeves Callaway and designer Paul Deutschman, the Super Speedster LM is an astonishing step up on the original Speedster, taking full advantage of the ZR1’s Lotus-engineered, all-aluminum DOHC engine and 6-speed manual transmission. One of only three twin turbocharged and intercooled LT5 engines built by Callaway, it delivers a pavement-shredding 766 HP, making the car the most powerful of all the twelve Speedsters produced by the company.

More than “just” an incredibly well-engineered engine swap, the Callaway possesses engineering modifications to the suspension and driveline that fully complement its massive power output. The Le Mans body is the only one used on a Speedster. Designed by Paul Deutschman, the Super Speedster LM is a unique combination of his brilliant Callaway Speedster and the dramatic and aerodynamically efficient Le Mans GT2 pole-winning Callaway LM racer. Luxurious appointments abound in the LM’s interior, which features the consummate craftsmanship of Johann Merkhofer.

Lavishly finished in leather and suede with specially embroidered seats, it is fully equipped with comfort and convenience features that include air conditioning and Delco Bose stereo with CD. Unique among Callaway Speedsters is the car’s removable double-bubble hard top, which shares the car’s gorgeous Candy Wine Red paint and evokes the closed-cockpit C7R racers.

So i started using blender because i was playing VotV and realised there are not enough car models for the 3d printer out there and i wanted to make some myself.

Well, i did do that

The model on the right is "mine" (took a porsche 911 gt2 from a free 3d models site and made it so it could be 3d printed ing)

The model on the left is from the votv 3d prints github (iirc nfs something bmw m3?)

But i also fell in love (if that's even possible) with it.

Which was the result of 3 of my interests (gaming/VotV, art/creating new things, cars) combining to form a new one

Happy accident tho, because I need better perspective for my car designs

So here's my latest (and only) model, slightly outdated as i have added back teeth and made it lower res for the sake of my 1gb of Vram.

I used a blockbench model i had made a while ago, i just rigged and animated it in blender.

To prolong the life of your bearings, make sure to regularly clean and lubricate them, especially after wet driving conditions. A few drops of oil is all that is needed for proper greasing. Keep in mind that outer bearings tend to wear out quickly and should be replaced promptly when necessary.

Additionally, you can test the drive train bearings by gently wiggling the outdrive and observing any play between them. Rolling the chassis on a desk should also be smooth and quiet without any resistance or noise.

Superficial cleaning and inspection are enough with the electric components. It’s good to check that the speed controller’s fan works and can spin freely. Also check that all the components are not coming loose. Check that all the wires are undamaged and that they’re not getting in the way of the drivetrain.

Royal Alloy GT2 Series Diluncurkan di IIMS 2025

JAKARTA – PT Utomo International (Utomocorp), distributor resmi sepeda motor Royal Alloy di Indonesia, memamerkan sejumlah model menarik di ajang Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, termasuk Royal Alloy GT2 Series. Sepeda motor 'New Generation Classic' ini menyasar para pecinta motor klasik dan retro di Indonesia.

CEO Utomocorp Denny Utomo menyoroti GT2 Series sebagai model andalan perusahaan tahun ini, yang dilengkapi berbagai teknologi canggih seperti Track Control System, ABS, layar TFT Color, dan Smart Key. "GT2 Series memadukan gaya retro dengan fitur-fitur modern, yang menyasar pengendara muda," kata Denny saat peluncuran di JIExpo, Kemayoran.

GT2 Series ditenagai mesin SOHC 148cc berpendingin air, yang menghasilkan tenaga 11,5 kW pada 8.500 rpm dan torsi 14,5 Nm pada 6.500 rpm. Fitur-fitur yang menonjol termasuk Color LCD TFT, ABS, TCS, dan Smart Key untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan kenyamanan.

GT World Challenge - o co w tym chodzi?

Człowiek, który wygląda jak Jezus jest szefem zamieszania nazwanego jego imieniem. Stephane Ratel od lat organizuje wyścigi aut Grand Tourism (GT), a od kilku są one znane jako GT World Challenge. Dzisiaj krótkie wyjaśnienie ile serii organizuje, jaki jest format sezonów, wyścigów i punktacji w tych seriach.

Ile serii organizuje Stephane Ratel Organisation?

Najprostszą odpowiedzią byłoby: w pizdu i jeszcze więcej. No ale dla dokładności warto opowiedzieć co on organizuje. SRO wskrócie organizuje serie aut GT2, GT3 i GT4, a także aut TCR w USA, ale tutaj skupiamy się na seriach aut GT3. Tak więc jest ich cztery - GT World Challenge Europe, America, Asia i Australia. Europejski odłam jest najbardziej rozbudowany i dzieli się na dwa puchary - Sprint Cup i Endurance Cup. Jest również British GT, czyli mistrzostwa Wielkiej Brytanii aut GT3 i GT4, ale nie jest to seria kontynentalna, mimo że jeden wyścig odbywa się w Europie kontynentalnej, tj. na Spa. Organizowany jest również International GT Challenge jako osobne mistrzostwa, ale nieraz współorganizowane z tymi na danych kontynentach. Wyjątkiem w 2025 roku będą Bathurst 12 Hour, 24h Nurburgring i Suzuka 1000 km, które nie są częścią kalendarza europejskiego, australijskiego i azjatyckiego.

Jakie auta można zobaczyć?

Samochodami ścigającymi się w GT World Challenge są auta GT mark takich jak Audi, BMW, Mercedes, McLaren, Ford, Ferrari, Lamborghini. Zwykle są to modele, które mają bieżące wsparcie (Audi nie, bo program fabryczny zamknięto przez skupienie się na F1), jeżdżą zespoły fabryczne, ale również prywatne. Na torze tym samym co rundę można zobaczyć około 30 załóg, a w rundach długodystansowych nawet więcej niż 30 ekip.fot. SRO Motorsports Group

Jak wyglądają zespoły?

Zespoły to zwykle dwu, albo trzyosobowe załogi, którew ściganiu mogą jechać maksymalnie 65 minut (lub 70, jeżeli jest okres SC lub Full Course Yellow - który później i tak się zmienia w SC i jest restart; na Spa 3h15 ciągłej jazdy, są też takie pierdółki jak minimalny czas pit-stopu, ale to ustala dyrekcja danej rundy wyścigowej). Kierowcy tym samym zmieniają się podczas wyściguraz, jeżeli to jest format sprinterski lub wyścigi 3-godzinne, a dwa i więcej, jeżeli chodzi o wyścigi sześciogodzinne lub 24-godzinny na torze Spa.

 Jak wyglądają wyścigi?

Wyścigi dzielą się na format sprintów oraz wyścigów długodystansowych. Sprinty w serii europejskiej, azjatyckiej i australijskiej trwają 60 minut z oknem na wykonanie pit stopu między 25. a 35. minutą wyścigu. Wtedy można zmienić kierowcę, opony. W Stanach Zjednoczonych sprinty są częściowo też wyścigami endurance, bo trwają 90 minut, a okno zjazdów otwiera się między 35. a 45. minutą wyścigu. Oczywiście przesunięcie okna zjazdów jest możliwe w przypadku neutralizacji. Wyścigi rozpoczynają się startem lotnym, a ostatnie okrążenie jest tym rozpoczętym przed upływem 60/90 minut. Nie ma więc zasady "+1 lap" po upływie regulaminowego czasu. 

To samo stosuje się w wyścigach długodystansowych. Te dzieli się na rundy 3-godzinne (w 2024 roku w Endurance Cup w Europie trzy - Paul Ricard, Nurburgring i Monza), 6-godzinne (do 2023 dzienno-nocne Paul Ricard z metą o północy, w 2024 Jeddah w Arabii Saudyjskiej, w 2025 znowu Paweł Ryszard), 8-godzinny (finałowa runda GT World Challenge North America na Indianapolis połączona z International GT Challenge), 12-godzinny (Bathurst, inauguracja sezonu) i 24-godzinny (Spa oraz Nurburgring, dwa największe wyścigi GT na świecie).

Jak wygląda punktacja wyścigów?

W przypadku amerykańskiej, australijskiej i azjatyckiej serii jest to punktacja FIA, czyli TOP10 z 25 punktami za zwycięstwo. W przypadku Europy zamieszanie wygląda zupełnie inaczej. W serii sprinterskiej za zwycięstwo otrzymuje się 16,5 pkt, za drugie miejsce 12 punktów, za trzecie 9,5 punktu, dalej mamy 7,5, 6, 4,5, 3, 2 i 1 i 0,5 pkt za dziesiąte miejsce, plus punkt za pole position. W wyścigach endurance sprawa jest inna, bo tam mamy punktację FIA w wyścigach 3-godzinnych, a w 6-godzinnym mamy 33 punkty za zwycięstwo, 24 za P2, 19 za P3 i dalej 15, 12, 9, 6,  4, 2, 1 pkt. W przypadku 24-godzinnego wyścigu na torze Spa kierowcy otrzymują punkty po 6 i 12 godzinach oraz za cały dystans. Za 6/12 godzin punktuje TOP9 - 12, 9, 7,6,5,4, 3,2,1 pkt. Za cały wyścig punktacja FIA. Jest też haczyk pod tytułem tego, że aby zdobyć punkty, kierowca musi przejechać co najmniej 25 (Azja, Australia i Europa) lub 40 minut (to w USA). W British GT w godzinnych sprintach (4 w sezonie z 9 wyścigów) jest punktacja FIA, w wyścigach na dystansie 2 i 3 godzin jest już 37,5 pkt za zwycięstwo, 27 za P2 i dalej 22,5, 18, 15, 12, 9,6, 3, 1,5 pkt. Tak więc Stephane Ratel lubuje się w połówkach.

Gdzie to można oglądać?

Transmisje są dostępne zupełnie za darmo na kanale YouTube GTWorld. Z wyścigów europejskich transmisje są dostępne oprócz języka angielskiego także po włosku, niemiecku i francusku. Po polsku transmisji nie ma, mimo że były w sezonie 2022. Za to 52-minutowe skróty z rund można oglądać z polskim komentarzem na antenie Motowizji.
