Toyota has announced the 2024 Toyota GR lineup – and we’re so excited to show you one of our favorites on the lineup. The 2024 Toyota GR86 TRUENO Edition is all the buzz in the sportscar community, and one of the main reasons is that it commemorates the Toyota AE86’s 40th anniversary. Since this N Charlotte Toyota sportscar has so many cool features, we will make it simple for you.

2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition Performance

The 2024 Toyota GR86 TRUENO Edition comes with an upgraded performance package – that comes in both manual and automatic transmissions. You’ll be able to add this performance package to your 2023/2022 Toyota GR86, so don’t worry if you’re not able to get your hands on this particular N Charlotte Toyota. Let’s get into it.

As mentioned earlier, this N Charlotte Toyota sportscar is an homage to the Toyota AE86, which is very popular in the anime and manga community because of the anime ‘Initial D’. If you don’t know – although you should – Initial D is about a character named Takumi Fujiwara and his rise to being a downhill racing hero in his Toyota AE86. Since the anime is so well known, the Toyota AE86 has been coined the ‘initial D car’. Now, let’s get into what the modern initial D car will look like when you first take a look:

To start with a bang, it will come with a number plate that marks the 2024 Toyota GR86 TRUENO Edition.

It comes with a black-wrapped hood, black TRUENO Edition side panels, and a black duckbill spoiler. 

As a tribute to the 1980s model, this N Charlotte Toyota sports car will have a ‘TRUENO Edition’ badge on the front bumper lip and rear decklid.

Also, other accents this ride will have are black metallic 18-inch, 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with black door handles and mirror caps.

The 2022 Toyota GR 86 is a new sports car based on the popular GR86 model. It has an aerodynamic design and a base model with a manual transmission. It also features a stiffer body structure than the last GR86 and a 2.4-liter flat-four cylinder engine with 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The GR86 also features a slightly lower center of gravity and 10-spoke 17-inch wheels.

The Toyota GR 86 will include a series of standard and optional safety features, including seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Tire Pressure Monitor System, Track Mode, Anti-lock Brake System, and a driver knee airbag. The GR 88 comes standard with the same safety features, but will cost a bit more. For example, the Mazda MX-5 Miata doesn't have any of these features, but the GR 86 does.

The new 2022 Toyota GR 86 will be the successor of the GR Supra. It features a stronger engine and more aggressive styling. Setelah hadir di Indonesia sejak dua tahun lamanya, toyotaid melakukan sejumlah improvement pada sportcar GR86. Ubahannya memang tidak tampak pada desain luar dalam (kecuali warna baru Ridge Green), namun lebih fokus pada peningkatan aspek berkendara.

Pada versi terbaru ini, GR86 mendapatkan improvement di shock absorber dengan brand Sachs (ZF) untuk memberikan kontak dengan aspal lebih optimal sekaligus mempertahankan handling khas sportcar. Selain itu, electric power steeringnya juga diperbaiki agar menghasilkan handlihg yang lebih intuitif.

Toyota juga memodifikasi engine torque control pada GR86 varian transmisi manual supaya dapat memberikan sinyal perpindahan gigi yang lebih jelas. Sementara untuk varian transmisi otomatis, toleransi saat downshift dinaikkan untuk menjaga torsi maksimal lebih mudah diraih ketika pedal gas diinjak kembali.

Selain aspek teknis, sportcar ini juga mempunyai opsi warna baru Ridge Green menggantilan warna biru. Lalu pada interiornya juga terdapat automatic interior light off function yang aktif ketika pintu dibuka/tutup, serta jahitan di jok yang ganti warna jadi hitam.

Seperti mobil baru Toyota lainnya, GR86 juga mendapatkan fitur T-Intouch versi terkini yang dilengkapi akses internet. Plus, semua varian GR86 termasuk transmisi manual sudah dilengkapi fitur ADAS yang mencakup Pre-Collision System, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, dan lainnya.

Report: Next-Gen Toyota 86 Will Be Known by a Slightly Different Name

Sports-car enthusiasts were no doubt thrilled to learn that a new Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ are on their way—this despite relatively low sales volumes. Today, Autocar published a report with more details on the twins, including the fact they're getting more power. Yes, the companies listened.

Indeed, perhaps the largest complaint leveraged at the two small sports cars was their lack of relative might, followed closely by somewhat lackluster interior quality. According to the report, the Japanese automakers are going to address both of those issues with the second generation of the now-eight-year-old coupes.

According to Autocar, the remedy for the lack of power will come via forced induction. Specifically, the automakers plan on using a modified version of the 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder currently powering the Subaru Ascent, Outback, and Legacy. In the Ascent, that engine makes 260 horsepower, significantly more than the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter in today's 86 and BRZ. Both companies are said to realize drivers want the power of a beefier engine without sacrificing the immediacy of a naturally aspirated one, however it remains to be seen how well they ultimately strike that balance. While Subaru will provide the powerplant for the new versions, Toyota will be responsible for the underpinnings: According to Autocar, the new sports cars will likely be based on Toyota's TNGA platform. You can also expect an improved interior.

One thing seemingly no one complained about the was the cars' names, but at least one of them is slated to change: the Toyota. Autocar says the new 86 will be called the GR86, placing it under an umbrella with the GR Supra and GR Yaris in the company's performance-car lineup. GR stands for Gazoo Racing, and company president Akio Toyoda is reportedly fond of building Toyota's brand image through its sports cars.

These improvements—save, we figure, the new badge—will no doubt warrant a jump in price. That said, it's unlikely it'll be too much more than the 86's current $27,000 price of entry, lest the model cease to serve as an attainable jump-off point for the Supra. (That car currently runs $50,945 to start.) The next-gen sports car will also help expand the relationship between Subaru and Toyota, as the automakers are reportedly collaborating on other vehicles, including hybrids. บาคาร่า sa

Report: Next-Gen Toyota 86 to Get a New Name

Sports-car enthusiasts were no doubt thrilled to learn that a new Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ are on their way—this despite relatively low sales volumes. Today, Autocar published a report with more details on the twins, including the fact they’re getting more power. Yes, the companies listened.

Indeed, perhaps the largest complaint leveraged at the two small sports cars was their lack of relative might, followed closely by somewhat lackluster interior quality. According to the report, the Japanese automakers are going to address both of those issues with the second generation of the now-eight-year-old coupes.

According to Autocar, the remedy for the lack of power will come via forced induction. Specifically, the automakers plan on using a modified version of the 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder currently powering the Subaru Ascent, Outback, and Legacy. In the Ascent, that engine makes 260 horsepower, significantly more than the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter in today’s 86 and BRZ. Both companies are said to realize drivers want the power of a beefier engine without sacrificing the immediacy of a naturally aspirated one, however it remains to be seen how well they ultimately strike that balance. While Subaru will provide the powerplant for the new versions, Toyota will be responsible for the underpinnings: According to Autocar, the new sports cars will likely be based on Toyota’s TNGA platform. You can also expect an improved interior.

One thing seemingly no one complained about the was the cars’ names, but at least one of them is slated to change: the Toyota. Autocar says the new 86 will be called the GR86, placing it under an umbrella with the GR Supra and GR Yaris in the company’s performance-car lineup. GR stands for Gazoo Racing, and company president Akio Toyoda is reportedly fond of building Toyota’s brand image through its sports cars.

These improvements—save, we figure, the new badge—will no doubt warrant a jump in price. That said, it’s unlikely it’ll be too much more than the 86’s current $27,000 price of entry, lest the model cease to serve as an attainable jump-off point for the Supra. (That car currently runs $50,945 to start.) The next-gen sports car will also help expand the relationship between Subaru and Toyota, as the automakers are reportedly collaborating on other vehicles, including hybrids.

Demi mendukung performa dipasang juga damper lansiran ZF Sachs yang diyakini dapat memaksimalkan sensasi pengendalian mobil dua pintu tersebut.

Menyoal spesifikasi teknis, dibekali mesin berkubikasi 2.387 cc yang diklaim sanggup menghasilkan tenaga 228 tk dan torsi maksimal di 250 Nm. Konfigurasi itu membuat GR86 sanggup menempuh 60 kpj dalam waktu 6,1 detik untuk varian transmisi manual 6-percepatan.

Sementara, transmisi matik 6-percepatan electronically controlled automatic transmission (ECT-i) pada kecepatan yang sama sanggup diselesaikan dalam waktu 6,6 detik. Kedua transmisi sudah dilengkapi dengan Torsen®️ limited-slip rear differential.
