fuck meee I got some brainworms at work thinking about a trigun game of thrones au (when house targaryen is ruling westeros because dragons make story go brrr), and just opened a wee word document to throw up some bullet points for this 'WW being Vash's sworn shield in this politically uneasy time' short story, then I blink and it's been 2hrs, I'm dehydrated, there's 10 tabs open about various GOT lore and locations, the document has become two pages long with character backgrounds, motivations and storybeats. sending out a flare for help rn
#this is my fault the moment I entertained any idea of writing a simple story with 'political conflict' of any amount#those are my clown shoes but the makeup is trying to do a game of thrones au that is simple#ah yes#game of thrones#the notoriously simple and straightforward world of game of thrones#but on the plus side my god the fandom is so passionate there's like 3 interactive world maps of westeros#as far as worldbuilding and story research goes it just falls into your lap#you just have to not get crushed to death by it lol#which I am managing by just cherry-picking elements of the world and not worrying about anything I'm not directly including in my story#someone want to suggest dragon names for Vash Nai and Tesla's dragons?? -vash used to do competitive ice skating as a teenager but stopped because it was fucking up his body. These days he has a youtube channel where he does inline skate dancing
-knives is one of those cyclers who gets way way way too intense about it. Regularly gets into arguments with people on r/cycling. Thinks roller skating is a Fake Sport but still helps Vash film his videos.
-If he gets too annoying about it meryl just rams him. She is Small so he never sees her coming
-I always found it funny that there’s a lowkey rivalry between skateboarders and skaters (thatspartiallyfueledbyhomophobiaandmisogynybecauseskatingisseenaslessmasculineoopsbye).
-Anyways that’s just a fun fact. Wolfwood does not care about any of that he is making out with his boyfriend
