so youre telling me. theres an adaptation of orpheus and eurydice. where eurydice was falling out of love with orpheus before her death but didnt know how to tell him, and when he walks into the underworld to get her back, shes forced to confess that she planned to leave him?? and shes the one to ask him to look back, but he doesn’t want to, because he knows she isn’t coming with him??? youre telling me that when he finally looks back, he does lose her, but only because he’s letting go??? you’re telling me its about grief? about drifting apart?? about moving on??? about love, and how its messy, and how sometimes it just doesn’t work out even if you go to hell and back for it, because we’re human and thats our tragedy????

listen I expected literally Nothing from the D&D movie okay, like I can't make it clear enough that I expected the most soulless money grab with a good cgi budget imaginable, I went in having already gone through every stage of grief and landed on acceptance and LISTEN

I fucking CRIED during this dumb RPG movie. it wasn't just "not terrible" it was objectively good with a clever plot and compelling characters and sincere emotional beats. this movie loves D&D so fucking much and it NAILS the "a bunch of goobers try to be cool and accidentally discover The Power Of Friendship And Also Great Violence" classic D&D party vibe. their barbarian's last name is fucking Kilgore and my entire family cried in the theater.

I hope they make twelve of these motherfuckers.

- Trip yelling “tattoos” at the start of the rumble to fight two bit

- Brody clapping for sky with the audience during the opening (delayed their next song line together bc sky was laughing)

- During GGAH, Dally saying “oh he���s a big dog, he said ‘what’” and then Two Bit barking at Dally

- Dally looking at Johnny’s face and asking if he was ok

- Marcia curling into Trip during JFT but also having a moment with Two Bit

- Ace jumping on dally after the rumble and him saying that he saw her

- Ponyboy hugging Darrel after the rumble and yelling “we did it Darrel!”

- Cole’s head coming off the stage during the rumble and him being less than a foot away from me during it

- Dally’s gasping sobs during the end of little brother

- Johnny fiddling with the knife or the rag or his clothes all the time

- After Johnny died, pony sat on the ground and soda came up to him and he fully leaned into soda

- Two Bit sitting alone after Johnny’s death

- Jason gasping for air after he does the first “I can’t” in the breakdown

Dsmp stragglers, I think we should start lore theorizing again. I miss that. 3 years later, and I’m over here like, “Did c!Ranboo place the tnt on top of the prison 🤔”. That’s something I loved so much abt the community, and something that made it feel so special.
