Dream Ramble Time! This one's kinda interesting. Still weird. Still that classic dream nonsense as well Involved the survivor's of the first killing game, following Byakuya in this adventure. Most parts of this dream are a bit disjointed so I only remember a few specific moments but it's enough to talk about. Main plot was that Byakuya was trying to look for Makoto. Think it was some bizarro timeline where the killing game did occur since the survivor's where here and I believe there was at least one mention of a mastermind who they beat. At some point in the dream, Byakuya was doing some weird ass cryptic puzzle involving these giant machine's and mixing some paints together to open some doors like a weird cryptic puzzle one would find in a game. There was also a small flashback during this where Byakuya was thinking back to earlier in the day, think about how unlucky the group's all been where a bunch of crow's showed up before some disaster that caused some of the other survivor's to have 3rd degree burns. This part confused me though cus my dumb brain left a plot hole cus it showed a freeze frame of the group fine but never shows their burns or how the crows have anything to do with this. I digress though. Here's were the more interesting part kicks in. Basically, after Byakuya finds his way out of the weird puzzle room, he makes it into this mystical cave to find Makoto, however finding a fake. Essentially, the cave's entities mimic who they (the person entering the cave) miss most in the moment. At some point as well, some of the other survivor's were able to make it to the cave and they met their own fake people like Aoi saw Sakura and Hiro saw his mom. One other thing of note is that, if one is drawn to far into the cave, they will essentially be killed and go to the afterlife. Like, the cave's a sort of limbo from life and death though once one goes far enough, they can never go back. Back to the main plot though, Byakuya eventually deduces that this Makoto is indeed a fake and leaves the cave, eventually finding Makoto on the ground curled up. Or well, he was supposed to but my brain for some unknown reason represented Makoto as a weird chipped bowl for a few seconds so Byakuya was like, cradling a chipped bowl for a moment before my brain remembered that "Oh! Makoto isn't a bowl! He's a boy!" Once Makoto was presented as a human being though, (maybe this is game logic where Makoto just turned into a place holder item!) the two have a discussion on the floor in the grasslands, (forgot to mention but they're in a jungle for some reason or some jungle equivalent. weird version of the school greenhouse perhaps??) Makoto then talks about his experience in the cave. This is where the dream loses the plot. Cus, there's a flash back to Makoto and his mother in the cave. But, for some weird ass reason, she's like... a tiny giraffe? But she looked more like a little pony, no giraffe spots... and Makoto's reasoning as to why he was able to realize this wasn't his mother is that like... his mother isn't a shiny girafarig. I have no no words.... After the boys have their vague convo on the floor, Kyoko exists the cave. In my vague brain dream state, it showed prior that she saw her mother in the cave, but let's be real. It wasn't at all her mother realistically, I say when Makoto saw a baby giraffe in the cave so I dunno! Finally, Kyoko walks to the boys and like, they all have a vague convo about what they saw and if they're okay. Think it's implied the other survivor's escaped too but like, Toko was never mentioned in this dream. Poor girl was done dirty. But, after they talk, Kyoko guides them to a nook adjacent to the cave where she shows some archives about the cave siren people, talks about their lore, mentions how some of them are better at their craft than others and how some of them are banned from doing their siren shape shifting as they used bad material in the archives that was unconvincing. And then I woke up.

Hey Sparrow!

There’s this rumor going on about Sasuke being the heroine of Naruto. I find it fascinating and cute. I didn’t think Sasuke could be the heroine because usually they’re girl heroes.

Rather the rumor is true or not, how do you feel about it?

Also, is Sasuke also the Tsunade as well? I never understood what that was but I see it a lot so if you don’t mind explaining it, that would be appreciated ❤️. People say it’s Sakura and Hinata for both heroine but Tsunade for Sakura.

Sasuke being the heroine of Naruto

I am just going to requote the interesting parts from that post. There is this Naruto Official Databook named Meigenshu Kizuna explains about Sasuke.

"Since Naruto is to be considered as the “hero”, from the beginning he’s receiving growing popularity as the protagonist, while Sasuke, who is usually being chased by numerous characters (in a romantic sense), even if he’s a guy, roughly speaking, he has the heroine status in this story."

LOL.... Yes, I agree that many girls chase Sasuke in a romantic sense. But, Naruto (the hero) also chased him throughout Part 1 and Part 2... And what does that make him????

So, yeah!!! Officially, Sasuke is the heroine of this Story. And there are many instances Kishimoto has implied him that way.

To start with....

Kushina was wondering whether the baby is a Girl!!! So, a direct reference to femininity.... Added to that

Kushina is saying Sasuke looks Cute... The word choice she used here is  かわいい - Kawaii. This is a term used to compliment the beauty of a Girl. Well, since he is a Baby.... this word choice is not strange. As we all know Babies are cute. But Kushina’s remark about whether the baby is a girl and then complimenting it as Cute is something funny..

But it’s even more funny when TenTen also remarks Sasuke as Cute.

We have seen Sasuke was complimented as ‘Cool’ by Sakura, Karin and obviously Naruto. ‘Cool’ is a term used to compliment the appearance of a man. The word choice is  カッコいい – Kakko ii ... But at the same time, he was also remarked as ‘Cute’...

And then there is the obvious reference of femininity through Yin and Yang concept.

In Chinese Philosophy, Yin represents ‘Female’ which was acquired by Sasuke and Yang represents ‘Male’ was given to Naruto.

I also found this very interesting panel where Kishi almost subtly implied Sasuke as the heroine...

As you can see, this is the group picture in Naruto’s subconscious mind where Konoha 12 were grouped along with Naruto’s adoptive Dad Iruka, Kakashi Sensei, Jiraiya and 3rd Hokage. 

What’s so strange with this picture?

If you notice carefully, All the boys from his Academy were grouped on the left side and all the girls were grouped on the right side.

Why is Sasuke placed among the Girls instead of Boys, I really wonder??? This is such an odd choice from Kishimoto and I really think this is intentional. 

And then, I’ve already made a post about ‘How Sasuke mirrors Kushina’ .... Throughout the Boruto movie, we can clearly see Sasuke acted like a Mother to Bolt and was seen telling stories about Naruto. It was very similar to how Kushina talked about Minato to Naruto. So, the whole dynamics of Minato X Kushina X Naruto was given to Naruto X Sasuke X Boruto....

A person who stood beside the Hokage to help him with his duties.... It’s obviously Sasuke, the Shadow Hokage!!!

Both are talking about ‘Who Boruto looks like?’.... LOL.... I really wonder how can Naruto say that Boruto is like Sasuke??? 

Then, the Official Matching costume!!!

We usually saw Naruto used to wear that classic Orange Jumpsuit, in both part 1 and part 2. But Sasuke's costumes was always seen changing... Especially in part 2.

But throughout Boruto series, we can see them both donning Robes as their primary costume. Especially the colour choice is what made me squeal!!!

The colour of their robes is a clear parallel to Yin and Yang symbolism, again!!!!

Oh, By the way, I made another post about ‘How Hinata was a big fat liar’.... There are so many things Hinata said out loud in the name of confession but she never did any of those things. It was all performed by Sasuke in her stead. That makes Sasuke as the ‘True Life Partner’ of Naruto. 

And finally this, almost Family Picture from Boruto Movie!!!!!

Sasuke resembles Kushina in many aspects and Sasuke fulfilled all the lines which Hinata spouted as a confession. One or two things may be accidental!!! But not millions of blatant parallels thrown at our face!!!!

So,

Sasuke is the one and only heroine for Naruto... And that's why I ship them...

If I was gonna run with this kind of AU I would totally loop it around to tie into my Monstrous Strength Naruto AU

So you’ve got Shikamaru who’s out and about trying to find a quiet place to cloud watch where no one can find him and he accidentally runs across sweetly smiling, kimono clad, Naruto when he’s out training.

And at first it’s nothing unusual, Shikamaru’s not even surprised to have run across Naruto alone in the middle of the woods since everyone knows Naruto does nothing but train because he’s got no family or friends.

Shikamaru expects him to be just as loud and obnoxious as he is in class but it just … doesn’t happen.

Instead he gets to witness what Naruto’s like when he’s actually focused on something.  And even if it’s just Naruto punching a training log it’s still … interesting.

And then Naruto smiles, chirps “that’s enough warming up” and then there’s just chakra.

So thick and potent that Shikamaru can practically taste it blossoming warm and bright and biting across his tongue like sun warm satsuma.

The log Naruto’s been punching shatters clean apart and in that moment Shikamaru is lost.

He’s never felt chakra so heavy and potent and bright before.

And Shikamaru is a Nara with all that that implies, is the strongest they’ve seen in generations, and Nara’s are people of shadows after all.  And what does the shadow crave more than the light?

Of course Shikamaru was going to fixate when faced with a Naruto who shines like the sun.

So Shikamaru is completely gone from that day forward and Naruto is both confused and delighted because no one’s ever wanted to be around him before and now Shikamaru never seems to want to leave.  He’s always coming around now, threatening anyone who is rude to Naruto, bringing him food and ribbons and teaching him how to set better fires or where to hit to do the most damage.  He even broke Sasuke’s arm the other day when he called Naruto stupid and the last time Sakura hit him on the head she came back to class after lunch with her hair cut short and she hasn’t looked at Naruto since then.

And beyond all of that Shikamaru also comes to Naruto’s lonely little apartment and gives him new plants and talks about them getting married one day and being a family.

Naruto might not understand why he became the focus of the finer points of what Shikamaru has in mind but he’s been lonely for so long and he likes Shikamaru so much already that he just yearns.

Shikaku takes one look at Shikamaru, sees the Fixation™ has taken hold in the worst kind of way and promptly shows up drunk at Choza’s door begging to move into the Akimichi attic for at least the next decade or so.  When Choza laughs him off Shikaku slinks away only to be dug out of Inoichi’s flowerbeds later on after he tried to preemptively bury himself so he wouldn’t have to deal with what he can see coming a mile away.

Wakana - magic moment (2020) Album Review

My girl releases another album less than a year after her first. What a hardworking woman! First, let’s do some overall thoughts:

I really love the title of this album, it’s a happy title for a mostly happy sounding album

I also love the cover, maybe even more than the ‘Wakana’ Album

Are those shoes the same ones from the Aki no Sakura EP?

I really love the diversity of sound in this album. One of my complaints of the first album was the lack of variety. I love me some ballads (70% of my playlist of all the music I listen to are sad songs) but it felt a bit stale after a while.

My complaints with Wakana’s singing is always going to be the same thing since her vocal delivery has not really changed technically that much. Her vibrato is actually quite nice as opposed to what some people would say as ‘Goat Wakana’ (great criticism I must say), especially at the end of 442, her lower register is gorgeous but has no support (as expected of a soprano) and her higher notes in her chest voice are quite nasally. Her falsetto however is quite grating on the ears (I’ll elaborate later)

Why is Orange on the album? To fill up space, that’s why (I get it, making an album is hard, but why not just leave it out? There’d still be 10 songs) And Wakana wrote the lyrics, I guess?

I’m really interested to see how some songs will be performed live with some overlapping vocals (in 442) and strings being in many of the songs (without a violinist for the upcoming live)

I listened to the album first when I was in a bit of a bad mood so everything seemed super average. I’m feeling a bit better about most of the songs. Also after reading the self-liner notes for the album and listening to the lyrics, I was able to appreciate some of the songs more.

Okay, now for the individual songs:

breathing 

(Lyrics: Wakana | Arrangement/Composition: Yumemi Kujira)

The orchestra sound is so gorgeous. At first it was weird hearing the japanese lyrics though lol. I like how they added different instruments for variety’s sake. The choir in the background was more hit or miss for me. During the first chorus is was really distracting but it was great for the rest of the song. My main problem is not the song itself but Wakana’s delivery of the falsetto; it’s very disconnected and screechy. It’s very hard to listen to and since the same chorus is repeated 4 times? It makes it a bit of a hard song to listen to overall. Wakana needs to develop better placement, breathing techniques and support when hitting notes in her head voice.

揺れる春 (Yureru Haru) 

Lyrics: Wakana |  Arrangement/Composition: Miki Sakurai

I don’t really like this song? The lyrics are quite nice, but it just feels like a plain upbeat song about being happy and reaching for goals and all that fun generic stuff. But what Wakana said in the self liner notes made me feel a bit better about the song:

“The hook’s 駆け出した (run off) and 君の叫び (your scream) are connected, right?”

“The urge to run off and shout. It’s exhilarating, and the canvas that you have now is white so you can draw freely and go with the urge. And the second verse’s 睫毛に触れたのは 昨日の自分の欠��� (What touched my eyelashes was the pieces of yesterday’s me) are about tears. The tears hit my eyelashes and one part stops there. The fragments that came out of itself include those that you pick up yourself (I had a hard time translating that sentence so I used google translate hehe).

I LOVE Wakana’s low register in this song and the verses. I also really like the acoustic guitar, it provides a really contrast to the more dance-centric feeling of the song. The first chorus still lacks the appropriate punch, but the key change for the second half of the song makes up for it. Also those ‘wooah’s’ are really awesome. Wakana’s voice during the 3rd verse (after the key change) is just gorgeous.

Lyrics: Wakana, Airi Okamoto | Arrangement/Composition: Koichi Ikekubo

I really wanted to know the meaning of the title, and apparently it’s the hertz sound of a baby crying for the first time!

“The lyrics are co-authored. First we talked about the subject (of the lyrics), we said “When we plan the song, let’s make the theme the reason why you started singing”. So when looking at the lyrics given to me, words came out from inside of me. In particular, the phrase 愛の声が聴こえた (I heard the voice of love) that Okamoto-san produced for us for the hook. [...] I thought that I was born to listen to the “voice of love”. And so, that singing voice is echoing throughout my whole body. It’s strange to cry with the same sound of when we were born. I wonder why? I thought about it, I was born to do something and I thought that your first cry was a singing voice that expressed it.”

I love the melody and instrumentation of this song, especially the chorus. The chorus holds an incredible amount of weight. Apart from her nasality, Wakana’s singing is quite solid throughout this song. I love Wakana’s ‘ai no’ at the last chorus. So much power! I also really like the violin and am disappointed that there won’t be any in the live... Also I love the last line 響き渡る歌声 (resounding singing voice) and the music stops when Wakana sings ‘singing voice’. I don’t have anything objective to say about it, I just adore that part.

ひらり ひらり (Hirari Hirari) 

Lyrics/Composition: Silence! | Arrangement: Mamoru Kuge

Bland... It might take me a few listens but I don’t know if I’ll like this song. Wakana’s singing during the verses is gorgeous, very clear and the melody of the verses and pre-choruses are lovely, but the chorus is really bland and forgettable. I like what Wakana said about the song though.

“It's a song for people who want to meet but can't meet, whether it’s because you can't meet because you're away or because you don't have the courage.”   

I’m in a long-distance relationship, so this song hits home a little bit. The lyrics are actually quite sad. If the whole song was like the verses I’d like it a lot more but the chorus is so uplifting...

アキノサクラ (Aki no Sakura) (Acoustic ver.)

Lyrics: Kei Saito, Yoshitaka Taira | Composition: Kei Saito | Arrangement: Toshio Uchida

I love the combo of bongos and accordion! There isn’t much to say about this song apart from the new instrumentation and the tempo. I really like the former but not really the latter. I don’t think I like it more than the original, but it’s a very nice song. The vocalisations during the bridge is also a pretty touch, especially when Wakana sings along with the music. and that ‘naite’ at the end was so emotional

Lyrics/Composition: AlbatoLuce | Arrangement: Yoshifumi Ise

When I first heard this song, I thought it was BORING. On the second listen, I really liked it. Wakana’s voice is so gorgeous on this song. I love the melody of the line 壊れぬように抱きしめてた (I embraced it so it wouldn’t break). Her vibrato is a bit shaky with the delivery and her low register is not as clear as other tracks (but maybe that’s because of the mixing). Some of the strings sound synth, especially during the bridge but I’m not very sure. The parts with just the one violin instead of the quartet are my favourite bits of the instrumentation; it sounds really lonely. There’s nothing much else to say about it, a very solid song.

Lyrics: Wakana | Composition/Arrangement: Satoshi Takebe

I was disappointed. I really like this song and in my review of the live version I mentioned that her high register suits a song like this. But the way Wakana’s singing in the recorded version sounds different to me. The vowels are shaped in a way that sounds like a sadder song. Maybe this me being picky, but it took away from the happier experience. The nasality in her voice is the worst in this song, it literally sounds like she needs to sneeze and drink some water. Also the added noises (synth bells?) during the pre-chorus is very distracting. My review sounds very negative, but I really like this song and the lyrics are gorgeous. 

Happy Hello Day

Lyrics: Wakana | Composer: Akihiro Kasuga | Arrangement: Shu Kanematsu

At this point, the strings are really nice, even if they’re getting a bit old. But the piano during the verses is very cool... I really like the strings in the chorus and the melody of it too. The message of the song is quite sweet and easily applicable to anyone in every day life. These lyrics in particular:

手を叩き軽やかに Clap your hands lightly, 口笛吹いて whistling. ありふれた幸せで僕らはできてる We are made of ordinary happiness.

君が空を仰いで涙流し You look up at the sky, shedding tears. 息を詰まらせて動けなくなったら If you get short of breath and can't move, 此処に僕が居る I'm here.

These lyrics (for like the first 2 lines) are about a performer and the audience. Creating the atmosphere of a happy and chill live (clapping lightly, still listening to the music) and everyone being the same, even the performer. The second section reflects the way some people view performers and music to be an escape from their life. But it can also be interpreted as just an everyday person being happy to have met someone they like. I love how it’s so interchangeable and up for interpretation.

The strings are gorgeous (why no strings for the live????!!!!) and so are the verses. I particularly love the pre-chorus. The chorus however is quite bland and boring and the changing rhythm is a bit hard to grasp. The lyrics are lovely as well. I mean, I’m biased because Wakana wrote them. But I love these ones:

いつから夢も見ない大人になったの？ Since when did I become an adult that never dreamed? 最後の場所は決めたよ　さあ行こう I've decided on the last place. So, let's go!

The song is actually quite growing on me. I’m sure I’ll keep liking it but the chorus is still weighing it down. 

OVERALL:

I really like this album. An unimpressive first impression followed by a very nice second and third one. I’m impressed with the amount of variety in the songs and her singing is mostly solid. I just wish she would improve on different places and I’ll probably keep complaining about them. I think Wakana is liking the independence when it comes to helping the creation of these songs and I’m very happy for me.

10th: Riki Yanase ♡ [Love Letter from Thief X]

Riki is one of the guys I've been very addicted to.  I would spend my days (if I'm not at school) and nights reading his stories. He kinds of come out as an arrogant guy but he's really sweet and loving and passionate about the people he loves. He would always make them happy and safe and would put them and their happiness first. 

9th: Huedhaut ♡ [Star Crossed Myth]

When I first saw the summary or the preview for Hue’s story, I knew that I had to read it and I wasn’t wrong. This guy is a snarky hot and smart guy which rules the Zodiac sign Aquarius. He makes the best wines and all but he’s broken and refused to acknowledge love again after losing you, the previous goddess of fate, the love of his life. He sacrificed one of the stars in his life to make sure that you live. His sarcastic and funny comments would make you laugh, his painful past with the goddess of fate would make you cry, but his sweet and flowery words and gestures would definitely make you swoon. I swear.

8th: Ryota Mochizuki ♡ [Our Private Homeroom]

Before I played this story I had reservations about playing this game. Since I wasn't fond of teacher-student relationships and only went for student-student and teacher-teacher types, but boy did this story proved me wrong. I was practically smitten with him for being such a cutie and A MATH TEACHER. HE LOVES MATH AND SO DO I. We instantly clicked y’know? What’s better is that he’s kind to all of his students and cheers them on and just shows how damn good of a teach he is. Then he can like see and recognize your hard work and would totally cheer you on when you’re losing faith on yourself. He would also prioritize you, your dreams and your happiness above anything and would sacrifice his job that he loves and fight for you.

7th: Kyohei Rikudoh ♡ [Scandal in the Spotlight]

BBY KYO ❤ THIS GUY MAKES THE ABSOLUTE BEST FRIED RICE APPARENTLY HEHE JUST A FUN FACT. It was love at first sight with this guy. He’s the sexiest man alive I think? Well that’s true for me at least hihi. Kyohei loves to tease you and do sweet things for you. He would sacrifice everything for you and always put you and your happiness first. He loves seeing you blush and smile and make all those “cute expressions”. He would protect, care, love and cherish those important to him. He’s strict with work but that’s because Revance is really important to him. He’s hot and he knows it. He loves spending time with you especially alone times hihi 😉 He may come off as arrogant to other people but really, he’s just a handsome and easily jealous cutie pie. ❤

6th: Toma Kiriya ♡ [Irresistible Mistakes]

HERE COMES ONE OF MY SNARKIEST MOST SARCASTIC BUT LOVING AND SWEET AND UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORTIVE CUTIE. He loves sugary drinks tbh he says it gives his brain the energy it needs. He loves to work and he’s good at what he does, usually handpicked for big projects. He’s unstoppable with MC beside him hihi. He’s so cute when he blush like he’s such a cutie pie. He’s probably the best guy to have a conversation with, like literally he cracks me up every time and makes me happy every time I see his face. I’m in love hihi. WHY CAN’T TOMA EXIST IN REAL LIFE?! HE’S JUST SO PERFECT.

5th: Tsumugu Kido ♡ [Our Two Bedroom Story]

Here comes my awkwardly cute, blushes easily when he says or does something sweet or bold or when MC does the same, king of tightwads. He’s what you would call stingy but it’s just because of how hard it was for them in the past. He’s good with his work and has a “split-personality” hehe when he’s at work and at home. He loves the MC so much and knows how hard she works as well as how good she is at work but would never openly admit it in normal times. He’s such a cutie pie who loves strawberries and HIS SIBLINGS ARE SO CUTE AND PRETTY, sazuku being the cute and sakura and mizuki being the pretty ones. I love his puns and jokes. He loves seeing you happy and would be happy knowing that you are. HE’S SUCH A CUTIE I SWEAR BRO.

YOU GUYS, DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN KNOW OR REMEMBER GOSSIP GIRL PARTY? BECAUSE I CERTAINLY DO. THIS GAME IS STILL AND WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART AND MIND AND NOTHING CAN EVER MAKE ME FORGET THIS ESPECIALLY MY BABY IZAAC. OMG BABY KIYO OKAY HERE IT GOES WE’RE DOWN TO MY TOP 3. Kiyo is what would seem to be cold and indifferent. He would also be considered as strict and is like a robot who constantly works and doesn’t feel or show feelings at all. That’s what I thought at first too but his harsh words are actually very sweet in his own ways because he believes in you. He doesn’t want you to be sad and wants you to regain the confidence you lost. His story has inspired me to overcome my anxiety and do my best in the things I thought I couldn’t do. He would tell MC to decide on her own and he would grade her as well as to go beyond because she can. The story doesn’t just revolve around sweet stuffs tbh it also includes growth in both Kiyo and MC and it’s one of the best y’know. Kiyo also loves it when MC is being honest with him and is greedy with him as well. His ways have truly changed MC and you guys his story is really meaningful. And bro age doesn’t really matter here. I even forgot that Kiyo is younger than MC. hihi. 

2nd: My Precious Hot Ninja, Saizo Kirigakure ♥ [Samurai Love Ballad Party]

OKAY LAST TWO WOHOO HERE COMES MY BABE SAIZO!!!!! Okay so this guy is one of the best. Yes you read it right, I just fell in love with him before the game was released because at that time I thought that game was too mature for my age when I based it off their trailer. But I still tried it hehe Eisuke is known as the “King”. He owns the Tres Spades Hotel and the head of the Ichinomiya Group. He’s aloof, bossy and isn’t the type to be full on honest but he has a kind heart. He’s DEFINITELY HANDSOME and is a great leader and businessman. Despite his heartless facade, women would always surround him and beg for his attention even if he wouldn’t pay attention to them. He’s easy to misunderstand for being cruel and ruthless, but don’t be fooled, he’s doing things for a good reason.During his first season tho, he thought of you as a pawn, just something that he owns to be used, but the character development after passing through that phase was definitely tear-jerking and heart melting, all in a good way of course.  Another thing that I love about Eisuke is how his stories understands and helps solving one of the social problems in the world, shaming people, both physically, emotionally and also mentally. It has helped not only me, but many other people out there to love and accept who they are and that they don’t need to change and just be themselves. I’m really glad that I got to meet and fall in love with Eisuke for this long. He has and will always have a special place in my heart. The moon is beautiful, Eisuke and it will always be. ❤

HKT48 #MeruMio combi, Seriously using the camera through SNS ! What is the reason ?

Tashima Meru(17) Tomonaga Mio (19)  , 2nd Gen MeruMio Combi who pulled the group as they are, recently  doing something in SNS, ModelPress conducted an interview between these 2 about "Self Help by the SNS"

  Together passed 2nd Gen audition in 2012. Q1) Tashima-san, talking about "MeruCamera", what is inspired you to start it ?

Meru : I like to taking a photo,  Sasshiko (Sasshihara Rino ) said when i take a good photo, i was told "Just Bought a camera , cause it must be very good"

Meru : Cause it has been said for long time, When im start doing twitter, how about do planning with the twitter? When i thought about that, i was thinking to buying a proper camera, so i did. I decided to travel and do various thing and take a picture with the camera ( Meru Camera model is Panasonic LUMIX GF9 )

 Q2) Tashima-san also took a photo member, do they asked to be "shoot" too?

Meru : There are such things like "Can i take your picture?', But i like to take a picture without permission (laugh). Person who had nice smile are pretty easy to take.

Q3) So is that a there's technique?

Meru : That's right, Someday i think it would be nice to publish a HKT48Photobook bt gathering the picture i took.

Q4) On "Tomo to "  (project that shoot member serialized in FRIDAY magazine) How about the reaction from the fans?

Meru : I often say things like " Its MeruCamera" (laugh) said " Please more photos" and suggested " How about thid kid ?'(Laugh) , I think i wuld like to continue as it become more popular.

 ~Tomonaga-san recently had an impression to update the Instagram frequenly. Have been introducing makeup items and wearing fashion too, but what chance that you start doing it ?

Mio : Yes, Since im doing SNS, there's alot male fans, i think i would like to make lot women to know me more. Im start to going to various place, buy new makeup items as much as possible, although for me, it would be nice if you can see and use it, So im doing with taking a picture too.

Q5) Do you like to makeup things too?

Mio : I like makeup very much, I was helped by makeup-san and she bought me various makeup tools too.

Q6) But there's no place to show it ?

Mio : Yes. it was quite difficult, but when i start Instagram one years ago, and thinking it was a good opportunity.

Q7) In Instagram, The hastag maybe will make notice to the people which is not fans, do you feel it ?

Mio :Abosultely dont know,cause it was content for the ladies,Until now the Male fans is making more comment on it , but recently the comment from girls alo have been increased. There also kids who came to the Hanshake event too, si i would like to work more harder.

 Meru : The content is feels with quite warm feelings. Im shot with a baby, The baby cried when there's not a scene to cry, then baby suddenly fall asleep, it the tired moments, but the mother is amazed me, even though the baby crying, i was really moved by seeing the mom stopping the the crying as soon hugged the baby

Meru : Thats right, I had my picture with the baby too, But the baby getting bigger by unnoticed, Im surprised by the growtness of the baby

Meru : Its was lot of fun. The director tells me to play with full of my heart instead being scripted, It was difficutl, But it was  fun acting, and " I want to act more in the future

FE Analysis: Female Corrin’s Popularity

Ever since it was announced that Female Corrin would be the default version of the Fates Avatar represented in Fire Emblem Warriors, it got me thinking about the rise in Female Corrin’s popularity. Where ever you look, from fan art to written works, it seems the fairer gender is given more of the spotlight. When I started considering her success in recent popularity polls, it also brought to my attention the lesser reception her male counterpart has received in comparison. But why is this? How is the difference so great when the two Corrins are essentially the same characters? Here’s my sort of thought dump on the factors leading to Female Corrin’s popularity that has made her the current poster child for the character.

To start, I think it’s important to note that Fire Emblem as a franchise, has always had a male-bias. It’s a widely accepted idea that boys play video games more than girls, so for a long time, FE games traditionally featured a male main protagonist to ensure a relatable viewpoint. Only recently with Awakening and Fates have players been able to specifically choose their character’s gender. This notion of male protagonists being more relatable, and therefore more popular and marketable can be seen in Super Smash Bros 4 where Robin was chosen to be represented by his male version on the character selection screen, in his character trailer, as well as the model for his Amiibo.

The decision from Nintendo to only produce Male Robin Amiibos was met with some disappointment that a Female version was lacking. When it was time for Corrin to receive an Amiibo, Nintendo notably made a point to include both genders. Now, this could have been in response to the criticisms towards the Robin Amiibo, but I think this also had to do with the fact that Female Corrin could not be left out because of her enormous popularity.

In the Awakening character popularity polls in Japan, both male and female versions of Robin were very popular. Male Robin ranked 3rd amongst the male cast, and Female Robin ranked 2nd amongst the entire female cast. It was this positive reception that would ensure that an Avatar character would return in Fates. However, when it was time for the Fates popularity polls, Male Corrin ranked a very good 5th place for males. Female Corrin, on the other hand, took 1st Place for females, beating out every other female in the game.

So what does this mean?

Well, in Awakening both Avatars were… pretty similarly liked. But in Fates, there is a clear difference between the two genders - something made Female considerably more popular. To cement this, in Fire Emblem Heroes’ Choose Your Legend popularity poll, Female Corrin nabbed 5th place for females in the ENTIRE FRANCHISE with 19,599 votes (9th Place overall). And Male Corrin? He managed a paltry 21st place for males (41st place overall), with 7,691 votes - almost a third as much as Female Corrin. Heck, even Dorcas beat out Male Corrin, and he got poisoned by Mutton.

You can see where this is going, right?

When you’re marketing a game, you put your best foot forward. For Robin, the genders were on pretty equal footing, so Male was the safe bet. It was the tradition - it was what came naturally to Nintendo and Intelligent Systems. Boys play video games, so make the rep a boy. But for Corrin, things were different. Nintendo could not afford the luxury of just trusting the Male version as the predictable safe bet. This time, there was a clear imbalance in who the fans like more, and who would be most well received if they were made the default version in Fire Emblem Warriors. From a marketing perspective, the obvious choice this time, was Female Corrin.

So what brought on such a large disparity in reception? What gave sway to the Female gender transcending the norm for what kind of protagonist is considered relatable and likable? The answers are rooted in a philosophy as old as time: sexism.

To understand what makes Female Corrin so much more popular than her Male counterpart, we need only look into the very essence of their characters. In Fates, Corrin is defined by their kind heart and naive idealism. Unlike traditional Fire Emblem lords that mainly fight against an outside force, many of Corrin’s problems revolve around struggling to stay true to their kind heart amidst a cynical war. Because many of Corrin’s conflicts are against family or otherwise good people, Corrin repeatedly shows mercy and goodwill during times when a general can ill afford to. Even when others pressure or try to dissuade them, Corrin holds onto their hope for an ideal world, and is often pained and deeply burdened by harsh reality.

The consequence that arises from this kind of personality is that there are certain gender roles that modern society has instilled deep in our psyche that prevails even now. One trope that you can see just about anywhere even today is Men Act, Women Are. This trope describes the notion that characters are most likable when they embody traits we associate with their gender, namely that men are defined by their achievements, while women are defined by their personalities and appearances.

From a story perspective, the narrative benefits from Corrin being female. Corrin embodies traits that are most stereotypically associated with female characters in the FE franchise - namely compassion and naivety. You can see these traits in other forefront characters like Celica, Mist and Micaiah. As modern day players, we are conditioned to admire and respect female characters who are able to pursue just ideals and embody values of peace and optimism. A female character who weeps for the loss of life and falters when a cruel act is needed is seen as loving and sympathetic. On the other hand, a male character that cries openly and hesitates during critical moments is seen as weak and unreliable. A female character who trusts easily is often seen as pure and innocent, but a male who does the same can come across as naive or foolish. On the other end of the spectrum, female characters who suppress their emotions are seen as stone-hearted and world-weary, while males who do the same appear cool-headed and mature. Basically, for the common media consumer, Corrin embodies traits that are more easily associated with femininity, and the story comes together better as a result because we are less likely to second guess a female behaving the way Corrin does. We see what we want to see.

There’s also the detail that Corrin is often “babied” and deeply cared for by their siblings. Xander constantly worries for Corrin’s safety, Camilla smothers them like a child, and the younger sisters stick to them like glue. In my personal experience, I found the story slightly more appealing when it was a Female Avatar receiving such affection because how less conventional it felt compared to the more common Male protagonist who’s the center of attention. I was able to believe young girls like Elise and Sakura would be more comfortable around and able to admire an older sister rather than a brother. A story of an innocent maiden finding her place in the world surrounded by loving family is more appealing to me than a naive young man smothered by his siblings. In traditional anime and games, women are often the ones with strong familial connections, while men are typically associated with independence. It’s a shallow sentiment, but I do believe this detail affects to some degree how some players perceive and appreciate the character of Corrin.

The next big reason is a purely aesthetic choice: Female Corrin is pretty. It’s a fact of life that visual appeal contributes to popularity with consumers. Female Corrin has a very attractive design, invoking regal feminine elegance, but also obvious warrior power. Boys are clearly meant to like her a lot. In comparison, the Male Corrin looks… pretty typical, and even a bit bland. His armor is jagged in some areas while Female’s is sleek and smooth. His shoulder sleeves look tight and restrictive while Female’s is puffy and elegant. His leggings are… leggings. Female has thighs. (＾＾)ｂ

And perhaps it’s due to generations of Fire Emblem only having female dragons, but I feel I’m conditioned to think pointed ears just look better on Female Corrin than it does on Male. I’m not sure if that’s just me. Regardless, a powerful, sexy dragon girl naturally should fair better in popularity polls than an average anime male protagonist. Boys want her and girls want to be her, such is the intention and role of the Avatar character. There’s also the fact that the Fates Avatar kind of has a more feminine fighting style, don’t you think? Graceful twirls and cartwheels are more often seen as a feminine combat style, again, better suiting the Female Corrin. Just a minor note of mine.

So what’s the main take aways from all this? What makes Female Corrin more popular than Male Corrin?

To put simply: she’s just better. From a story perspective, her gender more easily meshes with her game’s themes, plot points and interactions with other characters. Her design is more attractive, and from a superficial stand point, Female just is more likable for these reasons.

Now, does this mean Female is the “canon” gender of her games? Not at all. The Avatar is meant to be whatever the player chooses them to be, and it’s up to the player’s preference on which gender betters the story more. While both do have their merits, in my eyes, Female adds more to the story with her as the protagonist, which is enough to give her favor.

In the end, it is the numbers that speak louder than words, and with Female Corrin holding nearly three times as many votes as Male, it’s obvious who would be made the representing gender of the character in Warriors. Considering Nintendo’s track record as of late, I do believe we will be getting both Female and Male versions of Corrin in Warriors, with Female acting as the main face in the character selection screen.

While it may not seem like a big deal, there are implications to Female Corrin receiving the spotlight this time. Due to the fanbase’s appreciation for a female protagonist, this may influence the protagonist of Fire Emblem Switch to also be female, or at least encourage Intelligent Systems to continue making the protagonist’s gender selectable. We are experiencing a shift in the FE franchise in what gender best suits a protagonist is now less defined. I look forward to Female Corrin in Warriors (if it wasn’t clear by now, I like her more), and I’m excited to see how this small but important choice in Warriors may affect the franchise moving forward.

Not everything is so cut and dry and so easily labeled, however. I would like to hear your thoughts on which Corrin you appreciate more in their game and outside of it. Who do you like more?

Is Sakura still a 15 y/o in chapter 9 of huab?

Short answer: yes, she is.

Long answer: So let’s talk canon timelines and the inconsistency thereof.

First off, I believe that in canon, Sakura is the youngest of the Rookie 9. This is not a headcanon. I believe this because her birthdate is the end of March. In Japan, the school year begins April 1 and so graduation is the end of March. Therefore, on March 30, everyone in a class is the same age. We’re told that the rookie 9 all became genin at age 12 in the databooks. There are only two ways this can be true:

1. If people with January birthdays are the oldest and December birthdays the youngest (which is what fandom seems to assume), they graduate at the end of December/beginning of January.2. If people with April birthdays are the oldest and March birthdays are the youngest, they graduate at the end of March/beginning of April.

Number two seems a lot more reasonable to me, based on the weather in the early arcs, and based on the fact that the Naruto world seems to operate just like Japan in a lot of other matters of law and custom. (Another example: Rock Lee specifically says the drinking age is 20, which is a very unusual legal drinking age in the real world. Only four countries have that drinking age: Paraguay, Uzbekistan, Iceland, and Japan!)

Secondly. Having established, at least, that it is reasonable to think that Sakura is the youngest of the Rookie 9, when did the whole Sasuke vs Itachi arc take place in actual Naruto?

So here’s Karin and Sakura passing each other unawares:

In general in this arc, people are dressed for rain and cold. The rain and cold are specifically discussed by Itachi and Kisame. Now Elvis McFlippyhair in the background of this pic apparently couldn’t care less, but there are always people like that. The point is, the narrative stresses it is getting colder and darker. Thematically, of course, this is A+++ use of the pathetic fallacy (which really needs a less judgmental name but I digress).

Then we move to the Pain Assault and we learn that Naruto is definitely 16:

So it’s after October 10th. Okay, cool, awesome, maybe it’s the end of October or the beginning of November–

…except Naruto and Sasuke’s final fight takes place on October 10th.

So how long does it go between Pain’s Assault and the Fourth Shinobi World War? Is Pain’s Assault supposed to have taken place in the early fall of the year Naruto turns 17?

Personally, I just think that’s too rushed, although I admit that Kishimoto probably had that in mind.

Heart Under a Blade is going to diverge from canon, but personally I set chapter 9 (and the upcoming chapter 10, Pain’s Assault) in late October/early November of the year that Naruto turned 16. Then the Land of Iron arc is going to occur through December and January, and then it’s time for c-c-c-canon divergence! *jazz hands*

Under the cut: my combination canon and headcanon timeline for Naruto up to the point of canon divergence in HUAB:

Naruto Year 0: Birth of Sasuke and Naruto. Sakura’s mother is pregnant during 9 Tails attack.Naruto Year 1: Birth of Sakura during cherry blossom season. Kakashi is put back into ANBU by the 3rd Hokage and undergoes various ordeals with ANBU and ROOT during his teenage year.Naruto Year 5-6: Sasuke has a fairly happy childhood at this point. Naruto ages out of whatever program changed his diapers (not even Hiruzen could put a baby into an apartment and call it a day and I think Studio Pierrot’s depiction of him living alone at age 3 is almost as ridiculous. Five is plenty young to be reprehensible without being completely impossible). Sakura has a happy life with her parents but is mocked and excluded by peers. Naruto attempts to save Hinata from bullies and gets beaten up by them and ignored by Ko when he gets Hinata.Naruto Year 7: Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura start the academy. Ino saves Sakura from bullies and becomes her best friend and idol. The Uchiha clan massacre occurs. Sasuke returns to school a dramatically different person. Here we have the inexplicable problem that canon seems to indicate that Sakura didn’t know Sasuke was an orphan or anything about the Uchiha Massacre when they were twelve. This is absurd and should be ignored/retconned IMO; either Kishimoto hadn’t come up with what had happened yet (plausible, because he was writing as he went), or he ignored that Naruto and Sakura should have known such a major event in order to preserve the surprise for the reader.Naruto Year 8-12: The kids attend the academy. At some point, Sakura, Ino, and most of the rest of the girls develop crushes on Sasuke. Personally I prefer this to happen around age 10. It gives Sakura and Ino more time to spend as best friends, which makes the breakdown of their relationship meaningful; if they became friends and stopped being friends within a few months when they were seven, that’s not nearly as compelling.

Kakashi gets taken off of ANBU and made a jounin sensei, but always immediately fails his genin teams. He does non-ANBU missions.Naruto Year 13: Graduation. Team 7 passes the bell test, sort of. Sasuke turns 13. In the summer, they have their first C-rank mission in the Land of Waves. Naruto turns 13 as they continue training.Naruto Year 14: Sakura turns 13. In the spring, after a year of being genin under Kakashi, they register for the spring Chuunin exams. Afterwards, Team 7 disintegrates.Year 14-15: The former team 7 students train with their respective sannin. Kakashi does various S rank solo missions including at least one failed mission to Ame. Sakura becomes a chuunin.Year 16: Sakura turns 15. Sasuke turns 16. In August, Naruto returns to Konoha. 2nd bell test and Gaara rescue mission. Beginning of September: failed attempt to retrieve Sasuke. Naruto spends the month of September training with Kakashi, Yamato, and Asuma. In HUAB, Sakura trains with Katsuyu in the Shikkotsu Forest. At the end of September, Asuma is killed. At the beginning of October, Asuma is avenged and another failed attempt is made to retrieve Sasuke through Itachi. Naruto turns 16. Jiraiya dies and Naruto goes to Mt. Myoboku. At the end of October or early November, Pain moves to secure the Nine Tails and is finally defeated. Mid-November, Tsunade’s coma is not abating and Danzo is appointed interim Hokage, pending a vote “in a month”. December, Five Kage Summit arc and Danzo’s death. Tsunade awakens.

And what happens after that will be a surprise! :3

Cutie Top 10: Hoppechan!

Here it is Cuties, my very first ever CUTIE TOP 10 list! Aren’t you excited?!

As you can see I’m in a better mood today and I’ve rid of all the stress and drama from last week. So here I am ready to make an ultra-fun post for everyone!

Okay, so if you’re new here or forgot, I’ve been planning to do Top 10 list topics for quite a while now. I’ve only done one, based on the Top 10 Items I’d Like From Kawaii Box, or something like that. If you click that bold text you can go check it out :3 Ah, I should mention- number 7 and 2 on the list we actually did get from a Kawaii Box sometime after I made it. I was so surprised.

Before I start, I counted the Hoppechan I own, and I have a total of 16! It took me probably twenty minutes or so to sort them out and determine which ones I was going to include- then probably another twenty due to lingering doubts and double-checking.

If I had 20 of them, I probably would have done a top 10 list, or maybe a Top 10 Hoppechan I didn’t like (if even possible!) to balance this one out.

In this post I will be counting down, so the Hoppechan who takes 1st place is my absolutely favorite of them all! I’ll also be providing a small bit of information with each one, what I like about them, etc.

10: MT. FUJI HOPPECHAN

To celebrate 2017, Hoppechan dressed up like Mt. Fuji to celebrate Hatsuhinode; a special new years event where people gather on various mountain tops to witness the first sun rise of the new year.

A simple, light blue Hoppechan representing the mountain, with cream on top in place of white top. A miniature red Hoppe was even included, colored red to resemble the bright shining sun, and there’s even a tiny mountain on top! Both Hoppechan are made from silicone, along with the cream. The mountain and tiny Hoppe’s bow is made from plastic, while they both have black gems for eyes, and gem cheeks. The larger Hoppe has pink cheeks, while the red one has white.

In the about 2 years that I was getting Hoppechan, I realized that I really liked the smaller sized Hoppechan. They were so cute, I couldn’t resist them. So while overlooking my collection, I was instantly drawn to this one. I know it might not seem like much, but the well thought out details were also pleasing to the eye.

9: TANABATA ANGEL HOPPECHAN

Inspired by the Magpie forming a bridge for the separated lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi, this Hoppechan takes flight for the holiday. It is recommended that the owners of this Hoppechan bring her along for July 7th, so that they can celebrate Tanabata and have their own wish come true; maybe even find true love. How dreamy~

This is another simple design, featuring a pale pink body and multicolored gem cheeks that alternate between light shades of pink and blue. She has a simple, glittery pair of white wings and an ultra-sparkly translucent star, giving her an angelic design.

As much as I enjoyed the elaborate looking Hoppechan, I also appreciated the simple and sweet looking ones like this. Pale pink is my favorite color, and I loved how her cheeks had a multicolored shine, her glittery wings and star just made this one all the more irresistible~

8: KAKIGORI HOPPECHAN

This slightly smaller than average Hoppechan is celebrating summer with a sunflower and some kakigori, or shaved ice. What makes this hoppechan special is that she GLOWS, and she came with three different “flavors“ of shaved ice: Ramune, Strawberry, and Melon- which are naturally Hoppechan’s favorites when she visits a summer festival.

This Hoppechan has a muted white body (made from glowing plastic) with basic eye and cheek gems. On her head is a plastic sunflower with a cute little translucent leaf charm. Her bowl is plastic and features a common design on most shaved ice cups. The shaved ice is clear silicone with a touch of color for that realistic ice effect.

I’m a strawberry girl, but my favorite popsicle/shaved ice/snow cones/etc have always been the blue ones. I’m not a huge summer season fan, but whenever I look at this Hoppechan, she reminds me of the fun times I’ll have anyway. Like going to all the fairs and festivals I look forward to, the shaved ice and sweets I’ll eat, the games I’ll play!

Yes, this Hoppechan does glow, if you were curious. Back when I reviewed it I tested it out under my desk. She glows a greenish color.

7. CHRISTMAS WREATH HOPPECHAN

Now this Hoppechan, I don’t have information on. She was the only one I couldn’t find the booklet for, but I do remember her being my second Christmas themed one. What makes this Hoppechan unique is that it’s also a PIN you can wear or attach to items.

This one has Hoppechan take a “back seat“ as the star- but that doesn’t mean she still won’t wear one✩ Hoppechan and the wreath are made out of silicone, while she has the same star from her Tanabata style. Three pearls, each one a unique color rest opposite of her, and on the top corner is a red polka-dot velvet bow. Hoppechan’s eyes are normal, while her small pink gem cheeks have a green shine in them.

Not only did I like the concept behind this one, but I love that it was also an accessory; it’d be perfect for any Hoppechan fans who wanted to bring her along.

6: Sakura Hoppechan

For the month of April, Hoppechan was preparing for Hanami, the cherry blossom viewing event. The inspiration behind her design is the water as petals land upon it. Be sure to take her with you when you go to visit the cherry trees!

(Admitting, I didn’t think to do that. We have some pink trees that she would have probably loved to have seen.)

Similar to the first Hoppechan on this list, this one has a very soft, baby blue body. What makes her unique is that rather than gem cheeks, she has pearls for an extra bit of elegance. On her head is a translucent pink sakura petal, along with a translucent pink and white flowers of different shapes and light glitter coating. The white flower has a tiny gem in the middle.

What I liked about this Hoppechan was her elegant and gentle design. As much as I love gems, I couldn’t resist her unique cheeks and her pretty decor. They go so well with her blue color but still stand out, bringing the eye straight to them.

5: HALLOWEEN HOPPECHAN

This was my second Hoppechan I ever received- and back then I thought she brought a lot to the party. Inspired by the Halloween elements she likes so much, this Hoppechan decked her ”hat” out with a jack-o-lantern, a big shiny star, a bat, and even some sweets in order to make it look like a Halloween Cupcake. She even spent the season decorating her shop for the holiday; she’s definitely a mood maker!

Making herself as Orange as a pumpkin, she has her normal gem eyes and cheeks. Her body and vibrant, unique purple cream/hat are silicone, while her decorations are all plastic.

To put it into words; this Hoppechan impressed me so much that I found it impossible to like the second Halloween inspired one we got- despite it being cute and sharing a few elements (it even came in a few different color options and had white gem cheeks!), but in comparison it looked so plain, I wasn’t interested. This is the only one I have that featured a different cream color, and I happen to like bats, as well as Halloween.

But, as much as I like this Hoppechan though, there is a reason why she isn’t closer to the #1 spot~

4: SWEET CAKE HOPPECHAN

As the Queen of Decoden Hoppechan has always dreamed of making delicious cakes and running a bakery (that’s also my dream x3 besides becoming an Idol- but that’s never going to happen). Here we have a bright, shinny gold serving tool with a delicious chocolate cake piece waiting to be served. On the very top is even a dollop of cream that looks like her! She was available in Chocolate cream, and Strawberry cream.

Or is it her playing a little joke?

This is an extremely elaborate Hoppechan composed of the gold utensil (and chain! The only time her chain changed color out of the ones I own!). The layered cake alternates between chocolate cream and cake, and on top are layers of chocolate and white cream decorated with a chocolate heart, a tiny gem heart, and a strawberry. The tiny pale pink Hoppechan has tiny gem eyes and cheeks, and wears a pink pearl flower-shaped ornament.

I admit, I was a tiny bit disappointed I didn’t get the strawberry cream one, but at the same time who could resist chocolate? Not only was I amazed to see Hoppechan that small, but I fell in love with the creative design inspiration behind this one. I had never seen anything like it! The detailing and quality put into the design blew me away- I’m also a sucker for realistic/detailed food looking things like the cake.

3: HISHIMOCHI HOPPECHAN

A girly and tiny Hoppechan charm focused on Hinamatsuri/Girls Day. Here, she sits on top of a Hishimochi, a special type of mochi that is only eaten on March 3rd to celebrate the health and happiness of all Japanese Girls.  

Featuring the three layers of a Hishimochi, a pile of cream rests on the corner, adorned with three colorful pearls and a single pink flower. The tiny Hoppechan is lilac colored with a peach-pink flower. She has normal eyes and cheeks.

Besides the general elegant design behind this one, I essentially liked her for things I’ve already mentioned. It’s all around small size is just precious, and it looks so deliciously cute with it’s sweet pastels~

2: CHRISTMAS HOPPECHAN

Hoppechan is all decorated for Christmas this year. She’s tended to the tree and got ready for her approaching date. She loves Christmas due to its lovely cake designs- and why wouldn’t she? She’s cream!

The inspiration behind this Hoppechan was not only a yummy looking cupcake, but the fresh, fallen, fluffy snow. The base is brown and made from plastic, along with her colorful tree, present, and translucent red bow. Her eyes are normal, while her pink cheeks are brightened considerably and have a colorful shine to accent the pearls and gems lining the glittering, translucent cream piled beneath her. A gem adorns her bow.

Honestly for a long time, I always though this Hoppechan was my favorite. I mean look at her! She’s super glittery and shiny! Not only that but the creative design and inspiration- if you ask me, this Hoppechan was made to spoil her beloved fans!

1: NEKO HOPPECHAN

As a fan of Cosplay and all things cats, Hoppechan was delighted to bust out her several pairs of nekomimi (cat ears) for her shop. She also adores Hello Kitty and did a collaboration with her in the form of various merchandise to celebrate her 40th anniversary. Squishy cats are her favorite, because they’re like her. 

Yes, here we are! Neko Hoppechan is my most favorite! Is that any surprise from a cat lover? But that isn’t my only reason, just look at her pink kitty parts, she even has a TAIL (and a bow on it but you can’t see it here), and a heart on her translucent glittery bow. She was made from several things I love!

She was also my very first Hoppechan, so she’s always been special to me.

Alright Cuties, I hope you enjoyed this kinda long dedication to Hoppechan! I love her so much, I really wish I could collect more. Maybe some day I’ll find a way to, and if I do I’ll be sure to show them off or make a brand new Top 10 featuring different Hoppechan. In a way, this topic brought me some closure, so while I still wish Hoppechan was included in the box, I’m more understanding of their decision now.

Meanwhile, I have at least 6 or so other ideas for Top 10 lists planned, but I’ll probably spread them out between Reviews and Box blogs. Tomorrow/later I plan on getting the next Review up, and on Wednesday or Thursday I’ll be posting my first “Crate Update/News” topic!
