Serious questions, because I don’t understand the PR business. So a star can just act like a dumbass and the team has to clean it all up? Do the teams ever get fed up and say enough? It’s like a glorified babysitter for some of these clowns.
Do you think anyone on Chris’ team ever tries to advise him against stuff and he just does whatever he wants or does the team truly think he can coast off of his clean Captain America status untouched?
Well, look, I'm not fully informed on celebrity PR, but from what I understand there are levels to it. There's basic everyday PR: they help arrange the celeb's press commitments, vet journalists/questions, sit in on interviews to keep them going in the right direction, make sure people get places on time, etc. In this part of it also goes in the basic overall shaping of the PR image the celeb wants to put out to the public, and the kind of everyday monitoring of SM and fan spaces to "take the temperature" of the public's thoughts about the celeb.
Then, yes, there is crisis management: the "clean up" times. So, this is just reaction mode and course correction from an unforeseen event. So, like the dick pic for Chris, or the news of this affair getting out for those two anchors on GMA.
From things I've heard about Chris.... no, he doesn't listen to a lot of advice. Someone recently used the word "petulant," and that's an impression I've gotten from some things I heard. He doesn't take criticism well at all, and I think sometimes even suggestions that don't jive with what he thinks sound like criticism to him.

Pinoy Tambayan | Pinoy Teleserye | Pinoy Lambingan | Pinoy TV
Pinoy TV, a colloquial term referring to Filipino television content, is a vital aspect of the Philippines' cultural landscape. It encompasses a wide variety of genres, from drama series (teleseryes) and variety shows to news broadcasts and reality programs, all of which play an essential role in shaping and reflecting the identity, values, and entertainment tastes of Filipino viewers. With millions of Filipinos both in the Philippines and across the globe, Pinoy TV serves as a bridge between tradition and modernity, connecting generations and creating a shared experience.
The Roots of Pinoy TV
The roots of Pinoy TV go back to the early days of broadcasting in the Philippines during the 1950s. RPN-9, GMA-7, and ABS-CBN were among the first networks to offer TV programming. At the time, most programs were inspired by Western content; however, as the medium evolved, local stations began creating original content that reflected Filipino culture and traditions. These programs began shaping the narrative of family-centered storytelling, a hallmark of Filipino TV that remains evident in popular teleseryes to this day.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Pinoy TV saw significant growth, with television becoming accessible to more Filipino households. Networks began producing beloved shows that resonated deeply with audiences, such as comedy series like John en Marsha and youth-oriented programs like Ang TV. Variety shows, such as Eat Bulaga!, also gained popularity, blending humor, music, and games into a lively mix that became a staple of Pinoy entertainment.
The Dominance of Teleseryes
One of the most influential and beloved genres in Pinoy TV is the teleserye—a Filipino soap opera that focuses on family relationships, romance, betrayal, and redemption. Teleseryes often explore themes that are deeply rooted in Filipino values, such as sacrifice, forgiveness, and love for family. Titles like Pangako Sa’Yo, The Legal Wife, and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano became cultural phenomena, captivating viewers with their compelling storylines and emotional depth.
Teleseryes are also known for their long runs, with some series airing for several years. For example, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, which stars Coco Martin, has been on air since 2015, becoming one of the longest-running TV shows in the country. These shows are not just a form of entertainment but serve as mirrors of societal issues, tackling topics such as poverty, corruption, and class divisions.
Variety Shows and Their Influence
Variety shows have long been a key feature of Pinoy Tambayan. Programs like Eat Bulaga!, It’s Showtime, and Wowowin provide a blend of entertainment, games, and social interaction, often involving members of the audience in lively contests. These shows promote a sense of community and offer lighthearted entertainment, which appeals to Filipinos' love for humor and music.
Beyond entertainment, these shows also engage in social initiatives, helping individuals and families through cash prizes, scholarships, and other forms of assistance. The generous and uplifting spirit of these programs resonates with Filipinos, both at home and abroad, contributing to their lasting popularity.
The Role of News and Public Affairs Programming
Pinoy TV also plays a significant role in keeping the public informed through news and public affairs programs. Shows like 24 Oras (GMA Network) and TV Patrol (ABS-CBN) provide the latest news updates and in-depth reporting, ensuring that Filipinos remain informed about local and international developments.
These programs also foster accountability and transparency by reporting on social issues, government policies, and public concerns. Investigative journalism shows like Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho and The Correspondents delve deeper into societal problems, empowering viewers by promoting awareness and critical thinking.
The Global Reach of Pinoy TV
As millions of Filipinos live and work abroad, the demand for Filipino content has grown, leading to the rise of Pinoy TV on international platforms. Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) rely heavily on television to maintain their connection to home. Major networks like ABS-CBN and GMA have launched international channels, such as TFC (The Filipino Channel) and GMA Pinoy TV, which provide access to Filipino programming worldwide.
In addition to satellite channels, online streaming platforms have expanded the reach of Pinoy TV. Services like iWantTFC, GMA Now, and Netflix offer Filipino shows on-demand, making it easier for the global Filipino diaspora to stay updated with the latest content from their homeland. This accessibility has not only strengthened connections between Filipinos abroad and their roots but has also introduced Filipino entertainment to new international audiences.
Challenges and Adaptations in the Digital Era
The rise of digital media has posed challenges to traditional television networks. With more viewers consuming content online, networks have had to adapt by offering streaming services and producing digital-exclusive shows. YouTube channels, TikTok, and Facebook have also become platforms for content creators, shifting some of the audience's attention from traditional TV to user-generated media.
Despite these challenges, Pinoy Teleserye has found ways to remain relevant. Many networks now engage audiences through social media, allowing viewers to interact with their favorite stars and participate in online discussions about popular shows. Television programs also incorporate hashtags and online voting mechanisms to engage viewers more actively, blurring the line between TV and digital content.
The Future of Pinoy TV
As technology continues to evolve, the future of Pinoy TV lies in its ability to innovate while preserving its cultural essence. The demand for Filipino content remains strong, both in the Philippines and abroad, suggesting that Pinoy TV will continue to thrive in the years to come. Networks are likely to invest in higher production values, explore new genres, and collaborate with international platforms to reach wider audiences.
Furthermore, as younger generations increasingly turn to digital platforms, television networks will need to embrace hybrid models, combining traditional broadcasting with online streaming and interactive content. These shifts will allow Pinoy TV to stay competitive and relevant in a fast-changing media landscape.
Conclusion
Pinoy TV is more than just a source of entertainment—it is a reflection of Filipino culture, values, and aspirations. From captivating teleseryes and energetic variety shows to informative news programs, Pinoy TV offers something for everyone. As it adapts to the digital age and reaches audiences beyond borders, it continues to be a vital thread that connects Filipinos, no matter where they are in the world. With its rich history and enduring popularity, Pinoy TV is poised to remain a cultural mainstay for generations to come.

BALITANG REHIYONAL: Giant Squid reportedly found in Negros Occidental [EXCLUSIVE]
HINOBA-AN, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL -- In one very astonishing encounter, local fishermen from a municipality of Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental caught sight of a big, giant squid that left their jaw-dropped agape, since then showing astonishment and awe. The sighting occurred previously in the late last-June 2024, during a routine fishing trip.
'Mr. Nicol John Entia', who is an independent social media fishing vlogger and uploader on Facebook (owned by Meta Platforms Inc.) who took a smartphone video of the incident while doing his latest squid and fishing vlog, when later combined together. By then, fishermen were already at sea when they noticed something strange lurking under the water. During that moment, they decided to finally pass by and found out that it was a big giant squid, weighing around 70 kilos.
GMA News was first to report a late news story that the said fishers, instead of trying to catch the underwater animal, chose to observe it from afar, knowing its size and strength. Respect the huge mollusk, commanded from them was evident as they did not put it in any danger or harm, considering that the Provincial Department of Environment and Natural Resources (PD-ENRO) had none of the legislative enactments, perhaps in relation, to capture this gargantuan white squid.
Videos captured from his own smartphone owned by Mr. Entia show the squids swimming with such grace underwater, below and around their very own fishing boat, while the local fishermen watched in amazement.
With that, the Hinoba-an fishermen, along with the squid and fishing vlogger himself, have all agreed not to capture this type of species. Rather, they just have to observe peacefully, and have the giant squid feel that they are saying 'Hello' in a most pleasant and respectful way that they can. It's like watching an animated movie in real life like Teenage Kraken as a reference.
Now that giant squids exist, this will stimulate to the public and tourist interests to the rich marine resources of the region, which they may wanting to conserve and protect. Just so you know, tuna and fish are allowed legally in small or larger numbers to be caught here in the Philippines. While the squids in our wrong hands does not.
An experience as unconventional as this will serve to pay tribute to the vast, broad and diverse water areas that fringe the Western Visayas region, and it shall be told in reverent hands and with respect to these natural wonders for them to be passed on to the next generation, with the help of DENR and Department of Tourism (DOT).

In the Philippines, the media landscape is diverse and reflects the country’s rich cultural heritage and complex social dynamics. The primary types of media include print, broadcast, online, and alternative media, each playing a crucial role in shaping public opinion and disseminating information.
Print media, comprising newspapers and magazines, remains relevant, although it faces challenges from digital platforms. Major newspapers such as Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Philippine Star provide news coverage on national and local issues.
Broadcast media, including television and radio, is immensely popular. Large networks like ABS-CBN and GMA Network dominate the television sector, offering a mix of news, entertainment, and public affairs programming. Radio also thrives in the Philippines, with numerous local stations catering to varied audiences, particularly in rural areas where access to technology may be limited.
Online media has exploded in recent years, with social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter becoming central to information dissemination. This shift has empowered citizens to participate actively in discussions and share their perspectives quickly. However, it has also led to the proliferation of misinformation, making media literacy more essential than ever.
Finally, alternative media outlets, including community radio stations and grassroots platforms, provide marginalized voices an avenue to share their stories and perspectives. These platforms often address issues overlooked by mainstream media, thus enriching the media landscape.
Overall, the Philippine media landscape is vibrant and multi-faceted, playing a critical role in democracy and public discourse despite facing challenges such as censorship and the pressure of sensationalism. As the media continues to evolve, particularly with technological advancements, its influence on society will undoubtedly grow.

GMA’s Amy Robach ‘blindsided’ by extent of TJ Holmes’ past office ‘affairs’ & feels like ‘collateral damage’ in scandal
Jessica Finn
Updated: 11:55 ET, Jan 23 2023
GOOD Morning America's Amy Robach was blindsided by the volume of boyfriend TJ Holmes' alleged past affairs and feels like she is "collateral damage" in the scandal, a source has exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
Amy and co-host TJ were both taken off the air at GMA3 when news of their romance came to light in late November 2022, and are believed to be on the chopping block at the network.

The source told The U.S. Sun: "She had no idea the scope of TJ's alleged past office romances.
"She certainly did not foresee that their relationship was going to cause major upheaval - outside of her own marriage.
"She did not expect this to blow up into a scandal."
After Amy and TJ's romance was revealed, the GMA3 stars were pulled off the show, but in the aftermath, other lurid claims against TJ came to light.
Last week, the DailyMailreported that TJ, 45, had an alleged affair with an ABC intern13 years his junior early on in his marriage to Marilee Fiebig.
It was also alleged he had slept with an ABC producer before his romance with Amy.
The insider also believes ABC'S investigation "will look into Amy's past to try to find some scandal, but fortunately for her, she is fairly well-behaved."
The source added that while both TJ and Amy's lawyers are in contact with ABC as they work out their potential exit, their cases are being treated separately by their respective teams.

Reps for Amy and TJ declined to comment.
Multiple sources close to the couple have repeatedly said the same thing about their relationship.
One claimed: "These are two consenting adults, they did nothing wrong. There's been no abuse of power here. These are co-host positions."
However, several sources have told The U.S. Sun the pair believe they are getting cut at the network.
FINAL TALKS?
Last week a well-placed insider claimed mediation talks are scheduled for this week withtheir lawyers, ABC's attorneys, and the network's top brass to hammer out the pair's exit package. However, another source said while mediation is in the works, they weren't aware of anything scheduled just yet.
"All parties are willing to mediate, but there is just no guarantee that mediation will be successful," the second insider added.
Meanwhile, yet another insider revealed that the coupled-up co-hosts are unofficially out at GMA3 and they've been bracing for the worst possible outcome.
Another source with knowledge of negotiations added that Amy and TJ's attorneys are currently in close contact with the network's legal team.
"They are all working through strategies to make the hosts comfortable enough so that the network can move on from this as quietly as possible," the source said.
SHOCKING AFFAIR
TJ and Amy sent shockwaves through the TV world when their relationship was exposedin late November 2022.
The couple, who began anchoring GMA3 together in 2020, allegedly began their romance over the summer, with both claiming they were already separated from their spouses at the time.
They were taken off GMA3 after the public caught wind of their relationship.
A number of hosts have been filling in for them during their time off, including Janai Normanand Gio Benitez.
Since their relationship was made public, Amy and TJ have not kept it hidden.
They were caught kissing and cuddling during a steamy getaway to Miami days after Christmas.
The couple also smiled and looked cozy during a grocery rundays later.
TJ filed for divorce from his wife, Marilee Fiebig, late last month in New York after 12 years of marriage.
They have a daughter, Sabine, 10, together.
Sources have previously told The U.S. Sun that Amy is working on her divorce from her husband, Andrew Shue, however, neither has filed paperwork as of yet.

This is the Station ID of GMA in 2005. This is also the first Station ID to feature an orchestra. The Station ID features Martin Nievera as the conductor, Sharon Cuneta as the concertmaster, Piolo Pascual as the pianist, Ryan Agoncillo as the guitarist, Aga Muhlach as the drummer, Ritz Azul as the Flute player, Arcee Muñoz as the Oboe player, Ruffa Gutierrez as the Clarinet player, Fernando Poe Jr. as the English Horn player, Mark Gil as the Bass Clarinet player, Christopher de Leon as the Bassoon player, Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon as the trumpeter, Alice Dixson as the French Horn player, Tuesday Vargas as the Trombone player, Coco Martin as the Tuba player, Bayani Agbayani as the Euphonium Player, Derek Ramsay as the Baritone Horn Player, Edu Manzano as the Timpani player, Richard Gomez as the glass harp player, Toni Gonzaga as the glass harmonica player, and the orchestra players, Heart Evangelista, Dimples Romana, Bea Alonzo, Eula Caballero, Hero Angeles, Jericho Rosales, RK Bagatsing and Lucy Torres-Gomez as the First Violinists, John Lloyd Cruz, EJ Falcon, Janno Gibbs, Eric Fructuoso, Mel Martinez, Rene Hawkins, Patrick Garcia, Justin Cuyugan and Pen Medina as the Second Violinists, Maricel Soriano, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Epy Quizon, Eric Quizon, and Vandolph as the Viola players, Eddie Gutierrez, Tonton Gutierrez, Janine Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, Geoff Eigenmann, Gabby Eigenmann, Andi Eigenmann, Niño Muhlach and Michael de Mesa as the Cello players and Jaime Fabregas, Leandro Muñoz, Mark Lapid, Cherie Gil, Albert Martinez and Efren Reyes Jr. as the upright bassists featuring the GMA News and Public Affairs crew members like Henry Omaga-Diaz and Mike Enriquez as the trumpeters, Cheryl Cosim as the Clarinet player, Karen Davila as the Oboe player, Jessica Soho as the Bassoon player, Mel Tiangco as the French Horn Player and Amelyn Veloso as the Cornet Player. Somehow, Willie Revillame does not appear in the Station ID because he is disqualified from the orchestra by Filipino singer, songwriter, television host and conductor Martin Nievera. Due to this, Willie Revillame decided to quit GMA after Martin Nievera got jealous at Willie Revillame when he conducted the 2005 Kapuso Theme in Talentadong Pinoy in April 30, 2005. However, Martin Nievera fell in love with Sharon Cuneta where they got married in October 31, 1997. However, They had 2 children, Robin Nievera who was born in August 15, 1998 and Ram Nievera who was born in March 23, 2003. The Station ID of GMA in 2005 was composed by Louie Ocampo. The Station ID of GMA was used for the 55th anniversary special. But eventually, The Station ID of GMA can be used from 2005 until 2010. However, This is the last Station ID of GMA to feature Arcee Muñoz, Alice Dixson, Tuesday Vargas, Ritz Azul, Eula Caballero, Hero Angeles, Aga Muhlach, Niño Muhlach, Coco Martin, Ryan Agoncillo, Toni Gonzaga, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Geoff Eigenmann, Gabby Eigenmann, Bayani Agbayani, Raymond Bagatsing, Andi Eigenmann, Fernando Poe Jr., Mark Gil, and Rene Hawkins. In the opening and ending, Some books are seen like Unang Hirit, Eat Bulaga, Talentadong Pinoy, Mapagkailanman, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right and the yellow book with GMA at the front cover and "The End" at the back cover. But somehow, This will be used in the opening of the 2010 Station ID of GMA. But the ending was different when sparkles come out when the book closes. Somehow, There is a group orchestra picture at the very end before the book closes.
The Station ID was recorded in May 1, 2005 before Arcee Muñoz, Alice Dixson, Tuesday Vargas, Ritz Azul, Eula Caballero, Hero Angeles, Aga Muhlach, Niño Muhlach and Coco Martin move to TV5. But now, It’s obvious that Ryan Agoncillo, Toni Gonzaga, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Bayani Agbayani, Raymond Bagatsing, RK Bagatsing and Andi Eigenmann may have moved to ABS-CBN in 2005. But eventually, This was Fernando Poe Jr.’s last Station ID from GMA before his death in September 11, 2005. Sadly, This was also going to be Mark Gil’s last Station ID before his death in November 11, 2005. But now, It’s obvious that it was the last Station ID of Rene Hawkins before his death in February 14, 2009.
