😅😅 the truly bizarre trend of cute cockles moments being audibly distorted in some way:
“yeah baby, take it all off” (spnuk 2018 j2m strip questions panel)
“hey sweetheart” (pre-upfronts 2019)
“okay, babe” (cockles gish zoom)
and now ccl with “that’s one of the reasons why i love him”
the cw sniper hates rps and never sleeps <3
#cockles#it's so funny#luckily we can 100 % hear 1 and 4#nr 2 i would also say yes but there's some people who disagree#and okay babe is real to me

Arthur Asher Miller (October 17, 1915 – February 10, 2005) was an American playwright, essayist and screenwriter in the 20th-century American theater. Among his most popular plays are All My Sons (1947), Death of a Salesman (1949), The Crucible (1953), and A View from the Bridge (1955). He wrote several screenplays, including The Misfits (1961). The drama Death of a Salesman is considered one of the best American plays of the 20th century.
Miller was often in the public eye, particularly during the late 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s. During this time, he received a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee, and married Marilyn Monroe. In 1980, he received the St. Louis Literary Award from the Saint Louis University Library Associates. He received the Praemium Imperiale prize in 2001, the Prince of Asturias Award in 2002, and the Jerusalem Prize in 2003, and the Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize in 1999.
Miller's writing career spanned over seven decades, and at the time of his death, he was considered one of the 20th century's greatest dramatists. After his death, many respected actors, directors, and producers paid tribute to him, some calling him the last great practitioner of the American stage, and Broadway theatres darkened their lights in a show of respect. Miller's alma mater, the University of Michigan, opened the Arthur Miller Theatre in March 2007. Per his express wish, it is the only theater in the world that bears his name.
Miller's letters, notes, drafts and other papers are housed at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin. Miller is also a member of the American Theater Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 1979. In 1993, he received the Four Freedoms Award for Freedom of Speech. In 2017, his daughter, Rebecca Miller, a writer and filmmaker, completed a documentary about her father's life, Arthur Miller: Writer. Minor planet 3769 Arthurmiller is named after him. In the 2022 Netflix film Blonde, Miller was portrayed by Adrien Brody.
Miller donated thirteen boxes of his earliest manuscripts to the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin in 1961 and 1962. This collection included the original handwritten notebooks and early typed drafts for Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, All My Sons, and other works. In January, 2018, the Ransom Center announced the acquisition of the remainder of the Miller archive, totaling over 200 boxes. The full archive opened in November, 2019.
Christopher Bigsby wrote Arthur Miller: The Definitive Biography based on boxes of papers Miller made available to him before his death in 2005. The book was published in November 2008, and is reported to reveal unpublished works in which Miller "bitterly attack[ed] the injustices of American racism long before it was taken up by the civil rights movement". In his book Trinity of Passion, author Alan M. Wald conjectures that Miller was "a member of a writer's unit of the Communist Party around 1946", using the pseudonym Matt Wayne, and editing a drama column in the magazine The New Masses.
In 1999, the writer Christopher Hitchens attacked Miller for comparing the Monica Lewinsky investigation to the Salem witch hunt. Miller had asserted a parallel between the examination of physical evidence on Lewinsky's dress and the examinations of women's bodies for signs of the "Devil's Marks" in Salem. Hitchens scathingly disputed the parallel. In his memoir, Hitch-22, Hitchens bitterly noted that Miller, despite his prominence as a left-wing intellectual, had failed to support author Salman Rushdie during the Iranian fatwa involving The Satanic Verses.

In this post on the Insider Gaming article and this post on the Reddit screenshot etc leaks (spoiler warning for DA:D at links), I mentioned comments made by possible playtesters/similar folks on Reset Era from October 2022. since I referenced them and many people don't use that site, I thought I'd belatedly collect them here for reference. under a cut in case of DA:D spoilers -
first, the usual set of disclaimers that should be kept in mind with all leaks: might not be real, unable to verify at present, sometimes leakers think they’re right about things but are unintentionally incorrect or got some wires crossed, games change a fair bit between development phases and final release, take with grain of salt etc.
User: "Important to remember that this doesn’t mean the game is anywhere close to release. Still plenty to do and plenty that will be changed between now and release." Possible playtester or person who has otherwise seen or heard about the game (hereafter notating these users as "PP" for brevity): "At the very least I like the gameplay direction they are taking is better than the previous games, and they have a clear direction of where they want this game to go. Although I have always preferred actions rpgs, and am looking forward to the inspiration they took for combat." - PP2: "Folks should be excited but also expect a smaller scale game, plenty of people on the team have 'complained' that it doesn't feel AAA in scope." [...] "I would say just dont go in expecting something other WRPG are producing in terms of game size...if that makes sense lol" - User: "Totally fine, it sounds like it's gonna be a better version of Dragon Age 2, with fleshed out city + surroundings" PP1: "This is not a good description of DAD." - User: "For the love of the Maker, bring back the Darkspawn." PP1: "They did." - User: "I haven't been paying attention. Are they bringing back tactics, or are they leaning more towards the awesome button?" PP2: "They're leaning toward God of War/ Mass Effect over the shoulder combat." - User: "is it open world or splitted in several areas?" PP1: "Only saw certain linear zones, but whether it is all DAO/2 style zones or mixed open and linear zones like DAI is up in the air. I would prefer the latter with less grinding required to progress like everyone else of course." - User: "That's a bit disapointing, but as long as they have a coherent direction, it's still better than the last 2 game's attempt at spliting the baby in twain" PP1: "GOW 2018 style melee, so not mash button for success but timing, combos, mixing up skills, and playing on your build/skill strengths." - User: "ok but I need Knight Enchanter mage or gish equivalent" PP1: "I think with each class you choose at the beginning you can end up with three subclasses." - User: "Was what you played still party-based?" PP1: "Party commands were disabled, so how much control you have is also an unknown." -
User: "Does one [class] include a magical archer, something beyond the Tempest specialization in scope?" PP1: "Well my base class was a warrior type so there was no access to ranger or mage types, but the warrior does have a magic subclass." - User: "Oh wild lol. I thought this kind of stuff is usually under lots of NDA or something similar" PP1: "It is, helps that no one has leaked screenshots or footage." - User: "I figure you can’t say exactly when it happened, but given your mention of party commands being disabled, it guess it happened after the report of last year about the game shifting to a full SP experience, correct? It seems the action-based gameplay that was lightly teased by some devs before remained even when the game shifted to SP, given your impressions." PP1: "Yes, any part I have seen of the game was after that. This part is speculation, if they have open zones like DAI they can still pull off a live service similar to the last three AC games and it would have no effect on people strictly coming to the game for the story. I would even go as far as saying this might be positively received if they only have cosmetic BPs and mtx." - User: "I think dlcs of various forms, from story to outfits/weapon will still happen; even before, when the game was mentioned to be a live service one, they used DAO as something that already fit that definition. The game won’t go beyond that scope in terms of ‘live service’ though, given how much they’re starting DreadWolf is a full SP experience. Interestingly, from the blog update and the lead developer afterwards, ME seems to follow the same path." PP1: "Yeah I think dlc in terms of story expansions are a lock. If they ever want to tread the live service waters again, there is a great template for them to follow." - User: "the neon colored logo has me thinking this might go a very different direction than typical fantasy" PP1: "Not really." - PP1: "The second one [DAII] was quite literally hold a button to attack since the game was easy. The new one is not at all like that." - User: "Or if Dreadwolf even has a party-based system?" PP1: "Yes"
[source <- DA:D spoiler warning for link]
Notes: Posts from October 2022. Some of the stuff said is corroborated by the Reddit leak (e.g. no control of party members at timepoint when game was played, the part of the game that was made available to test being a linear zone). in some places PPs are speculating. and ofc screenshots/a bit of footage has now leaked on Reddit the other day.

2022 in Mittens Fic
It’s time again for the annual accounting of things I wrote this year! I’m pleased that while still a disappointingly low total for me, I still beat my total word count from 2021, so progress is being made, which I’ll always gladly take! Honestly anything is better than that 2020 total at this point lolol! I long since abandoned my goal of ever surpassing the 250k i posted in 2015, but that’s okay! I still wrote a decent bit!
For reference, past year end summaries can be found here:
2021 | 2020 | 2019 | 2018 | 2017 | 2016 | the closest thing I have to a 2015 wrap up post is the lil bit of text at the bottom of 2016′s post… even though my two most popular fics were from 2015 lololol
I managed a Pinefest fic, a DCRB fic, AND a DCBB fic this year, which is the first time I’ve ever managed all three, so go me I guess? And maybe I enjoy working to deadlines more than I ever assumed before? Or maybe I would’ve written even more if I hadn’t been pushing at deadlines (and letting myself slack off, even if rest is important and beneficial to writer brain, when I was far ahead of schedule...). But I’m overall pretty pleased with this year’s works.
I tied last year’s fic total, with six, but beat last year’s word count with 117,486, so go me! Not even counting the ~63k fic i’m working on for pinefest this year...even if it’s already written it’s not posting until February. Love rolling over a big fic into the new year every year like this. it feels weirdly like cheating somehow, yet I do it every year :’D
Also slightly cheating, but since I mentioned it last year, I still haven’t missed a week of my eternal rewatch podcast, @spngeorg which is still going strong! Uploading episode 91, 5.09 The Real Ghostbusters tonight! If my millions of words of written meta aren’t enough for you, you can now hear me being grumpy about this show out loud! (new episodes drop every Thursday night at or around midnight eastern time, if you’re interested you can start from the beginning on AnchorFM or wherever you enjoy podcasts!)
Let’s get to the fic! Presented in the order they posted:
Mr. Fix It (54,383 words, rated M) written for the Pinefest. It started with a photo of the shopping center sign that Mel sent me several years back, and the instruction “this is a writing prompt.” Amazingly, it was a great writing prompt! and a great art prompt, thanks to @lotrspnfangirl! Dean runs a repair shop called Mr. Fix It with Charlie, and Cas runs the bar at the other end of the strip mall, Steve’s. There’s shady real estate dealings, secret identities, and found family taking care of each other through it all.
lectio in equis (13,016 words, rated T) my first ever DCRB, and I screamed delightedly when I claimed @scarlettmichkat ’s artwork! Actually still kinda lowkey screaming about it. I LOVE this artwork. Like, wanna frame it and hang it in my living room love. Canon case fic, sort of, as Dean and Cas get to play cowboy for a day looking for a lost MoL chapter storage facility out in the New Mexico desert. Plus, Jesse and Cesar being the best retired hunters.
Baby X-File (2,698 words, rated T) Written for the final GISH hunt, a crossover scene between SPN and the X Files, canon-adjacent to both, to a prompt from my team captain who isn’t on tumblr... thank you Sammy!
honey wine (764 words, rated T) annual deancasversary fic! They go to the rennfest, and medieval hilarity and fluff ensues
Heart Shaped Box (43,504 words, rated M) my DCBB this year, canon case fic wherein Dean and Cas are the case. beautifully illustrated by @marvfortytwo and a cathartic walk through a series of memories. I mostly wanted to revisit . Set within days of Dean rescuing Cas from the Empty, because that’s exactly what happened in canon as we all know (I SAID, AS WE ALL KNOW).
The Ghost of Christmas Present(s) (3,121 words, rated T) annual holiday fic, Dean and Cas attempt holiday shopping together. hilarity and shmoop ensue.
And that’s my year in fic. Like I said at the top, I’ve already got more than half this total written to post in 2023, so it looks like I’m still not slowing down. Since I posted my To Be Written file’s stats last year, I figured I should do the same again...
lol... a year later, two pages and 1400 more words added... i swear at this rate i will never finish writing it all, which I find weirdly comforting.
Thanks to everyone who’s read, kudos’ed, commented, reblogged, rec’ed, and enjoyed anything I’ve written in the last year. I love you all. <3 See you in 2023!

Stormtrooper Armor, Mark 2
In 2013, I was living in a small town in Iowa, and I not happy. I was not happy in a way I couldn’t begin to process until I’d gotten a new job and was moving out of town. But that was over a year away yet. To cope, I fell into Supernatural, hard. I caught up by watching syndicated reruns before work in the mornings on TNT, and I was keeping an eye out online for anything related to Supernatural.
I found a video, of Misha Collins, and several other, non-actor people. They were staying in a haunted castle in Scotland, and it looked like so much fun! The trip was the grand prize for something called Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen, or Gishwhes. And a new hunt was starting up in a couple months. (Super)Naturally, I decided to play. (No, I will not apologize for that pun.)
There’s more about Gish online, so I’m not gonna repeat it here, but I was hooked. The hunt list was huge, and there was an item that sounded really cool:
5. IMAGE: A stormtrooper at a laundry mat folding clothes. (56 points) (From https://www.fangirlquest.com/gish/gish-item-list-2013/)
I didn’t have any kind of Stormtrooper costume, so I let that one go and made a bikini out of tea bags instead. But I kept that item in mind, in case they did a Stormtrooper item next year.
The point of Gish, at least as I always played, was not to spend money, but to get creative. Stortrooper armor is really fucking expensive, and the sets I’ve seen are meant for the troopers in the movies, i.e., adult men. I am nowhere near the same size as an adult man, so even if I could afford armor, it would be too big.
There’s a community of folks called the 501st Legion, which are stormtrooper cosplayers. They make their own armor, as screen-accurate as possible. You’ve seen them before, they tend to be asked to appear whenever somebody needs A Lot of stormtroopers for an event. These folks are hard core, at least compared to me. They build vacu-forming machines in their garages to custom fabricate their armor (this was before 3D printing was widely available). Well, I did not have the time, money, or space to build a vacu-forming contraption.
But I had another idea: duct tape. I thought, if I covered cardboard with white duct tape, I could fashion a set of armor for myself. So I went looking for a pattern, and started to save boxes. It took over a year, but I pulled it off! I did buy the helmet, and the boots were slipcovered with white vinyl fabric (think Pizza Hut table cloth fabric), cut from a pattern for Ugg-style slippers.
This lovely person has created Sand Trooper armor, which are the patterns I used. Thank you so much, kind cosplayer! I couldn’t have done this without you! http://foamysandtrooper.blogspot.com/
That armor served me well until 2022. But it was so hard to move in, and after so many times taking it off and putting it on, it looked pretty sad. Also, I made this armor before The Force Awakens came out, so the armor wasn’t actually attached to me. I had to wear a belt and use loops of nylon strap material to keep the thigh armor from sliding down my leg. After I saw Finn taking off his armor piece by piece, I thought that in my next version, I’d use something to make the armor attached to the black underclothes. Maybe Velcro. Plus the cardboard hwas heavy and bulky, and there had to be a better material.
And yeah, I know, most cosplay armorers use Worbla or craft foam, but I have zero experience with that, and I’d hate to screw up on a huge project with expensive materials. I thought I’d have better luck with posterboard.
I played with ideas, and in 2018, after Gish, I even bought some poster board and white duct tape to get started.
And then I got a new job, and I had to move, and learn a new area. And the old armor still looked good in photos, so I let it go. And so it went, until summer 2022.
2014 3. IMAGE. It’s “me time.” Spoil, pamper and be decadent to yourself like you never have before. Oh, and P.S., you’re dressed as a Stormtrooper. (48 points)
2015 179. IMAGE. Work opportunities are scarce since the Death Star blew up. Let’s see a stormtrooper working at their job as a waiter, fast food line prep, car mechanic, postal worker, deli sandwich maker, road-repair worker, etc). – Katherine Parsons (65 points)
2016 #76 97 POINTS Nobody ever talks about the fact that 250 years ago, stormtroopers who had been abandoned on planet Earth were forced to assimilate into pre-Industrial culture. Dramatically re-enact this difficult time. Show a stormtrooper getting back to basics using a spinning wheel, butter churn, or other old-fashioned tool or machine in a rural setting. Feel free to add accessories to the stormtrooper’s outfit to make their assimilation more complete—a Shaker-style hat, a musket slung over the shoulder, etc.
2017
#116 65 POINTS Not many people know this, but the Kessel Run was actually a foot race. Let’s see at least 5 Star Wars characters competing in the Kessel Run in a shopping mall.
2018
60 POINTS Assign To Me Submit Modern stormtroopers are so much more enlightened these days. They’re in touch with their “new age” side and have their chakras aligned. In fact, you just spotted one teaching a yoga class or leading some other new-age class.
2019
34. [IMAGE] The Federation of Stormtroopers has been officially sponsored by the X Games this year. Let’s see a highlight from one of their competitions with the stormtrooper participating in an extreme sport. (81 points)
2020 main hunt
247. [IMAGE] Where do stormtroopers go in the summer? To summer camp, just like the rest of us. Show us a Stormtrooper engaged in a typical summer-camp activity: canoeing, sailing, archery, making s’mores or playing guitar by a campfire… you get the idea. (37 points)
2020 October mini hunt
63. [IMAGE] Everybody knows Stormtroopers love Halloween. Show a Stormtrooper dressed up as what they REALLY wanted to be — a gentle, sweet or heroic costume like a ballerina, a firefighter, a fairy, etc. They should be in their Stormtrooper armor as well as their costume, of course. (41 points)
2022
191. [IMAGE] It’s tea time for Bananakin Skywalker and his Sconetroopers. Show us a Stormtrooper tea party. (72 points)
Gish is on an indefinite hiatus now, and I’m looking at another move. But before I pack up everything again, I decided it was time to finally finish my new set of armor, so I could stop carrying around the old set. And now, after months of work, it’s done! I don’t know how many rolls of duct tape it took, but it was easily 10. And I still want to try making a helmet, based on the speeder bike troopers, since theirs is the only helmet that would let human eyes look out. But that’s for later, maybe this summer.
Thank you, Mark 1 Stormtrooper armor. You went above and beyond what I imagined. You are now relieved of duty.
And welcome, Mark 2 Stormtrooper armor! Can’t wait to see what shenanigans we get up to!

sooooo curious what the end of gish means for random acts. it was the main revenue stream and Acts generator for at least the last few years. haven't heard about new programs from them.
It may be the start of divesting the charity, or at least shrinking their outreach. Running a charity is a lot of work and based on their published financials, they've already seen a significant decline in donations from the height of GISH and SPN. It may no longer be worth the work involved to keep the charity going.
According to Random Acts own reports, the contributions have gone down significantly since 2017. The numbers below are from RA's tax forms with the exception of 2021, since the form hasn't yet been published, but the contributions are listed in their annual report.
2017: $1,799,387
2018: $1,198,219
2019: $910,283
2020: $600,293
2021: $287,582
To go from 1.8 million to just 290K in five years is a significant loss, particularly for the work involved in keeping it going.

The Love Boat Sails Again
Yes, that is Lillian Gish We have multiple reasons for today’s addendum to our previous 2018 post on The Love Boat. One is that, once again, it is Lauren Tewes’ birthday. She gets the honors because she alone among the other principals on the show is exclusively associated with her Love Boat role. Gavin MacLeod, Bernie Kopel, Fred Grandy, and Ted Lange had all been on other shows previously. So…

The X-Files is an American science fiction drama television series created by Chris Carter. The original television series aired from September 1993 to May 2002 on Fox. During its original run, the program spanned nine seasons, with 202 episodes. A short tenth season consisting of six episodes ran from January to February 2016. Following the ratings success of this revival, The X-Files returned for an eleventh season of ten episodes, which ran from January to March 2018. In addition to the television series, two feature films have been released: The 1998 film The X-Files and the stand-alone film The X-Files: I Want to Believe, released in 2008, six years after the original television run had ended.
The series revolves around Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), who investigate the eponymous "X-Files": marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. Mulder is a skilled criminal profiler, an ardent supernaturalist, and a conspiracy theorist who believes in the existence of the paranormal, whereas Scully is a medical doctor and a skeptic who has been assigned to scientifically analyze Mulder's discoveries. Early in the series, both agents become pawns in a larger conflict and come to trust only each other and a few select people. The agents also discover an agenda of the government to keep secret the existence of extraterrestrial life. Mulder and Scully's shared adventures lead them to develop a close platonic bond, which by series' end develops into a romantic relationship. Roughly one third of the series' episodes follow a complex mythopoeia-driven story arc about a planned alien invasion, whereas the other two-thirds are "monster of the week" episodes that each focus on a one-off villain, mutant, or monster.
The X-Files was inspired by earlier television series which featured elements of suspense and speculative fiction, including The Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Tales from the Darkside, Twin Peaks, and especially Kolchak: The Night Stalker. When creating the main characters, Carter sought to reverse gender stereotypes by making Mulder a believer and Scully a skeptic. The first seven seasons featured Duchovny and Anderson equally. In the eighth and ninth seasons, Anderson took precedence while Duchovny appeared intermittently. New main characters were introduced: FBI Special Agents John Doggett (Robert Patrick) and Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish). Mulder and Scully's boss, Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), also became a main character. The first five seasons of The X-Files were filmed and produced in Vancouver, British Columbia, before production eventually moved to Los Angeles to accommodate Duchovny. The series later returned to Vancouver to film The X-Files: I Want to Believe as well as the tenth and eleventh seasons.
The X-Files was a hit for the Fox network and received largely positive reviews, although its long-term story arc was criticized near the conclusion. Initially considered a cult series, it turned into a pop culture touchstone that tapped into public mistrust of governments and large institutions and embraced conspiracy theories and spirituality. Both the series itself and lead actors Duchovny and Anderson received multiple awards and nominations, and by its conclusion the show was the longest-running science fiction series in U.S. television history. The series also spawned a franchise that includes Millennium and The Lone Gunmen spin-offs, two theatrical films, and accompanying merchandise.
Starring
Fox Mulder is portrayed by David Duchovny:
Mulder is an Oxford-educated FBI Special Agent, a conspiracy theorist, a talented criminal profiler, and an ardent supernaturalist who believes in the existence of extraterrestrials and a government conspiracy to hide the truth regarding them. He works in the X-Files office, which is concerned with cases marked as unsolvable; most involve supernatural/mysterious circumstances. Mulder considers the X-Files so important that he has made their study his life's main purpose. After his abduction by aliens at the end of season seven, his role in the show diminishes and much of his work is taken on by Special Agent John Doggett. He appears in an episode of The Lone Gunmen and in both the 1998 film The X-Files and the 2008 film The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
Dana Scully is portrayed by Gillian Anderson:
Scully is an FBI Special Agent, a medical doctor, and scientist who is Mulder's partner. In contrast to his credulity, Scully is a skeptic, basing her beliefs on scientific explanations. However, despite her otherwise rigid skepticism, she is a Catholic, and her faith plays an important role in several episodes. As the series progresses, she becomes more open to the possibility of paranormal happenings. In the latter part of the eighth season, her position in the X-Files office is taken by Special Agent Monica Reyes, and Scully moves to Quantico to teach new FBI Special Agents. She appears in both The X-Files feature films.
John Doggett is portrayed by Robert Patrick (seasons 8–9):
Doggett is an FBI Special Agent who makes his first appearance in the season eight episode "Within". Doggett served in the United States Marine Corps from the 1970s to the 1980s. Later, he started to work with the New York City Police Department, reaching the rank of Detective. After his son's death, he joined the FBI's Criminal Investigations Division. In 2000, Alvin Kersh assigned him to the X-files unit as Scully's partner after an unsuccessful task force attempt to find Mulder. He does not appear in The X-Files feature films.
Monica Reyes is portrayed by Annabeth Gish (season 9; also starring season 8; guest seasons 10–11):
Reyes is an FBI Special Agent who was born and raised in Mexico City. She majored in folklore and mythology at Brown University and earned a master's degree in religious studies. Her first FBI assignment was serving on a special task force investigating satanic rituals. She is a longtime friend of Doggett's and becomes his partner after Scully's departure. She did not appear in The X-Files feature films.
Walter Skinner is portrayed by Mitch Pileggi (season 9–11; also starring seasons 3–8; recurring season 2; guest season 1):
Skinner is an FBI Assistant Director who served in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. During this time, he shot and killed a young boy carrying explosives, an incident which scarred him for life. Skinner is originally Mulder and Scully's direct supervisor. He later serves the same position for Doggett and Reyes. Although he is originally portrayed as somewhat antagonistic, he eventually becomes a close friend of Mulder and Scully. He appeared in an episode of The Lone Gunmen and in both The X-Files feature films.
Also starring
Cigarette Smoking Man is portrayed by William B. Davis (seasons 4–7, 9; recurring seasons 1–3, 10–11):
The Cigarette Smoking Man is the series' primary villain. In the ninth-season episodes "William" and "The Truth", it is suggested that he is Mulder's biological father. In the seventh-season episode "Requiem", he is believed to have been killed after being pushed down a flight of stairs by Alex Krycek until the ninth-season finale "The Truth", in which Mulder and Scully travel through remote New Mexico and reach a pueblo where a "wise man" reputedly lives, who is revealed to be Cigarette Smoking Man. He also appears in the 1998 feature film.
Alex Krycek is portrayed by Nicholas Lea (seasons 5–9; recurring seasons 2–3; guest season 4):
Krycek is a Russian-American, the son of Cold War immigrants, and first introduced as an FBI Special Agent assigned as a temporary investigation partner to Fox Mulder. Krycek proceeds to work with Mulder and attempts to gain his trust. However, it later becomes evident that Krycek is actually an undercover agent working for Cigarette Smoking Man. Krycek plays an important part in several events that are harmful to Mulder and Scully.
Jeffrey Spender is portrayed by Chris Owens (season 6; recurring season 5; guest seasons 9, 11):
Spender is a skeptic who is assigned to The X-Files after Fox Mulder's forced leave. He is the son of Cigarette Smoking Man and his ex-wife, multiple abductee Cassandra Spender, as well as possibly being the half-brother of Mulder. Initially thought to have been murdered by Cigarette Smoking Man, Spender returns, horribly disfigured, in the ninth season and helps Scully's son William.
Alvin Kersh is portrayed by James Pickens Jr. (season 9; recurring seasons 6, 8; guest season 11):
As an assistant director (and later deputy director), he temporarily becomes supervisor to Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully when they are assigned away from the X-Files division. During this time, Cigarette Smoking Man often visits him in his office. Kersh assigns Mulder and Scully mostly to menial tasks, such as terrorist details and Federal background checks. Kersh is largely antagonistic to Mulder and Scully but in "The Truth" somewhat redeems himself by helping Mulder escape capital punishment.

Not just one, but TWO requests?! Oh we are popular today.
I've gotten at least one tattoo a year ever year since I turned 20, so starting in 2014. I took all of these pictures just now so the ones that look old it's because they are old lol.
HERE WE GO
IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
Interrobang!? Baby's first tattoo. She started meaningful but not too meaningful. It's my favorite punctuation symbol on the inside of my left wrist. It only took twenty minutes and to this day it's the least amount of money I spent on a tattoo but I think that's because I got lightheaded and they had to give me a lollipop.
Squiggly line I went with my friends to get tattoos before a fan convention in 2015 don't worry about it we're moving on
Lake House Coordinates Matching tattoos I got with my sister for my college graduation showing the coordinates for the lake house we had as kids that we since had to sell. The most visible whenever I worked as a cashier and the one I have had to explain the most.
L'amore e l'arma (Pretend there's an accent on that e I don't feel like looking for special characters.) It means "Love is the weapon" in Italian. Love is the weapon is a NeverShoutNever song lol. This was a last minute tattoo for the last minute tattoo GISH item in 2017. It doesn't really mean a lot to me but it looks sexy when I wear tank tops so like. No regerts.
Tattoo of me getting a tattoo This is everyone's favorite. This was the 2018 GISH tattoo item. Some people tried to find clever ways to get around the wording but I'm like fuck no I'm committing put my fucking face on my leg. It's one of the funniest things I've ever done, it looks fucking sick, and I'm still mad to this day that it's not in the GISH hall of fame like lOOK AT IT IT RULES
Three of Wands This is a twofer! The second tatoo of 2018, it's my Forever Unfinished because the artist doesn't tattoo anymore and it's also the one I got done in someone's living room! Everyone needs at least one tattoo from someone with a tattoo machine that's done in someone's living room. Anyway, it healed like shit and there's supposed to be watercolor in the middle so I'm always seesawing between asking someone else to finish it or just getting the whole thing covered up. It's on the inside of my right forearm so that's like prime real estate. IDK, dude, it will look like this for the forseeable future.
Cat paw print Back to basiccs - and I mean the most basic - this is my cat's paw print on my ribs. Done by the same tattoo artist in the tattoo of me getting a tattoo, which is kinda neat. Yes, it's supposed to look like that: I took my cat's paw, inked it, and put it on paper and she just did an exact recreation. I think it's cute. He's not dead or anything, I just love him.
finger rings Yes, I SOMEHOW got a tattoo before everything shut down in 2020. I had no way of knowing things would shut down - I got this bitch in January - but I was SO RELIEVED when we started quarantine that I'd gotten my 2020 tattoo so early. It was extremely lucky. Anyway, each line represents one of my siblings. On my middle finger because it looks dope and also because they're my siblings so flipping them off is a standard greeting lol.
Destiel mixtape Ayyy lmao. This is the tattoo that's gotten the most internet attention for obvious reasons. Tattooed literally the day before the first Valentine's Day after November 5th. Like we were about to have a Destiel wedding and I walked into a tattoo shop like "Can you do this?" And they were like "I can do this right now." I regret nothing. I am mentally unwell lol. Just you wait, though: this baby's gonna extend out into an entire fandom sleeve. I have more than just SUPERNATURAL brainrot and I'm not afraid to show it.
Arachne: Goddess of Spiders I had one condition for this tattoo: I wanted her to be creepy as shit. I'm so sick of tattoo artists making monsters hot. Like if you wouldn't fuck a monster that looks like this, you're weak and your bloodline will not survive. The Arachne myth was the thing that first got me into Greek Mythology in third grade so I of course had to honor her. Also, I'm gonna get an Athena tattoo on the other side of my arm so like the ~dichotomy. This is the tattoo that all my tattoo people friends say is their favorite. It's techincally interesting and the first one that really fits on my body and also it's hilarious that I'm very sunshine and rainbows but I have this creepy bitch lurking on my arm. Everyone loves the Spitties (spider titties) but it's important to note that when my sleeve is down, all that peaks out is the Spidussy.
Sword and Olive Branch Finally we're all caught up! Yes, these are techinally two tattoos but they are a set and so I'm touring them together. I got so many guessed for the meaning behind this - war and peace, Athena theming, Things Gays Like - and while those are all good and in character for me, the most boring and true reality is that these are the two main elements on my family crest. My mom is Scottish, so a claymore. And my Dad is Italian and our family for generations owned an olive grove. It's literally just narcissim lol. The olive branch goes on my Greek mythology sleeve arm for obvious reasons and the claymore is on my fandom arm because it can double for a lot of swords in a lot of fandoms. I can multitask. They're still healing as you can tell from this pic but they look sick as hell. The olive branch is my first color tattoo so that's exciting :)
More tattoos will come in time and when I get more money but twelve tattoos at 28! I'm pretty pleased with that.
#Tattoos#looketh at my face#tattoo tour#tattoo tour 2023#ask me mo questions#I actually got an anon how cool

A prime example of why you shouldn't throw away your Gish props- this goose beak was originally made as a blue-footed booby beak for an item way back in 2018!
