In conclusion, the West Norwegian Fjords offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with nature, explore ancient landscapes, and experience the rich cultural heritage of Norway's coastal communities. Geiranger are ready for the wedding: - We are very happy with our royal family
Photo 1: Inger Elise Kolstø from Karmøy and Elisabeth Kallevik Nesheim from Vindafjord have driven for ten and a half hours to catch the big event. They admit that they don't know anyone who is as committed. "We are so crazy, or obsessed, that we travel to all royal events. We have been to royal weddings in Sweden, England and Norway," says Kolstø. The two ladies were also present when Märtha Louise married Ari Behn in Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim in 2002. Then they called themselves the three wise women and sent letters that they could attend the wedding. "We wrote that we had various qualifications that could come in handy, such as crocheting and knitting, and we have various board positions. And don't you think we got a seat? Two rows behind the King's adjutants. It was an adventure," says Nesheim.
Photo 2: Anne Kristin Møller and Vigdis Jordal have travelled from Oslo to Geiranger to witness the wedding. "When the news came, I threw myself on the phone and got one of the last hotel rooms at Hotell Utsikten. That is why we are here," says Møller. "Yes, we will celebrate love. We saw the bridal party yesterday. We saw all the guests, and everyone was just so full of love. For love always wins. We think it is a very important message," says Jordal. The two ladies are wearing crowns on their heads to really get into the mood this Saturday. "In the old days, one had to scare away all the otherworldly creatures to ensure the bride would become happy. I brought this crown, which is made of pearls and beautiful things, to create a bit of excitement around the wedding," says Jordal.
Photo 3: Six-year-old Miriam Berg has donned a princess dress for the occasion. She thinks princesses are very exciting and is looking forward to it. "I'm here to see the princess get married."

Ah man, what a crazy road trip. Went out there to see the famous Trollstigen, the famous "Troll's Ladder" from the Nordic tales. You really can't predict weather in Norway, not out this far to the north/west of where people normally go, so you just roll with the punches. Here's what happened when I went out there and why I must go back after THAT trip.
