Jikook Moments that Make Me Melt
I was lacking some positivity on my blog, in my opinion. So, I’m going to created a little series of Jikook moments that make me melt, whenever I find them. I want these to be subtle, deep cuts. Little things that I find really really adorable and swoon worthy.
I’ve been rewatching GCF’s lately because how could I not if JK is bringing the hashtag back and if I’m delulu enough to think that maybe just maybe we will get another GCF soon featuring our main model, forever gorgeous and king of our hearts Park Jimin.
This frame has always been my favorite part of the entire video. The way Jimin is smiling that pretty eye smile clearly at JK and the way he goes in for a high-five is so damn adorable to me. No one else interacts with JK like that while he’s filming. Nothing about this moment gives platonic to me. Jungkook didn’t help either by setting the background music to “I don’t want to hide no more/I don’t want to lie no more/ what I found in you, is so real” whenever Jimin is in frame. But I digress. Something about this sweet little notion for a high five. The fact that JK included it in the Final Cut for the video is so precious to me.

Things JK has said, or written, that made me think he is part of the LGBTQ community.
For those of you bitches who are saying we can't give examples, I'll provide some since I'm armed with a brownie and a muscle relaxer and can handle this bullshit now.
In the very early years, they were all asked what they looked for in girls.
Man said "well balanced muscles"
His admiration and respect for Troye Sivan and how he talks his music up.
His "I'm still me", the notorious quote from the 2019 Festa. That's a well-known quote from a very popular queer film.
Constantly recommending gender neutral songs.
Using dangshin when talking to Jimin. More than once. You can Google what that means.
Using the lyrics "I don't wanna hide no more what I found in you is so real" for his GCF Saipan that played only when Jimin was on the screen.
And yall can say "he said it was a bite so a bite it is"
Either way, man had another man's mouth on his neck. Long and hard enough to leave a dark ass mark.
"But he said he filmed Jimin cuz he was there"
Sure Jan.
What did you want him to say? "Here's me showing how much I love Jimin and we shared a hotel room with a see through shower".
Yall need to learn to read between the lines and realize what they both have been putting out there for years.

I have watched this a million times and its just the warmth it holds is unexplainable!! and watching it with the lyrics of the song everytime the video cuts to jimin....like my heart just skenenrjdj, and jiminie smiling at kookie everytime instead of the camera, like kookie is the reason for jiminies smile...its just happiness. Yeah, so I'm just gonna leave this here for you🤍🥹

Revisiting JK's Insta stories
I don't think we talk enough about how he responded this to the question "How should I confess my feelings to my crush?" when he still had Instagram.
Tumblr media
"Hey! Eat with me"
Tumblr media
Grab my hand, and got to the amusement park with me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of GCF in Tokyo takes place in one day. He basically took Jimin to Tokyo for his birthday as well. And Jimin didn't know that he would make the video.
This is not confirmed, but it's pretty clear he took the idea of the composition of the video from this video from the channel videoclass, the thing is not that he took inspiration from another video, but the title which can be translated to “5 Tips in making a Special Video for your Girlfriend/Boyfriend” (I know a little bit of Korean and it's not a mistranslation the bg/gf part). The channel's owner even made a video analysis of it.
Tumblr media
Idk man, I just think these are too many coincidences (?). The fact that he says he always looks for lyric translations. I get really stuck on the line "When you're screaming, but they only hear you whisper, I'll be loud for you". And isn't GCF Tokyo one of the loudest he's ever been?
You can also look at how he shot GCF Saipan, how Jimin, and only Jimin, appears when the lyrics say "I don't wanna lie no more, I don't wanna hide no more, what I found in you is so real". I don't really like to make the other GCFs so much about Jimin, but it makes you think.
For JK, the ideal way of confessing to your crush is going to eat with them, hold hands and then go to an amusement park, at least it was at the time he was responding us on Insta. It makes you reflect, doesn't it?
Ps: how he signed the actor part with "JM". And people really wanna gaslight me into thinking he didn't know what the J above the M would look like on his hand 🤨. Yes J for Jungkook, doesn't mean the J+M isn't Jimin, both can be true.

So, I kinda think that Jikook are a thing. Just because there's sth different compared to other relationships in bangtan*.
But to kinda play devil's advocate: I think it's easy to read into stuff and skew the perspective. We as shippers might think that just cause Jikook sometimes do sth they don't with other members that it's a sign of sth romantic, but it could also just be that their friendship grew different from the others.
Them having insane chemistry and different ways of showing their platonic love doesn't make it romantic. We have no clue what actual romantic gestures Jimin or Jungkook would show towards their partners b/c their insane status forbids it. I'm not trying to pretend that there's nothing there like I'm some 20th century history dude pretending queer ppl don't exist, but that it's just not cut n dry.
I want Jikook to be real. But I also want men to have friendships like Jikook have
----
* Rosebowl, GCF Tokyo and Saipan, MAMA 2018, wtf that naked JK live was, Letter
Aaah. Yes. Good old devil's advocate. I can do that too! Like I specifically remember that one time I was checking out my friend. Just looking at them up and down, for a while too. Lord knows what I was thinking, but I simply couldn't help myself, they looked so good. U know?
I find myself doing this. With my friend. That i mentioned earlier. I keep just admiring him for no reason, sometimes I even subconsciously bite my lip and shit
Tumblr media
Tbf, this friend, is really hot, so I can't help myself. But we are just friends so it doesn't mean anything. Take for example when I wrote that I was handcrafted for my friend. I left that on display in a museum for all to see. Idk why I did that. But its normal, right? To let everyone know that you are handcrafted for your friend?
Tumblr media
Anon you're right. Playing devil's advocate is kind of an eye opener. I mean, I haven't even told you about the lack of personal space between my friend and I. I don't wanna share pictures of us, of my friend and I, so I'm using Jikook as examples. Just trying to paint a better picture for you here. So the lack of personal space i mentioned;
Like there was that one time we were sharing lice
Tumblr media
And that other time it was just comfortable. That's all.
Tumblr media
Usually though, the closer the better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I will tell you something; we have always been like this.
Tumblr media
You don't even need a magnifying glass to see this. If u were around us, you would see it too.
Tumblr media
But I mostly think its a bit weird how our other friends react to us.
Tumblr media
But I don't really care.
.
.
I want Jikook to be real. But I also want men to have friendships like Jikook have. *Proceeds to list none platonic Jikook moments*
This one especially showcases the Jikook friendship so so well.
Tumblr media
You know that moment when you take your friend's sweaty ear into your mouth to comfort them when they're emotional? C'mon, we all know this moment, we've all done it with our friends, right? Anyway, there is something about that, that just screams "friends!"
I want Jikook to be real. But I also want men to have friendships like Jikook have.
Those men anon, those friendships, they do exist........ And they are fucking each other.

Hi, I really like your blog and found no better place to rant.
Before I start, I hope to clarify a couple of points to set a clear context:
1. I'm a baby army.
2. I'm an Asian.
3. I am straight. (Don't get me wrong, my personal belief is that love has no gender)
I ran into Taekook videos when I first discovered BTS with zero to no idea about shipping culture. The fact that TKrs claimed their relationship to be real seemed ridiculous to me. I genuinely thought that people were forcing their weird fantasies on two men who have a good friendship. So I moved away from TKr or 'shipper' content and started to watch BTS as a whole with absolutely no idea that parallel ships had a fandom. That's when I came across GCF in Saipan. That freaking video!!!! There was no way I could turn away from looking at JK and JM differently. The song, the editing and just how ethereal JM looked or smiled irrespective of his weird antics and spontaneous shots seemed pure, full of trust and openness. That's how I discovered Jikook and it has been 2 months now.
This also brought me to another discovery, Heterosexism. I work at a corporate company and had a casual discussion with my colleagues regarding an awareness training about eliminating bias and I was surprised at the reaction for a topic surrounding homosexuals. The media here romanticises that homosexuality is accepted, with a few articles on recent homosexual relationships and weddings. But on a deeper scale, the citizens are still homophobic. I was told off for showing support to the pride community, to the extent where I was asked if I was a homosexual.
Finally getting to my question, I have noticed that a lot of jikook supporters are homosexuals. What about people who are not part of the pride community? Is there a good number of people who are straight but not homophobic? Is there a safe space for us to show our support without being judged for it?
True Allyship is appreciated at most pride events and with most queer people. If you are talking about within the Jikook spaces, I do think a large portion of Jikookers are queer is some sense, but a lot of them are straight too. And as long as you aren't talking over queer voices or making a queer safe space no longer safe, I think it's fine for you to be involved.
I'm pretty sure I've got a fairly large following of straight people here anyway too. But let's do another poll and see. These are always lower engagement than the amount of followers I actually have, but it gets a sample size at least. Lol polls are totally anonymous too, in case anyone was worried.
Last time I did this, there was confusion for my aro/ace friends. Y'all are the A in LGBTQIA+. You count as queer, my loves 💜
If you aren't an ally, you don't get an option and you can unfollow 😂
I've got my issues with fake support and Allyship from shippers, but that's a separate discussion and I do think that there are a lot of people who are true and good allies here.

Hi Rosie! I rewatched GCF Tokyo just bec the travel show teasers and articles have mentioned it, and no matter how many times I watch it, it leaves a smile on my face at the end. Especially now, after we have a bit more background about the trip in the BTS Beyond the Story.
When you understand the sequence of events leading to that: Jimin's birthday, Jungkook's Twitter posts during said birthday, his "It's not over yet.", proceeding to plan the Tokyo trip and paying for everything, including the rights to the Troye sivan song as background music, the amount of hours spent on editing the video.
And then, YT just autoplayed all the succeeding GCFs after. No matter how much people deny it, Jimin literally stands out from those GCFs, especially Saipan and Osaka. It leaves you feeling whimsical and nostalgic; somehow, you can feel the emotions bleeding through. And that's what Jungkook said in an interview, right? That unlike pictures that can have different interpretations, videos are much more straightforward; you know what the person behind the camera wants you to get.
PS
To everyone who's excited for the travel show, who's been gushing about the minute-long teasers and trailers, you can control your experience; don't let jikookphobics/haters/tkkrs ruin it for you! Don't microanalyze like these folks do.
They're already changing their narratives, bec Tae might be coming in as a guest in the Jeju eps, but so what? Focus on the members, not these people. I know it's hard, especially now that a lot more have been side-eyeing Tae, but yeah, just let it be. Like for every negativity you see from them, just spread Jikook clips, their giggles, their fun adventures! They're chaotic and hilarious!
I feel so privileged that we get to see a glimpse of their dynamics like this!
And let's not forget that they made the trip because they were going through a difficult time and used it as a way to escape from all that. Although the agency and the other members had reservations about it, they still decided to travel to Tokyo. And yes! Listen to Anon! Ignore the haters. Their opinions DO NOT MATTER because we are seeing a different reality and that is what matters.
Ignore, block, and enjoy the upcoming JikookFest.

What is your opinion on GCF Tokyo and Saipian. I could definitely see how GCF Tokyo was just a friendly thing but when you add in GCF Saipan with Jk adding footage of Jimin to those lyrics “i don’t wanna lie no more, i don’t wanna fight no more what i found in you is so real” twice and only putting footage of Jimin there it makes me wonder a little bit. I am only asking this and paying attention to those lyrics because i know that taekookers also pay attention to lyrics like “Oh no ,oh yes” and “To find you”. So do you think all of that was purely a coincidence?
Hi anon!
I think it’s very hard to place any value on the songs they post and the lyrics they use. We just don’t know what goes on in their heads in any given time. I think most we can do is make a generalization of what kind of lyrics and songs they like, and keep that in mind for broader interpretations. But to pin certain lyrics to certain situations is taking too much liberty in my opinion. It’s possible that some songs or lyrics have a special meaning to them, but we will never be able to find out which lyrics those are.
I think that goes for the GCF’s as well. I don’t think Jm and Jk are together romantically, and those lyrical placements will never be reason for me to question that. I think Jk just liked the songs and felt they suited the general vibe he wanted those GCF’s to have. When I listen to music I don’t always place importance to lyrics (for a lot of BTS songs for instance I loved them before even knowing what the lyrics meant). The sound of a song and the vibe that goes with it can be just as important to a person than the song itself. Bow many of us don’t fall in love with songs about heartbreak while we are in reality very happy with our partners?
To find you is a bit different to me, because the moment was Tae tying that song directly to Jk. He didn’t play the actual song, but he played Jk’s version. The lyrics do for what I feel about their situation as well, so in that case I do take it as something more, while at the same time realizing that I don’t actually know. I think for me it’s mostly a combination of Jk being gone, Tae seemingly missing him, and than the lyrics on top of that.
The difference between the GCF’s and the song mentions is that the GCF’s were official content (approved beforehand) while the song mentioned were not.
There’s many in fandom that take stuff like lyrics and songs as signs of them wanting to signal us, in general that is not something I feel strongly about.

And its more heart tugging when you realize the clip of JK laughing at Jimin on the beach when he was editing GCF Saipan was nearly 3 minutes long. Not the main model of GCF my foot. Jimin nearly got another video all to himself. And even more devastating when you realize the way the video starts off is with Jimin, which is different from the final product And shows how precise JK was when adding "I don't wanna lie no more, I don't wanna hide no more, what I found in you is so real" on Jimin's parts ONLY in the final video. And if I cry.
Who said Jimin isn't the main model of GCF

So I watched the Minimoni video just now, and 2 things:
1. I am sad that Namjoon prefers MUSE over Face. Mostly because imo Face is more interesting in concept, execution and lyrics. Oh well. Personal preference.
2. The concept for MUSE is, if I understood correctly, that all the emotions of happiness and excitement JM feels are somewhat temporary. Like a crush that just goes nowhere, it's built more on how your brain romanticises a person and less on who that person actually is. We get crushes on people based on a few minutes of interactions, but at some point that feeling fades. And to Jimin, that's kinda what his entire life feels like. As a GenZ (98), I relate soooooo hard to that. There's these moments of elation, when you do something fun, but soon enough real life kinda drags you down again. The future isn't that exciting to look at and hope kinda flies out the window. To be fair, for most of my generation that's based a lot in feelings of economic fear - sth Jimin doesn't experience- but I think he experiences a lot of other emotions that equate to sth similar. Especially since SK, like many other countries tbh, kind of seems to not take enough steps forward socially to combat all the issues created by the ruling classes of the last decades (aka Baepsae). Anyway.
These feelings of good moments and happiness being fleeting doesn't mean the moments or emotions in that moment were faked. But since it comes and goes, and the lows tend to get very low (also mental illness is a big part that doesn't get mentioned directly in MMM though Jimin has touched on it before), you tend to catastrophise a lot. It's like imposter syndrome for feelings of happiness.
As a separate closing thought: a lot has been made about Who as a song and how you'd fit it into Jikook. Or how it disproves Jimin being in a happy potentially queer relationship, but imo the MMM really highlights how the whole love and crush narrative of MUSE is just a big metaphor. It's not even about JK specifically, but I think it would do Jimin a huge disservice to assume that this album he has worked on for over a year just contains very surface level songs. Yeah, they are about love and yearning, but just like "Fake Love" or any song on the Love Yourself trilogy are about loving someone else on the surface, it essentially is an album about self-reflection. It can be both. Similarly, I find it insulting of people that they assume the "she" was forced on Jimin because he isn't in the credits of the song. As if they wouldn't have re-written the whole thing if it didn't fit Jimin's vision. Don't infantilize him just because it doesn't fit with our (yes, I'm a shipper) view of who Jimin loves.
"She" is a concept, a dream and not real. In that sense, "she" reminds me of Marlena - a female stand-in for inspiration and music as used by the Italian band Maneskin. But that's a reach. And I don't want to discount the literal layer of the song either. I personally don't believe Who is this big red stamp of "hey, I'm here, I'm not queer and looking for a woman to love, please call hit me up" others see it as. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't actually reflect how much Jimin is yearning for someone to love him how he wants to be loved.
I think Jikook is real because of how they behave around each other, and from how they talk about each other. Even the latest mention in MMM, how they (and Yoongi, poor 3rd wheel) spend hours talking about music and singing screams "and they spend the rest of their lives living together, historians call them very good friends" to me. But I won't be upset if it turns out, they did have relationships for years with other people. I won't make up theories and stories to invalidate whoever they end up spending the rest of their life with - we're not larries. Even if I find GCF Tokyo and Saipan, Rosebowl, the regular carrying and the 7000 other instances very hard to contextualise in a hetero way.
Sorry for the essay but I was kind of getting sick of all the sides currently out and about, both the antis and shippers need to chill out.
I really enjoyed reading your thoughts so thank you for sharing!
see I think for jimin muse as an album perhaps was more about his journey going through creating it, it was a labour of love and something he made from scratch with a team of people. it was probably a real challenge too and it seems like he went through a lot of growth creating this album. I think it's quite hard to judge the 'real' meaning of songs to jimin and everyone having their opinions is valid but as you said we would all do well chilling out😂for me this time it almost seems like the 'concepts' behind the songs are not as deep as maybe face was but the entire process of creating muse was more meaningful to jimin.
