The Peckman hyperfixation is REAL but like. The Ghostbusters RP tag is pretty dominated by the OC ask blog community (not a bad thing at all, I've got some GB ask blogs of my own lol) so this blog's style of RP is hard to come across in that fandom

do you think any of the other recruits figured out or asked Wally if he's related to peck (despite looking like an obvious carbon copy that split via mitosis)? Also what made him join the ghostbusters given his dad's personal feud with them and purgatory situationship?

No one asks directly (at least of the newer gen GBs) because they figure his appearance is the world's most horrific coincidence. He does give Winston & Ray a real scare when they first meet, though because.., look at him

Winston does find out through his own means and treats Wally with a little suspicion at first.. since the man was in-part raised by Walter 'I've been waiting 40 years to shut you down' Peck.

Wally joined the GBs, at least part-time, because he resents being his dad's protege. He loves Walt, but God does he not appreciate looking, sounding, and being named the same as him. It's petty (though what Peck wouldn't be), but his reason for joining was to do something as unlike his dad as possible. I.E., bustin. Peck does not approve but will turn a blind eye to any property damage caused by a haunt his son attended.

If this was a universe that included the Ghostbusters, and they were franchising, Gotham would’ve had them there, interfearing with League of Shadows businesss. But it’s a bit of a surprise that Bruce decides to call them.

GB1: Ghostbusters: Gotham Division. We’re Ready to Believe You! How can we help?

Bruce: Uh, yes. I’m in need of help dealing with something called liminals.

From there, the Ghostbusters arrive and give a physical examination to the students and Bruce’s kids as well as Bruce, Alfred, and Mrs. Clark. From there, one of them pulls out a lab coat and starts teaching both the adults and kids about ecto-biology and the concept of liminals. This surprises everyone, as they didn’t think that the GBs were scientists.

GB1: Now, anyone know about the dimensions where the ghosts come from?

Danny: *raises hand* The Infinite Realms

GB1: That is but one of them in all honesty. The Infinite Realms is a nexus reality, were all possible worlds can exist, as well as doorways to other worlds.

GB2: *Checking over Jason* Jack, this young man’s ectoplasm is tainted.

GB1: Really Dr. Bones?

Jason: Well, I was reborn in the Lazarus Pit

*All four Ghostbusters look in shock.*

GB1: Were you involved with the League of Shadows?

Bruce: Why, what do you know?

This could lead to the Ghostbusters helping in legal affairs dealing with GIW, since they have 1) Walter Peck of P-COC (Paranormal Contracts Oversight Committee), and 2) they end up getting the Batman and later the Justice League involved with the Anti-Ecto laws.

Other ideas involved include:

Jason having his ectoplasm purified using various methods, which calms his core.

The discovery of their scientific equipment, which is meant to capture and contain the ghosts, not destroy them (as it would break the laws of thermodynamics, as they claim)

A brief moment of battle between the GIW and the Ghostbusters.

Jason doesn’t want to bring Lancer anywhere near his nightlife and Lancer is perfectly fine with that. Lancer manages to convince Jason into some martial arts and combat training to defend his students if need be. It’s pretty concerning how often he has to use said training.

Hello I’ve seen you have a strong dislike for frozen empire is there anything you do like about that movie? So yes what

Frozen Empire? What's that, a new Dairy Queen flavor?

Alright, I'm joking. There are a few things from the movie I did like:

1- Slimer! This is the best he's ever looked in live action. The puppet design and use of CGI was spot on. I also appreciate that they kept him morally neutral. Yes, he's a nuisance, but he still helped in the final battle when he ate that pesky possessor! To me, that's the perfect Slimer. Only downside is we didn't get to see him interact with Phoebe, which I would have preferred over Trevor.

2- Walter Peck as the new Mayor of New York is genius. He's as annoying and uptight as ever, but now he's in a higher position of power and acts as a bigger obstacle for the Ghostbusters. Similar to Slimer, I like that he's kept morally grey. As mean as he is, Walter does have a point about the Ghostbusters being dangerous. I like how Winston was still able to pressure him into supporting them at the end though. It's not the same as Walter's portrayal in the IDW comics but it works as it's own thing.

3- The scene where Winston and Ray have their argument is one that I gained more appreciation for when one of my friends talked about it. It was a great exploration of their relationship and how they both responded differently to change and getting older.

4- There's a few sweet moments between the kids. If I remember right, Lucky briefly gives Podcast a little side hug when they go to visit the lab for the first time, and Podcast hugs Phoebe when she returns to the firehouse before the final battle.

5- Phoebe telling jokes at the beginning and coming up with the idea to upgrade her pack with brass at the end were the only times where I felt she behaved in character.

as i said, i would wrigght about this when i finally watched Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. well shit, GUESS WHAT I DID- anyways, 10/10, its now convincced me that Phoebe should be lesbian, that Walter Peck is just a hater, and that we LOVE getting arrested every movie, goddammit. now here is the thing; there is this ghost named Melody, who i thought was played by Jenna Ortega, but no, it was Emily something. but im sorry, the TENSION between Phoebe and Melody was crazy, like, please kiss man, yall woulld be great. and, they could, BECAUSE in Afterrlife we see Cali hugging Egon who was a damn ghost. so, physical contact between humans and ghosts are real, so these two missed the chance to become the best ship ive ever seen. anyways, i love the refrences to some movies and scenes yyou can see sometimes, and i lovve the ending holy shit. the colors contratsed with the blue and red, it looked good, Annie Potts is still a ledgend.... and i do believe i saw that Dan and Harold wrote this, so maybe there was gonna be this made in like, 1990s or something, that woulda been kinda ccool, and apparently, Ivan died, so, RIP man, you did good. plus, Phoebe is a sassy ass bitch who ate the whole movie like, girl, you are actually my bestie now. and i LOVE the possesor, how he was wanting to play but then he was told no, but was also told if he behaved he would get a tennis ball, which is sweet. although i wish we got to see Egon as a ghost again, i dunno, dident seem like a Gb movie without him :/. i should shut up, im spoiling it all, BUT I HAVETA get it all out, but ill shut up now. Byeeee~!

rewatched all of the Ghostbusters, so its time for a ramble about it :D

first of all, they ate makeing that movie holy shit, and we get a new one soon as well. so me being me, iim gonna find refrences to the old movies and afterlife. first of all, i feel like Winston is underated, give him more love. Peter is mid, but sometimes makes me a bit pissed for being a big flirt to pretty much every woman that we've seen, but over all hes a good character. Ray is actually a cchild, omg i love this man he is goofy and smart so hes one of my favorites, and finally theres Egon, and honestly, i dont think anyone ever talks about iit, but he is pretty much everyones favorite, and i feel like as we go on, he seems to have the most character development. in the first movie, he dosent show much emotion, but in the second one we see him smiling and sometimes makeing a joke. and then later on we relize he had a damn family, and now he acts like a father, protecting his children and the world from gozer, even when dead. and i feel like i be paying a bit to much attention, but Egon sorta limps when running, which makes since cause his actor Harold Ramis (RIP D:) was 39 when filming. anywho, i feel like these might be my favorie movie series that have gone on since 1984 to 2024, and its always well done. not the 2016 one. we dont talk about that one. this will happen again after i watch Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

On top of that, they would probably be buried under paperwork for not following procedure that the GBs usually follow… to a certain degree.

If you haven’t read the comics or play the game, it takes place 2 years after GB 2 and has all of the original guys there. It’s great. Even has the guy who played Walter Peck appear in the series.

Recommend both the game and the comics if you can get them.

The Drs Fenton face a lawsuit about theft of intellectual property and other related things.

The charge? They copied ideas from Dr. Egon Spengler’s work he released in the 80ies. Sometimes they even copied entire paragraphs, before twisting his ideas to fit their own hypothesis without providing own proof how they reached their conclusions.
