and they start to talk about The Case and all the ways Carlos is stuck in the past. Gabriel says 'why are you putting your life on hold like this?' and Carlos says, 'for you, papa.'

but then dream!Gabriel makes Carlos realize that his life needs to go on, whether Gabriel's murderer is found or not. and that sometimes you don't get the answers that you want. sometimes bad shit happens and you never get a good resolution. sometimes you have to move forward in life despite it all.
