Riley was the picture-perfect Southern belle. With a preacher for a father and a teacher for a mother, she always kept up her manners in public. But behind closed doors, she had a talent for getting into trouble—and her relationship with Terry Richmond was no different.
He was her very own Black G.I. Joe—six feet, four inches of solid muscle. Intense, stormy green eyes and the face of an Adonis. A flawless specimen—and completely hers.
That morning, she woke up with a familiar ache in her belly. Terry had been gone the entire week to celebrate his cousin Mike’s homecoming, while she stayed behind due to a special work project. It had been seven long days without so much as a touch from the man who couldn’t keep his hands off her whenever they were alone.
He'd returned late Saturday, slipping into bed quietly to avoid waking her.
It was Sunday morning, and as the preacher’s daughter, she knew she had to be at her best. But sleep had eluded her. The rollers she wore to sleep were uncomfortable, and she never slept well when Terry wasn’t there. She woke up feeling restless, only to turn over and see him.
He was bare-chested, the morning light making his skin glisten. The bedsheets were pushed down to his hips, and the outline of his body was impossible to ignore. Her mouth watered.
When her gaze finally made its way up to his face, his eyes were already on her. Terry was always up by six, but some days, he'd stay in bed a little longer just for her.
She kissed her way up his body, starting from his neck and working toward his lips, straddling him.
“Mornin’, baby,” he said, his voice deep and gravelly, making her heart flutter. His green eyes framed by naturally long lashes—lashes she spent a hundred dollars a month trying to replicate—fixed on hers. He pulled her down for a tight hug, his lips finding her jaw. She sighed, feeling his strength encase her.
“What time did you get in? I missed you,” she admitted, feeling a little foolish. She was a grown woman, had spent most of her adult life without him, but sometimes it felt like she couldn’t breathe without him there.
His facial hair, grown in during the week they’d been apart, tickled her skin as he nuzzled into her neck—a silent way of saying, "I missed you too."
They lay there for a few moments before he stirred. One arm wrapped around her back, the other reaching for his phone on the nightstand. “We gotta get up. It’s almost eight.”
She groaned. “It’s too early.”
She was up before sunrise on workdays, but weekends were different.
“Come on, we have to.” He patted her back gently.
“Excuse you
” She sat up, crossing her arms with her legs still draped over his hips. “You just got back and you're bossing me around. You haven’t even kissed me yet.”
He wouldn’t admit it, but he loved how spoiled she could act sometimes. She knew he’d give her the world if she asked, and it boosted his ego to know she trusted him that much—knew, deep down, he would always protect and care for her.
“Oh, you think you’re running the show now?” he teased, raising a brow. She bit her lip, debating how to respond. Terry Richmond wasn’t the type of man to play petty games with, but she liked to do it every now and then, just to keep things interesting.
“Duh. I thought you knew.”
He let out a deep laugh from his core, right in her face. She huffed and tried to move away from his lap, but in an instant, he had rolled them over, pinning her beneath him as they both giggled.
“Who gave you command?”
His hand wrapped gently around her neck, and the playful moment turned serious. He positioned himself between her legs, morning wood pressed against her thigh, and her face flushed.
“You did.” She swallowed hard, remembering the last time they were in this position—his hand firm around her throat as he took control. The unspoken command hung in the air: tell me what I want to hear, and I’ll give you what you want.
He raised an eyebrow, “Me?”
“Yeah,” She smirked, “You disappeared so I had to improvise.” Her voice softened, teasing but with a warmth that hinted she missed him. “Maybe don’t leave me hanging next time, huh?”
He shook his head with a chuckle, then his lips crushed against hers, the kiss demanding, until her thoughts were consumed by him and only him. Her back arched, hips shifting as she sought him out. His hand found her neck again as he slowly pulled away, as if it pained him to stop.
“We gotta get up. I let you miss another Sunday, and your dad will never let me live it down.”
His sudden shift in tone made her scowl, especially as he tapped her legs to free himself from her grip. “Why are you talking about my father right now?”
“Get up.” His tone tolerated no dissent, and she reluctantly allowed him to pull her to her feet.
She followed him into the guest bathroom, where he'd gone to shower in peace. She dragged her soapy hands down his back, teasing him, offering to help him dry off but using it as an excuse to grope him instead. He wouldn’t give in. She spent the rest of the morning testing his resolve, brushing against him as he scrambled their eggs, and bending at the waist to give him a peek under her slip after "accidentally" dropping the house keys.
By the time they reached the church parking lot, a frown lingered on her made-up face, fading only as they approached the church doors, where she transformed into the picture-perfect preacher’s daughter.
Smiling, saying all the right things, all the while thinking about Terry. It wasn’t right, thinking these things in church, but she couldn’t help it. She prayed for forgiveness but couldn’t stop herself from reminiscing about him—the way he drove her to the brink of madness, how good he always made her feel.
The singing of hymns and the preaching faded into the background as she focused on the analog clock hanging above the pulpit. Church seemed to drag on even longer than usual, as if the universe were conspiring with Terry to tease her to death. He sat there, as tempting as the devil, his button-up shirt clinging to his muscular arms and thick thighs defined even in slacks.
By the time they reached the car, she felt like she was on the verge of catching fire. She’d waved hurriedly at her parents before dragging Terry out the church doors, complaining about the traffic. She was sure her mom would call her and fuss about it later, but she’d deal with that when the time came. He didn’t say a word until they were driving down the main road, his eyes glancing over at her.
“You’ve been acting wild all day. You that desperate for my dick?”
“What?”
“You heard me. You want it that bad?” He repeated himself, a sly smirk playing on his lips. Her mouth hung open as she processed his words. In the bedroom, he was her Daddy—dominant, demanding, intense. A bit of a bedroom bully, but never harsh. She was his princess, and he treated her like one. Terry didn’t usually talk to her like this, but she couldn’t deny the heat that pooled between her legs at his words.
She wished she had something clever to say, but the truth was that her desire for him ran deeper than he could ever realize. “I can’t help it,” she admitted, leaning over the center console to caress his leg. She gave him those Bambi eyes and spoke softly. “I need you, baby.”
“I get it. I've been counting down the days too,” He promised. His voice was steady and calm—too calm—while she felt like she was on the edge. He had unbuttoned the top of his shirt when they got in the car, and all she could think about was undoing the rest. The way the water had cascaded down his chest this morning was sinful. Her thighs clenched together subconsciously.
“I need more than just talk right now,” She grumbled, remembering how he had rejected her earlier that morning. She’d wanted him so badly that she dropped to her knees, promising to make it worth his while. But he remained composed, pulling her back up for a soft kiss on the corners of her mouth. “Later,” he had promised.
All week, she had struggled to concentrate at work, her thoughts consumed with him. And now that he was back, he didn’t seem in any hurry to change that. He should have woken her up last night, church be damned— The same way he did any other night he wanted to be inside her. Her hand inched up to his thigh and squeezed.
When her fingertips grazed his dick, he gently grabbed her hand and lifted it from his lap. “Relax,” he warned, his voice adopting that stern tone she usually loved. But now, it just grated on her nerves. Terry Richmond—who was always so eager—was telling her to relax about sex. How many mornings had he insisted on having her before he left for work? How many days had he stalked her around the house, grabbing her any way he wanted? How many nights had he promised to “do all the work” if she just let him inside?
She kissed her teeth and crossed her arms over her chest, glaring out at the cars ahead. He was full of it.
“What’s this? You got an attitude now?”
She snapped before she could stop herself. “What do you think, Terry?” Aggravation burned in her chest, and his eyes widened at her tone. Apparently, his week away had been too long—she had lost her damn mind.
“Any other time, you can’t get enough of me, and now you’re acting like I’ve got the cooties. What’s going on with you?”
“What are you trying to get at?” he asked, sounding annoyed, and it was clear on his face. She stared back at him as his gaze flicked between her and the road, as if her eyes could uncover whether he had been faithful. She trusted Terry, but she already knew Mike’s wild ass had plenty of strippers and trouble around.
What else was she supposed to think? Terry was only a man after all.
“For real?” he replied, meeting her suspicious gaze. “You think I’d do you like that?”
Her stomach flipped. In her heart, she felt one thing, but her head was a different monster altogether. She had a tendency to overthink and jump to conclusions. Terry usually made her feel so secure that it wasn’t an issue. “So, just because I’m not moving fast enough for you, I must be cheating, huh?” He looked at her like a wounded lion.
“I don’t know, Terry,” she shifted her gaze away from him, knowing she had overreacted. “I’m just frustrated, okay?” The silence that fell between them felt heavy. She knew she had made a mistake. “I’m sorry,” she added, her voice softening. “I know you’re not like that; I was just... I don’t know.”
Just like Muni Long, she wished for a Time Machine.
The sting of her accusation settled in his gut. He couldn’t begin to understand why she would doubt him after everything they’d been through.
Terry remained silent for the rest of the ride. Not even when he parked the car, opened her passenger door, and unlocked the house did he say a word. He let her in first, just like always, but the usual kisses to her neck were absent. Instead, he slipped off to the guest room to change while she undressed in their shared bedroom, feeling like a brat. The pretty polka dot dress and brand new stockings he should have been removing only added to her sadness.
She removed her makeup in a somber mood, then finally made her way to the living room when she could no longer put it off. Terry had changed into a T-shirt and shorts, sprawled across the couch while fiddling with the remote, flipping through channels she knew he wasn’t interested in at all.
She settled onto his lap, her thighs gripping him to keep him close. He avoided her gaze until she cupped his face in her hands, gently forcing him to meet her eyes. There was a storm brewing, one that she had caused. “Don’t be like that,” she pleaded.
She rested her head against his broad chest, cuddling into the warmth beneath her. With her chin snuggled comfortably, she gazed up into his eyes. “I’m sorry. I was wrong– so wrong. I know who you are and that you wouldn’t hurt me. Please forgive me. I was trippin’.”
He took a deep breath and ran a hand across his low fade, trying to process his emotions. “You really scared me with that.” He grabbed her hand and held it tightly. “I need you to understand that it’s not easy for me to shake off what you said. I love you, but I need to know you trust me.”
“I do. I promise I do, baby. I just lost my head for a minute there. You mean everything to me.”
“Okay,” he conceded after a minute, “Just keep your head in the game, alright? Stick with me. We’re good.” Terry’s habit of framing their relationship in sports terms never failed to make her smile.
"You got it, coach," she teased, then added playfully, "Oh wait—Sir, yes sir," as she offered a mock salute.
“You always know just how to push my buttons, don’t you?”, he asked. “That’s alright, though, because you’re still under my command, recruit.” He delivered a series of sharp smacks to her behind without warning. Riley gasped as she felt the sting of each slap.
"Terry, stop," she protested, trying to push him away, but he was unyielding.
“Nah, baby,” he whispered against her lips, staring her directly in the eyes, “You got a little too bold and need a reminder of who’s running things.”
Her stomach flipped as she realized what was happening. She had been getting more mouthy as the day went on, testing how far she could go. Now it was time for Terry to put her in her place, and while that was always fun, she knew he wouldn’t go easy on her.
As if reading her mind, Terry pulled back slightly, his gaze fierce and focused. "You know I love you, baby," he uttered softly. “But sometimes, a firm hand is needed to keep us in line.”
She nodded, a whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her. A spanking hadn’t been a part of her agenda for the day. All she wanted was to come home, have him in their bed,  and make up for lost time, then pretend to watch TV for a little before she rode him to oblivion. But she had ruined that by being impatient. She knew that Terry was right – she had crossed a line today, and this was exactly what she needed.
Taking a deep breath, she eased into him, allowing him to maneuver her over his lap as he repositioned them on the couch. The muted sounds of the TV faded into the background as they got comfortable, her shorts rustling quietly as he pulled them down to her ankles.
“I get that you’re used to having things your way, but that ain't how it works with me,” Terry advised, palming her ass cheeks in each hand. He took his time jiggling the fat there before his hand came down on one side and then the other. Terry was heavy handed, making sure she felt him deep in her soul. She hissed, already reaching back to cover her bottom.
"Gimme your hands," he ordered, locking both of them in one of his own.
Terry started spanking her in earnest, and Riley felt every bit of it— the sharp sting as his hand met her skin, the heat radiating across her backside, and the firm pressure of his arms keeping her steady.
“I’m so sorry,” She whined, squirming in his lap. “I didn't mean it!” He took a breath, grabbed her chin, and locked his gaze on her to make sure she heard him loud and clear. “I know you didn’t plan for this, but you still deserve this punishment. You gotta do better, ma.”
He went back to smacking her ass all wild, hitting it from every possible angle. “Fuck!” She cursed, getting lost in the pain and the pleasure. If the folks at church knew she had a mouth like this, she'd be too embarrassed to show her face again. With each smack, her thoughts become increasingly scrambled, swirling in a delicious haze. It didn’t help that Terry was talking her through it the entire time.
“Remember I’m doing this because I love you.”
“You need to find some middle ground before you take things to the next level. You understand me?”
“Stay exactly like that, don’t move.”
“I know it hurts. It’s supposed to.”
“Here, grab this pillow.”
She moaned and groaned her protests but Terry was too strong and she had earned this ass whooping. She knew there was nothing left to do but surrender. Terry had her and she could let go of all her worries and concerns. She just needed to ride it out.
As the spanking continued, Riley’s breathing grew more ragged until she was breathless. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. She apologized fervently each time his hand came down on her ass, sobbing when he gave her a small reprieve, rubbing her lower back gently. “You’re okay. We’re almost done. Are you really as sorry as you’re claiming?”
“Yes, Daddy,” She whimpered, already imagining how sore she’d be the next day, hobbling into her good government job with a bruised backside. She had bit off way more than she could chew and now needed his mercy.
“Repeat after me,” Terry commanded, his tone leaving room for argument. “Say ‘I’ll be a good girl and listen.’” She immediately complied, her voice shaky but sincere as she echoed his words, fully embracing the promise behind them. “I understand that the next time I do it, Daddy is going to spank my disobedient ass all over again..” She repeated his words like a well-trained parrot, and at the moment, it was all she could manage.
She felt lightheaded by the time Terry finished spanking her, and she couldn’t recall the last thing he’d said. She had hit her breaking point.
She laid there for several minutes, completely spaced out, and focused only on catching her breath. Terry massaged her scalp with his fingertips as they both came down from the natural high of their chemistry. Eventually, Terry lifted her up to meet his gaze, being mindful not to agitate her already bruised bottom.
“You good?”
Her head was still reeling. She wanted to shrink into a little ball, but she also wanted to live in his skin. How could she express that to him without sounding unhinged? Terry massaged her back in gentle, calming circles until he sensed her start to unravel. She eventually nodded slowly, acknowledging that yes, she was okay— physically at least, even if her emotions were still in a disarray.
“I’ll do better,” she promised, her voice barely above a whisper, thick with exhaustion.
"That’s my good girl," he said, gently wiping away tears from her cheekbone as his expression softened. Despite what she might think, he didn’t get as much satisfaction from spanking her as she believed. It was just something he had to do.
“Come on, pretty. I’ll fill the tub up for you, and then we can order brunch from your favorite spot.”

Welcome to my page!
This is an updated Pinned post (Made on 5/21/2023) for anyone just finding my Tumblr now that I'm pretty settled into using it again.
I mainly use the site to share the content I make, but I also try to regularly get on and queue up some cool stuff others have posted in order to keep the page active.
I mainly make YouTube videos that are outdoor vlog style rants, reviews and retrospective on things I like, (Said things include Toys, Tokusatsu, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Wrestling and Comic Books to name a few) but I also do Podcasts on a group channel I run with some friends called Modular Media and Toy Photography when I have time, so all of that tents to get posted or shared here.
As for me Personally, I'm a 26 YO CIS White Atheist man (He/Him pronouns) living in South Carolina who considers himself an independent but tends to vote left nine times out of time and tries his best to be a good ally where ever possible. (Love is love, Trans rights are human rights, Black Lives Matter, Stop Asian Hate & any form of workers rights are all things I believe very strongly in supporting)
If you'd like to see more of my content or support what I do, you can find everything through my link tree page: https://linktr.ee/thevacuuminator

This is a poem called loml, I hope you enjoy it.
Bae is my favorite boy toy. He's the flashiest piece of heavy weight plastic out there and he looks like a dumpster truck mated with a g.i Joe and I hope you can fit all that in a picture. He makes me want to buy a knock off Barbie from the dollar store and swing hammers at her squishy hallow non metallic head. That action figurine sits at the top of a pile of dirt and watches as I bully stupid dollar store Barbie because she's from a weird country, is basic, has no style, boring, and has no personality. Then I pop her head and limbs off and put them in a dollar store brand trick or treat bucket and pour hot cinnamon apple juice inside it. She has no hair to begin with but I make sure to snip off all her hair along with the mixture. Then I put dirt inside the bucket so she knows her true self worth and dignity as a loser. Infact, I stole that stupid girl named []. I then proceed to clothes pin that bad boy up in a electric line and hope she gets hit by lightning or eaten by wolves. She deserves it for being born a monster. I hope she suffers. Bae comes clunking around. I tell him there's nothing left to see. She is gone with the wind. So you can scuttle along. What is there to miss? Her weirdly pale, tan smooth skin with a line of plastic where the two molds meet. The way her toes are webbed cause she's an imposter, or the way her hair looks like she has lichen planus. So no thank you. Girl who has no mouth or tongue or esophagus. Creepy. We cannot accept this kind. She needs to be destroyed. If I had not snipped off that hair, the synthetic hair of hers would surely have gone to her ribcage. Whatever that means. Her body is distorted, how good could her actual person be. I'm pretty sure her name is Mallory at this point. Gay ass Mallory. She loves ropes. Nerd ropes, fruit rollup, ropey hair, ropey belt, ropey watch. Ropey earring. Get a life. Sheesh. What is she, nautical and boho? Yeah right. She can dangle her new rope engagement ring from the literal shed and moo a long. Cause she's marrying a cow that I'm eating for dinner. Oh and you know what else?. Your lipstick looks like turd shit. Haha. And by the way, Mr. Clunker does not want to fadangle with you. He's too busy telling the world that poor people need to marry poor people cause that's how the earth is turning on its axle. Like only then will a poor boy find true love. And a poor girl lose weight. So honk honk right back at you. Also, girl with no lips. You look like you eat food with no fingers cause you just bop apples all day like a horse. Yeah. Neigh neigh. So no more spa ghetto for you. Adios. "One that is destined for failure". We don't want your kind here. Remember that. And also silly girl... Weird boy toy feels bad for you. But there is nothing that can be done now. It is too late. So we are gunna shed no more tears for you- loser. You are nothing but a mud pie. Continue to eat snails and your mucus membranes will call you mom. "Mommy" have a good life. We don't want your kind here.
Kiss my Mallory.
And freak you
:)
I hate you. End of story.

My favorite Diane Arbus photo
Tumblr media
I think out of all of the photos inside of Diane Arbus's collage, this one depicting a young boy has to be my favorite. I feel this photo stands out to me because it has some unsettling interpretations depending on how you wish to see this young boy. My personal interpretation is that this boy is heavily troubled in his life, he may have experienced such a trauma that he cannot recover from. As well as the grenade he holds in his hand, maybe he doesn't quite know how to handle his emotions on a such a trauma, therefore he bottles it up, he compacts his feelings into that grenade until he pulls it's pin and it blows up. His body language also indicates this since he seems very tense, simply perturbed to a point where he is constantly stressing over small things. The most important detail I noticed about this photo is that everything seems much more cheery than him, as if he's excluded from the happy exterior environment, or rather that happy environment is how he interprets it's all like. I like this image also for the theme that we may not even know how some people feel on the inside since maybe it's all just introspection of how we think he is. Maybe the young boy likes military toys and likes shows pertaining to the military like G.I. Joe. Maybe the boy's making a goofy face for the camera and trying to seem funny. We don't know and I think that's the best part of Diane's collage of photos, we can't ever know what these real people are, and the unknown nature of this photo and how this boy looked intrigued me, it made me want to ask these questions. I believe that's what's important to glean from these images.

Unexpected Visitor (Part 2)
Jason Todd X Fem!Reader
First part is pinned. <3
Summary: When Jason gets kicked off the Titans because of his actions with Johnathan Crane, he goes to his old “friend” who was once in the same situation.
TW: !TITANS S3 SPOILERS! Angst, fluff (I’m gonna be nice nowđŸ„Č.)
WC: 499
Note: Y/N/N stands for “Your Nickname” || Also, my normal face claim for Jason is Matthew Daddario but you can imagine him as whoever.
Tumblr media
——————————————————————————-
Y/N’S POV
I sat there and listened to everything Jason had to say, basically everything that happened to me like getting kicked out and being blamed for something I didn’t do. It happened to him to, this also showed a new side of the titans. Not gonna lie I was sad to hear about what he did to Hank, but it seemed like Jason just wanted to prove he can be somehow “better” than his brother..Or at least that’s what I got from it.
“So, Y/N can I crash here for a bit?” He sounded nervous like how he did earlier but since I felt kind of bad I decided he could stay in my guest bedroom. “Okay, but on one condition and promise me this, if Dick & the other Titans find out where you are just go.” I had a feeling I wouldn’t be able to trust him since he isn’t the best at keeping promises for a certain reason.
Jason seemed kind of sad & disappointed when I said that, it was like if something happened he wanted me to come with him? He later responded “I promise if they find me I’ll go,” he touched my hand while he said it which reminded me of a certain memory that I love but also hate.
——————————————————————————
-FLASHBACK-
Jason & I had just walked into the Titans Tower he had his arm around my neck like how he normally does so nobody really cared. We hadn’t made anything official or put labels on our what I wouldn’t call a relationship but it was something like that- anyways we walked to my room and watched a movie.
In the middle of the movie I sat up & sighed. “Y/N/N, what’s wrong-you never take your eyes off a G.I Joe movie unless your upset or tired.” I was in shock that he could remember that little thing I did but as I looked up to him, he actually looked concerned since he looked worried I just responded and looked down at the covers, “Jason, promise me that if anything goes south we’ll stick by each other every step of the way either with the Titans or just us arguments and all.” He put his index finger under my chin so we were looking at each other, and his other hand on mine “Y/N, I promise that if anything happens I will stay with you every step of the way and I mean it.”
My heart was beating way to fast for my liking and I could feel the blood rushing up to my cheeks so I softly smiled at him and with that he kissed me and I kissed back. It felt like I had some part of me back, after breaking the kiss he said “You know your mine now right?” Jason was looking at me with a smirk and I laughed while replying “I know.” After that we cuddled and fell asleep, that was the best night I had in a long time.
——————————————————————————
A/N: sooo, how’d you guys like that! I decided to be nice since I made the last part sad but I am having a lot of fun writing this which is why I decided to give you guys this part early but normally it will probably be on a Wednesday! 💗

Update on the current donghua watch:
1) Soul Land is a constant, and I’m continually amazed at it’s stunning visuals.
Tumblr media
2. The Carp Returns S2. A soldier got transported into a cultivation land and wants to be left alone. Nope, all the cultivation families are after him. First season he got by with his G.I Joe skills, on S2 he has to scheme more and find new allies.
Tumblr media
3. Can Ci Pin. The newest donghua based on a Priest novel only up at bilibili (with hardsubs). I want those space battle scenes on a big screen, thank you very much. YT only has clips of it.
Visually stunning. The space battles are on another level.
youtube
4. Dinghai Fusheng Records / Epic of Divinity Light. Loosely related prequel to Legend of Exorcism, since both are by the same author and set in the same world. Only a few eps out, but I did like both seasons of Legend of Exorcism.

I’m having a sad day today, can you do a image about Mitch comforting a s/o after him finding out about how abusive her family used to be. Like everyone was talking about their childhood and they asked his s/o and he comes to find out they weren’t treated right and their family neglected them đŸ˜ąâ€ïž
I hope this is able to bring you some comfort buddy ;-;
They always shared stories of their past lives around the fire.
It was one of the ways the Ericson kids had learned to bond.
Y/N thought it was sweet,
But surprising.
They had never experienced something like that before.
They didn’t know how to react to such vulnerability and kindness.
They normally talked about sweet things.
Favourite movies and family moments,
Their favourite days at school before Ericson,
And after Ericson,
And after the world ended.
Whenever they got deep, they steered away from home lives.
If you were at Ericson, that was likely a sensitive topic.
They spoke about their deepest fears and hopes,
Those they loved and hated the most,
Their dreams, if any.
The lives they wanted to have before society collapsed.
But then, years after their past lives had ended,
Louis cleared his throat around the fire.
“What do you guys miss about your families?”
The group around the fire went pin-drop silent.
“What?” Violet asked, breathy.
Confused.
“I’ve been thinking about mine a lot lately,” Louis said.
His eyes didn’t budge from the fire.
He ran a stressed hand over his face and neck.
“I don’t know why. Maybe because fall’s almost over.”
“What does that mean?” Mitch asked.
His brows were knit in earnest confusion,
But he leaned forward on his knees to see his friend better.
“It’s their wedding anniversary. Or was.” He said.
He looking lower down,
Away from the fire,
Letting his warm face flush with the cool fall breeze.
“I think it’s been weighing on me.”
Violet set a hand on his shoulder,
Scooting closer from her spot to his right.
“I miss my grandma’s cookies.” She said.
Her smile was earnest and soft.
It was the look the two gave each other as reassurance;
That they had each other’s backs.
That she was there.
Louis smiled gingerly back at her.
“She made the best sugar cookies, you have no idea.”
Aasim smiled softly from across the fire,
His chest warm.
“For me, it was playing Barbies with my siblings.” Ruby said.
he hugged Aasim’s jacket closer around her body,
Smiling into the night sky.
“We’d all pile into my older sister’s room - she’s the one who had the dollhouse - and we’d play for hours.”
Mitch scoffed. “Hot wheels. That’s where it was at.”
Aasim smiled, adding excitedly toward the male. “And G.I. Joe dolls.”
“Oh yeah.” Marlon called,
Laughing from his pull-out chair.
He leaned back and crossed his arms,
“I would play with my G.I. Dolls all day every weekend.”
He laughed and hd his face,
Cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
“My parents thought I was weird for a few reasons.”
Everyone around the circle chuckled.
And Y/N, from their spot beside Mitch, curled closer into him.
Assuming it was because of the cold,
Mitch wrapped an arm around their shoulders.
“I would build, use, and then remake HotWheels tracks for hours.” He smiled into the fire.
He squeezed Y/N’s arm in earnest excitement.
“Even if it was just me and my little brother, and he got bored after 15 minutes, I loved them.”
Turning to his partner, Mitch squeezed their arm again.
Taking one of their chilly hands in his.
“What about you? What are your favourite memories?”
Y/N looked around the circle,
Stiff and tense.
“I’d really rather not share.” They said lowly, looking away.
Immediately, Mitch frowned.
Sensing something was off.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“Not close with your family?” Violet asked.
Louis gave her a nudge, but she sipped at her juice mindlessly.
She wasn’t prying, she was asking.
But wouldn’t ‘ask’ any further.
“I guess you could say that.” Was all Y/N offered back.
“Assholes, huh?” Marlon offered.
He faintly raised his water bottle before taking  sip.
“I feel you there.”
Y/N gave an impish smile.
A hesitant one.
“Yeah, I guess you could say that too.”
“Did they ever hurt you?” Ruby asked, hand to her heart.
She leaned forward on her knees,
Away from where she had been cuddling Aasim,
And frowned.
Y/N hesitated,
Then nodded.
“I’m so sorry.” She said, hand to her heart.
Y/N could feel the pain radiating off of her.
“Thank you.”
Y/N was stiff for the remainder of the night,
Mitch’s arm around them,
Firm, but anxious.
They didn’t remain around the fire for much longer.
Conversation gradually began to die down,
Y/N and Mitch remained silent,
And everyone gradually began to filter inside.
When Y/N reached their door, Mitch followed.
“Mitch, what’s—“
“Are you okay?”
He stared at them.
Really stared at them.
“And I mean actually okay. I’m sorry for out there, I-“
Y/N teared up and turned away before he could finish.
“Don’t be sorry.” They whispered.
They placed a hand over their mouth,
Trying to compose themselves.
“I’m thankful that someone cares in a way that feels safe.”
Mitch stared at them softly,
Earnestly,
Then smiled gingerly,
Growing closer,
Arms wide and genuine.
“Come ‘ere.”
He nuzzled their head into the crook of his neck,
Tracing shapes on their back,
Closing his eyes,
Just being present.
Just being there.
Once they had calmed down more, they curled into bed,
Mitch’s hold tight and comforting,
And he remained there until morning.
“I got you,” he’d hushed to them that night.
“I’ll always be here. You’re surrounded by love and safety now. Always I promise.”
And Y/N had never felt more at home.

Any good talon!dick fics or talon!robins fics? Thanks!!
Sure! I do enjoy a good Talon!Dick.
1) Of Owls and Assassins by Cirth
"Dick," Bruce says, not entirely sure how to react, "who is that?"
Dick blinks at him from his place on the workout mat. There's a broken plate with mac and cheese strewn all over next to him, as well as what seems to be Bruce's old G.I. Joe action figure from the attic. It looks like a child's imagining of a murder scene. "My owlet," Dick states.
It’s only 0.8K crack fic but it is very cute and actually funny, so - definitely a rec. Starring: Talon!Dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne, Damian Wayne, and Jason Todd.
2) the moon and the yew tree by dustorange
“This isn’t the Court,” Bruce tells him, for what has to be the millionth time. “It isn’t.”
Dick is still wrapped in the blanket, clutching it close to his skin, and he looks away, pinning the ground with his gaze, until he finally meets Bruce’s eyes like he’s facing his biggest fear. He speaks hoarsely. “Where are my parents?”
“They’re —” Bruce falters. “They’re dead.”
He doesn’t react. “Was it the Court?” His voice shakes.
While fighting the Court of Owls, Bruce encounters a newly indoctrinated Talon and acquires his first child.
it’s a solid 9K of accidental baby acquisition, if by baby you mean a talonized preteen. It ends on a hopeful note, and it has good parent!Bruce. Very heartfelt.
3) Roasted by Kathendale, widdlewed
After finally escaping the Court, Talon knew he could't be a Hero. Not with his past. Not with all the death and blood and lives he'd stolen.
So he decided to do the next best thing.
He opened up a café.
This one is 143K and counting - last updated in July, at the time of me making this post. It has asexual!Dick/Wally and Babs/Kory, just so you know. The authors says it’s crack and fluff, but be prepared for a healthy dose of angst too. Which is exactly how it should be.

Many Happy Returns! :D Hey there everyone!  I’m so sorry for being MIA for the last year.  I hope everyone is staying safe out there during this pandemic nightmare. Thank you all for STILL loving that Lost Light Fest art post from 2018, i STILL get notifications regularly for it, I think its up to almost 2400 notes now! https://angryfangface.tumblr.com/post/179616122307/and-with-that-today-is-october-31st-the-final So yeah, gonna get back to posting here again, trying to be more regular with art again.  I’m a bit more regular over on Twitter (https://twitter.com/angryfangface) with rando conversations and WiP but I definitely will be posting regularly here again any finished art :D
Here’s some of art I’ve managed to do this last year that I haven’t posted here yet.  The Crasher, Stalker and the Hordak/He-Man/Skeletor pieces are quite recent, Crasher and Stalker are just from the last month, everything else is from over the course of the last year. Working on a bunch of new stuff, lots of nostalgia, got a G1 Optimus Prime in the works right now too that you’ll get to see really soon (WiP pics are on my Twitter)
Please take care of yourselves out there, stay safe!

Shared Minds and Shared Souls (2/?)
Pairing: Spike x Female!Reader
Warnings: Angst, swearing, fighting, mentions of violence
Word Count: ~2.6k
Part Summary: Y/N is starting to get used to her role in the Summers’ house and with the Scoobies in the days following her arrival in Sunnydale. Much to her surprise, she enjoys predictability of her new routine and the normalcy of it. That is until a troublesome figure in Sunnydale makes his acquaintance and knocks Y/N through an unforeseen loop.

Aunt Joyce being surprised to see me is an understatement. It took Buffy and I both pressing her back down on the hospital bed to keep her from leaping up. Then, she thanked me up and down for coming. Which lead to her insisting she’s fine. She’s been covering at the hospital the last few days, but now she’s finally home. Her surgery went well, thank God! With everything going on, Joyce needs to be well. I don’t think Buffy could take another blow and poor Dawnie needs her mom. I know what it’s like to lose a mother, not fun. It’s Buffy and I’s goal to keep life as normal as possible for Dawn. The routine is I drop Dawnie off at school while Buffy plays Slayer. Then, I come back here and take care of Joyce. From there, I pick up Dawnie and prep dinner. In truth, I’m liking the predictable schedule. It’s odd, I thought I’d hate it here. I’ve never been the sort for the mundane lifestyle, but I haven’t been around family in years and it’s nice.
While I prepare lunch for Joyce, I listen to the rock station through the boombox they keep on the counter. The house has been rather quiet since Buffy and the other Scoobies have been out doing researching Glory. Giles’s Magic-Box shop is their headquarters. Well, here and there, sort of double at meeting spots. Whenever the house is this quiet, I have to have music or the tv playing in the background. Otherwise, everything gets all noisy. Sunnydale has so much pent up energy, both good and evil, that it messes with my head. All I hear are the voices in the silence, so many voices that it starts to sound like static. I have mentioned this Buffy, I wouldn’t want to stress her anymore.
My peace is abruptly disturbed as the kitchen door swings open and someone flies in hiding under a blanket. I jump, dropping my knife on Joyce’s sandwich. Smoke radiates from the figure like they’re a walking fire pit. Tilting my head, I watch in awe as a bleached haired man struggles to shut the door, knocking around the blinds. Who the hell is he? He dramatically flails his arms around to get the blanket off with a huff. Instantly, I see the green aura glowing around him. His eyes meet mine with a tilt of the head like a confused puppy dog, granted I did it too.
“Who in the bloody hell are you?” He curses sassily.
His accent is enough information to tell me who he is, Spike. So, this is the pain in the ass, psychotic vampy who is tangled up in a love-hate relationship with my cousin. She’s all caught up on Riley, Mr. G.I. Joe, when she has this dude pining after her? Boy, Buffy needs my guidance in more than one department.
“Good afternoon to you too, Spike,” I greet him by name, much to his surprise.
Cautiously, he moves into the kitchen as I continue about my business. “How do you know my name? Where’s Buffy?” He asks, peaking around the house for her.
“Don’t worry,” I assure him calmly. “Army Barbie is with her team of misfit toys working on Glory stuff.”
Before I have the chance to blink, Spike is across the room has me pinned against the fridge. His face scrunched and his fangs daunting. While gripping my neck until I can hardly breathe, he leans forward and presses his body to mine to keep in place. I struggle in his grip, clawing as his hands. “You’re Glory, aren’t you?! Hm?! Messing with me?! What did you do to Buffy?!” He shouts.
“Spike,” I choke. “You have to-” I gasp for air as he squeezes tighter.
As a psychic, every time I have skin to skin contact with someone I can enter their mind and memories. It’s like watching a montage of someone’s entire existence. The recipient relives the memories too at the same pace as me. This allows them to kick me out if they so wish, all they have to do is realize what’s going on. However, like being in a dream, it’s rare that they do. I have little control when it comes to entering, it’s like falling. If I wish to leave, it takes a kick, like waking up from a dream. I have to be terrified by a memory or experience immense pain, those are the usual triggers.
The moment Spike touched me, he opened the gate for me to see, feel, and hear everything he ever has in the form of visions. I can feel my mind slipping and images begin to flash before my eyes like bursts of light. Then, my vision goes black...
A woman in 19th century clothing stands before with big eyes and brown hair. She’s so beautiful.... Suddenly, a pain pierces my neck.
Next thing I know, I’m sat on an old blood soaked sofa with a dead woman in my lap, bleeding from the neck. I feel hungry for more.
“My wicked, wicked, Willy,” Dru purrs, peering up at me from her position on the floor with longing eyes. I shove the body off of me and crawl to her. God, I love her.
I jump through time, landing in the middle of a fight with a young Chinese woman who I recognize as the Slayer. I manage to grab her and bite her viciously. She mutters something in Chinese to me.
“Sorry Love, I don’t speak Chinese,” I state, tossing her to the side.
Then, on a subway trained with a later slayer. I’m on top of her, gripping her neck as I twist it, killing her. For good measure, I steal her leather coat. I’m quite fond of it.
I hover over the most recent Slayer, and perhaps the most annoying one, Buffy Summers. I raise the plank of wood in my hands to kill her. Suddenly, I’m hit over the head and fall to the floor.
With a jolt, I’m back in the present moment. “Jesus and Mary!” I yelp, the back of my head throbbing. What the hell did Joyce wack me with? Or should I say Spike.
The vampire stands before me wide-eyed, confused by what just happened. Having had enough reminiscing, I press my hands around his that grip my neck and send a powerful shock, causing him to drop me to the floor. I cough as I catch my breath. God, I can see why Buffy doesn’t like him! Spike recovers quickly and picks me up by my hair. I scream at the surge of pain and dig my nails in his hands. Soon, I’m against the wall and I bump my head.
“Where are they?!” He barks in my face. “Tell me or I’ll kill you!”
“If I were Glory and I had taken Buffy, how would killing me help you find her?” I question his logic amongst the fighting. For being over a hundred years old, he’s not exactly wise.
Spike growls, not finding humor in my mockery. I’m not exactly threatened by the big-bad-bleach-crazy ole chap with the winkley-vampy face. I could have him on his undead ass in two seconds if I wanted.
“Spike!” Joyce’s voice interrupts our altercation. Both of us turn our attention to the archway to see my aunt standing there in horror. She wraps her robe around herself tightly. “Let Y/N down! She’s my niece!”
“Oh bollocks!” Spike swears, releasing me instantly.
I fall to the floor on my knees again. Well, this fun- what’s wrong with people in this town?!
“I
 uh
” Spike stumbles over his words as he helps me up by the bicep. He brushes down my shirt and hair nervously. “Sorry about that. I thought-”
“You thought I was Glory,” I finish for him, slapping his hands off of me.
“Are you okay, Y/N?!” Joyce checks worriedly, staying cautiously in the archway between here and the living room.
I hum, reaching up and running my fingers through the back of my head for any bumps or bleeding. Whatever she hit Spike with it fucking hurt!
“Did I hurt you?” Spike asks, sounding genuinely concerned.
“Not really,” I admit quietly and look to my aunt who’s the real reason my head is pounding. “If you ever hearing banging like that, never come downstairs! You hide!” I command of her. “Even if it did sound like I was getting murdered,” I grumble, glaring at Spike.
“Well, as long as you’re alright. I’ll head back up,” she complies quietly. “But only if you’re sure!” She checks.
“I’m fine, really!” I try to ease her nerves. It’s not good for her to worry. I shove Spike out of the way to approach her. “I’ll bring your food up soon. I might have to remake it,” I tell her as I spot her sandwich on the floor behind Spike.
“You don’t have to do that,” she insists.
“It’s okay! If you can wait one moment, I’ll just use some magic,” I announce, holding out my hand toward the counter. I conjure up a turkey sandwich just like I created before. I could’ve whipped one up this way earlier, but I was enjoying the task. “There you go!” I hand the plate over to my aunt.
Spike blinks rapidly, stepping forward to stand beside my aunt. He stares at me in astonishment, “you’re a witch?!”
“No, that shock you felt earlier was all in your head,” I sass, looking at him like an idiot.
“You didn’t tell me there were witches in your family,” he says to Joyce, sounding offended.
“We didn’t know ourselves until Y/N arrived a few days ago. She’s here to help out until I’m all better and
 well
” Joyce shifts on her feet uncomfortably. “That Glory girl is gone.”
On that note, Joyce thanks me one last time and heads back upstairs. I relax once I hear her shuffling upstairs in her room. Taking a scan around the kitchen, there are broken plates and food scattered across the floor. I was so far into Spike’s head that I missed the reality and all the ruckus. Of course, I felt his hands around my neck, but my vision was impaired with his memories.
“Let me clean up,” Spike requests, already squatting to pick up the bits of broken porcelain on the tile.
“No need,” I state with a flick of the wrist. Within seconds, all the broken plates and scattered food is gone. The boombox that we’d knocked on the floor and caused to skip is now all fixed neatly on the counter. Soon, Nirvana is coming out of it without a problem.
Spike rises from his position quietly starring at the perfectly spotless kitchen. I move around him toward the living room, already thinking of the next item on my agenda. I still have a few loads of laundry to go through and there’s cleaning that needs to be done. If I set those going with some magic before I head out everything will be done before Buffy’s birthday party tonight. Except, one issue, in this town, I don’t feel comfortable dividing up my power in case of an emergency. I could be attacked on the way to Dawnie’s school with the track record of this town. Plus, I’m Joyce’s sole bodyguard during the day, I need all my energy.
“Hey wait,” Spike calls as he jogs to block my path. He holds up his hands as if that’s going to keeping me from walking away.
With raised brows, I wait for the important reason he must have to be interrupting my to-do list.
Wait... ew, I hate that! I have a to-do list! What am I, a 1950’s housewife?
“Are you honestly Buffy and Dawn’s cousin?” He asks, still not convinced that it’s possible for the Summers’ to have family other than each other.
“No,” I answer calmly, causing him to perk up. “I’m really Dolly Parton in a disguise!” He rolls his eyes, muttering curses under his breath. “You know, the rumor is the blonde hair is a wig,” I ramble to add more spice to the sarcasm. “And she just walks around Tennessee without anyone noticing her!”
“Yep, you’re definitely related,” he determines unenthused, stepping aside.
“I’m glad I’ve convinced you. Now if you don’t mind, I have stuff I need to do!” I step around him to head out and pick up Dawn.
“I’m coming too,” he declares, following on my heels.
I snicker, stopping in my tracks. “You’re coming with me to pick up Dawn from school? In the daylight... ” I add.
“Yeah uh
just meet me at the crypt,” he decides, already heading back to the kitchen.
“Wait, what?” I blurt out as I grab his wrist. “Why would I do that?”
He glances over his shoulder, “I came to show Buffy something, but you’ll do I guess.”
“I’m not Buffy though, I’m no Slayer,” I laugh lightly. “If it’s important I’d show it to her.”
“You’re a witch, aren’t you?” He asks the obvious.
“Well yeah,” I shrug.
“Can you fight?” He continues, clearly leading somewhere.
I stutter, “I mean I know spells and-”
“Then you’ll do,” he declares. “We can tell Buffy about it later,” he adds, walking away.
Buffy is made for this, literally! Unsure of myself, I shake my head. “Spike, I-”
The vampire rolls his head back with a huff of annoyance. “All you God-forsaken women!” He groans under his breath. “I swear, one of these days I’m just going to lose my patience and kill all of you,” he sasses, facing me. “Except Joyce... and maybe Nibblet,” he determines as if that’s generous of him. “But definitely Harmony and that bloody annoying Cordelia if she ever comes back from LA!” He points at me sharply. “And you missy are testing me too!”
Um, excuse him! He didn’t not just say that to me! “Oh buddy, you’re testing me!” I laugh mockingly. Little vampy here has another thing coming if he thinks he can threaten me.
Spike chuckles wickedly and his face changes back to vampy style. He growls to reveal his fangs. I step back cautiously. I didn’t mean for him to take me literally! Abruptly, he comes charging at me. Oh great, not again!
