I fixed up this older portrait called "Demeter" and softened things a bit, it's not perfect but I like how it turned out.

The Evermore Grimoire: Greek Mythology
Urania (Οὐρανία, Ourania; meaning ‘heavenly’ or ‘of heaven’) was one of nine muses known as the ‘Muse of Astronomy’ in Greek mythology. She was the daughter of Zeus (king of the gods) and also a great granddaughter of Uranus (god of the Sky). As such, she was often depicted holding a globe while pointing at it with her rod. She also wore a cloak that had been embroidered with the stars. One myth tells of how the constellations came to be. The gods tasked Urania with decorating the night sky to guide and inspire mortals. Using her globe and rod, she would cast patterns of stars across the heavens. Each telling a story of heroes, creatures, and gods, thus creating the constellations. She was also believed to be able to tell the future or prophesies. She did this by reading the stars as they were arranged in the sky, reading patterns and the shape of things to come. It was believed that Urania, looked upon the early humans struggling to comprehend the vastness of the night sky, so she bestowed upon them the gift of astronomy. She also taught them how to read the stars and predict the seasons, as well as how to navigate the vast oceans.

women in mythology: ADOMA
"In Cameroon, this folkloric heroine was an exemplary daughter except she refused to marry. This angered her parents and she became something of an outcast. During a festival across the Mbam River, all the young people set off to enjoy themselves, so Adoma went along. But when they reached the banks of the river, no one would let Adoma ride in their boats. As she sat there glumly, a crocodile urged her to take his hand and step onto his back. The crocodile took her below the waves and decked her in finery before taking her to the festival. Elegantly attired, Adoma caught everyone’s eye, and men competed for her attentions. She refused until she felt like dancing, then took a flute from a bag the crocodile had given her. When she played it, people stuffed money into her bag. As soon as it was full, it disappeared, then reappeared, empty and ready for more offerings. Back in the river, the crocodile counted the money, which had been transmitted to him. When the party was over, more than one suitor wanted to take Adoma home, but she went back to the crocodile, who once more took her beneath the waves and dressed her splendidly. When the girl returned home, her older sister decided she, too, would gain a fortune, so she went to the riverbank. When the crocodile appeared, she said he was smelly, so he ate her." "It was March. Trees were displaying a fuzz of green [...] The insatiable force that put new leaves into the world was at work in me, too. My body felt insolent, squally, ready to sing."

More of Artio's spring/summer dresses designs ✨🌷 this turned out to be more pinkish than the previous one, but it also pleased me so I decided to keep it.
Artio has some sort of priestess' role as the bridge of her Ogham & the spiritual realm with the physical & earthly world so her holding a scepter to represent power & sovereignty seems very appropriate.
Which is your favorite version so far? 🌷✨

Lakshmana's furious anti-Agni Pariksha rant in defense of Sita in 1987 Ramayana -- that too when he has been stridently loyal to Rama throughout the epic, and his willingnesss to take up arms against his own brother -- has cleared my acne, watered my crops, and cured my depression whenever I listen to it.

The Evermore Grimoire: Greek Mythology
Khaos (Χαεος meaning "Gap" or "Chasm") was the first of the primeval gods to emerge at the creation of the universe in Greek Mythology. Personified as a female, she was the primal feature of the universe, a shadowy realm of mass and energy (mostly negative and dark) within the world that would stem forth in later genealogies. In the beginning, Khaos was all that there was, the dark majesty and mystery of creation incarnate. It was from her that the first three primordial gods sprang forth: Gaia (goddess of earth), Tartarus (the Underworld) and Eros (god of love), the fairest among the deathless gods. Gaia would go on to become the mother of everything beautiful within the world; Khaos however would not be as fortunate. Out of herself, she would give birth to two more children: Erebus (god of darkness) and Nyx (goddess of the night). Their sexual union produced the luminous offspring, Aether (god of the divine air) and Hemera (goddess of the day). However it would her daughter Nyx that would bring fear to the almighty god, Zeus (king of the gods).
