... btw, like half of the main cast is trans cause I say so lol. Twilight's a trans mare, Sonic is a trans demi-guy, while Steven is a cis guy, he's gender non-conforming, Bendy identifies as cis at first, but later just realizes he's agender, Cuphead is a trans guy, Luz is genderfluid and gender non-conforming, Anne is a trans girl, and Twoton is non-binary. Why... cause why the fuck not, I love making silly headcanons and just making my comfort characters trans X3!!!

86$, not 86 shots.
depending on what type of alcohol fox was shooting (im thinking vodka or tequila), he would have roughly 6-10 shots. which is already way too much but yk. slightly less than 86.
it also depends on the alcohol content of the shots. vodka runs from 40%-95, and tequila 50-51. and, depends on how long he was drinking. im sure you could figure out the actual numbers, counting the spent shot glasses and gauging how drunk he is, but fox strikes me as someone with a genetically high alcohol tolerance.
its very possible that fox could have had 10 shots, sobered up enough to be told about a wild government conspiracy and intrude on a military operation.
@obsessive-intellectual
I sort of had a feeling that this might be the case right after I posted that post, but couldn't be bothered to change it, so...
Thanks for your analysis! I actually don't drink myself, so frankly have no clue how things like this work :') My guess from what you've said is that he was drinking Vodka, as it was his drink of choice in Syzygy. Also in that episode, though, which I appreciate was deliberately OOC in many respects, he said that he hardly ever drinks. I don't remember him drinking alcohol at any time other than that ep and FTF, though I could very well be wrong.
Out of interest, what about Mulder makes you think he would have a genetically high alcohol tolerance? Also, that's a real thing? I thought it was based on exposure/experience (the more you drink, the better your tolerance), but, like I say, zero experience myself.
Thanks for explaining :)

...... Oh wait a fucking second....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A civilization based around science and technology. Their main goal is utilizing speedforce. Taking over planets and turning everything into machines. A never ending hunger for power and resources. An Empress, who is probably a hostage, with a convenient metal hat on.....
Holy shit. It's the Thinker.
Tumblr media
I'll bet that fancy hat on the Empress' head is actually the Thinking Cap!!
Tumblr media
And he probably kidnapped Iris for the same reason he got Linda last time! He needs leverage! He's smart enough to learn from his past mistakes and he knows that the speedsters can/will stop him. So he needs some assurance. I bet he went after Iris because she has a connection to everyone. That's probably where he got the twins from as well and he used them to develop his speedforce tech.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Devoe is a living computer. The last time he attacked he turned all of Keystone into a giant machine. Looks familiar, right?
Tumblr media
He was obsessed with getting Wally because of Wally's speed. With Wally's brain the Thinker could process information at light speeds. This would make him unstoppable and he would be able to take over the world in seconds.
BUT! Wally kicked his ass!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wally's brain moved too fast for the Thinker and Wally essentially shredded his data. They thought he was gone for good... but what if he had a backup in the cap? What if there is still a 'Fraction' of the Thinker left over?
He's learned his lesson this time. The speedforce is too powerful to hook up to him directly but it can still be used as a tool. He can make 'artificial conduits'. Conduits that can't fight back. He can take the 'organic' conduits and use them solely for power. No need to repeat the same mistakes! And using the speedforce as a tool he can slowly but surely turn the entire universe into one giant computer.
It's the Thinker!

hc V2 almost met Gabe in Gluttony but they heard the 'Machine, turn back now...' and decided that they had to obey the one authoritive human voice they heard in hell and backtracked to Limbo.
How do you think their friendship would develop when they do meet? V2 would probably be glad to talk to someone who is somewhat sane, and maybe they would appreciate Gabe's human form or would that be a source of awkwardness?
sjdhfgfg absolutely love the idea that for ONCE gabriel's whole little speech...works. like the only reason he does it is just a left over of his chivalric values even though it seems to have no meaning to the machines - give them the chance, he guesses, but it's become an automatic script of no consequence. until v2 is like "oh...ok. understood." it's glad in a way to get some direction while gabe is like ???????? IT LEFT?????? and he can sort of feel good for a bit that maybe his words mean something to somebody still. even some machine. at the very least, it was worth keeping it up until then.
i've talked about what i think their relationship would be like a little before, but i genuinely believe they have a lot they can relate on if given the chance - they are both based in violence yet are meant to act as protectors...and ultimately, they have both failed. however, this common ground hardly means they would get along at first - they see all of their flaws in the other, they see what they perceive as their own worthlessness, and that causes plenty of friction at first. what is v2 good for, still chasing after peace down in hell? humanity is gone and it has no one left to protect, yet it's still adhering to orders and programming that has absolutely no place in this world. it's small wonder v1 bested it twice. and what is gabriel good for? an angel without a god, still behaving like some kind of knight when heaven itself as rejected him and hell is being destroyed by machines. it's no wonder v1 bested him twice. they hate seeing themselves reflected back so plainly.
they wouldn't keep it up forever as they both come to terms with their realities, both taking one too many shots that just gets turned right back on them by the other. and gabriel would eventually see it's ridiculous, how he wants v1 to have a relationship with v2 yet he refuses to be civil; and v2 realizes how dumb it is to keep throwing insults at the one guy left in hell that might still appreciate the finer parts of its mind, the part that dreams, that has aesthetic senses no other machine does. And so they would slowly become more open to one another, the ice melting between them as they find more to share in than just their failure. yet there is something comforting in that foundation, one they don't touch for quite some time - they were both made for a singular purpose, and that purpose is now gone. they exist as beings never meant to be adrift, beings that should be discarded the minute they are no longer useful.
however, i think what proves to be most important for both of them is the far more human-like connection they find in one another - v2 was trained on human social models far more than any other machine and gabriel comes from the same creator as humanity. no, neither are an exact match as v2 is still very much ai, still a war machine with a coat of paint applied, while gabriel lacks much of humanity's creativity and power to fully self-direct, but it's a far closer approximation than either would have otherwise. v2 can finally talk about its imagination, about its dreams, with someone that understands (and even helps it interpret its more metaphorical simulations)...and honestly, i think v2 would like seeing gabriel's human face. he would apologize for its appearance now, knowing that the frostbite might be jarring - v2 doesn't really mind that either, though it does have protocols telling it how it should help him it has to keep ignoring lol it likes listening to the stories he tells it, describing all the humans this face knew and the simple things he would do with them even as an angel. over and over gabriel speaks on the kindness of the humans he met (of course, he was sent from god), how he was invited into their homes and shared food with them, how they always insisted he leave with a gift no matter how he refused. it's clear he misses them in a way many angels don't, but a way v2 does despite never really getting its chance to know them. so really their connection is one filled with a lot of mourning, a lot of grief for who they were and what they lost - it's outlet for feelings that had no other place before they met.

I wanted to toy around with drawing more places so I decided to draw Hal's pops in an arcade :33 it was super fun designing the arcade cabinets!

Being based on Herbert ofc he would love video games and atrociously colorful outfits
Speaking of which, this is based on the Cosmos from LBP2! Which is already a fun location on its own ^^ i might make little characters out of the fruit characters too

DOCTOBER '23 ⸺ 「 15 / 31 * INVENTION 」
August 5, 1992
❝Alright,❞ Emmett says, dragging his sleeve across his forehead, ❝that's the last screw. Circuits are connected, the imagers are in place, and the software hasn't caused any issues with the rest of the time machine's configuration; now all that's left is the final test.❞ He climbs out of the DeLorean and plucks a small, thin remote control out of his pocket that he holds out to Marty.
❝Would you like to do the honours, Marty?❞
❝Oh, you bet.❞ Emmett stands at his side, eagerly watching the time machine. Marty holds the remote out for dramatic effect and presses the button. The three holographic emitters burst to life, running through a kaleidoscope of colours until finally they emit a solid field of light that surrounds the car.
Marty blinks and standing in place of the DeLorean is a 1968 Firebird, sleek and striking red and most noticeably without any visible time machine components.
He takes that surprise as a sign of a job well done.
❝Unfortunately, it's still a long ways away from the holographic technology of Star Trek❞—to prove his point, Emmett slices through the projection with his hand; the image ripples at the touch and then knits itself back together rather than mimicking something solid—❝but visually, it produces a very convincing image, don't you think?❞
Awestruck, Marty hurries over to the car and circles around it, looking for any flaws or imperfections in the camouflage. ❝You can hardly tell this isn't real! Is that where you got the idea from, Doc? The holodecks?❞
Emmett smiles. ❝Yes and no. I'll admit some of the inspiration came from there, but it was also from our trips to the future. Holographic technology, among other things, has become more widespread, and it gave me an idea. I don't want us to run into another scenario where the time machine can be stolen.❞
Marty instinctively screws up his face and it doesn't take a mind reader to know exactly where his thoughts have gone.
❝That is another problem I also plan to tackle now that the holographic emitters are functional; making sure only certain people can activate the time circuits. Without them, the car is just a regular car, and the automatic retrieval system ensures that we can always get it back.❞
Emmett waves a hand, cutting that train of thought short to return to his original point. ❝Anyway, as I was saying, even in the future, the DeLorean attracts too much attention. With the holographic disguise, we won't have to worry about that.❞
Marty leans in, trying to spot the emitter beneath the hologram and failing. He runs a hand over the image and the vibrant red parts to reveal the silver hiding beneath, along with something that looks vaguely like a camera lens. ❝So will the disguise hold even when we're driving? Or flying? It looks great, Doc, but it kind of defeats the purpose if you can only use it when it's parked.❞
He nods. ❝In theory, it should. I was going to ask if you'd help me test that, too, by driving it down the block while I observe. The only thing I can imagine posing a problem right now is heavy rain, but since there's no storm on the horizon, we'll have to wait to test it.❞
❝What about other things? Say we have to go back to the nineteenth century. Or hell, even the sixteenth! Can we make it look like a horse-drawn carriage?❞
❝Sure. These holographic emitters will allow us to transform the DeLorean into just about anything, provided there's a reference for it.❞
