#really just want to see agni (and grace) being cool 😳 if that's not obvious enough#忠 on hatz's back means loyal#the sky is filled with shinsu loops (inspired by water dragon heavy storm technique but less destructive in exchange for wider range)#also if you haven't connected the dots yet. grace and jinsung are having a spar somewhere. and Agni is keeping it inside a massive barrier#he set up the barrier with shinsu devices ofc. not purely Agni's power. we can see him doing some typing there since he controls it#Also I forget if i have it written on future chapter or discarded it on this update script. but just in case i don't. here's an explanation#the barrier was meant to keep the chaos inside to stay inside. but because the shinsu on lower floors aren't as concentrated as upper floor#and shinsu inside the barrier was condensed with Grace's power. If the barrier was completely blocked off it'd be easy to suffocate inside#so they need the outside shinsu to be able to cross inside or Agni wouldn't be able to stay inside. Thus I imagine it like a one way valve#it's easy to cross from the outside but hard to get out without deactivating the barrier. and that was why Hatz was trapped#Laure on the prev chpt must've noticed that the flow of shinsu got siphoned somewhere and thus the 'something is wrong' feeling#but no one else notice bc it'd prob feel like a passing breeze. considering with how big a floor is#tower of god#tog#two sides of the same coin comic#my comic#my art#khun#koon#khun a.a#khun aguero agnis#hatz#rak wraithraiser#rak

Also I quit my job of what would in about a month or two have been 10 years, and perhaps now I will get to actually be a human being again.
#honestly? honestly?#last week i told the two (2) godawful egomaniac lab head Man In Academia bosses i quit and that we need to formalise it asap and i just#felt like a little feather about to float away on a breeze#maybe now i can do normal people things like eat and sleep and have a routine of some sort idk#i have been slowly losing it for at least 3-4 years now#i took a screenshot and last year i had no fewer than 14 fucking travel orders fulfilled#most of which consisted of like 12+ hour days on ships and docks#i'm just so tired man#not for reblogging obviously#i don't really wanna vent anymore or ponder them and the entire godforsaken institution but like#good riddance tbh#which is really really sad when you think about it! but here we are#it was just... no trace of future anywhere to be seen! entirely a Void!!#gonna post a beefy lesbian paladin real quick to push this post down lmao#but i felt like sharing because i know there's good and concerned people who follow me here and i both appreciate and miss you all#and lord knows some of you have been listening to me vent and whine for ages#am i going to miss some great people and the research community of my field? of course but also it was all just completely unsustainable

im seeing people saying like, dont worry abt chatgpt and other "ai's" (they are predictive text generators) taking your creative/writing-based/coding-based job, they make shitty art and they lie. that one movie trailer looked like shit its all gonna be fine.
but i think that misses the fact that it doesn't actually matter whether these robots can effectively do the job or not. the mere idea of them maybe being capable of doing the job is going to be enough for various c-suites to rationalize "reorganizing" their companies to get rid of all kinds of jobs. replace all the copywriters with one guy throwing chum to the robots, etc.
id bet money that the super-credulous who-needs-liberal-arts tech world has already run their numbers on this, but i could absolutely see other industries following suit down the line. in the end it could leave normal people with fewer, worse-paying jobs, systems that dont work properly because there's not enough people to maintain them, and a universe of inferior products and shitty art.
as always, we are not at the mercy of reality. we are at the mercy of an idea of reality created by a handful of rich people who will believe whatever they need to in order to make ever-increasing profit.
#i was talking to this crypto guy a couple wks ago and when this came up he was all like#its ok if people lose jobs because ai is going to create a whole bunch of other new jobs#and i was like. well how long is it going to take. are we going to guarantee everyone who loses a job to ai will get one of these new ones#can we just spend a little mroe time on the job loss before breezing into the possible future#he looked visibly distressed and then just kept talking about the new jobs#anyway im nervous and im staying nervous until someone gives me a good reason not to be

Breeze was the natural pick to become the next Captain Commander of the Shields Of Mewni (formally known as the Queensguard) after the war with the Ten. She’s held the position ever since, and relocated to the Butterfly castle in order to better carry out her duties. She works closely alongside her husband Sandor (who is captain of the Guard for the Septarian Kingdom) and her son (the personal guard of Princess Sagitta Butterfly). Powerful and highly respected by all who work under her, her mere presence usually discourages discourse among both Mewni itself and the ranks of the Shields. Like her mentor, she spends her free time teaching the next generation of Mewni’s young warriors. Though those who show particularly high potential she takes a much closer interest in.

Imagine if TotK had OoT Ganondorf, and the end was akin to him waking up surrounded by this Twink Link with a fucked up looking arm, a very nervous Goron, a giant, queer shark-man of a Zora, some weird bird child thing, a literal Gerudo teen who hasn't gotten her growthspurt yet, and a fucking robot.
Dude would be so confused.
I have talked with friends about AUs similar to this and if OoT Gan woke up 10,000 years in the future and saw a tiny Gerudo queen and found out his people were thriving (despite him, even) he would probably just have a breakdown

#been thinking about this absoute “starts off as crack but turns into a deeply soft and angsty piece” where#somehow during potential s3 shenanigans where things are looking super bleak with a duel with an angel#something just. fucks up. and they're both sent into the past in the middle of this tumble and roll#and they come to a time when crowley and aziraphale have just had some sort of feud therefore they're alone#and this abandoned future aziraphale and abandoned past crowley just kinda have to live with each other#and aziraphale is worrying about home and his crowley while this crowley is worried about learning how the fuck it got to this point with#this guy#and the point of the fic isnt to find a way home. but to learn to love the world again. because honestly aziraphale has been losing that#spark for a while now and he sorely needed a sense of peace before becoming ready to fire up again#so just learning to experience things like food and the breeze and books and love#while this crowley realizes that he was right in thinking there's much more the angel than he insists or lets up on#and so these two just have afucking summer romance. ignoring the terrible future guaranteed to come#and there might not be a whole point. it's just. dont forget the small things. dont forget those who love you dont forget what you stand fo#nothing lasts forever; so enjoy it while it lasts. thats the fucking point.#....okay. i need bed.#be heard

“Do you remember the taste of strawberries” and “The shire is saved, just not for me”… and…
#Lotr#frodo baggins#aueaghhh it took me so long to actually process his (and sam’s) storyline and have it hit#But yeah. It hits finally. Collides even#I always knew there was something there! But ironically it took getting a healthier perspective to understand the devastating Frodo arc#I used to think Frodo fell into the ‘bland for audience projection’ characterization… but he does have character#He was a (relatively) young adult with a life ahead of him. He just lost his self and future to the Journey. And he wasn’t a chosen one!#He chose to take on the insurmountable feat regardless of it all!#No more babbling brooks and napping beneath trees and trading everyday gossip over hearty meals.#Gotta head forth until you no longer remember the taste of strawberries or cream or the feeling of sunlight and a breeze :)#Have been watching people react to the movies for the first time again… highly recommend!
