Thank you for actually mentioning the fishing nets! I've seen so many people, not just tumblr users but professional Youtubers with big followings, bring this up, gesture vaguely in the direction of that misquoted 100 corporations paper, and then never mention where the plastic waste is actually coming from.
the top three industries in pollution are Fuel and Energy. Second is Food and Agriculture. Third is Fashion.
Even as bad as general plastics are- single-use packaging, containers, grocery bags, all of it- it barely scratches the surface on oil, coal, industrialized farming, and fast fashion.
That fishing nets are for- (dramatic pause)- food and agriculture
Yall have heard of the pacific garbage patch? That floating island literally twice the size of Texas made of discarded plastics? It's not all water bottles and plastic straws. In fact, IT IS MOSTLY FISHING NET.
BUT, as I've said before, a company can make a profit off selling you a metal straw and a reusable bottle and marketing itself as eco-concious and cute. There's not a lot anyone can sell you to make you feel like you're doing your part against discarded agricultural equipment.
You wanna change the world? Invent a $25 trinket made of old usee fishing nets and pay a Kardashian to wear it on TV.
And find a way to visibly infuse the properties of REAL OCEAN GARBAGE into its design or function, because otherwise every two-dollar contracted sweatshop from China to Pakistan will be pumping out brand-new fishing net hair scrunchies for half the price from now till the sun implodes, and the surplus waste from every single one will end up right there with that real stuff in the middle of the ocean.
Easily authenticated non-reproduceable upcycled fish net fashion accessories. They're the future

The Sims 2 For Rent - CC EXPANSION PACK
Tumblr media
Sul Sul!
~ More photos under the under the cut ~
Last week the Sims 4 got a new pack, this week Sims 2 players get that same pack! In a collaboration with @platinumaspiration and @tvickiesims and a HUGE assist from @episims, we bring you "The Sims 2 For Rent CC Expansion Pack!"
This is a large set, and advisable that it does not get merged even further than it already is! - I ran into some issues when trying to do this!
When you explore this pack, please take a look at the marble ring rug, it has some surprisingly cute rug swatches! I put a swatch in it to remove the marbles themselves, so you have a cute small rug! - I only mention this as I was going to bin the rug off once uploaded, but then I found it had some lovely swatches!
FUNCTIONALITY
So most of the items will function as they should and intended as. Its just not just deco items.
There is two collection files included, separated into build buy! Please note that fences and stairs and spandrels cant be but into a collection!
The squatty toilet that took me over 12 hours to make, yeah they squat, animation can be a bit bouncy but such is life. This toilet also can be flushed, get dirty and is cleanable!
Outdoor plants are seasonal!
Counters are animated with insides built, there is no drawer on the counter, I did not want to change the shape of the unit, and saw EA did the same - ignore the fact they grab something from a non existent drawer
Wardrobes have interiors elements, and have working doors!
Each Kettle have two versions, choose only one, one for the colour traits mod / one 'normal'. They function as Tea makers! Huazzah!
Spandrels in build mode are classified as fences. I made a variant with fence / no fence.
Several of the larger deco pieces such as the Arch Gate, or umbrella are actually lights!
Radiators act like radiators!
The Aircon Unit is completely functional, doesn't lower bills, but it does lower sims temperatures!
"Water Heaters" act like solar panels, they get money off your bills!
The Electrical Fuse box has 2 versions, I kept them both in, one wall deco and one functions as a burglar alarm - I wanted more alarms.
Most Sofas / Chairs have morphs!
Slots added to the Vanity and Bathroom Cabinet!
FENCES / SPANDRELS / STAIRS OH MY!
I have included swatch images of each of the spandrels, fences and stairs and labelled them to match, this is so that you can go in and take out any of the swatches you do not want. This is because there are lot of new fences and the menu can feel cluttered with them in for some people.

Functional Food Ingredients Market Size, Share, Trends, Growth - Cargill, Incorporated, BASF SE, ADM, International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., Arla Foods amba
The global functional food ingredients market is valued at USD 119.2 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.8%, reaching USD 165.8 billion by 2029. This market is undergoing significant changes and innovations, driven by consumers’ desire for wholesome and sustainably sourced products that provide health benefits beyond basic nutrition. Functional food ingredients are essential in catering to the growing emphasis on health and wellness among consumers, offering advantages such as improved digestion, enhanced immunity, and better heart health.
As health consciousness rises and lifestyle-related diseases become more prevalent, consumers are actively pursuing products that promote their well-being. This trend has led to an increased demand for functional food ingredients. For example, a February 2022 article from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) highlights that individuals aged 65 and older show a strong preference for various functional foods, such as yogurt with lactic acid bacteria, likely due to their heightened health concerns. As consumers continue to prioritize health and seek products with added benefits, the demand for functional food ingredients is expected to grow, further fueling market expansion.
Functional Food Ingredients Market Overview
The functional food ingredients market encompasses a wide range of ingredients added to foods to provide health benefits beyond basic nutrition. These ingredients may include probiotics, prebiotics, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and bioactive compounds. They are incorporated into various food products, including dairy, beverages, baked goods, snacks, and dietary supplements.
Key Trends:
Health and Wellness: Consumers are increasingly looking for foods that offer health benefits, such as enhanced immune support, digestive health, and cardiovascular health.
Natural Ingredients: There is a growing demand for natural and organic functional food ingredients, driven by a shift towards clean label products.
Personalization: The trend towards personalized nutrition is gaining traction, with consumers seeking tailored functional foods that meet their specific health needs.
Innovative Products: Manufacturers are investing in research and development to create innovative functional food products, such as fortified snacks and beverages.
Challenges:
Despite the growth potential, the market faces challenges such as regulatory hurdles, concerns about ingredient safety, and varying consumer perceptions of functional foods. Additionally, competition from alternative health products and dietary supplements can pose a threat to the functional food ingredients market.
Future Outlook:
The functional food ingredients market is poised for continued growth, driven by ongoing research into the health benefits of functional ingredients and increasing consumer demand for healthier food options. As manufacturers innovate and expand their product lines, the market is expected to evolve, offering more diverse and effective functional food solutions.
Food, By Application, Accounted for The Highest Market Share Among Form Segment In 2023.
With the largest market share of all the segments, the food segment emerged as the dominant segment in the market for functional food ingredients. The market for functional food ingredients is experiencing growth fuelled by a rising preference for convenient, nutritious food options and an increasing demand for fortified food and beverage products. This expansion is driven by a rapidly growing health-conscious population, especially evident in emerging markets, which seek out fortified food products incorporating functional food ingredients.
Functional foods are becoming increasingly popular among consumers who are looking for specific health benefits like better digestion, immune system support, or increased energy levels in addition to nutritional value.
To satisfy the many demands and inclinations of health-conscious consumers, food manufacturers are actively introducing functional ingredients into a broad variety of food products, from snacks and beverages to dairy products and baked goods by meeting sustainability demands. For instance, in March 2023, ADM introduced the Knwble Grwn brand of functional food ingredients, aimed at offering consumers sustainably sourced, plant-based food ingredients that prioritize wholesomeness. These products are cultivated by small or underrepresented farmers utilizing regenerative agricultural practices, contributing to environmental conservation efforts. This new brand aligns with ADM’s existing sustainability initiatives, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible sourcing practices.

Functional Food Ingredients Industry News:
In February 2024, Cargill, Incorporated (US) and ENOUGH (UK) expanded their partnership to innovate sustainable protein options using ENOUGH’s fermented mycoprotein technology. Cargill, Incorporated’s investment, and commercial agreement will boost ABUNDA mycoprotein production, known for its meat-like texture and sustainability. This partnership allows Cargill, Incorporated to tap into the growing demand for alternative protein sources, enhancing its position in the functional food ingredients market and leveraging its global footprint to scale up production efficiently.
In September 2023, BASF SE (Germany) unveiled Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) for selected human nutrition ingredients including Vitamin AP 1,7 TOC and Vitamin E Acetate 98%. Certified methodology reveals at least 20% lower emissions compared to the global market average. This initiative, under ISO 14067:2018, aids BASF SE in offering a competitive advantage while supporting customer emission reduction goals. By showcasing superior PCFs for functional food ingredients, this initiative not only strengthens BASF’s competitive edge but also enhances its reputation as a sustainable leader in the functional food ingredients market, fostering trust and loyalty among consumers and partners.

Humans are weird: Poop Crystals
( Please come see me on my new patreon and support me for early access to stories and personal story requests :D https://www.patreon.com/NiqhtLord Every bit helps)
The pace in which human technology progressed over the millennia was rather standard for a class 4 species. Even when accounting the periods of scientific degradation which resulted from natural plagues or religious persecution; it was expected that humans would not achieve advanced space travel until another 2-3 thousand years had passed.
Scientifically speaking human scientists were well more advanced than the society they lived in, but due to the technological limitations of the human race they were held back from implementing their designs. A primary limitation was the lack of a sufficiently powerful power source. They did have many different forms of power generators ranging from solar to nuclear, but to power larger machines often required equally large energy sources. To power their ships alone around a third of their vessels were dedicated to the power cores.
With these restrictions in place travel between stars for humans often relied on decade long journeys in cryo sleep; which ironically required even more power generators to maintain. Their large size made them easy targets for natural disasters such as space debris or prowling space pirates seeking an easy profit margin at the slave markets. These dangers became a standard for human travel until the Terran civilization encountered the planet Nolla 987 and the species that called it home.
During a long duration colonization trip the human ship “Midas” was struck by the trail debris of a rogue comet and knocked off course. The robotic caretakers tried their best to maintain the course, but with the damage done to the ship their primary programming to maintain the lives of the crew kicked in and diverted the ship to the nearest habitable planet for debarkation. Nolla 987 was the closest planet with a stable atmosphere. Originally charted several years earlier but deemed unsuitable for colonization or industrial expansion, it was not ear marked for either and left alone; until the Midas incident that is.
The landing was not a smooth one. Several engines had been damaged and multiple hull breaches resulted in portions of the ship being shredded away during the entry process. It would be safer to say that the Midas crash landed during the final stretch of the maneuver, but with a 73% survival rate of the crew a rather acceptable crash landing.
One by one the crew and colonists were unfrozen to find the ship a burning wreck and only a handful of robotic assistants still functioning. The industrial printing machines were relatively undamaged but without the ships power core they could not be used to print components or tools needed to make the necessary repairs. The crew was then forced to ration its remaining power supply and divided into two teams. The first team would comb through the wreckage and salvage what they could of the wreck while also building shelter. The second group would scout the surrounding area for anything of use and then report back.
It did not take long for the second team to stumble upon a nest of the dominant species of the planet. An insectoid called the “Sectar” which ranged from the size of a house cat to as large as a two story building. These insects digested their food and excreted the waste into a dense crystalian substance that they then used to build massive hive like complexes.
The occupants of the hive had been driven from the hive by the crash landing of the Midas leaving it almost completely empty save for a few eggs and new hatchlings who were not strong enough to flee on their own. Several of the second team members had been scanning the crystal structures while interacting with the newborn Sectar’s. To quote a journal entry of one of them, “They were like insect golden retrievers. Extremely derpy with at least four times as many sets of eyes. They followed us around on their legs like we were their mothers and clung to our legs when we began to return to our ship for the night.”
At least one of the second team was confirmed to have brought a hatchling back to their camp. There was a debate amongst the survivors on if they should try and eat it, but the notion was quickly squashed as they still had food reserves and no one was brave enough to see how the alien’s bio matter would react inside the human digestive system.
The same human who had brought the hatchling back offered it a portion of food which it eagerly ate. Not long after the hatchling excreted a hardened crystal roughly the size of a thimble. When the human made to pick up the seemingly beautiful gem they recoiled as an electrical discharge shocked their hand. This immediately drew the attention of the rest of the crew who began carefully examining the crystal substance. After some rather rough jury-rigging, the crystal was wired into one of the printer machines and to the surprise of everyone powered the machine. The crew quickly learned that the older Sectar’s would produce larger crystal excrements but were extremely hostile and territorial. Smaller Sectar’s were deemed more desirable for the time being as they were easier to train and harvest crystals from.
Within a matter of days the crew had not only collected enough crystals to power all of their machines and send out a distress signal, but also used the new found crystal power to create a full settlement on the planet complete with water filtration, crop fields, and a sizeable wall to keep out the native wildlife.
It would not be for another thirty years before a passing human shipped picked up their distress signal and went to investigate the planet. When they arrived on Nolla 987 they were astonished to find a fully functioning colony complete with limited orbital facilities. Nearly every human settler and their descendants had a Sectar in their household that they would take care of and feed and in exchange use their crystal excrement to power nearly everything they needed to live.
From there it was only a matter of time before the entirety of human space was aware of the events of Nolla 987 and the Sectar species. Within the decade the colony on Nolla 987 became the capital for a fully settled world with dozens of cities and communities. The Sectar species were transported throughout human space and began being implemented in all aspects of society.
There was initial resistance to the new power source by existing power blocks which realized Sectar power would be far more efficient than nuclear powered engines, but unlike other power sources they had squashed in development the Sectar power option had thirty years of trial and error to back it up with research as well as a fully functioning model with the planet of Nolla 987.
Sectar’s became a common sight on every human planet and were treated like common pets. It was even studied that when introduced to different food sources the energy output of crystal excrement could be increased resulting in certain food industries booming overnight. The composition of spices, cooking technique, and flavoring became an entirely new and highly prestigious academic field with the most successful of its practitioners being highly sought after by companies.
The technological capabilities of humanity experienced a massive surge in advancement within fifty years to the point humans no longer needed cryo ships to travel between stars. Those who had been studying humanity found themselves now being introduced to them as humans winded up on their doorstep with a Sectar on their shoulder and a perverse obsession with collecting its bodily waste.

Five fun sized KakuHida one shot ideas—
ONE
Hidan has a deeply dumb business idea. Whatever it is, it is so so stupid. It makes zero sense in a rational market. It's also wildly successful anyway because Hidan is hot, and that's more of a superpower than being smart or having a bloodline limit and MAYBE more of a superpower than being functionally immortal. It totally defies Kakuzu's predictions (which were of course of failure and collapse). Hidan is a terrible winner. He's also gone and donated all his profit to an obscure monastery in the back hills off the swampy end of Hot Water. He says money makes you dumb, and also sinful. Mostly dumb. Kakuzu is going to kill him. Like, again. Harder this time.
TWO
Hidan and Kakuzu have been married in the secular (and thus meaningless) sense for tax reasons for several years now, but recently Kakuzu has realised he can get free food at all sorts of places if they pretend they're honeymooning. He has been 'honeymooning with Hidan' for eighteen months now. The rest of the Akatsuki are pretty evenly split on what the hell kind of relationship this is, which is why today Deidara has embarked on the incredibly fucked up mission of interrogating Hidan's severed head about his sex life, yeah.
THREE
Hidan is a nightmare travelling companion. He is variously: too cold (put a shirt on), bored, tired, sunburned (put a shirt on), hungry, sick (shouldn't have eaten that, then), dirty, damp and miserable... Kakuzu has killed him five times this week alone, and so far all it's done is make him complain that he's bloody and he needs another bath. The next time he slings the body over his shoulder and carries the head in the crook of one arm, mouth sewn shut and hands inaccessible. It does not help.
FOUR
Itachi and Kakuzu must work together when the Akatsuki is hired to defraud someone's insurance provider via a genjutsu that can fool the insurance adjuster. Kakuzu is bringing the knowledge and context, and Itachi is bringing the godlike genjutsu skills. Itachi-san is on time, polite, quiet, and absolutely professional. He respects Kakuzu's combat abilities and bizarrely complete understanding of insurance regulations. Kakuzu respects his genjutsu skills. They're nailing their mission, effortlessly! Also, just as an aside: it's been three days since Kakuzu last heard someone complain about blood in his hair or scream a hymn to suffering twenty minutes before dawn, and he thinks he's losing his fucking mind. He's... unstable. Mentally. Mentally unstable. That's the only possible reason. Obliquely he broaches this with Itachi, who is an actual foetus and who is definitely judging him. It doesn't help and it's mortifying.
(I think this one needs POV breaks where we switch to Hidan, who is bored out of his mind and driving Kisame to drink.)
FIVE
There's finally a bounty taken out on Hidan, which has taken a damn long time to arrive because a) nobody cares about shinobi from Hot Water, really and b) most of the time Hidan doesn't leave enough people alive for anyone to notice how much of a menace he is. Kakuzu is having an amazing week. He's handed Hidan's head and body off in two pieces at six different drop points this week alone. He just sits on a rock and counts his lovely, lovely money until his partner stumbles back down the road, covered in blood, holding his head on one-handed, and glaring and wildly annoyed about it. And then he just does it again. Kakuzu has made so much money. Finally, one weird trick that works.

Hiiii how about a prompt for Further Down Road One, political marriage!Shikasuke, maybe something from an Uchiha's POV on the Shikabane-hime's meteoric rise in power, international acclaim, and political capital? And how it ripples out onto the clan as a whole?
I mean, the point of Road One is that the arranged marriage itself already does SO MUCH to change the trajectory of the Uchiha clan’s fate for the better that, basically, everything else after that is kind of a bonus. The fact that Shikako’s smart and powerful and a good person is NICE, yes, but just being engaged to Sasuke already earned so much approval from the clan as a whole that it’s just kinda… ehhhh…
Although… and this somewhat of a tangent to the prompt… it would be funny if… okay, let me set this up by saying: I don’t necessarily like Itachi as a character. When he was kind of a psychopath and apparently just murdered his entire family to test his power, that was at least a… strength of will or conviction that kind of resonated thematically. Like, what if Will of Fire goes bad kind of thing. Or the pressures of being clan heir, of being pushed too hard and too fast, would lead to a genius of violence snapping and using said violence. Then when it turns out he was given orders to murder his entire family and his one condition was that Sasuke would get to live is like… what the fuck dude. It’s both backtracking to make Itachi weaker as a character and also, somehow, even more of a psychopath in my opinion. And, like, sure, Danzo maybe used Shisui’s Sharingan to unbreakable genjutsu him into it, but I don’t think that really absolves Itachi.
All that being said, theoretically in this kinder world of Road One, we never get to that point. Additionally, there’s less pressure on Itachi to continue to excel SO OVERTLY since the clan isn’t getting isolated and also because Shisui is still there and alive to share the burden.
BUT, I do still… the idea that the Uchiha elders have been wanting one of the clan to become Hokage is something that I hold to be true unless proven otherwise. I do think the clan elders would push more for Itachi to be Hokage—because he is clan heir and so has the pedigree, while Shisui (just as powerful, literally Flee On Sight in the bingo books at such a young age) I think we’ve fandom agreed is an orphan or at least a lesser branch of the Uchiha clan.
Anyway, all of the above leads me to: Shisui and Itachi trying to PR campaign for their sister-in-law Shikako (who WILL be an Uchiha once the marriage actually) to be the new “best candidate” for an Uchiha Hokage. Like, really just them listing off all of her accomplishments to not only the Uchiha elders but the rest of the clan (who, again, already quite like her).
I also think, in this universe, that Shikako would DO SOMETHING about Sora-ku once she feels a little more comfortable making decisions—or, at least, making proposals with attached logistics—for the Uchiha clan. Like. It’s a huge chunk of territory that seems to be an abandoned city. But it’s apparently functional enough to have a community of sorts of black marketeers and a support system. Like, it’s not so out of the way of things that nobody bothers with it, which implies that it could be rejuvenated with the time and resources. I think I read a theory once that it’s because Senju used their skills to desertify the area so there just wasn’t enough food to support a city of that size. BUT, now they’ve got Shikako. And Shikako’s connections. Whether that is the ANY clan alliance or Tenzo/Yamato or upper echelons of Hidden Mist’s administration (Haku is an ice user, yes, but like he and Zabuza wouldn’t throw a squad of Mist nin with water nature to help with irrigation at Shikako’s request for free) or even the literal oasis creating ancient god Gelel.
So, you know, she’s more than proven herself to the world. And with the Sora-ku rejuvenation, already brought a level of prosperity to the Uchiha clan than they could ever imagine. “Shikako for Hokage” is not a hard sell for Shisui and Itachi whatsoever (and also, they do think Sasuke would be so happy as her First Gentleman/trophy husband)
Yeah, that’s kind of all I can think of for this prompt in terms of it being different than how the Nara clan or DoS canon clans for that matter would view her meteoric rise. Hope you enjoyed, anon.

Functional pet food is an alternative to traditional pet food, which is increasingly given for pet’s healthy life. Functional pet food is rich in nutrients, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Functional food is gaining significant traction among pet owners due to benefits associated with functional pet food to improve immune system strength, bone, brain, & muscle health, reduce postprandial glucose and insulin concentrations, and prevent diabetes‐related disorders. Furthermore, growing pet humanization and increasing spending on pet grooming & food are expected to boost the growth of the functional pet food market during the forecast period. Functional pet food provides essential nutrients, which help to improve the health of various pets, including dogs, cats, freshwater fish, reptiles, horses, and birds.
