Trying to think of a suitable name for the cat. “How about Levi?” At this suggestion, Levi purred and Erwin smiled fondly down at the small cat he was rapidly growing attached to. “Levi it is then.” Levi stayed at Erwin’s side for a while longer, until a squirrel scampering through the yard grabbed his attention. Rising to all fours, Levi eyed up the small rodent with wide eyes before taking off after it in a flash. His shape blurred against the vibrant grass like a shadow as he gained on the smaller creature. The squirrel, realizing that it was about to meet its doom, darted into the bushes with Levi hot on its heels. The branches and leaves rustled for only a moment as Levi vanished after the squirrel, before the yard fell silent. “At least I know I don’t need to worry about mice with you around,” Erwin mused to himself as he climbed to his feet. Heading back inside to wash the cut on his hand. Their routine shifted after that day - Erwin staying outside to pet Levi for a bit whenever he gave him food. Levi started waiting for Erwin on the porch, rubbing up against his ankles whenever Erwin came outside with his bowl of food. While giving Levi his daily dose of pets and chin scratches, Erwin would tell Levi about his day. Letting the small cat know about the drama between his students and coworkers, details about his lessons, and the day to day minutiae that went into education.

Today was different though. As Erwin crouched down to place the plate of food on the stoop - which was no longer served on paper plates, Erwin had purchased some proper feeding bowls for the cat - he felt a soft pressure along his ankle.

“Oh, hello there,” Erwin cooed to the cat as he froze in place. He’d tried holding his hand out for the cat to investigate before, but the feline had kept its distance and all but turned its nose up as though Erwin’s hand was offensive to him. So he stayed still, letting the cat rub its cheek against his pant leg. Pacing back and forth between Erwin’s ankles and rubbing against him on every pass.

“Finally feeling friendly are we?” Erwin asked teasingly and gambled a finger. Holding his hand out in the cat's direction.

The cat ignored Erwin’s hand, continuing to rub against his legs for another moment before the food gained control of his focus. Instead of going inside and watching the cat like normal, Erwin crouched down further. Sitting on the stoop and observing the cat up close.

Zeke made fun of a Levi for not being “popular with the ladies”, but when Hange saw Zeke full naked body they weren’t even impressed and didn’t hesitate to save Levi…I’m sorry, Zeke, but you’re not that popular neither…For legal reasons, this is a joke.

Zeke’s actions in the forest are particularly unforgivable because he knew exactly the impact they would have on Levi, as demonstrated by the above panel. He specifically set out to use Levi’s compassion against him, and he found the suffering it would cause funny—given he was mocking him for it and laughing.

This look, this haunting look of resignation sticks with me always. We see Levi hesitate, really internally grapple with what he knows he ultimately has to do. The whole scene wrenches my heart, because it's so obvious how painful this decision was for him.

Ultimately, Levi still had a job to do. There was no saving his comrades, those he cared so deeply for.

If he were to let himself be eaten here, if he had hesitated any longer, Zeke could never be brought to justice. Levi had to at least do that for them. For all of them.

Anyways, Zeke Jaeger had to sit down and realise that because of his decision at seven to turn in his parents as Eldian spies his dad essentially replaced him and Dina, went back to Paradis and had another wife and another son and on top of that he had to realise that after raising Zeke to be nothing but a pawn for Eldia, Grisha had gone and named his new son after Eren Kruger, the leader of the Eldian Restorationists, AND IF THAT WASNT BAD ENOUGH Zeke was probably aware enough to know that Grisha did that whilst being married to a woman who probably had no clue whatsoever as to who/what Grisha was and what the name symbolised.

When I start my youtube channel, I might do an entire video on why I feel like Zeke is the real evil of Attack on Titan. Aside from everything previously mentioned, he literally wanted to annihilate his own people. "Since people keep treating us poorly, let's just kill ourselves off instead of trying to co-exist" like wtf dude. He says, "I had to do what I had to do cause I needed Marley to believe I was with them" but it's honestly just such bullshit. So much that he does is unnecessarily cruel and evil for the sake of being cruel and evil. He has royal blood so it sent him on a power trip and he abuses it to the enth degree. He fucking sucks ass. I feel like he is one of the only characters with truly no redeemable qualities. Annie took Levi's entire squad from him and I still like her. Pieck took Zeke after Levi / Erwin went through that whole charge and I even started to like her towards the end. People don't hate Zeke cause they love Levi. Even if I didn't like Levi, I'd still hate Zeke lol he's fucking trash. I truly don't understand how anyone could like him. Also, I hate when people use his backstory as an excuse to be trash. There's other people from Marley who aren't trash. Levi has a tragic backstory and he probably has the biggest heart in the series tbh

Also, I love how all the fics I've read that mention Zeke also have him portrayed as a twat. It doesn't matter if it's the canon universe or a zombie apocalypse or some modern office setting. He sucks so much that he sucks in every universe and I think that's beautiful.

I know you hate Zeke but I feel like there's no real reason behind it other than that you're a Levi stan 🤷🏽‍♀️

Or maybe I hate the guy because he is genuinely an asshole? There is so much about Zeke to dislike and maybe my bias for Levi does have something to do with it but for the most part, it's because Zeke is just a terrible human being. He turned a whole village of innocent people into mindless titans, which for me is reason enough to hate him. Not to mention all the other stuff he did, Zeke is a good written character but he is a narcissistic and awful person.
