i'm doing very well!! i haven't cut out coffee completely bc i really don't think i can (it's been one of my daily pleasures for SO long), but right now i only have 1-2 espresso shots and i don't even have it every day anymore

also remembering that i used to have 4-6 shots per drink, sometimes multiple times a day, makes me want to throw up now which is probably a good sign ajkdhdsh

Frother Moths (Genus Amerila): when these moths feel threatened, they secrete a frothy yellow substance from the glands on their thorax, producing chemicals that are distasteful to predators

Moths of the genus Amerila are commonly known as "frother moths," because they can produce a pungent, unpalatable froth in order to deter predators. A distinctive "sizzling" or "hissing" sound is also emitted as the frothy substance bubbles out.

The substance, which has a bright yellow or orange appearance, is secreted from the prothoracic glands located near the base of each wing, just behind the moth's eyes.

As this article explains:

If molested, resting adults produce quantities of a frothy, orange fluid from their prothoracic glands, accompanied by a sizzling sound. The froth not only has an aversive odor to humans but also contains PAs [pyrrolozidine alkaloids] which are likely taste-repelling. This phenomenon applies to all the Amerila and has been recorded from other Arctiids including Creatonotos.

The adult moths are pharmacophagous, obtaining the aversive chemicals that are used to create their froth by ingesting plants that contain toxic/noxious compounds. Those compounds are then sequestered within the moth's body, where they are repurposed as a defensive secretion.

The genus Amerila contains dozens of documented species, all of which are known to possess this defense mechanism. They are widely distributed throughout many different parts of the world; depending on the species, they can be found in the Himalayas, Indochina, Southeast Asia, Melanesia, Australia, or Central/Southern Africa.

but also this is technically canon?? at least currently bc n'kari is described as being a larger version of fulgrim

i like the idea that fulgrim himself eventually became a bit more rounded whenever he sided with chaos due to being able to express himself to the extreme (definitely not saying fat people are villains dont kill me chat im fat myself)

@chemos-factories (hi im tagging u in this dont hate me) has mentioned it before but its most likely that fulgrim was very thin growing up due to the lack of resources on Chemos before he eventually took over so i think he'd most definitely like a well rounded/larger bodied partner

I've decided that this is the year when I'm gonna learn to make myself fancy coffee drinks at home. I have a whole bunch of sugar-free syrups in my cart now and I'm just trying to make myself pull the trigger.

I keep telling myself that it's worth it in the long run because I'll save money on cafes (which... I don't actually use that much anyway) and I can finally have all the fanciest drinks without the milk/sugar that makes me sick and I'll be able to make myself nice little treats on high-symptom days but boyyy this stuff is expensive. ;;
