My weird and concerning dreams pt ????
Yeah okay,
I had a dream that was about a Pinky and the Brain episode that was also real life. They were in a crowd at the end of a wagon looking at the moon and constellations. Brain was prepared to pretty much do a party trick, and he waved around his hands and made a prediction of something like an eclipse. Suddenly, the moon doubled and one began to move around the other quickly. One moon plummeted and disappeared, and life as we know it started to break apart into something like a black hole. However, it all just turned out to be a prank somehow; ending with me noticing that one of the 'moons' was really just the moon animatronic from Showbiz Pizza.
I was also a part of a Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. episode. Velma, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby were searching for clues in a bizarre that was in some old building. They could go upstairs to look at all the vendors, but they also sometimes went down to the basement where a shady guy that I didn't want to be around long would be crouching down in. They were looking for Fred, who was somewhat concerned about due to the fact that he was missing, but it's was also sometimes the original Scooby Gang; they weren't really that concerned about anything other than completing the mystery. Later on they were stalked by some weirdo in an easter bunny suit with a hair fetish. Come to find out that Fred was captured and tied up with hair supplies and bands, and was hidden in a hair forest/forest(?) that was also in a barber shop, with an unnamed serial killer who also had a hair fetish. As you may have guessed, it was the small person in the rabbit costume who did it all. Come to find out it was a naked mole rat that was somehow related to Fred's childhood trauma, who claimed they did it because nobody would believe Fred about it, making him the mole rat's scapegoat.
I feel like I channeled somebody else's dreams. I have no idea what any of this has to do with anything (other than the Showbiz Moon. That makes sense).
Do I have any takers to who originally owned these dreams?/j
#big brain moment from yesterday is over#now we're back to my usual insanity#believe it or not-this wasn't my weirdest dream about the Scooby-Doo gang#actually idk-it just sounds like I'm loosing my mind rn#it actually sounds like I'm losing my mind#I didn't realize how insane it was until I wrote it down#a naked mole rat with a hair fetish- I just got that#see-it has jokes in it that I didn't make-this isn't my dream!!!#any takers?#anyone?#scooby-doo#pinky and the brain#dream journal#Fred was also basically dying#I don't think he made it out#idk why we're taking it out on Fred-Fred's the nicest one#-chill roofus#naked mole rat#fred jones#velma dinkley#daphne blake#norville shaggy rogers#scoobert-doo#shaggy rogers#Also why Pinky and the Brain-I don't watch that

I like your art. Will you tell me about your AU or tag me in some of the posts where you explained it? (Romeo is also my favorite. Insecure little beast)
Thank you :)
I've said it before but I'd die for romeo, that man is so pathetic I love him XD
But yea, my au. Romeo, Fred, and Xara are not the only admins in the world. There was one more, her name was Elizabeth. But she was different from the other three as she was created when they combined some of their powers into one being, she was basically their daughter.
Strangely enough, however, she seemed to be just a normal child. No powers, nothing. But they still loved her, and they were all happy.
Of course, that happy life ended when Romeo lost his mind, killed Fred, and bedrocked over the sky. That day was the last time either of the two remaining admins saw her. (When Fred died, xara grabbed Liz and escaped to Fred's Keep to leave her there, telling the people there to hide her from Romeo at all costs.)
However at some point, Elizabeth went missing completely, spending years on her own surviving the Underneath.
Until the present day of my au, after Romeo's powers were taken away. Jesse decides to join him when he leaves to the Underneath to redeem himself, help the people left down there. (she wanted to see xara again too lol) and some other characters go along too- I'm thinking Jack and Nurm, Lukas (maybe to write about the world beneath the bedrock, who knows) Petra might show up at some point.
Because, after the group reunite with Xara, they learn of strange happenings going on in their worlds, things disappearing, pieces of the world dying off, people vanishing.
And that leads to the question: what happens to the world when the powers that created it are taken away? That's right, it starts falling apart.
That is when Romeo and Xara tell the others about Elizabeth because, being the only one of the admins left, she's the only one who can save them and their world.
Somehow, somewhere, they find her and the rest of the story is her trying to awaken her powers to stop the destruction of the world, I guess XD
I might post chapters of the story, fanfic style, but I think most of the time it'll just be random scenes I come up with throughout the timeline. Three sections, one for when Liz was a child, one for Jesse and the gang trying to find her, and the last would be after they find her and she's trying to awaken her admin powers. And ofc I'll answer any questions or art requests for the au :)

So ALEXIS. Before I start, I get that when you really like something, criticism can sometimes feel like a personal attack. But, come on. It is audio roleplay my love. You'll survive. Just because someone critiques Erik does not mean the world is going to end. It is how art develops. Through critique, not yes-men.
I have no opinion on her tbh. She's just kinda there. But I've seen so much hate about whether someone is an 'Alexis supporter/ apologist' or not, and equating that to supporting rapists. Hello? Are we on planet earth right now?
1. I'm not massive into the Solaire plot but I'm sure as hell she didn't do that and 2. People interpret characters in different ways. Alexis isn't super developed. There's room for growth there. But people get so hateful and vindictive over someone doing something as small as saying 'Alexis redemption arc?' or writing a fic about her that isn't calling her a stupid bitch (because daddy Sam hates her, which is understandable, but christ). Are stories just endless fluff, all filler no plot to you people? You're boring as hell if so. Yes, so fun. Everyone has clearly defined morality with no nuance or opportunity for change. Yay! Don't interpret the medium!! Media literacy!!!
Alexis has a weird double standard around her too. If unconsensual turnings are meant to be a sexual assault allegory (which is so fucking badly handled if so), then where is this energy for William? Or Fred, even? Hell, or Sam, who let Fred turn Bright without their consent? Ik Sam outright said no to Alexis, but to say it's different is to say that Bright and Vincent don't count, basically because they grew to 'like it'. See where the allegory becomes very problematic, very fast? It would also imply that Sam, in this case an allegory of a sexual assault survivor, watched another person get sexually assaulted in front of him and did nothing. Hm. Let's not use that argument perhaps.
Also, I think it's very likely she just panicked. Honestly, who the fuck is calm and rational after a CAR ACCIDENT? Still an immensely fucked up thing to do. And, idk cause I've obviously never been in that situation, but I think a lot of us would've done what she did if we saw someone we loved mangled and dying in front of us and we had the power she had to save them. Is it moral in any way? Absolutely not. She didn't listen to him and that's obviously terrible. Yet, it's remarkably human. But no, Alexis is a stupid bitch. You support her?Kys. Delightful guys.
She's a prick, sure. Clearly not a great person. Yet you still simp over people like Vega? You know damn well he would've wiped Caelum's tiny ass of the map if Gavin and Freelancer didn't intervene. Different standards again. Or Blake?
I just think you all need to chill. She's alr, I guess, and entertaining when she's on screen. Just calm down and go touch grass. She's not real.

Gonna talk some avatar and guardian lore ideas here
cuz Mario having his stache keeping his power has been interesting to me
obviously it's a huge part of his character that he can be hard to recognise him without when he's maybe also wearing a different outfit
it makes me wonder if the other 2 avatars had something like this
like for Spudnick maybe the uh, jumper/full body hoodie thing?? could be it
also the more morbid idea of Fred's the. hands. considering mage and he's not quite himself without like. being able to cast fireball
also makes me wonder of how far it goes
also if you like. unplug the internet from their universes
cuz thinking about it, especially with the godbox the great beyond could maybe feel like the whole internet itself so if they were unplugged from that uh. probably not! It would likely cease to exist
but then what could the godbox exactly symbolise? Obviously it has to do with power but with the internet themes it can't be just some all powerful nebulous thing, right? It just doesn't fit with the themes. It's- a box full of PC parts which I'm still not sure where to put, the fact that it sets on fire from the explosion as well. Cuz it has a few things to it- it feels like- for one, inside it are basically scrapped ideas. It also has influence through memes it corrupts, the whole thing with memes where they become that gray colour and start wreaking havoc. It's like- the godbox took it a step further. The way it can affect memes feely like a corrupted version what the guardians are. which is probably why Niles was corrupted, I don't think it can do ANYTHING else. so basically the godbox is fundamentally flawed. It's like- if you fused guardians and avatars together. like a mass of unstoppably strong meme power so close to everything and simultaniously being supercharged by it and also connecting the world to it, so with this idea it's in overdrive so hard that it's unstable. just like the memes within it
considering how Niles needed a demigod to open it also implies it was closed FOR a reason but I'm left asking, WHO could have initially closed it, was it always a box, what do REALLY the pc parts mean in it, why is it found in like basically splitting through the real world, like travelling between what's real and not
anyways, on the side of the internet, I like the idea better that the connection itself is a different thing from it
and my idea is that the avatars would become normal if you unplugged them. my idea is basically that unplugging from the internet means all the memes stopping to exist
but being normal would also make them weaker
cuz my idea is that internet connection makes them like, supercharged besides becoming (literally) stupid strong also makes them just stupid
like it's a win/lose thing for them
this implies that 4 functions as a connection to the internet, along with 3 in his own way
and you're like whaaaat, are you calling them such powerful things, maybe a fuckin. ethernet cable
no. wifi adapter of the USB kind
the also implies that the guardians dying would mean the universe losing internet connection, therefore just about everything would go back to normal
saying just about cuz no way nothing is downloaded there
anyways. back to avatar powers
we see with Mario that he memes a lot and that's how he uses his power. all he needs is a good meme sound for a situation and he's all set, though it seems he mainly does ones about himself
especially with the voice clips involved
and in general, especially when we see his stache taken he becomes very human. like he tries to Meme and fails. that basically confirms he couldn't do it because it wasn't something an average fat man like him could do
so, since he can do things usually out of his skills and abilities with his meme charged self
and. mpreg Mario is sort of a meme too
we could get him pregnant

Blond Sweetheart Tourney: Round 2, Poll 4
Propaganda from submitters Under Cut
Farma de Medicis
Pharma is the reincarnation of a pharmacist from Japan who worked so hard to discover ways to save lives that he worked himself to death. In the new world, he is just as determined to save as many people as he possibly can, no matter the consequences, but is also learning to keep himself healthy to spend time with his loved ones.
Hi, followers, I'm hear to tell you about Farma de Medicis, why you should vote for him here, and why you should watch his show. Farma was a 30-something Japanese pharmacist in our world before dying of overwork because he couldn't stop doing medical research in hopes of saving more lives. He cared so much about this, his life in Japan was a shell. When he reincarnates, while he retains that goal, he commits to overcoming that and making time to enjoy with the people he cares about. Everyone who works for him or works near him gets medicine for their ailments large and small. Dry hands and arthritis and pink eye are all equal. He makes sure to sneak in to visit his very young sister when she's isolated with chicken pox. He hires women who lost their careers after having children. When he receives a boon for saving the life of the queen of his new country, he asks not for lands, but to be able to open a pharmacy where he can provide medical care to people for free. When people are doing dangerous things for cosmetic reasons, he's not dismissive of them for being shallow, but instead finds ways to reach their cosmetic goals safely. When he's nearly assassinated for heresy, he performs risky battlefield surgery on one of his would-be murderers despite not being a surgeon, because he knows otherwise this man would die and he won't let that happen. Everything he does is in the name of public health, and he's got the biggest heart to treat people for free, and just shyly ensure he's charming and helpful to people so they're not scared to come to him for the help they need.
Hank Venture
He's a really outgoing and likeable guy. He's really good at making friends, even supervillains, their henchmen, and assassins sent after his family get along with him. He's really imaginative, he likes assuming alter egos like "The Bat" or "Detective Hank" or "Enrico Matassa". He was basically raised by a bunch of homeschooling video tapes filmed by his grandfather in the '50s, so he's always saying things like "golly!" and for half the show he wore an ascot like Fred from Scooby Doo

31% SCOOBY DOO REFERENCE!! YES
All right, in spite of my better judgement, I'm starting another reblog chain for king's queen. So once again, block "reading king's queen" if you don't want to be spammed, spoilers beware, #/AndersenSiblingsBook3FocusWishing let's go!
#reading king's queen#i am....dying at the thought of a scooby doo au for this crew#you'd THINK i'd cast chloe and noctus as daphne and fred but absolutely not#ker can still be scooby but chloe with her donut love is shaggy to ME#charon can be velma aka the most competent one who still doesn't have common sense#so between aristide and noctus as daphne and fred.....well. noctus can still be fred because he has basic white boy energy#and while i also kind of think of aristide as a shaggy figure (never will forget that time when shaggy said he and scooby had common sense)#he can be daphne for that one direct to video where she temporarily joined a vampire-themed girl group

okay, the other day i watched a playthrough of the emperor's new groove video game for playstation 1. a game which, for various reasons, i have never actually played myself. but i wrote down a lot of things about it that i'd now like to share. this is basically a combination of my own thoughts on the game and a summary of all the insane things that happened in it:
the game begins after kuzco has already been turned into a llama and pacha is saying he can't help unless he builds kuzcotopia somewhere else. in the movie this is the scene which leads into kuzco going off into the jungle by himself, but the game has you start by exploring the general area of the village around pacha's hut, where his kids hang out and teach you the mechanics. kuzco also knows from the beginning that yzma is trying to kill him and encounters her as a boss multiple times in the story.
it's fully voice acted, and this is the first time that j.p. manoux had voiced kuzco. he would go on to voice kuzco in the emperor's new school and in various other projects, and while it would've been nice if they could've gotten david spade for these, i think he does a good job. pacha's voice actor is different from either the movie or the show--it's john goodman in the movie + season 2 of the show, fred tatasciore in s1 of the show, and brian cummings here--but he's not too bad either.
pacha: "don't take the villagers' coins!" kuzco: "the villagers are MY people, so those are MY coins."
tipo: "by pressing your action button, you can smash these red pots" kuzco: "good, i feel like smashing something!"
i'm kind of obsessed with the fact that these sort of standard mechanics that you don't normally think about, like keeping money you found on the ground and destroying people's belongings in order to steal their money and items, are explained in this game by the protagonist being an entitled asshole. also obsessed with tipo encouraging kuzco's destructive behavior.
chaca: "this pad raises the columns to form steps! once they're triggered, you better be quick before they lower again." kuzco: "uh, ever thought of making them stay up for good when you press the pad?" chaca: "uhh... no." kuzco: "don't tell me, you got the brains in the family."
KUZCO DON'T BULLY A CHILD AKJDSFHHDJSKGSG
there's a mechanic where you can continue playing from your last checkpoint after dying as long as you've collected a wampy. what's a wampy? it's the name of the funky looking plushie that kuzco has as a baby in the first movie and then again in kronk's new groove:
the above screenshots are from the emperor's new groove, kronk's new groove, and the video game respectively. this is a bit of a tangent, but something i find interesting is that in the emperor's new school kuzco secretly carries a plushie named wampy around everywhere for comfort and that plushie has the same basic design but completely different colors:
and the purple wampy is never seen in the show, so i can only conclude that kuzco keeps multiple of these plushies that all share the same name. maybe he leaves the purple one at home so it doesn't have to endure the horrors of high school.
anyway, back to the game--every time you collect a wampy kuzco hugs it and says things like "awww, it's my wampyyyy" in a cute little baby talk voice. fucking dork <3
there are several little scenes during the village section of the game where chaca and tipo keep showing up to give tutorials and he just keeps making snarky comments at them and asking why they're there and if they don't have anything better to do.
in one of these scenes, tipo shows up to teach kuzco how to open doors and kuzco just goes "how did you get here so fast?". to which tipo replies that this is a game. another time, when chaca explains to kuzco how the wampy mechanic works, he asks how she knows all this and she goes "i don't know! beats me!"
there's a part where some random villager tells llama kuzco to stay away from his statues and kuzco goes "i'm the emperor! open the door or i'll smash your statue to pieces!"
the guy runs off screaming "DEMON LLAMAAAAA!!" and then tipo suddenly shows up to teach you how to smash the statues. i think chicha may need to keep a closer eye on tipo in the future.
SPEAKING OF CHICHA. SHE'S NOT IN THIS FUCKING GAME. if i were actually playing the game and doing a proper review of it i would automatically have to dock points for the lack of chicha.
at the beginning kuzco breaks some kid's llama bike and then the kid keeps showing up in every single chapter with a new bike and challenging kuzco to races. he somehow manages to show up everywhere from the top of a waterfall to the middle of yzma's roller coaster and never once questions why this llama is such a jerk or why he can even talk. also, toward the end of the game you race him one last time and his bike breaks for the millionth time and he says he learned a valuable lesson. that lesson? that these llama bikes suck and he needs to stop buying them.
kuzco hates being touched so much that anytime a guard, bug, bird, etc touches him he says "no touchy" and then loses health.
at one point kuzco gets turned into a turtle and kronk shows up and asks if he's there to enter the annual village race. he refuses at first but then it turns out kronk has an item that kuzco needs to progress, sooooo you have to have turtle kuzco slide on his back down the hill and try to beat kronk in the race.
kronk is voiced by patrick warburton again btw. eartha kitt also returned as yzma for the game. they both returned for each season of the emperor's new school as well, and i believe eartha kitt in particular loved voicing yzma so much that every time they needed her, right up until her death, she showed up.
kuzco cries if you lose the race against kronk, which is understandable considering that losing means he has to climb up to the top of the hill as a turtle again.
at the end of the village section you have to run from yzma as she throws bombs at kuzco and once you manage to get away, kuzco says "you call yourself an end of level boss, yzma? you're rubbish! toodles!"
after this, kuzco ends up going into the jungle despite pacha's repeated warnings that it's too dangerous. and now instead of chaca and tipo, a talking bug trapped in a spiderweb appears to teach him additional mechanics.
when the jaguars from the movie show up kuzco says "time out" and then the frame freezes while he explains to YOU, the player, what you'll have to do to save him.
during the waterfall section chaca is somehow there AGAIN, at the top of the waterfall in a pink llama pool floatie, and is like "oh wow, another llama tied to a log!" (apparently one showed up the previous week) but does not react at all to her dad also being tied to a log. she just explains to them how this level is gonna work and then leaves.
she pops back up again a little later (still on the waterfall. they stretched this part of the movie out a lot) and calls kuzco "kinda short for a llama".
speaking of the game stretching things out a lot, pacha literally says during the waterfall levels: "this scene was much shorter in the film".
there's a whole other jungle section where kuzco spends an extensive amount of time having been turned into a frog. tipo randomly appears to help again during this section.
there's another race with kronk in an icy area that shows kronk to be an excellent ice skater. i would probably be terrible at this if i played the game.
when they finally get into the city kuzco tells pacha he knows the streets like the back of his hand and pacha replies, "but kuzco, you're a llama, you don't have any hands!"
when they separate and kuzco sneaks on his own into the palace, he gets confronted by a naked guy who's conveniently being covered up by a peacock and says the peacocks stole his clothes. he's blocking a path we need to go through so we are forced to find his underwear for him. this guy also does not question wtf is up with the talking llama.
when you get him his underwear back he, uh. well. he uses his magic sparkly underwear to fly away:
what is this guy, the incan version of captain underpants? kuzco then says in a deadpan voice, "this has gotta be the weirdest day of my entire life". can't argue with that!
i've gone way too long without mentioning that this game is primarily a platformer, which is a genre i kind of suck at and don't play often, but appears to have a lot of variety in its gameplay that makes it look pretty fun! the races with kronk, the part where you guide pacha and kuzco down the river, the part where you have to run from the jaguars, the stealth sections, and the various parts where kuzco is transformed into non-llama animals all have different types of gameplay to switch it up. the city is also huge and full of puzzle sections.
when kuzco defeats yzma in his throne room and then meets back up with pacha, they have to take the roller coaster down to yzma's lab and there's a level based on this as well. you have to control the roller coaster and turn it at just the right time to collect coins and avoid falling to your death. this looks like it could be a lot of fun to me.
tipo somehow shows up on the roller coaster to give another tutorial and kuzco tells this 6 year old to make him a sandwich and then insults his haircut 😭 kuzco i love you but why are you like this
before the final battle against yzma she says she's gonna drink a potion to turn herself into a hideous monster and rule the empire forever. and kuzco says "are you sure you didn't drink it already, you old bag of bones?"
there's this huge dramatic buildup to her drinking the potion. and then. it turns her into a cat like in the movie. and that's the final boss battle. you have to race against cat yzma to get the last potion to turn back into a human.
just from the video i watched, this race seemed very short and easy and therefore anticlimactic? but idk, maybe the person playing was just really good at it.
the final scene of the game immediately following this is kuzco visiting the village as a human again and we see scenes like kronk playing jump rope with chaca and tipo, the incan captain underpants guy flying around the roof of a house, bucky the squirrel chasing cat yzma, and kuzco + pacha's family all having a dance party while fireworks go off.
again i must reiterate that this game is missing chicha's legendary and iconic presence. my assumption is that since the characters seem to know they're in a video game, she didn't wanna have to help give kuzco tutorials because it would put too much stress on her while pregnant. still, though, it would've been nice to see her in at least the opening or ending sequences.
in conclusion: as i mentioned, i've never played this game, and the main reason for this is that i didn't know it existed when i was a kid--but even if i had i still most likely wouldn't have played it because i didn't care much about the emperor's new groove back then. the only reason i looked up a playthrough of it was because my autism brain suddenly told me i needed to learn about all of the official emperor's new groove media in existence. however, it really does look like fun and the playthrough i watched wasn't even 5 hours long, so now i kind of wanna give it a try someday? the writing is hilarious. not as hilarious as the actual movie, of course, but it was just so bizarre in such a great way and was very faithful to the movie's complete lack of a fourth wall.
also: this game has the best "game over" screen of all time. whenever kuzco dies it literally just plays a clip of the funeral scene from the movie, all the way through the "he ain't getting any deader, back to work!" bit.
#OKAY. here is my way too long post about the emperor's new groove video game for playstation 1#which i found out is also available on PC. neat!#the emperor's new groove#disney

Because I took some notes while rewatching s4, here's a rough timeline of the Hawkins storyline:
March 21st, Friday: last school day before spring break, championship game, chrissy dies
March 22nd, Saturday (March 22nd, 1986 was in fact a Saturday, a small detail I really appreciate): finding eddie, fred dies
March 23rd, Sunday: ronance at the library, max finds out she's cursed, writes letters, night at wheeler house
March 24th, Monday: events of 'dear billy', ronance at asylum, RUTH scene, night at wheeler house
March 25th, Tuesday: searching the Creel house, patrick dies
March 26th, Wednesday: teens go through gate at lover's lake, kids get taken in by the police, erica joins, kids save teens at eddies trailer, nancy vision (this is were vol2 starts), night at Max's trailer
March 27th, Thursday: stealing van, going to weapons store, teens + dustin in upside down, lumax + erica in Creel house, eddie dies, max dies and gets brought back
Here are some things I want to point out:
The events of s4 roughly take a week if you don't count the 2 days later nonsense
It's interesting how vecnas victims were always cursed one day after the other, yet there's two days between Fred dying and Max almost dying in 'dear billy'
After the teens get rescued through the gate in Eddie's trailer, they spend the night at Max's, without her mom being anywhere in sight, and I'd just really like to know where she is
This also means the last time Max saw her mom was probably Saturday or Sunday morning, 5 days before she died:((((
Since she had to listen to music constantly + the nightmares, Max was definitely severely sleep deprived by the end
On Wednesday a lot. happened. It spans over two episodes
The two long ass episodes of vol2 played out over a single day, with ep9 basically just being the evening
#my st rewatch#stranger things#max mayfield#nancy wheeler#steve harrington#lucas sinclair#dustin henderson#robin buckley#eddie munson#season 4#wish i would have done this for the other seasons as well

hello! how's your day? so how was your experience at your harry potter dr? like, day to day in the castle, and outside of it? if you lived the events of the books, how was it??? especially the triwizard tournament and the battle of hogwarts i'm DYING to know what it's like to be in the middle of all this mess.
Dementors, have you come close to any? a chamber of secrets! what it was like to be at school during that? how is the castle?! many people talk about the feeling of home, is it like that there or is it just a castle? have you seen the magical world outside the british bubble? if so, anything interesting?
I see that you have experienced all four houses, do you have any preferences and comments on the differences? if you were close to the golden trio, what are they like? flew on a broom? how it was? TIME TURNER!! if used... comments? what is it like to write with a quill? I don't see how I wouldn't have horrendous writing on this dr honestly
seriously, any detail would be amazing and I'm so sorry for so many questions (english is not my first language btw) hehe 😗
Hi :) My day has been great!
Oh goodness... I don't know if I've said this before but a big reason why I had four separate DRs for HP was so I could experience different versions of the reality! For instance, in the Gryffindor and Slytherin DRs, the main plot of the books and movies here was happening but in the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw DRs nothing was really happening (ie Voldemort didn't exist so we just chilled). Because of this, my experience in each DR was drastically different.
Day to day life is basically exactly what you see in the movies (at least for me it was)! You go to classes, you have some free time, you're able to chill around the school or in your dorm, etc. Every now and then something exciting or scary happens but it really was mostly normal school life (when you aren't getting into life endangering bullshit of course).
I was only in the Triwizard tournament in my Slytherin DR and for me it was more like the movies than the books. It's very intense though! Stupidly dangerous too. The most frustrating thing was not knowing what the tasks would be (I scripted to forget that little tidbit - big mistake on my part). The entire school gets swept up in the festivities, gossip, and betting on who's going to win though and that's actually fun. Not to mention the literal parties when the winner was from Hogwarts. It was really cute to see all four houses come together to cheer on the champion from Hogwarts, regardless of house rivalry.
The battle fucking sucked man 😭 Visually, it looked exactly like the movie! I remember being surprised at how hot it felt? But it was terrifying... I actually did remember the outcome of the battle while I was there but even then the adrenaline rush, fear, and anxiety I felt was so bad. I was genuinely scared that I was going to die or that people who "weren't supposed to die" were going to die even though I knew for a fact it wouldn't happen! I also scripted out certain deaths (like Fred and Sirius) but when it came time for Fred's death, I was really scared he was still going to die (he didn't). Idk... I've been to quite a few "scary" and dangerous DRs but I don't think I've ever felt that scared or anxious about a DR when I knew what was going to happen. I definitely recommend intending/scripting some fucking chill pills cause goddamn 💀 I had absolutely ZERO reason to be panicking that fucking hard
I have come close to Dementors! First, they smell like dead bodies. I don't know if that's in the books, but that's what it was like my all of my DRs. Gross. And by dead bodies, I mean the rotting variety. Stinky. They're also very cold! I think that's canon? When you get near them, it's... freezing. I remember reading a book about them and there were multiple documented cases of people getting frostbite from being near them.
During the chamber of secrets, well, I knew what was happening so I wasn't that concerned tbh. It was definitely scary but I also knew that everything would be okay and that no one was actually going to die. I was mostly worried about trying to tell them what was going on without making anyone suspicious of me.
I did get that feeling of the castle being home! While there was definitely a feeling of nostalgia, it also just happens naturally since you spend so much time there. It's literally a boarding school where you spend the majority of the year living, of course it's going to feel like home. It's really nice :)
I actually didn't see much of the magical world outside of Britain! I did travel to some places of course, but I didn't get a good grasp on other magical cultures. I actually plan to go back one day to travel more!
When it comes to the houses, I enjoyed my time in all of them! They all have their pros and cons hahah. I was surprised to find that Slytherin actually felt a lot more friendlier than I thought. They seriously value family and loyalty - once you're in Slytherin, you've got friends for life (whether you like it or not tbh). Ravenclaw was also a lot chiller than I thought it would be! Hm... I'm not really sure what else to say so let me know if you have specific questions about the houses :)
I got close to the golden trio in all of my DRs :) Personally, I was usually closest with either Harry or Hermione (sorry Ron), though there were a few times in my Slytherin DR where they didn't trust me. That hurt a little but I understood why so I wasn't that sad. As for their personalities, they were more like their book selves than their movie selves but every now and then something from the movie would slip out. (Like Ron being a little more naive in the movies happened a lot during the fourth year.)
Flying on a broom is amazing!! Definitely recommend shifting there just for that honestly. I mean I love flying anyway so maybe I'm biased but it's an incredible feeling, especially once you get the hang of it. I didn't expect to like quidditch since I'm not much of a sports person here, but I ended up really loving it just because I love flying so much.
The time turner was fun! A little disorienting though... I felt nauseous the first time I experienced it. But you get used to it really fast and it feels normal after the first couple of times.
Writing with a quill is just like it is here hahah It's definitely different than writing with a pen or pencil, but you get the hang of it. Just be careful with ink pooling and you'll be okay :)
I hope this answers all of your questions! This got a lot longer than I expected hahah

There's a Dreaming of Sunshine (Naruto) recursive fic that has an interesting soulbonding idea: people form magical bonds when they're united in thought, feeling, and and purpose. This happens most often in traumatic moments and things like natural disasters, where people are likely to be going through the same intense thing. The bond helps them coordinate their actions and get through it, and culturally a bond makes someone family.
I've thought about this for Harry Potter before. I like the idea that the Trio DON'T bond despite what they go through because their thoughts never align. The strength of the trio is that they all have different approaches that support each other, but this can cause some angst when they never bond, especially if one of them bonds with someone else. (If you want to be really mean, you can bond Harry to Cedric right before he's killed. Does Harry even tell anyone?)
Of course, you don't have to be traumatized--Fred and George definitely bonded when young. But HP has lots of big traumatic moments where you can bond whoever you like.
So ... Percy ideas. He and Penny can have secretly bonded over investigating the basilisk attacks, only for her to be petrified and him to feel nothing over the bond for months. He probably doesn't ever tell his family about this, for multiple reasons.
The Dementor can bond him to anyone in the school, maybe depending on what his worse memory is. Had any near death experiences at school? Does he remember his uncles dying? Maybe he went to visit his uncles only to find the house destroyed and them dead, and he bonds with Sirius over that. Has some wild consequences.
The attack on the World Cup could bond him to Bill or Charlie, giving him a line across family lines after the argument. I also like the idea of bonding Percy to someone like Tonks there. Just a great opportunity to put him with someone he has little in common with except for being the kind of people who rush into danger to help. And the war is basically free real estate for people to secretly bond and work through the war together, communicating through the bond.
#percy weasley#hp#harry potter#I wish this kind of soulbond would catch on as a trope#it's so much fun

Do you have any ideas on how the scooby dee gang formed?
Cw: minor mention of animal neglecting and abuse. (Not too detailed though) Zip: The smallest great Dane, given dwarfism and body temperature regulating problems (hence the sweater) would have been the 2nd member to join Scooby Dee, having relatively dismissive owners Zip easily weaseled away from her owners without any alarms being raised, so sadly they got a new dog in her place. So, Scooby-Dee naturally took her in out of half pity?
Darling: The last to join the gang is Darling, a great danoodle, being slightly smaller and more lean, she is usually on beauty products, her fur was naturally white but her owners keep dying her fur different colours for the products. For months at a time her owners will allow movie teams to rent Darling, for either promotional content or rather just movie filming. Darling is very snooty, easily getting on others nerves especially Mordu’s. She kind of forced her way into Scooby-Dee’s gang.
Mordu: The first to meet Scooby-Dee, honestly if Fred were to have a dog (it would be an Ex-service dog). Mordu is on the older side, having boxy build and a cropped tail, Mordu would have met Scooby-Dee through Scooby-Doo, the two encountering her again in ‘Homeward Hound’. Fred eventually due to the strain of having two dogs in the gang would sell Mordu to a movie producer, tying a ascot around her neck as a reminder of their bonds. She is very protective of her ascot. Through movie productions she met Scooby-Dee again. The two bonding and usually escaping from their sets to roam together. She is rather protective of them all including Darling (sadly).
Kerem: The third to meet Scooby-Dee’s gang, Kerem used to be an abused house dog, escaping her home, she was later put into the pound. Her owners had been contacted via her confiscated collar information, when coming to collect her she bolted as soon as the doors opened. Eventually scampering into the Hollywood area hiding in alleyways, or under benches. She constantly hunches from constant fear of seeing her owners again and the fact they usually had her collar chained to a small spike in the ground that was too low for her. If someone were to try and approach her she would cower away and bark. Having a loud high pitched bark. One day she wandered onto a street set, blending in with the other canines on the set, visibly distinct due to her hunch, the set owners seemed to almost enjoy the way she reacted to the sets props. Adding a humorous undertone in a twisted sense if they knew her backstory. As a result she is very jumpy around anything, Kerem was introduced by Zip, who saw Kerem hiding in a alleyway and called over Scooby-Dee and Mordu.
Lauren: The fourth, she is basically like Budderball from the buddies. She belongs to a movie production owner, yet often wanders off to the food station stealing food off benches. Hence the reason she wears a thick collar is so they can pull her away without choking her. She gets along with Zip the best since they can match each others energy, plus Lauren is also the youngest of the gang. Scooby-Dee and Lauren would have met each other plenty of times before Lauren joining her as Lauren was behind the sets with the producers most of the time. However she often appeared in bloopers, mostly in the kitchen scenes snacking on the food behind actors/actresses.

I love the Nancy in fic who goes off into the world after everything in Hawkins is settled and safe and over as much as the next gal, but I've been thinking a lot about Nancy's arc in canon and it is so much about being the one left behind to keep on living and the courage that requires of her right? Like.
Barb dies and Nancy is left to cope with what it means for someone so young, someone you love and have loved so deeply, someone who was an intrinsic part of your life to be gone. She's left as the one person on the planet who not only knew Barb as she was when she was alive, as a true friend and as the person she was outside of all the high school bullshit, but also the one person who carried the weight of her legacy even before her parents knew she was dead.
Nancy carries on after Barb, carries the stories to which she is now the only teller.
In season 2, when everyone else wants and needs to try and pretend that everything is normal, she's left behind again as the one who is desperate to not ignore what's happened. She refuses to put it down, tuck it away, leave it behind and is left behind herself /because/ of this, because she doesn't cope in the same way Steve does, because she doesn't believe that healing is in the putting it in the past the way so many of them do.
Nancy goes to work for the Herald, takes the initiative to put all that energy of being desperate for answers she doesn't get to have regarding her own sense of self in the midst of ongoing grief and tragedy into a place where there are answers she maybe has a shot at actually nailing down and you know what happens when she latches onto a story where she thinks this desperate part of herself might be able to help someone? No one believes her! Even Jonathan gives up the chase after they get fired and Nancy is once again, left the only soul to care about putting the pieces together.
She is always the only one around to put the pieces together, she is in Hawkins in season 4, boyfriend across the country and trying to make plans for getting out of the whole mess together, but a girl is killed and Nancy latches on because come ON it's a teenage girl dying under mysterious circumstances and Nancy has grieved and Nancy is grieving and Nancy left Barb behind once and has been cursed to be left alone forever more in retribution and--
And Fred dies.
And Nancy is alone.
Even when she's back together with the Party, Vecna finds her, drags her off into isolation and shows her what it will be like when she outlives her entire family because THAT is the tragedy of Nancy Wheeler.
Outliving.
It doesn't matter how many times she runs straight into danger, reckless and desperate with a gun in her hand and legacy after mystery after life piled up on her shoulders, Nancy outlives them all.
She's grief personified in the body of a lonely teenage girl and basically what I'm saying is that, of everyone, Nancy can't die in season 5 because that's not her story.
Her story is in the burden of telling everyone else's, even if that means she never quite fully leaves Hawkins behind, even if that means she's the only one who can't quite leave Hawkins behind.
She's used to it, after all.
Being the only one left.

Baxter and Josh Beetlegeuse.
Junebug's younger brothers
Meet Junebug's younger brothers, Baxter and Josh. They're 14-year-old identical sync twins, but they do have their own defining traits that tell them apart. Baxter is more chill, and Josh is more rebellious. Baxter likes literature and chocolate ice cream, and Josh likes math and vanilla ice cream. Baxter is allergic to pineapple, and Josh is allergic to parsnips.
not even their parents could tell them apart half the time, so they dyed Baxter's blonde streak green and had them wear different colored pants and bow ties
They're basically Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter. XD
Josh also got his face cut pretty badly in a Sandworm attack, so now he has a scar over his eye that also defines him from his brother

Oh yeah I thought I'd ask: you said all the shadows are humans in that AU, with Jay being Joy's sister I believe? And of course Gold being Golden's grandpa's kid. So do you have ideas for the other shadows, like Fred, shadow Fox and shadow Cami? :0
hiii!!! yea! jay is joy's younger sister (for a year) and yeah!! i do have some ideas for the other shadows, but its a work in progress hehe
the one ive thought about more (besides gold and jay) is shadow fox!! (i.. have to think for names for them... even gold needs a different name lmao). he's fox and meg's cousin and he's an assholeeeeeee, so him and jay are close friends lmao they're kind of bullies but not to such an extreme degree. they're the kind of kids who will sideye you and make a joke at your expense once and then forget you exist. anyway, he meets gold through jay and he wants to date him. im still unsure if he genuinely has a crush on him or if he wants to get the family money lmao. he didn't even try with golden because jay would've killed him, because she has a one sided rivalry with golden where she wants to become more famous and successful than him, while golden thinks jay is too immature to handle a big following.
fox and s.fox have a baddddd relationship. the idea is that when meg and fox's parents died and their house burnt down, instead of going to the orphanage they moved in with their uncle and aunt. s.fox's parents are assholes. they didn't have a good relationship with meg and fox's parents in life, so they didn't want to take them in. they constantly complain about how they cant maintain 2 kids more, and blow up at the smallest mistakes or not-the-best attitude. s.fox took into this behaviour too, he was frustrated that he didnt have an escape from his parents anymore, and was now exposed to their verbal abuse all the time. but now that it was directed at meg and fox, s.fox was basically manipulated into believing that fox and meg are useless assholes. and when he heard that fox felt guilty for the accident he took that as admission of guilt. all of that + the fact he was frustrated and sad about his uncle and aunt dying made it so he became and asshole to the siblings, mostly fox. and he jsut grew up like that.
ok that was a lot uhh hes not an asshole to gold though he really likes the guy. he's constantly fluttering around him and hugging him and being all friendly and flirty and stuff, so cami HATESSS his ass lmao she gets pretty jealous. gold is not a big fan of s.fox hugging him or flirting and stuff but since he's a pushover he doesn't really say anything more than "stop 😐" and if he doesn't (which he usually doesn't bc, again, an asshole) he just deals with it. otherwise he thinks he's ok (gold doesn't know the whole drama between s.fox and fox, since fox avoids s.fox at all costs). anyways i have a sketch idea of his design
anyways. fred. freddy and him are twins! they get along fine, sometimes bother each other, usual siblings stuff. fred is part of the animatronics as the second voice and freddy plays the guitar. but fred realllyyyy wants freddy to also sing a little and have more presence on stage so he can get over his stage fright and general aversion to being seen. so whenever golden can't be around due to work he will be extremely happy because 1. he will be the main singer 2. he can force freddy to be his backup singer. so fred likes gold enough, because he takes golden away lmao. fred doesnt dislike golden or anything, maybe he's a little jealous but not so much that he hates him, he just sees him as a rock on his way to being the protagonist (and dragging freddy along). gold doesn't really like fred, because he has this weird attitude towards golden. gold has no strong feelings towards freddy, chica or fox tho, they seem ok.
as of shadow cami, i actually haven't thought of anything for her. I'm not even sure if I'll add her, since she was such a minor shadow. but maybe i will add her as a minor character, i thought perhaps cami's little sister, like 12 years old, because i like to think that shadow cami has a similar personality to cami when she was little, because she holds all that trauma, so i tend to think of her as smaller.
i also dont think ill include the fhsz3r0 shadows, like shadow bonnie and chica, because i dont want to have too many new characters, and since they probably wont interact with gold, who is the protagonist, idk if its worth it. but ill see!! i still have to expand the worlddddd
and i think thats all! thank u for the ask beloved mutual!!!! mwa
#fnafhs#fhs#mine#fhs human gold au#ask#multishipper-baby#how do i always end up making these so long thay they need a read more lmai

THT Redemption Arcs
I’m going to be running through some story and character analysis for THT in the weeks to come and I’m going to start out by talking a little bit about the difference in redemptive arcs. For those of you who aren’t clear about what a redemption arc is, it’s essentially a story line woven into your characters narrative to enable them to redeem themselves from previous questionable actions. There are some great examples in The Handmaids Tale, almost 100% of our characters are morally grey and they’ve all got a vivid history with a bit of baggage, so we’ve got a lot to choose from. Whenever a character performs a redemption arc, essentially 2 things need to happen for it to be considered complete: Firstly, your character has to truly be sorry and try and make amends. Secondly, other characters have to acknowledge that they are truly sorry and in some respects forgive them. We also have 2 different types of redemption arcs; slow and sudden. Basically, the character will either have an epiphany of all the crappy things that they have done and suddenly beg for forgiveness (usually at the last minute) OR said character will see the error of their ways through slow observation and work to be a better individual. With that in mind let’s take a look at some of our characters and see what kind of redemption arc they have.
Fred: Fred is one of the primary reasons that Gilead even exists, from the word go he was never getting a free pass no matter he did. For Fred, his Achilles heel is his quest for power which is constantly undermined by the impotence he feels at not being able to father a child. Freds desire for power fosters a sense of self entitlement that seeks to enslave June, while his impotence breeds an anger that alienates him from the woman who once loved him. His ego is ultimately his downfall and we see it in all its forms almost to his dying breath. While Fred may have acknowledged what he did was wrong, his attempt at redemption was driven purely by selfish motives and as a result the other characters did not forgive him. Fred attempted a sudden redemption arc and ended up doing an epic face plant. Instead of forgiveness he got an incredibly satisfying smack in the mouth and a “you had this coming” from Nick, and was hunted down and torn to shreds by the object of his desire. Redemption arc: Epic Fail. Result: some serious poetic justice.
Serena: Serena was Freds’ co conspirator so she’s responsible for some pretty heinous stuff, not to mention personally torturing the protagonist. She’s truly Machiavellian and consistently falls into the “sorry, not sorry” camp depending on what day of the week it is, making her attempt at a serious redemption arc difficult to swallow for anyone. Characters with the capacity for this much malice will generally perform a sudden redemption arc toward the end, finally achieving forgiveness, but sacrificing themselves as payment. Oddly the writers have chosen to engage Serena in a slow redemptive arc over the course of season 5, having swallowed some of her own poetic justice. I remain unconvinced, all this bonding with the protagonist, pouting and tears wont erase seasons of cruelty. Serena is a monster who's only sorry she lost her monster pal. Redemption Arc: still in progress, most likely successful. Most likely fatal
Aunt Lydia: Oh Dear. It’s hard to come back from shit this bad, but we know from The Testaments that our favourite super cuddly Aunt with a cattle prod, is due for a redemption arc. Watching The HMT and judging by The Testaments, it appears that she will be performing a slow redemption arc, which serves her purposes as she’s going to be busy working for the resistance. Ultimately the scales of justice demand balance and there’s no way the average viewer / reader would think that it’s a fair deal that she goes back to an ordinary life, once she’s served her purpose. Like Serena its justified she sacrifice herself as payment and there’s also the small matter of Aunt Lydia not being able to forgive herself. This brings me to Janine, I can definitely see Janine being a catalyst for Aunt Lydia’s break with Gilead. The nature of the protagonist in The Handmaids Tale is that she is a lone voice and as such June is what we refer to as “The Final Girl”, the last one left to tell the tale. This does not bode well for Janine. Redemption arc: Ultimately successful (in some respects).
Luke: Let’s face it, no matter which way you slice it, he’s no angel. He cheated on his wife and he left June and Hannah in Gilead because he was scared. What do these two things have in common? Leaving when the chips are down. From the description in Atwood’s text, Luke was always intended as a character who portrayed the casual misogyny that exists in the world. He’s been toned down somewhat for the show but it’s still there, lurking under the facade of our devoted “nice guy”. This is absolutely intentional, he’s described as a “good man” and he is, but there are plenty of times that he falls short and just doesn’t get it. He’s been performing a slow redemption arc over season 5 and it reached a crescendo in episode 10 at the train station when he sacrificed himself for the good of the protagonist. Most notable was the instance where he acknowledged her independence by using her maiden last name. He’s going to have to pay penance for the times he left though and thus the incarceration by Gilead forces. Redemption arc: Still in progress but promises to be successful.
Nick Blaine: I want to be honest about Nick, I love him but he’s done some bad shit. The writers have hinted as much and there’s plenty of evidence. Far from a clean well-mannered lawn boy, Nick Blaine is in fact, shady as fuck. This isn’t a mistake, after all, what good would a clean cut boy be to June when what she actually needed was a dodgy rebel to help her get things done in Gilead? When June says “he helped me to survive”, what she really means is that Nick was a navigator around all the dark dangers of Gilead and you don’t know about those unless you’ve seen them first hand. Nicks been performing a slow redemption arc since the end of season one. He was always good hearted, demonstrating loyalty to a broken family and looking openly distressed over the death of a handmaid. He’s also a bit of a rebel, he doesn’t follow the rules and doesn’t seem to quite fit in, all of this making him ultimately easier to welcome back to an ordinary life when he finally reaches the end of his journey. Nicks redemption arc is interesting because it not only requires other characters to forgive him, but he also needs to forgive himself. He’s been referred to as “a good man in Gilead” for a few seasons now, Tuello also called him “an honourable man”, but the reality is he’s still going to have to prove his loyalty by doing some time undercover. It's his penance. Ep 10 S5 saw Nick Blaine refer to himself as “Nothing”, he feels worthless and he’ll need to forgive himself before he can come home. For Nicks redemption arc to be considered complete he needs to step across the border and stay there. He needs to hold his daughter. Slow redemption arcs generally involve one last battle against your foe and Ep 10 S 5 saw Nick make preparations for his final battle against Gilead. The walk across the bridge in ep 10 and the deal with Tuello signified a redemption arc construct now fully fortified and nearing completion. Redemption arc: In progress. Promises to be successful. Promises to be fucking epic.
The majority of redemption arcs in THT are slow, the only time I’ve seen a sudden redemption arc attempted, it failed miserably. This says a lot about what the writers actually believe about the nature of redemption; anything less than something that you work towards every day, is an illusion. The writers have worked hard to maintain a level of reality and in the real world, people don’t just immediately forgive you because YOU decided to apologize. You need to earn their trust back and work hard to repair that wound. Sudden redemptive arcs are like the kiss of death, I can’t count the amount of times I’ve watched a character weep with remorse only to die seconds later. Slow redemptive arcs are a bit trickier, your character may survive it or not and this decision is based ultimately on how deep the wound they inflicted is.
