SHE/HER. ) in texas, FRANCINE WOLFF is more commonly known as FRANKIE. they’ve been living in stratford  for THIRTY YEARS and currently a PARAMEDIC. some say they are AMORAL & MEEK but i’m more inclined to believe those that say they’re UNPREDICTABLE & BENEVOLENT. if you walk by their house, you can sometimes hear UNDER THE GRAVEYARD by OZZY OSBOURNE playing from their window. ( trembling hands , blood stained uniform , torn up medical books , chipped nail polish )

✘ frankie has spent her entire life in stratford, for no other reason that she does not know where else to go. generations of her family have grown up here and never left – so why should she ?? she feels as if she’s stuck and should simply remain.

✘ with her father and grandfather being both deputies within the sheriffs department, along with her siblings as well,  frankie has always felt pressured by their reputation. especially with their very much outspoken hatred towards the gangs within town. perhaps it was her rebilious phase settling in, but she found herself drawn towards those groups. outlaws of any kind, really. anything that screamed the entire opposite of her family.

✘ frankie’s interest in medicine comes from an unusual source. she’s had a strange fascination with blood and violence from a young age. something about it simply just attracts her and she can’t particularly place a finger on it. in fact, the interest bothers her quite greatly at times. she tries her best to ignore it and tries to place it into a practical sense. which is why she chose to go into the field of EMS, she could fuel her obsession without anyone batting an eye, and at the same time she could help people.

✘ while frankie is a paramedic, she’s an incredibly corrupt one. a lot of her patients end up being criminals, a lot of the time in trouble with the law or hold the potential to be in some sort of trouble. she’s helped people escape custody at the hospital numerous times, failed to report things she should to the police, smuggle out medications and supplies from the hospital, and everything in between. she neither views her actions as right or wrong, she’s simply just helping out people when she can.

✘ a lot of her paramedic work also happens off duty, where she’s called into sketchy situations because people can’t go to the hospital in fear of being caught or questioned by the police. she can no longer keep track of the amount of times she’s had to stitch up someone in a poorly lit room with limited supplies at her disposable. but she does it every time, without question.

✘ [ DRUG TRIGGER WARNING ] while on the outside, frankie seems to handle her job just fine, more times than not she had to self-medicate in order to keep her nerves in check. she witnesses a lot of tragedy, death and grief in her lifetime and she has to keep her composure somehow. she refuses to believe she has an addiction, and for those who are aware of it she simply denies it all. her addiction has caused a near constant tremble in her hands, only disappearing when she’s hyper focused on her work. it’s a characteristic she tries to ignore, and shrugs her shoulders when pointed out.

✘ [ OVERDOSE TRIGGER WARNING ] unfortunately , after a particularly bad incident, frankie accidentally overdosed and landed herself in hospital for a short stint of time. her father, not wanting to have any shame or question directed towards his family, managed to keep the whole thing under wraps. a few people are aware of what happened, but for some reason of the other keep quiet about it. especially the person who found her [ yall im sorry but potential connection bye ] she took a brief break from her job whilst she was recovering, and for a lot of people her short disappearance is left unanswered. since the overdose she’s been sort of sober if you can even call it that. she’s been trying to keep things under control but ya gal ain’t so good at that.

✘ when she’s not doing EMS work, both on and off-duty, you’ll probably find her at a club or bar of some sort trying to wind down. it’s not so much about the drinking, she just likes to party and dance whenever she gets the chance. she’s pretty busy most of the time, and ends up taking a lot of night shifts, so partying isnt something she gets to do all the time. she can be quite shy sometimes so she needs a bit of a party setting in order to let loose and have some fun. is that troubling ?? maybe so, but she chooses to ignore it.

✘ horror movie fanatic. are we surprised ?? you’ll often find frankie locked up in her house, horror movies playing in the background. it keeps her sane and she would very much appreciate it if you don’t mention it. she finds it a little embarrassing sometimes. she’s very shy ALRIGHT.

✘ if you call her francine she might just cry. she hates it. only her family calls her that. if you’re special she MIGHT accept fran in a pinch but she always introduces herself as frankie. francine is reserved for family and legal documents alright.

wanted connections.:

✘ BLACKMAIL: [ OPEN ] someone who has gained the knowledge of her corrupted ways and is using it as a means to exploit her. whether it’s because they dislike her, they need information, or they are simply malicious and want to use it against her for their own needs and wishes. please for the love of god torture frankie goodbye  

✘ FIRST LOVE / FIRST HEARTBREAK: [ OPEN ]  because i am a hopeless romantic and also love angst, i demand some cute yet tragic love for frankie. am i lame and going to suggest it be a biker ?? maybe so, but i’m honestly down for civilians as well, whatever works out best !! i see this as someone she’s known for a good chunk of her life and the relationship may have been and off again and on again type of scenario. i also imagine they’re in the know of all her corrupt behavior within the EMS. idk man gimme angst so i can cRY

✘ EXES: [ OPEN ] even after her first heartbreak i imagine she’s dated around here and there. lots of opportunities for messy relationships with her busy work schedule and all the shady stuff she does on the sidelines.

✘ BEST FRIENDS / RIDE OR DIES: [ OPEN ] these would be the people she loves with her whole heart. she would do absolutely anything for them and literally commit crimes and risk her job for them. these could be childhood friends or simply friends she’s met along the way, even through her work ! especially her off-duty work

✘ FRIENDSHIPS: frankie needs friends ok pls she can be so sweet and loving and i just want her to drown everyone in platonic love and kisses 

✘ HOOKUPS / FWBS: [ OPEN ] listen…ya gal has needs. she has a very busy schedule and doesnt have a lot of time to date. she needs to let off some steam alright ok cool

✘ PATIENTS / WORK RELATED [ OPEN ]: frankie opens up her services to a lot of people. sometimes she gets paid, other times she’s just owed a favour – but most of the time she simply just does it to help out. i imagine a lot of these connections would be affiliated with the gangs. she’s very much neutral to both sides and tries to help out whenever she can.

✘ WORK CONNECTIONS [ OPEN ]: police, fire department, hospital workers PLEASE come give frankie some love cus i imagine they’d interact a lot based off of their careers.

Waar?  Tentoonstelling ‘Virtuoos! – Israels tot Armando’ in het Frans Halsmuseum, locatie Hal, Haarlem

Wanneer? 17 september 2019

Anton Heyboer schilderde talloze hanen, zoals deze uit ca. 1990. Met een paar verfvegen zette hij het dier op papier. Op het tekstbord bij dit werk, wordt een anekdote verteld over een andere kunstenaar. De Japanse schilder Hokusai kreeg ooit de opdracht om een haan te schilderen. Een jaar later komt de opdrachtgever langs om het werk op te halen. Hokusai pakt een kwast en papier en in enkele streken schildert hij het dier. De opdrachtgever vraagt hem verbaasd waarom hij een jaar op het werk heeft moeten wachten. Dan opent Hokusai een kast. Daarin liggen honderden hanen: allemaal voorstudies.

De tentoonstelling ‘Virtuoos!’ begon met de stelling dat virtuoos staat voor spontaan en meesterlijk. Het was mij niet echt duidelijk hoe je dat meesterlijke kon vaststellen. Welke criteria maken een kunstwerk ‘meesterlijk’. Ik concentreerde me de rest van de expositie dus op de andere poot: spontaniteit. Door het verhaal van Hokusai wordt nu ook aan deze poot van de virtuositeit gezaagd. Hoe spontaan is spontaan, als er honderden voorstudies nodig zijn om iets ‘spontaan’ op papier te zetten?

Stilleven met groot dood wild, vruchten en bloemen. Op een tafel voor een muur liggen een mand met druiven, perziken en pruimen, een opengesneden ree opgehangen aan een poot, de kop van een wild zwijn, artisjokken, een schaal met een kreeft en een bos asperges. Een katje gluurt naar de kreeft. Op de achtergrond links in de muur een nis met vaatwerk, rechts een nis met een boeket bloemen in een glazen vaas.

19 november 14.00 uur start bij Galerie Pictura een expositie getiteld “Winterkleuren”. Schilderijen van Gerard Huysman, Chris Nobels, Ahmad Haraji en Paul Wiegers. Prachtige sneeuwlandschappen en herfststemmingen in warme winterkleuren.

Naast deze kunstenaars zullen er veel werken van de voorgaande expositie “Realistische TOP” geëxposeerd blijven. Brita Seifert met haar pastel/kleurpotlood tekeningen waarin ze subtiel de emoties verwerkt. Hans Deuss schildert complexe werelden waar de toeschouwer als het ware in de sfeer moet duiken. De stilleven schilderijen van Lion A. Feijen en Marc van Crombrugge zijn traditioneel van zetting maar met een fabelachtige stofuitdrukking. Paul Wieggers schildert landschappen met prachtige lichtinvallen en behoort hiermee bij de top van Nederland, Dick van Heerde is wereldberoemd om zijn “wildlife” schilderijen en koeien van Ahmad Haraji zijn levensecht.

Ook de beeldhouwers zijn van internationale klasse. De beelden van Frans van Straaten stralen kracht en beweging uit in mooie sierlijke klassieke lijnen. En de vogel en stier brons sculpturen van Evert den Hartog zweven in de lucht of balanceren op een poot.

Xondra Tellerhaak Adem, dat had ze nodig. Maar onder water zag ze geen kans om aan die dringende behoefte te voldoen. Totdat ze haar narrow escape in een split second had gevonden. Ze stuwde snel naar het oppervlak en net toen ze dacht dat ze het alsnog niet zou gaan redden, keek de nevelige ochtendstond haar open en vrijpostig aan. Haar adem stokte heel even en toen zoog ze de bevrijdende zuurstof met een ferme stoot haar longen in. Heel langzaam blies ze uit via haar neus en een daarna de rest via haar mond. Ze voelde zich koud worden en nog erger…Ze voelde hoe ze langzaam verkrampte en terugzakte naar de bodem. Snel draaide ze op haar rug en probeerde zich te focussen op haar ademhaling. De kou begon in al haar vezels te trekken. Ze keek even achterom en zag een grote dikke tak op haar af komen. Kracht om die vast te pakken had ze niet meer, maar met twee trage slagen was ze wel in de goede richting gedreven. Aan de kant sprong er iemand bij haar in het water en plots lag ze op haar rug in het natte gras….Ze keek naar de grijze lucht en deed haar ogen dicht… Remlichten flitsten vlak voor haar op en in een reflex gooide ze het stuur om. Haar lichaam werd bruut in de gordels getrokken en haar spieren verstijfden. Het enige wat ze stevig vasthield was het stuur terwijl haar zicht ontnomen werd door een plof en een naar latex riekend kussen waar haar hoofd met een klap in terecht kwam. En weer terug stuiterde naar haar hoofdsteun. Ze voelde dat ze omhoog kwam en dat de oude Toyota begon te torsen. Ze was al haar oriëntatie kwijt en al hangend in de gordels voelde ze heel even instinctief dat er nergens meer contact was met de aarde. De harde klap kreeg ze al niet meer mee. Het koude water van de Moosmeeker plas bracht uitkomst. Ze realiseerde zich dat ze in het water lag en dat ze een levensbedreigend probleem had. De gordel was snel los…En terwijl het water tot haar lippen steeg draaiden er in haar hoofd plots duizenden alarmraderen die aangaven dat ze in een survivalmodus was beland. Ze realiseerde zich dat de ruimte in zeer snel tempo aan het vollopen was. Uiterst beheerst keek ze waar het water naar binnen kolkte en nam een laatste teug zuurstof, zette zich af tegen haar voorstoel en trapte de laatste stukken glas van de voorruit naar binnen toe…… Met piepende banden ging de blauwe werkbus er vandoor en Xondra vloekte heel even binnenmonds. Ze vloog naar haar eigen oude wagen en zette de lomp ogende Toyota razendsnel in de achteruit. In een flits was ze gekeerd en had ook nog in dezelfde recordtijd een blauw zwaailicht op haar dak geplakt. De bus vloog over het grillige zandweggetje en terwijl ze probeerde een kenteken te ontdekken had ze ook de centrale al te pakken. Verdomme, die gasten zouden haar niet ontsnappen. Ze zag dat een geschoten hert half uit de achterdeur van de bus hing en al met een poot over het pad sleurde. Een stofwolk veroorzakend die steeds groter werd naarmate er meer hert uit de bus kwam. Ze realiseerde zich dat….En toen viel het beest uit de bus. En gleed er nog een tweede dier met een best gewei achteraan. De bus remde….Xondra reageerde instinctief. Haar ogen gingen open en ze keek recht in de loop van een jachtgeweer. Haar lichaam was bedekt met een isolerende folie en de totale paniek bij de door haar achtervolgde prooi was groot. ‘ ze moet naar een ziekenhuis Huib, ze is onderkoelt en…’. Hou je bek Frans, ze is de vijand. Ze kan ons zomaar drie jaar de bak in laten draaien. ‘ Huib stond op en keek haar smerig aan….’Kom we gaan, voor de rest van de jachtopzieners is gearriveerd’. Frans schudde zijn hoofd en keek Xondra nogmaals vertwijfeld aan….Heel zachtjes zei hij sorry….En liep toen weg naar de bus. Ze hoorde het geluid van de diesel wegsterven en heel langzaam keek ze om zich heen. Had ze nou haar locatie doorgegeven? Ze wist het niet meer….Ze wist alleen dat ze het erg koud had en wilde haar ogen net weer sluiten toen ze opnieuw motorgeluid hoorde. Ze verwachtte een collega of iets van een ambulance….Maar het was de blauwe werkbus. Frans stapte uit en hielp haar op de been. ‘ Je moet zo snel mogelijk naar een ziekenhuis’, zei hij resoluut. Huib was nergens te bekennen…. Toen ze wakker werd lag ze in een smetteloos wit opgemaakt bed. Haar man zat naast haar en glimlachte opgelucht. Ben je er weer meisje? Hij kuste teder haar voorhoofd en keek haar toen liefdevol maar ernstig in de ogen. Alles komt goed meisje, alles komt goed lieve schat, prevelde hij en ging weer zitten. Ze glimlachte flauw en zag dat het gordijn opzij ging. Haar man knikte even naar de donkere gedaante aan haar voeteneind en stond toen op om afscheid te nemen. Zeg maar gewoon wat er gebeurd is liefje…Ze keek naar de vrouw die naast haar kwam zitten. Ik ben Rechercheur Anna Versluis…Ze haalde haar badge tevoorschijn en vervolgde met de woorden….Afdeling moordzaken! Klone

✘ [ DRUG TRIGGER WARNING ] while on the outside, frankie seems to handle her job just fine, more times than not she had to self-medicate in order to keep her nerves in check. she witnesses a lot of tragedy, death and grief in her lifetime and she has to keep her composure somehow. she refuses to believe she has an addiction, and for those who are aware of it she simply denies it all. her addiction has caused a near constant tremble in her hands, only disappearing when she’s hyper focused on her work. it’s a characteristic she tries to ignore, and shrugs her shoulders when pointed out.

✘ [ OVERDOSE TRIGGER WARNING ] unfortunately , after a particularly bad incident, frankie accidentally overdosed and landed herself in hospital for a short stint of time. her father, not wanting to have any shame or question directed towards his family, managed to keep the whole thing under wraps. a few people are aware of what happened, but for some reason of the other keep quiet about it. especially the person who found her [ yall im sorry but potential connection bye ] she took a brief break from her job whilst she was recovering, and for a lot of people her short disappearance is left unanswered. since the overdose she’s been sort of sober if you can even call it that. she’s been trying to keep things under control but ya gal ain’t so good at that.

✘ when she’s not doing EMS work, both on and off-duty, you’ll probably find her at a club or bar of some sort trying to wind down. it’s not so much about the drinking, she just likes to party and dance whenever she gets the chance. she’s pretty busy most of the time, and ends up taking a lot of night shifts, so partying isnt something she gets to do all the time. she can be quite shy sometimes so she needs a bit of a party setting in order to let loose and have some fun. is that troubling ?? maybe so, but she chooses to ignore it.

✘ horror movie fanatic. are we surprised ?? you’ll often find frankie locked up in her house, horror movies playing in the background. it keeps her sane and she would very much appreciate it if you don’t mention it. she finds it a little embarrassing sometimes. she’s very shy ALRIGHT.

✘ frankie is very much pansexual / bisexual. she always found herself attracted to people and their personalities ( and their looks obvi ). 

✘ if you call her francine she might just cry. she hates it. only her family calls her that. if you’re special she MIGHT accept fran in a pinch but she always introduces herself as frankie. francine is reserved for family and legal documents alright.

✘ first love / first heartbreak: [ OPEN ]  because i am a hopeless romantic and also love angst, i demand some cute yet tragic love for frankie. am i lame and going to suggest it be a biker ?? maybe so, but i’m honestly down for civilians as well, whatever works out best !! i see this as someone she’s known for a good chunk of her life and the relationship may have been and off again and on again type of scenario. i also imagine they’re in the know of all her corrupt behavior within the EMS

✘ exes: [ OPEN ] even after her first heartbreak i imagine she’s dated around here and there. lots of opportunities for messy relationships with her busy work schedule and all the shady stuff she does on the sidelines.

✘ best friends / ride or dies: [ OPEN ] these would be the people she loves with her whole heart. she would do absolutely anything for them and literally commit crimes and risk her job for them. these could be childhood friends or simply friends she’s met along the way, even through her work ! especially her off-duty work

✘ hookups / fwbs: [ OPEN ] listen...ya gal has needs. she has a very busy schedule and doesnt have a lot of time to date. she needs to let off some steam alright ok cool

✘ blackmail: [ OPEN ] someone who has gained the knowledge of her corrupted ways and is using it as a means to exploit her. whether it’s because they dislike her, they need information, or they are simply malicious and want to use it against her for their own needs and wishes. i’m very much open to whatever ideas for this one cus i just honestly want to torment frankie alright bye.

✘ patients / work related [ OPEN ]: frankie opens up her services to a lot of people. sometimes she gets paid, other times she’s just owed a favour -- but most of the time she simply just does it to help out. i imagine a lot of these connections would be affiliated with the gangs. she’s very much neutral to both sides and tries to help out whenever she can.

✘ work connections [ OPEN ]: police, fire department, hospital workers PLEASE come give frankie some love cus i imagine they’d interact a lot based off of their careers.

Hutton has a long history of adopting wayward children, feeding them, housing them, seeing them mentored and bettered and then setting them free... like baby birds xD he's a bleeding heart and this little lady ran into the half-man some years ago (3+). Down on her luck and living on the streets of San Fran. She was a child dumped into the foster care system and once she hit 18, was dumped like so many of them are. Never adopted and her family was a rag-tag group of kids that no one wanted, with her at the helm. She was a junkie then, someone who needed a helping hand and Hutton did what he always does; scooped her up and saw her scrubbed behind the ears.

This wasn't a sudden or quickly formed relationship.

She showed spunk and a determination that Hutton couldn't ignore and it was that more than anything that lead them together. Hutton is a man of information, he also steals back stolen goods for those connected to, or willing to pay the black market. This little lady stole something that didn't belong to her, which lead him on a merry little chase until he found her hidey-hole, a little nest among the underbelly where she felt safest. Winning her trust was nothing easy but he would eventually, seeing her to his home where he oddly wanted nothing from her. Confused, she stuck it out for a few days, with Hutton and his husband of several centuries, Silvo. The pair would offer her calm and a certain amount of cheeky adventure, as Hutton dragged her out to work with him, and she'd eventually loosen her grip on the need to flee.

Deposited in one of the covens and Hutton and Silvo became her devoted father-figures and biggest cheerleaders. Her magic (one power will need to be Spatial Manipulation) was honed and with Hutton's extensive library (and later Silvo's status as a dean), she was seen to the finest education after the fact, that anyone could ask for. Smart and witty they get on like peas in a pod. Hutton still bails her out though he has also taught her over the years how to better sneak herself about the city and borrow what she needs without getting herself caught. She'll still always have a home amongst the books, and a warm cup of tea waiting when she needs it.

Hutton's house is highly warded and expanded on the inside (hence her one power) but beyond this, it's her home and will always be open to her, as will everything Hutton has. He is still collecting kids so she'll be called in every now and then to ward them so they can come and go from the house (it's warded to allow people in, but not out). She's also free to mentor and do as she wishes. Hutton's bleeding heart will make sure she'd well provided for, and whether she lives with them still or if she's moved out, is up to you. His house is huge and with her power she can easily create her own room within his already sprawling abode.
