Crochet Mandala Recommendations for Free Patterns
Crochet Crowder’s Choice for Mandala Designers
Designing Crochet Mandalas are really tough, I won’t deny it. To get the stitch counts right so the project lays flat is nearly a miracle or just a fluke. There is a science to it and once a designer has the tricks up their sleeve, it’s amazing what can be accomplished.
We asked crocheters on the The Crochet Crowd Stitch Social Group to recommend designers that they have physically done a pattern from.
Here are the recommendations that were emailed to me. Notice, I have put the recommendations by the designer as some of the designers listed below have oodles of patterns. Some are free, some are paid.
I did look at the pricing for the patterns. Completely reasonable. I am not kidding when I say how tough mandalas are to design. They are worth the investment of purchasing a pattern.

Click the pic of the designer. It will take you directly to their sites. Some are Ravelry and some are their own websites. The list is in order of the emails I opened, not in order of who is the best because if you can design a mandala, that makes you a rockstar in crochet automatically!
