Many who ship Alba/Lidia/Carlos hated the fourth and last released season of Las Chicas del Cable mostly due to the final, such as a lot of people who love Alba/Lidia/Francisco (including me) didn’t appreciate the third one… I have to disagree in both cases, especially the latter. One of my favorite scenes between Alba/Lidia and Francisco is precisely this. The sixth episode of the third season starts where this scene I edited ended… and yes, after the kiss, Alba/Lidia said Francisco that it was a mistake… yet, I can’t help but think that all the sequence - beginning (in 3x05) and end (in 3x06) - is beautiful every time I watch it, as far as that sentence pains me. On my opinion, all seasons are spectacular. I didn’t like Alba/Lidia/Carlos (… well, I used to do, the first time I saw this show, then - after the last rewatch - I fell in love with Alba/Lidia/Francisco), but I don’t hate Carlos either. Yes, I will be a little bit disappointed if Alba/Lidia should be endgame with him and not with Francisco. This doesn’t mean I’ll hate all or something. I just need Francisco to be with Alba/Lidia for the rest of their life, no matter how… even as simple friend, while she’s still married to Carlos.

It will always kill me how much desperate is Alba/Lidia in this scene: she wants to hold Francisco’s hand, but she has to stop herself from doing it because of Carlos sitting next to her... and when he’s outside the room - he’s not, but she thinks so - she can't control herself any longer. I liked Carlos and Alba/Lidia together, but... it’s so obvious (at my eyes, at least). Alba/Lidia can always keep control of her feelings when she’s with Carlos. When she’s with him, she’s not one hundred percent in that relationship. Yet, when she’s with Francisco... she runs amok. She feels lost without him. That’s why she does need him in any way in her life - as lover or as friend... it doesn’t matter how. On my opinion, Francisco is essential to Alba/Lidia as Carlos won’t ever be. Important, indeed... but not essential.

Hi! I'm sorry, but I haven't read any Alba/Lidia/Francisco fanfictions yet. I would wanted to help you, though. I am going to start reading them too... I hope to find something good on Ao3. Anybody here can recommend us?
