Canon blood types: Gotham
Note that the following information is not medically accurate and should not be taken as any kind of medical advice. Copious amounts of comic book medicine and biology abound here.
The Joker is a compatible blood donor for Alfred Pennyworth. —The Brave and the Bold (1955) #141
Bruce is a compatible blood donor for Andrew Bennett. —The Brave and the Bold #195
Kirk Langstrom and Francine Langstrom have the same blood type. —Detective Comics #429
Helena Bertinelli has a rare blood type, the same as Guido Bertinelli. —The Huntress (1989) #6
In the DC Animated Universe, Dick has O+ blood. —Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero
In the DC Animated Universe, Barbara Gordon has AB- blood. She has the same rare blood type as Nora Fries, wife of Mr. Freeze. —Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero
In the New Earth timeline, Dick Grayson is a compatible blood donor for Bruce Wayne. —Batman/Nightwing: Bloodborne
Crystal Brown is a compatible blood donor for Stephanie Brown. —Batgirl (2009) #24
Jason Todd has O- blood. —Detective Comics #1032
In the Prime Earth timeline, Dick Grayson has O- blood. —Nightwing (2016) #124
All blood types can help save lives. Consider seeing if blood donation is possible for you. (And like. Don't feel obligated to use blood type superiority to hype your blorbo.)
Bruce Wayne
Batman (2016) Annual #3 possibly suggests (but does not confirm!) that Bruce could have type O- blood.
Tumblr media
Batman (2016) Annual #3, written by Tom Taylor - Batman is seriously wounded in the field. Alfred performs a blood transfusion with a supply of type O- blood.
Type O- blood can be donated to patients with any blood type. Batman might be keeping a supply of O- blood not for himself specifically, but for anyone in need of an emergency blood transfusion. We can't conclude that Bruce must have O- blood.
Tumblr media
The Brave and the Bold (1955) #195, written by Mike W. Barr - Batman donates blood to his friend, a heroic vampire named Andrew Bennett, who shielded him from a silver bullet.
Dick Grayson
In Batman/Nightwing: Bloodborne, we learn that Dick Grayson can donate blood to Bruce Wayne.
Tumblr media
Batman/Nightwing: Bloodborne, written by Kelley Puckett - Batman is infected with a deadly virus and then taken captive. To save him, Nightwing takes an dangerous experimental vaccine that prompts his body to produce virus-fighting antibodies. Hours later, after Nightwing finds Batman, Nightwing undergoes a "complete blood transfusion" to deliver his antibody-rich blood into Batman's body, while Nightwing receives Batman's virus-laden blood.
In Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero (part of the DC Animated Universe), Dick has O+ blood. O+ is the world's most common blood type; about 40% of the population has O+ blood. O+ blood can be donated to people with any "+" blood type (including A+, B+, AB+, and O+)—about 85% of the total population. O+ patients can only receive blood transfusions from O+ and O- donors.
According to Nightwing (2016) #124, Dick has the universal donor blood type, O-.
Tumblr media
Jason Todd
In Detective Comics #1032, Hush finds that Jason Todd has O- blood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Detective Comics #1032, written by Peter J Tomasi - Hush captures several Batfamily members, and attempts to steal and sell their organs as revenge against Bruce. Hush begins with Red Hood, and confirms that Jason has type O- blood.
Type O- blood is the universal donor type. This kind of blood can be donated to patients with any blood type. (Recall Mad Max: Fury Road.) People with O- blood can only receive blood transfusions from other O- donors. About 6.6% of people in the USA have O- blood.
Barbara Gordon
This canon is valid for the DC Animated Universe. Barbara may or may not have a different blood type in the comics.
Tumblr media
Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero - Barbara Gordon is listed as having AB- blood in Gotham General Hospital's database of blood donors. She is also a compatible organ donor (HLA match) for Nora Fries; and so Mr. Freeze kidnaps Barbara in hopes of performing a life-saving heart transplant for Nora.
For the sake of the plot, Nora needs a transplant from an organ donor with her same rare blood type. In real life, an AB- patient could receive organs from a donor with AB-, A-, B-, or O- blood, as long as the HLA typing matches (read more about that here).
Type AB- blood is the rarest ABO/Rh blood type worldwide; only 0.6% of people have this blood type in the USA. People with AB- blood can receive any Rh negative blood (including A-, B-, AB-, and O-); about 15% of the population has Rh negative blood that can be donated to AB- patients. People with AB- blood can only donate red blood cells to people with AB- and AB+ blood—about 4% of the population. However, type AB is especially valuable as the universal blood plasma that can be donated to patients of any blood type—and so people with type AB blood are often urged to consider donating blood plasma.
Stephanie Brown and her mother, Crystal Brown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Batgirl (2009) #24, written by Bryan Q Miller - Batgirl (Stephanie Brown) is poisoned with Black Mercy spores. She wakes up days later in West Mercy Hospital. Her mother, Crystal Brown, a nurse, donated her blood to help flush the spores from Steph's system.
We know that Crystal can donate to Steph, but we don't know whether Steph would or wouldn't be able to donate to Crystal. Parents and their children don't always share the same blood type. (This also means that Damian doesn't necessarily have the same blood type as Bruce.)
The Joker and Alfred Pennyworth
Tumblr media
The Brave and the Bold (1955) #141, written by Bob Haney - The Joker tricks Alfred Pennyworth into drinking exploding juice. The Joker drinks anti-exploding juice. Batman forces the Joker to donate his anti-exploding clown blood to Alfred.
Helena Bertinelli
Tumblr media
The Huntress (1989) #6, written by Joey Cavalieri - Helena Bertinelli has been captured by villains who wish to open the locked vault of her late father, Guido Bertinelli. The lock can only be opened using a sample of Guido's blood type. This blood type is so rare that the villains could not find any in the local blood bank at that time—and so they decided to capture Helena as their "fresh supply".
Helena possibly has AB- blood, the rarest blood type. This is the same blood type that Barbara has in the DC Animated Universe.
In the 1990s, Helena's father's name was retconned to be named Franco Bertinelli. Then Huntress: Cry for Blood revealed that Helena's biological father is not Franco, but instead Helena's mother's lover from the Cassamento crime family. In the end, all our information about Helena's blood type may be invalid and apocryphal.
The Langstroms
Tumblr media
Detective Comics (1937) #429, written by Frank Robbins - Francine Lee Langstrom has transformed into She-Bat after secondhand exposure to her husband's bat serum and then being bitten by vampire bats in a cave in Nevada. Her husband, Kirk Langstrom (Man-Bat), says his blood type is the same as hers, and so he offers to donate his blood to help treat her.

why do i never see anyone talk about fucking man-bat. not even avid monsterfuckers will talk about it. 😒
It's because Francine Langstrom has such a strong energy about her that I'm frightened to mention fucking her husband in case I wake up like the dad from Audition with her sticking needles into my flesh 💀💀

Batman: The Animated Series - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Francine Langstrom
Zoologist, Dr. Francine Langstrom, worked alongside her husband, Kirk Langstrom, and her father, Professor March, at the Gotham Zoo.  The three of them were convinced that imbuing humans with the genetic material of bats was essential for ensuring mankind longterm survival.  Although Francine was disabused of this notion when her husband was transformed into the creature known as Man-Bat.
While Francine and Kirk focused their work in other directions, Francine’s father secretly continued to labor on a means of altering the human genome to incorporate features from bats.  His work resulted in an accident where Francine was unknowingly exposed to the Man-Bat serum.  This caused her to periodically transform into a bat-like creature.  Unlike her husband, Francine had no memory of the transformations.  At first she believed that the return of the Man-Bat was her husband and, in a fit of anger, she left Kirk and boarded a flight out of town.
Francine transformed in the Man-Bat (or She-Bat) as the plane took off, opening the emergency exit and flying off into the night.  The airplane was able to make an emergency landing and Batman intercepted the She-Bat near the Gotham bridge. Following a struggle, Batman was able to administer as antidote causing Francine to transform back into her human state.
Francine and Kirk reconciled and Professor March was finally convinced to abandon his pursuit of creating man/bat hybrids.
Actress Meredith MacRae provided the voice for Francine Langstrom with the character first appearing in the second episode of the first season of Batman: The Animated Series, ‘On Leather Wings.’

Doctor Francine Langstrom, everybody.
I love her.
(I’m less ride or die for Kirk, but put Francine, Becky and/or Aaron in a story and I am THERE)

ABSOLUTELY NEATO, YES
I think the Scarecrow deserves to be the main villain of a live action Batman movie.
We know DC is obsessed with Batman’s early days, so instead of having the Joker be the antagonist for the twentieth time, let Johnathan Crane have a shot.
Batman and Scarecrow have interesting parallels. Both structured their personas around their childhood fears (Bats and crows respectively), such fears being associated with family member(s) that shaped their development (Thomas & Martha Wayne and Johnathan’s grandmother). They developed these identities as a way “conquering” these fears.
Using Scarecrow’s fear toxin to show us Bruce’s origin would be much more dynamic than having the audience sit through 19 minutes of baby Bruce again.
Now, I don’t think the concept *needs* a secondary villain, but I’ve made a point that with Batman’s eminence rouges gallery that his movies should feature two. So I think that Kirk Langstrom, Man-bat (Or perhaps Francine Langstrom as She-bat for variety), could be a good partner. This could force Bruce to face his trauma on two fronts, along with the nice similarity of both villains being scientists.
But them being just a mindless monster that just happened to show up doesn’t have much cohesion. So maybe the more intentional and evil variant should be used, but I think having Scarecrow manipulate/sabotage them to force the mutation, so Batman would have to face his fears head on, would be best.

Batman Villain Movie Ideas, Part V: Man-Bat
Kirk Langstrom AKA the Man-Bat is a scientist who was experimenting with bat DNA (different versions have different reasonings), ended up injecting himself with it, and turned into a six-foot monster bat creature. Basically, the Lizard, but with less of a natural reason to be fooling around with the bat DNA. He fits well into a schlock monster movie type of thing, putting Batman up against a monster he can just fight instead of a person he has to outwit. Throughout the series, Kirk's wife Francine has also undergone the transformation multiple times.
Origin Movie: Well, the Animated Series started with Man-Bat, so I guess it can be done. And I suppose the Andrew Garfield movies started with Lizard (though that proved a bit of a detriment as Dr. Connors's family, the thing that made him compelling, got cut for time to focus on Peter's story, and I imagine the same would happen here).
Sequel Movie: Much like previous villains, putting Man-Bat in a sequel setting gives you better pacing to tell Bruce's story in the first movie, and then give Kirk's room to breathe in the second. Also, a distinct angle Man-Bat presents is an inherent resemblance to Batman, meaning that Man-Bat attacking people could do damage to an established Batman's reputation and make him a wanted man.
Finale Movie: The trouble with Man-Bat as a finale is that, when in Man-Bat form, he is functionally a mindless monster, and that's hard to make compelling for the big bad to end the series. I suppose you could then crank up the monstrous factor. Also, the Man-Bat Commandoes that certain other villains have created could be an excellent alternative.
Supporting Villain: Making a major villain be the one behind Man-Bat's creation is a natural fit. I wouldn't put it past someone like Ra's al-Ghul or the Joker. It might even be a proto-venom setting up Bane for a future movie. And then we could have Man-Bat and She-Bat working together, or the Man-Bat Commandoes. Lots of options there.
Here's my rankings of them all:
Sequel Movie: That Batman mistaken identity factor. That has possibilities.
Supporting Villain: Having him lead up to something else works well.
Finale Movie: Purely for the Man-Bat Commandoes.
Origin Movie: We've seen in real time the problem with doing a villain like him in an origin.
What do you think? Who should I cover next?

I just realized I haven’t talked that much about The Gotham Archives au
So here’s some alignments and roles that the characters have
Music Meister: avatar of the Slaughter. Former member of Grifter’s Bone and never really got over it
The Riddler: avatar of the Web but somehow still terrified of spiders.
Robert “Kirk” Langstrom: avatar of the Hunt. He was supposed to be prey, yet he became the predator
Francine Langstrom: hasn’t been claimed by anything but is the resident expert of the fears. The Desolation and the Eye are rather fond of her
Poison Ivy: avatar of the Extinction but she’s also very close with Corruption, and is the closest to completing a ritual
Mr Freeze: avatar of the Lonely and hates it. He hates being cold and alone and his memory of warmth and love slowly fading away
Nora Fries: avatar of the Eye. While she’s in the coma she still haunts peoples nightmares, trying to find a way to return.

solution- threeway with francine and manbat
Agreed, but Manbat is getting ball-gagged because that high-pitched screaming is NOT gonna be an acceptable factor in the shagging scenario. Fuck off with that, Kirk! I will attach a car battery to his entire furry ballsack and go to town.

The Pizza Delivery Girl's Survival Guide to Gotham City Update
Pairing: Jason Todd x Reader
Newest chapter
AO3 Link
Summary:
People who lived outside of Gotham City would most often think of it in terms of its heroes and villains. About Batman and Robin, Joker and Harley Quinn.
People who actually live in Gotham City would only think of one thing: surviving.
Who cares about the people in costumes when your house has been bombed for the fifth time, or your wife has been taken hostage just because she worked in a bank?
Or, in your case, when you have to make regular deliveries to places where even Batman feared to tread?
Because let's face it. In a world full of superheroes and costumed villains, the real heroes are the ones who make sure that people get their pizzas in forty-five minutes or less.
Chapter Preview:
You paused on the bridge that hung high above the Burrow, and for the first time in your life, you felt a terror was so great that it made your throat close.
Gotham City had never looked so beautiful. From such a height, the burning neon lights looked like stars.
But above your head, the sky looked pitch black. It made you think of the bodies that would sometimes wash up on Gotham Bay’s shores, black and bloated with rot. It made you think of  the shadows of inmates in the asylum, their voices like the skittering of insects, rising and falling as you passed them by.
It made you think of the night Timothy Young died, and you wondered that if, back then, there had been light enough that he saw the shadow of a monster fall over him.
You wondered if he had time to understand what was happening, before he started against the concrete below. And then decided decided that it didn’t matter: you would understand If Francine Langstrom came for you, you would know.
You would understand what was happening to you before you hit the ground.
Your skull splitting open, the pink-grey ropes of your brain scattering on the concrete. And the thousand pictures that follow. Your death turned into a spectacle and a profit.
Just like Tim Young’s.
The thought made you freeze. You were standing in front of one of the many wooden bridges that connected the rooftops of abandoned buildings. The Burrow’s infamous floating night market. Set up by dusk and torn down by dawn, only to rise up again the next night, the floating night market was one of the Burrow’s main attractions. A bustling collection of kiosks made out of cheap plywood and tarpaulin, it was said that you could find anything there, so long as you didn’t ask too many questions: cheap phones, likely stolen from someone off the street, fake licenses, a sample of Bane’s Venom for impatient bodybuilders. It was set high up in the air, amidst the rooftops of many abandoned buildings, connected by a series of rickety wooden bridges.
But now the rooftops were empty. The bridges were falling apart, its wooden planks dangling precariously from their ropes. The empty kiosks had been left to rot in the constant rain. You could even see some of the abandoned merchandise, left behind  in people’s haste to pack up: an old, broken phone, children’s toys hanging forlornly on strings, obviously meant to be prizes in a game, now swelling with rainwater. Mold grew on their cotton bodies like new fur.
Timothy Young’s death had transformed the Burrows’ floating night market into a ghost town. The thought made you feel a little lonely, picking through the bones of a dead market, looking to find a monster.
Francine, The voice in your head sounded like Professor Langstrom’s. Her name is Francine Langstrom.
The buzz of static cut through your thoughts as cleanly as a falling blade. And then Jason’s voice was in your ear.
“Last chance to back out of this.”
His voice was rough, even taking into account the poor connection and the voice modulators he used. Maybe he was scared, too. The thought eased you somewhat, to know that you were not alone.
Even through the poor connection, you could hear the strain in his voice. You cast a glance at the direction where he was supposed to be, tried to look for even a hint of him: the faint glow of his helmet, the hulking figure of his silhouette. But you found no sign of him. Still, knowing that he was there made you feel better.
You raised a hand and hoped that he would not see the way your fingers trembled.
And waved.
