Wild: So, did everyone learn their lesson? Wind: No. Sky: I did not. Hyrule: I may have actually forgotten one. Rinku: Also no. Wild: Oh good, neither did I. Four: *Exhausted sigh*

Wow guys it’s really been a while since I posted something of my own 😭
Here’s an apology wip! I’m done with school here in a few weeks so after that I’ll be writing more I promise!
As always, if anyone has requests feel free to send em in!
~~~~
He finds the group easily enough, gathered awkwardly in the main hallway just outside the mess hall.
“Morning, Fo-” Wars cuts off, ogling at him.
“What?” He says self consciously, the others turning, too, now.
“You’re wearing one color.” Twi points out.
“Yeah? So?”
“We’ve only ever seen you wear four- this is weird.” Wars laughs.
Legend walks in a slow circle around him, squinting suspiciously. “Who are you and what have you done with the real Four?”
“Oh, hardy har.” He grumbles, but he’s smiling.
Zel gives a small laugh, brushing his shoulder to get his attention.
“I have to go see Father, I’ll see you later.”
“Yeah, if we have time.” He says, nodding.
“That was an order.”
He smiles as he bows. “Of course, your highness.”
Zelda gives him one more smile before walking down the hall, leaving him with his friends.
The LU Chain vs Therapy
Why would I need therapy? I'm perfectly fine!: Wind, Hyrule
Therapy? I don't need that! I'll be fine after I spend some time out in the woods and maybe destroy some things!: Hyrule, Wild, Twilight
I mean I definitely need help but I don't think a therapist is gonna fix me: Legend
I don't care if I need it. I'm not going and you can't make me: Warriors, Legend
Maybe I used to need it, but I've worked things out myself and am just fine for it: Time
I do my own therapy. I journal, meditate, and take care of myself just fine: Four, Sky
I am actively going to therapy: Warriors (his Zelda did make him)
The Chain on a road trip
Car Diagram (design by @esthelle-wanders)
Tumblr media
Time: You’d think he’d be the driver, but everyone has chosen life instead. Sits right behind the driver though. Typically reading. He either acts as a barrier between the front seat and the back, or actively encourages the shenanigans going on behind him (he never adds to them, only eggs on). He just stands at the door at rest stops to keep track of everyone (he LOVES those pink marshmallow/coconut things though, and gets one at every stop they make)
Wars: actual Designated Driver. Only one that can focus on the road with the ChaosTM that goes on behind him. If he’s in a hurry he can be snippy about pit stops taking too long, but usually gets excited about them like everyone else.
Twi: Sits next to Time. They have relatively sane discussions. Twilight is either actively keeping order in the back, or staring out the window in contemplation. He’s the one who fills the car with gas/washes the windows at rest stops.
Sky: Asleep. The whole time. Even through some pit stops. Will wake up long enough to add something EXTREMELY disturbing to the conversation and then immediately fall back asleep. LOVES road trip snacks.
Wild: Sits next to Wind and has chaotic (and mostly unsettling) conversations. He’s not allowed to go off on his own at pit stops because of too many “accidents” that have happened in the past. In charge of car snacks.
Legend: Navigator. Only because he would heavily backseat drive anyways if not given the role. He has a backpack filled with stuff that people may need (coins for tolls, water bottles, Dramamine for car sickness, etc.) Let’s NO ONE else touch the aux. Takes the longest at pit stops because he actually looks at (and buys) the weird tchotchkes.
Hyrule: He also stares out the window, but to actually watch the scenery. Or he’s leaning over Wild’s chair (or Four) to participate in the conversation in front of him. Also not allowed to go off on his own at pit stops, more due to getting very distracted. He was left at a gas station once, and has not been let out of sight since.
Four: Gets placed in the back middle (short legs) and is very salty about it. Has earbuds in if there’s no conversation, listening to audiobooks. He always brings a craft or something of the like to do while they’re driving. Never listens to Time or Twi when they’re lecturing the backseat (he assumes, mostly correctly, that it’s not for him).
Wind: Can never sit still for very long, usually the one calling for a pit stop. Keeps the conversation going. Knows a lot of road trip games, and starts sing along a with the music. LOVES stopping for fast food. He explores the WHOLE of the area around the gas station. Never gets lost (unlike Hyrule)
BONUS
Fi: the navigation assistant. Sky is the only one that can make it work consistently and has to be woken up to fix it
Chain reading day 📚
Tumblr media
After a week, 28 hours of work, the last 8 hours of which I had to work with impaired vision because my glasses broke, I finally finished!
It's impressive considering that the longest drawing I've done so far took about 7 hours
I know it's not that good, but this helped me a lot to test how much I can handle and see where I most need to improve!
Anyway, I hope you like it ;)
Rude Four Headcanon
I really like the aus where at the end of Four Swords the colors don’t become one again and they start a found family situation.
So imagine that right- the colors never went back and have spent the last 5 or so years growing into their own people. They get their own hobbies, their own lives, and… their own aesthetics!
Blue gets muscular, Green gets tan, Red dyes his hair, Vio wears heels. I think despite looking identical in features they would eventually start looking a bit different as they grow up.
As just mentioned, Blue has more bulk than the others, maybe he wears his hair shorter. Green spends a lot of his time outside training so he gets tanner than the rest. On the other hand Vio spends most his time indoors so he’s really pale. The heels also make people assume he’s like 5 inches taller than he is. After Red dyes his hair the rest like that idea so they all dye theirs too.
Eventually they all look so different people don’t even think they came from the same person unless they look really close.
When the Four Sword calls again they don’t know what will happen but of course they all go with courage, it’s their unifying shared trait after all.
And they become Link again for the first time in years and…
They have their original hair color and complexion. They’re short and only moderately muscular. Four’s complexion has evened out into something pale-ish (Vio bringing down the curve fr). And…
Their hair had all been so differently done from one another, varying in length and style. Apparently fused together it makes… a fuck ass bob.
Four feels weird being one person again but when he first looks in a mirror he only really has one feeling. He NEEDS scissors stat. Before he can do a thing about it the portal swallows him.
(The other heroes just really think he was into the hero of men. They all respectfully don’t mention the fact they all think that Four is constantly cosplaying. Four dies inside every time he has a chance to get a good look at his hair. It’s so blunt… not even layered. He never gets a chance to fix it.)
(When he reunites with Shadow the shade cry laughs at him until he realizes that whatever Four does reflects onto him. Commence Shadow chasing Four with scissors)
(When Four is finally able to split at some point all of the colors immediately are like: “we didn’t chose the haircut”)
I’m gonna be honest, I never really vibed with Four’s haircut and it’s made me genuinely feel guilty. It’s grown on me over time but it did take some time 💔
Thanksgiving Headcanons
Time: not allowed near the kitchen whatsoever. In charge of wrangling small children and setting up tables and chairs. Naps after meal.
Warriors: in charge of decorations and setting up games. He enjoys playing Twister when Wind doesn't play.
Twilight: Helping with tables and chairs, and occasionally food. Can't figure out how he's lost to Sky in uno 12 times at this point.
Sky: didn't even know how to play uno before twi asked to play. He helps make food and decorate. Many naps for the sleepy boy.
Legend: Helping make food, but often ends up patching up small burns and cuts from kitchen mishaps. Also good at Twister, and has been laughing at twi for the past 20 minutes as he keeps loosing to Sky.
Four: Many hands make light work, so they say. Four is running any last-minute errands or doing small, forgotten tasks. They'd fall apart without him. He prefers playing clue but enjoys holding the spinner for Twister.
Wild: Master chef, coming through! When he's not cooking in the kitchen, though, he's probably wrestling with Wind or trying to distract twi from his uno game.
Hyrule: not allowed anywhere near the kitchen. He and Wind draw place cards and help set the table. He's very partial to any sweet treats available.
Wind: Also not allowed in the kitchen. He's hyped on sugar halfway into the day, and when he plays Twister, he pokes peoples tummies to make them fall over.
No family drama here, no disapproving family members, no arguments, just silly family fun for the holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope your day is as wonderful as you are <3
WIP Wednesday!
Worlds away, a woman leaned over a chair, staring hard at the screen before her. A gloved hand gripped the chair, its synthesized material folding under duress. Below her, two Loporrits—the moon’s rabbit-like inhabitants—typed away furiously on the keyboards before them, text scrolling on their individual screens at high speed. “Fiona?” one of the Loporrits asked, pausing their typing to look up at the woman. “Is something the matter? You can understand them, yes?” Fiona licked her lips, brown eyes still locked on the screen, searching. She hummed an affirmative before suddenly surging forward, pointing. “Wait—stop the feed! Go back, to the short one!” The other Loporrit’s ears perked and they wound a dial backwards. The screen paused and the video rewound until it came to a stop centered on the young man in the quad-colored tunic. Under Fiona’s grip, the chair made a deathly creaking noise. Its occupant looked at the chair and up at Fiona, ears drawn back in alarm. A complicated expression fell over Fiona’s face—cold steel mourning. “Four…” she muttered. “They called him ‘Four.’” The Loporrit below glanced between her and the screen. “Do…you know him?” Fiona took a deep, calming breath, finally relaxing her death grip on the chair, although her teeth worried at her lips. “…Get Jammingway here as soon as possible. We need to talk to those boys now. They could be in grave danger.” With an exaggerated salute, the Loporrits resumed their typing, pulling up new screens and sending summons to their far-away compatriot. Meanwhile, Fiona’s eyes drifted not to the young man on the screen, but to the ground beneath his feet and the absence that had caught her eye immediately—a missing shadow. Like an Ascian, she thought. The Fourth.
