The Fortnite Festival subreddit is so miserable for no reason every single time they add a song to the game and it isn't Metallica they act like God has abandoned them. Even though there's already so many Metallica songs in the game, because there was an entire Metallica themed season already, and all of the Metallica songs are like 7 minutes long so you'd think that what they have should have been lasting them a while
#i made this joke during the season in question but every metallica song is truly just like#*2 minute guitar section* IM GOING TO KILL YOUUUUU *2 minute guitar section*#but not as interesting as that sounds.#mypost#Also I only go on the fortnite festival subreddit to check the song announcements.#Which are on tuesday so I don't know why I checked today. They don't discuss leaks I think. So there's no miku speculation.

Oct - Dec 2023 Devil May Cry News Updates: Peak of Combat, Teasers, Rumours, Etc.
Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all had a SSSmokin' SSSexy SSStylin' holiday. Here's hoping this year brings more Devil May Cry goodness. Here are the rest of 2023's news updates on what's happening with Devil May Cry.
1. Capcom is getting stingy about mods. b) So stingy in fact that they're taking down Youtube vids of mods in their games.
2. Gamescom interview about Peak of Combat. b) And more content from the game such as dev notes, gamepad support, new character reveals, official OSTs, and release date.
3. Another Devil May Cry expansion for the mobile game Teppen.
4. Devil May Cry V has sold over 7 million units.
5. A small glimpse on what's in store for the Netflix series.
6. Former Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya talks at the Archipel Caravan Festival in Tokyo about DMC1's development, with former Resident Evil director/producer Shinji Mikami (can't find the video, so this link will have to do).
7. Dante's and Nero's face models Adam Cowie and Karlo Baker tease us with a little future Devil May Cry news.
8. Rumours of Dante appearing in Fortnite anytime soon due to a loading screen speculation, and some infamous leaker.
My Thoughts On These Updates:
It's really too bad what Capcom thinks of mods. I get it when it comes to inappropriate eye candy and overpowering everything to make things easy, but they need to realize that mods aren't just about those. Mods are also a way of building a community of like-minded and talented individuals, and they should also think of mods as some form of resume if they're looking for more people to work on their team to make games.
2. It's really cool that the dev team of Peak of Combat got Casey Edwards and Victor Borba to be a part of their OST, and cool what other features are in the game. But it's really too bad on the direction the devs have gone on it. Ads are popping up on their profiles like weeds (especially outrageous ones), they're not very clear with their direction on the game (including their official release dates. I've lost count how many release dates they've had now), and they've pretty much stopped listening to feedback from the fans on what can be improved on it overall. Found a former mod member of the game talking about their negative experience on working with them.
3 and 4. That's cool that Teppen gets another Devil May Cry expansion, and how Devil May Cry V sold more copies.
5. So we've got our first glimpse of Lady, and a little more in the Netflix series. I still have my high curiosities and being cautiously optimistic on what's in store for it. Fingers crossed that it doesn't turn out like Castlevania did after season 1.
6. It's interesting how Kamiya and Mikami left their own companies, and the process of their career journey throughout the years. I wish them luck on their next endeavor.
7. So I guess we may or may not get a Devil May Cry 6 announcement anytime soon?
8. If it's true that Dante will be appearing in Fortnite, that would be cool. But sadly I'm not a Fortnite fan, and him being in the game won't convince me to play it. But I will have no problem seeing what he looks like and how he plays on Youtube.

Fortnite Festival seasons ranked so far
Best: Metallica (Season 4)
Lady Gaga (Season 2)
The Weeknd (Season 1)
Billie Eilish (Season 3)
Worst: Karol G (Season 5)
It's too early to tell for Snoop Dogg (Season 6), since we're only a few weeks into the season, though I can say I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of Snoop Dogg songs. (There's been like... 3. 4 if you count All I Do Is Win)

Fortnite Thoughts - 9/8/2024
1. The Fall Guys update
This update isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be! And it makes actual good use of generative AI, by mixing and matching different premade clothes, hair, etc. and colors to match the skin, to avoid another Item Shop incident. I think the Bean versions of skins are MUCH better looking than the unfinished Lego styles. Not only that, but it got me into the actual Fall Guys.
2. Battle Pass exclusivity ending
Battle Pass items since Chapter 5 Season 4 are now entitled to return to the Item Shop 18 months after their season ends. This means you would be able to buy the Gwenpool skin in Chapter 7.
This is great! I don't think exclusivity matters, especially when it comes to licensed characters such as ones from Marvel and Star Wars, and a lot of the Fortnite community agrees!
The point of a Battle Pass is that you get early access to these cosmetics for a low cost, when each of the skins would normally be more expensive than the pass itself later on.
3. Fortnite Mobile
After 4 years, Fortnite is back on mobile! (except iOS outside of Europe.) Throughout Chapter 5 Season 4 (ends November 2, 2024), you will be able to finish quests to earn the Katalina skin and other rewards for free.
However, if you are on iOS outside of Europe, you can play Fortnite through a streaming service such as Xbox Cloud Gaming. Unfortunately, you will not be able to get the free rewards such as Katalina this way.
My Honest Thoughts
As someone who played during Chapter 1 Season 5, Chapter 2 Season 8, and Chapter 3 Season 1 before returning during Season OG in 2023, I think Fortnite is in a better state than ever before, especially with the addition of Festival and Lego.
And, don't chase me with a pitchfork for this, but I love seeing this key art when I start up the game! I'm still not sick of it, but I hope they change it for Chapter 6.
I have the feeling that Chapter 6 will be to me as Roblox was to me in 2014 when I was 11. Awesome.

Good Night, Sweet Summer Child O' Mine...
Yeah, so quick confession time for those who don't know; Yes I do in fact play fortnite. I've been playing basically since 2021. In my experience, alot of seasons since then for me have been either hit or miss for me. While some of them have been really memorable, this particular season however? Fortnite Wrecked (Chapter 5 Season 3) ended up being my absolute FAVOURITE one of all.
Not only did I fuck hard with the heavy-metal, rustic, wasteland-core theming, I enjoyed the hell out of it's greater focus on vehicular combat.
Which made it all the more sad to see this season go today. :(
Before the season officially came to an end though, me and my pals in a discord server I'm in came together for one last set of matches. We came out with 4/5 Ws out of 6 of those, with one particular player amongst us being especially fucking CRACKED at the game, to the point that he was somehow worming his way out of sticky situations any other player would otherwise find themselves dead.
We then followed that up with Rocket Racing, one race on a custom track a friend of ours made, themed around the hit game Super Freaks 1 Ultimate Edition (go check it out and play it if you haven't it's peak), then another race on the Metallica themed track Thrash Mountain. We then proceeded to cap it all off with a jam session playing more Metallica tunes in Festival mode!
Now I may not not have played most of this season throughout the entirety of it's run (I did however tune back in for the Metallica Concert Event in the middle of it), but I more than made up for lost time by getting A LOT of shit done in the 2 weeks I had left and then some.
I know I said it before, but it bears repeating; Wrecked has been hands down the most fun season of fortnite that I've ever had the pleasure of playing with friends in a long while.
The wasteland biome may still be here with us in the next season, but if this is truly goodbye for it's twisted metal, vehicular combat gameplay, then I bid Chapter 5 Season 3, and all it's wasteland monarchs, from the very bottom of my fuel-injected heart...
Thank you and farewell.
May all the fond memories we made together here, burn on...

So about Fortnite taking over everything...
by: Faint_Kitten.
I play fortnite. I like doing the challenges, I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
But I have messy feelings about fortnite having only gotten into it last month. Like…I could do a 2 hour video essay just talking about my feelings.
It's a polished fun game, like there's a reason I enjoy playing it. There's a reason it got popular and there is a definite charm to it's core battle royale, and playing as your favorite characters.
But also like…why did they add Festival mode? To sell music, but the record industry and artists want their cut…so they sell tracks for 5 bucks a pop and the battle pass is seperate from the festival pass and it's twice as much with half the rewards. So to get all the battle pass content you're spending like 30 bucks.
Why did they add rocket racing? To sell car shit.
Why did they add lego? To sell lego kits.
Why did they do all of this? Because they have the fucking money to, they (like amazon) conquered their market and they're trying to move into every other place because when you get that big, there is no other way to make MORE money and achieve that infinite growth without finding other markets. Its like "Oh we cornered this market, we can probably take that one too."
Fortnite is a game I have a lot of fun spending time in, and I'll be honest: Someone there cares about art and talent they're making crazy cool shit. The Solid snake event was made by someone who loves Metal Gear.
Fortnite is a really fun game I like spending a few hours in and getting new skins but it's run by a company that talks to other companies and goes: Yo you got a thing laying around people like to buy merch of? Sell it here.
Companies have things they hold the rights to, and their entire shebang is to try to make money off of something they already own. Companies look at influencers and go "how much reach does this have."
Fortnite is the gross fuck bang of these two ideas. It's the biggest widest influencer on the planet and it promises to sell whatever the fuck you have or are advertising on it's platform.
And somewhere in all of that, are teams of artists who come up with lore for the island, and skins based on new characters and they have enough money to make polished versions of their ideas, like the fact the pick is a mechanic, but they also have several different picks, and different animations for each one.
They have a fencing foil that has it's own animation and draws from the scabbard on the character's hip. They have a sword this season, and when you swing it there's a brief pause between each swing, like your character is holding form, that gives it this weird majesty.
Fortnite doesn't need to GIVE that much of a shit about animations like this, but it has the money to and SOMEONE in that company makes cool shit like that and gives it away for free.
It's a fucking weird enviornment. But we're seeing Epic games do what a lot of massively successful companies do: they reached a limit to the "infinite growth" they could get in their market and are trying to move into other games and other mediums. The same way google and amazon tried to get into gaming, or a fast food chain will decide: we sell chicken…what if we start selling pancakes for breakfast?
It is a core game and experience I enjoy, but everything around it is PURE evil. It feels like you're at the worlds best chuck e cheese having fun, but the windows are 2 way mirrors and executives are outside with their hands suspiciously in their pockets drooling waiting for you to crack and waiting to see which of their shitty little arcade games you start spending the most money on.

Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2 Promises Plenty Of Greek Mythological Action
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/fortnite-chapter-5-season-2-promises-plenty-of-greek-mythological-action/
Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2 Promises Plenty Of Greek Mythological Action
Fortnite: Chapter 5 was a huge launch for the long-running battle royale developed by Epic Games. Not only did it bring a mafia-themed season to the battle royale aspect of Fortnite, with a new battle pass too, but it introduced three new ways to play the game: Fortnite Festival, a Rock Band-like experience developed by Harmonix, Lego Fortnite, a Minecraft-like survival experience, and Rocket Racing, a racing game developed by Rocket League studio Psyonix.
As Season 1 of Chapter 5 reaches its closing hours, Epic Games has revealed the next season is called Myths & Mortals, promising a Greek Mythology-themed season with skins of gods and goddesses and more.
Unfortunately, the above announcement and accompanying image is all we have so far of Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2, but there’s plenty to discover in this teaser alone. It seems like the there’s a comedic Poseidon skin on the left, and a Hades skin in the center alongside perhaps Zeus and Athena up front. There appear to be some flying Green Goblin-esque gliders at play, too, with new point-of-interest locations themed after these Greek gods and goddesses in the background.
Only time will tell, but fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long because Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2 – Myths & Mortals begins tomorrow, March 8.
In the meantime, check out the latest two Lego Islands to hit Fortnite, and then read about how Lady Gaga joined the fun last month. After that, read about how Disney and Epic Games are partnering up to create a games and entertainment universe connected to Fortnite.
Are you excited for Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2 – Myths & Mortals? Let us know in the comments below!

February 22nd, 2024 - CHUNITHM, FN Festival
MASSIVE DAY TODAY!!!! Originally I was just gonna go to the arcade by myself, but then my buddy Leo had nothing better to do that day, so we both went along downtown and had a blast taking turns n' playing chunithm!!! I thought this would take away from the potential gaming I could've been getting in, but it actually gave me a skillboost somehow??? Like, look at these scores!!!
Sure, the Evans SS and Angel Dust WORLD'S END AA weren't massive, but then we get serious after warmups and try upscoring some old tracks, which -- oh my god. Angel Dust SS, Shin Sennen Joou 995, Love & Justice 993, felys -final remix- SIGHTREAD FC BTW, MARENOL ALMOST SIGHTREAD SS, and then ending it off with a double upscore on volcanic (995 to 1002 to 1004) to end off the session at 14.70 rating!!!!!
back at home i even had enough time to play the new Fortnite Festival Season 2!!!!!! I didn't take many scores screenshots, but I did get many Top 10 placements in exchange!!! (and also a sightread FC on March Of The Pigs Expert Drums
