Killing the villain: 🙅
Redeeming the villain: 🙅
The protagonist absorbing the villain into their own body to soothe their rage and show them that they never have to be alone again: 🙌

LMAO so *weeks* ago someone on twitter said something about the final boss in Forspoken being optional and I was like "huh they must be mixing it up with a different game, you can't get around that fight" AND THEN I REMEMBERED YOU CAN BAIL ENTIRELY. Frey can just fuck off back to New York!! you can tell how seriously I take that as an option tho since I forgot it even was one 💀

Between the description ("glorious gold touches," "dazzlingly refined"!) and the fact that the design improves Killer Blows, no one can convince me that Cuff didn't design this himself. With Frey rolling her eyes while she followed his directions.

...do... do you ever think that maybe the reason Olas stole her peoples' memories was because she knew she was going mad and didn't want them to be solely reliant on her the way Prav's people are? That she wanted them to not remember her, but remember instead their own curiosity and drive to learn and teach?
I just keep thinking about that one lady in Cipal who's so distraught because she doesn't know how to tell right from wrong without Prav to show her. And I keep thinking about Treahy and this other lady in the Archives, both of whom say their memories of Olas are hazy and faded, but they both still clearly have the drive to learn (and teach, in Treahy's case). And maybe Olas realized that the ties the people had to their Tantas may be detrimental to their survival, that they were too reliant on the Tantas and maintaining that reliance would undermine not only their survival, but also their ability to thrive, so she took that tie away while she still could.

The morals of Forspoken include being kind to oneself and others, giving damaged people a second chance, and that if you get pissed off enough you can transform into a dragon and nuclear blast the earth, leaving a crater so huge and scorched that nothing will ever grow there again

the implication that Cuff's quips and meddling drove every single Tanta mad but Frey Holland who survived New York, the American foster care system, and homelessness AT THE SAME TIME. Like bracelet bitch you thought

Thinking about how Susurrus was made to be a force of destruction. That is his job. His purpose. His reason for existence.
And yet he spends nearly all of his time with Frey being a shield. A protector, rather than a destroyer.
I wonder if it went against his instincts. If it was hard. If it took a while for him to work out how best to function as a shield rather than a sword.
