#Ford In Cult AU

Found a Silas Birtchtree playlist and kinda fell Deep into a rabbit hole lol. Liked the idea of a Ford in the cult au scenario I've seen(So moving the timeline of the cult until Way Later obv) and was inspired by Silas' whole spiel of "You can't kill a dead man" or something similar.

So yeah. Ford is a little past his obsession and gullible era and has entered the "Oh Fuck Oh Fuck Oh Fuck What Did I Do" era. Kinda snapped and tried to kill this guy and yeah.. Didn't work.

like what if cult member Stan like before the post card thing he finds some cult that's willing to 'help' him since he's down on his luck, he finds it pretty sketchy so he accepts it but keeps his guard up in case their lying or smth (cause by this point he's delt with a lot of stuff and is in a pretty bad situation so he's taking a risk but if all turns out well it'll be worth it) and like slowly but surely they manipulate him, since he's a young man who's living out his car with barely enough to get by and nobody to turn to if anything happened he's the prime target for a cult, I mean it would take a long time cause you can't really break a con artist that easily but eventually they manage to do it and now he's a cult member and idk does culty stuff and then Ford sends the post card, asking his twin for help, only for when stan gets there he's not at all like ford remembers (since sometimes cults have a person change their behavior as it doesn't aline with their beliefs) and he's just like "You seem like you need some help, why not come with me to [insert cult name's place], they helped me and they can help you." And Ford is just baffled and is like "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY BROTHER?!?!" cause I get the idea he doesn't think this is his twin plus paranoia stuff, but idk through whatever means he convinces Ford he's Stan and starts yapping about the cult and ford realized that this crap is a cult and they indoctrinated his brother into their delusions, and he is mad or concerned? Idk whatever and like now he's gotta balance making sure the bill crap doesn't get out of hand while trying to help Stan get out of the cult and stuff, idk it kinda like a cheesy TV show/video game but I digress, I think it's a silly au idea, I might actually follow up on the concept and draw art

Stanford Henry Pines and William Edward Cipher - Jekyll and Hyde AU designs :3

Art based on the artwork of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by: Ivan Shavrin

Instead of wanting to separate one's being through a potion, like Jekyll, Stanford is interested in investigating parallel universes and finding out if he can project parts of people that they didn't want onto an alternative version of themselves, getting rid of the negative side easily. He found out about William through a book that appeared in his lab after coming home from a failed pitch for his research and summoned him. William lies saying that he knows how to make an interdimensional portal that would serve as an access point to a giant network of dimensions, he offers his guidance and knowledge in exchange for control of Ford's mind and body. He then instructed Stanford on how to create a drug that would prevent neural connections and transmissions to allow easier access to his brain.

William would use this drug with previous researchers or even large groups of people (cults) to facilitate possession and control and make the mind weaker to his influence over time, which is how he was able to intrude without it later on

this is a snippet from my AU that I’m working on called the Cult of the Blind Eye :3 it started as a NITW crossover but slowly developed into its own thing, hence Ford being a cat in the bonus sketches lawl. I will explain it in more depth later but I’m very pleased with this idea and excited to share more! :D

Hellll Yeha tell me more about your atelier au! Is Stan a brimhat? Or is he a good law abiding witch? What happened to ford?

I WOULD LOVE TO!! Also Same Hat with Witch Hat Atelier gravity falls au 🤝 Stan is not a brimhat! While he’s dabbled in forbidden spells and witch crimes he purposely wears a witch’s cap. This keeps him under the radar plus the Brimhats creep him out. He has never been a law abiding citizen! I don’t think it’s part of his vocabulary. and now onward to Stanford Pines!

After graduating and becoming a full witch he moved to Gravity Falls sets up his atelier there and looks into the magic of the small town. When he eventually came to a halt on his research he finds a cave painting of Bill just instead of the ritual to summon bill it’s the mind control sigil that at first just allows Bill into Fords mind and through some fun manipulation Bill convinces ford to inscribe a sigil on his witch cap that gives Bill full control. I drew out an idea of the mind control sigil, I took the memory wipe sigil from WHA with some creative liberties and added in the symbol for fire. During this time Ford becomes a full brimhat. This is after magic started becoming limited on who can practice it. Bill also convinced Ford to build a window/portal to where Bills been trapped. When he gets paranoid and contacts Stan he still tries to push Stan away leading into a fight causing Ford getting sucked into the window/portal. He gets trapped where Bill is trapped. The forest of mazes. It’s specifically built to keep dangerous people in like Bill Cipher. Hence why Fords never been able to escape. This also starts Stan’s development from regular human to full witch with the help from Fords journal and various books around his atelier. The journals play a very similar role. They are Fords research notes but as the journals progress and get more unhinged Ford also writes more on forbidden spells. When Stan finds out that Dipper has journal 3 he is really hesitant on giving it back to Dipper but trusts him and gives it back.

and some notes on this piece! ford was easier to come up with a design for because of how easier to it to change a trench coat into a witch’s robe. His current witch’s cap is made by Mabel :]. We also get to see younger Ford and Stan on the days they Fucked Up. I also started showing bits of Bill Ciphers abilities. Since the Brimhats are humans who used magic to become enhance their abilities and also the Big Bad Guy, and also also so far in my rereading of WHA there’s no mentions on demons or gods. So for Bill he’s just a Brimhat but a very charismatic Manipulative cult like brimhat

So remember that Star Wars x Gravity Falls Au post I did a while back? So I decided to go back to it and create some doodles for the au. Problem is I haven't finished them considering I put way too much effort on Stan's mando armor. I'm yet to finish Ford too so that's something I'll dive into next. Can't wait to share those doodles in the future!

Also changes to the lore of this au:

• Stan and Ford are born on a tropical beach planet (still deciding what) and were separated at 14 (same age as Dipper and Mabel in this au) (I know Jedi usually take Force-sensitive kids at a younger age but I'm gonna bend canon a bit on this one)

• Stan was sold to slavery by his own father in order to pay off his debts in gambling shortly after Ford left and after their mother died.

• Stan was then brought to Tatooine where he would later be bought out of slavery by a Mandalorian belonging to the "Children of the Watch" cult, who then took Stan under his wing and trained him to become a Mandalorian.

• After growing up and swearing the Creed, Stan would later get kicked out by his cult and get consequently kicked out by other Mandalorian factions that he would later come to join in the future before obtaining his own ship and crew (Wendy and Soos) and becoming a bounty hunter whose also keen on gambling.

• This all happened before the rise of the Galactic Empire.

• Meanwhile, Ford would be trained under Bill Cipher and would eventually succeed his Padawan trials and become a Jedi Knight, even having his own padawan (Fiddleford) in the process.

• Unbeknownst to Ford, his master was secretly working along side Sidious and Tarkin in order to bring about the fall of the Jedi Order and the Republic.

• Set to be killed by his former master during Order 66, he and Fiddleford tried to save as many Jedi as they can but was forced to run away in an effort to escape, unfortunately leaving his padawan and the rest of the surviving Jedi to fend for themselves.

• He would later be caught by Bill and would be forced to train to become an Inquisitor, even go through a series of torture designed to break him and turn him into a shell of his former self.

• Ford would then escape and hide from the Empire before joining and aiding the Rebellion from time to time. As he helped the Rebels, he also made it his mission to take down Bill and the Inquisitors.

• On the other hand, after learning about Order 66 and the fall of the Republic, Stan would try to search for his brother hoping for the possibility that he was still alive. He never found his brother and eventually mourned him.

• The brothers would then reunite shortly after Stan met Dipper and Mabel when both kids found themselves lost on the underworld of Coruscant and ran into a six- fingered stranger who protected them from the eyes of stormtroopers. Though, unbeknownst to the kids, this man also happened to be their Grunkle's bounty.

•Ford protected Dipper and Mabel after sensing they were Force-sensitive. But, when a Mandalorian bounty hunter came to get them, Ford did not hesitate to keep the kids safe. Though, unbeknownst to him, the Mandalorian he just fought with turned out to be the kids' great uncle and his twin brother, whom he has not seen since they were 14.

Hi I don’t know if I’m onto something here or just crazy but I just noticed that Ford’s eyes seem to be slightly triangle shaped a lot of the time in your blind eye ford au art, specifically when Ford is doing something Fidds doesn’t like? So I guess I’ll also take the opportunity to ask what Bill is doing in the au since you mentioned he would play a role. (Love this au so much btw you are so cool for making it. I need my Fucked Up Fidds content fix and you are providing)

Hello! I would first like to congratulate you on being an ideal Gravity Falls fan. This is a fandom that thrives on people looking for details and connecting dots.

Unfortunately, any resemblance to triangles in Ford’s eyes was purely coincidental, but I love where your mind is going with this! Im incredibly touched that you took the time to analyze my artwork :] I will reward you with some information about Bill’s role in the au! Do keep in mind that nothing is set in stone and any of this could later change.

Bill Cipher took a personal offense in Fiddleford’s actions. She erased Ford’s memory partially so the progress on the portal would be halted, and also to render Bill’s deal with Ford is null, and lock him out of Ford’s head.

Now that portal plans are in ruin and Bill is unable to possess Ford, it would make sense for him to move on and find some other victim to build the portal for him. Or he could find somebody else, try out the cult thing again, et cetera. The fatal flaw in Bill’s plan is that he didn’t expect to get so attached to Ford, and now he is determined to finish what they started together. Additionally, he feels that his toy was taken from him, and wants to get back at Fiddleford for messing everything up. He no longer has access to the physical world and thus has to influence people through dreams.

He does have to tread lightly, however, as Ford’s delicate mental state makes everything 10x more complicated. Throw Stanley into the mix and you have the the au; a confusing psychological jumble of characters competing and strategizing to have things their way.

fiddleford ( tanuki ) = fords lab partner and long life best friend : fidds ! hes the voice of reason most of the time and safety is everything to him . he always follows his gut , and usually hes right .

bill cipher ( human ) = billiard is his nickname , his actual name is william . he is very intelligent and physicaly fit despite his old age . some call him the hunter of the woods , others call him a maniac . he is the leader of a small group of vigilantes called the henchmaniacs , a sour band of misfits !

gideon ( vampire ) = in this au , gideon is actually very neutral . his dad isn't the " yes man " he usually would be like in the show , instead , he teaches gideon about vampirism and the vampire cult him and his ancestors took part in . his amulet is a gift from his mother for him to lure in victims to their manor , gives him the ability to disguise himself as human , and makes people believe he is not suspicious .

pacifica ( land n sea siren ) = born to a rich and wealthy monster family , pacificas life is tethered to a lifelong memory of serenades and pageants . beauty , music and gold is all that matters to her mother and father . she always hides her land siren form and has always been shown as a mix of both , representing the ties between land and sea , pacifica is a trophy for her parents to display as other sirens pay homage to this equilibrium of harmony of the earths waters and lands .

So I have been cooking different ideas for outfits for my au and I decided all of the Blind Eye members wearing red robes is boring so I'm designing alternate outfits. I love Fiddleford's actually.

I kept him in a shirt similar to what he used to wear because. Sorry, but he would NOT keep up with the latest fashion trends over 30 years ❌ he is way too busy trying to save Ford from Bill

I had an idea for an AU of your "the twins are bill and Fords kids AU"

So bill finds out about the kids before they hatch(?) a bit of time before it happens in your AU Bill basically kind of just remembers "oh shit I did that with Ford I should see if it actually worked"

and then he hatches(?) them and takes them and at first because it's a ✨manipulation opportunity✨ but then oh no at least some parental instinct has emerged as he takes care of them because they're his and they're wonderful

And as they grow they develop personalities and Mabel oh how she reminds Bill so much of himself the little creature of chaos she is

And Dipper reminds him of Ford (and himself too) with that insatiable hunger for knowledge to see the secrets the universe has to offer

(And when Mabel starts becoming a bit boy crazy Bill just tells her that when she's a bit older he'll let her start her own cult)

And instead of creating things with glitter Mable creates things with the stardust her dad stole from the sky when she wanted to bedazzle her scrapbook (and also glitter because it is an item that breeds chaos and that is something Bill approves of)

And Dipper has a journal that never runs out of pages where he writes down the secrets and stories of the universe (both freely given and stolen by Bill)

And they are Bills children because how could they not be they are so fundamentally weird these nigh impossible creations that were made in a drunken haze a combination of magic and science that somehow breaks the laws of both

And Bill dreams of how when the time finally comes he shall finally bring Weirdmageddon

and he'll give them like a 10th of the planet where they can do whatever they want (because he may be a parent but he still likes to party and also doesn't want his kids to accidentally eat some hard drugs so it's basically a dedicated area for the kids where he doesn't have to worry about them too much because sometimes you just need a little you time okay!!!)

And getting back on track with the original plan surely when Ford meets the kids surely he'll at least love them as much as Bill and they can finally play one big happy Family ruling the world together

[In the meantime Ford had no idea any of this was happening didn't even know he had kids so imagine his surprise on Weirdmageddon

(Should Ford even trust these children they are Bills kids not to mention the fact that he's the one who raised them

a part of Ford wants to protect these kids another part of him thinks that Bills spawn shouldn't be trusted shouldn't exist)]

Bill being so ready to use these kids as pawns and then he sees them and his heart instantly melts and 'I have only had these 2 for a moment and if anything happens to them I will burn the worlds down to the ground'

Him telling Mabel she can start her own cult is hilarious!

Dipper being like him fascinated by things out of his reach like the stars were for Bill and Bill encouraging him and making sure he can get all knowledge he wants.

Them breaking both magic and science is just perfection.

Bill giving hids a part of the world to have fun and sew their own chaos so he can have some me time, 'Ok kiddos go and do some destruction Dad is going to hang out with some friends and make a throne of human suffering ok'

OHH Ford's reaction to them is brilliant him being torn between wanting to protect his kids, but also these kids are Bill's and like him and raised by him. Probably twisted and manipulated by him and what if these kids are a trick a trap just a manipulation... he'd be in full paranoia mode.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I'm curious! So I saw an ask asking if Ford considers Soos and Wendy family. And I was wondering if Ford considered Fiddleford family and would ask Bill to spare him as well? Would Fidds family (his son) apply as well?

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that in the Evil Ford AU, Ford is Fiddleford's enemy.

Consider what happened between them:

Fiddleford repeatedly got scared of monsters

Bill told Ford that Fiddleford might be too cowardly for this

Fiddleford asked Ford to quit by writing him a research paper

Ford gets offended and wonders if Bill was right

They do the portal test; Fiddleford is traumatized and leaves.

Ford confronts Bill; Bill reveals his evil plan.

What happens next in canon:

Ford is horrified, betrayed, and vengeful.

Ford realizes Bill was manipulating him to turn against Fiddleford

Ford spends the next thirty years regretting turning his back on Fiddleford and not listening to his warnings.

What happens next in the Evil Ford AU:

Ford goes "Cool. Can I join the evil plan?"

He's even MORE sure Bill was right about Fiddleford.

So: he still considers Fiddleford a coward, he's still insulted that Fiddleford tried to "steal" his research, and he still thinks Fiddleford is a loser for quitting just when things were getting good.

On top of that, I've decided that the reason Ford called Stan for help is obviously not because he was paranoid Bill was after him, but because he was paranoid the Blind Eye was after him, as Fiddleford realized Ford was carrying on with this terrible idea and used his new cult to try to stop him.

... And then, after everything else, Fiddleford wrecked Ford's house.

You're welcome to insert whatever additional lingering feelings you want into this mess, we're leaving that open-ended here. But right now they are very much enemies and Ford's got a long list of petty grievances against him, as is wont to happen when a villain thinks a hero is trying to thwart his ambitions.

Ik someone probably already did this because that one tBoB page seems so obvious but-- AU where Fiddleford meets Bill in the 80s(???) instead of Ford :)

Here's the general idea, though it needs workshopping:

Fidds is stumped in his development of 'personal computers' and Bill tries to give tech a shot; Fiddleford doesn't like demons. Obviously. But Bill gets on his side by showing him the wonders of tech in the future-- and the horrors, too. He taps into Fiddleford's paranoia, saying that the knowledge that his technology would grant the world should only be available to the few people who know how to use it. Cue Fiddleford's cult, the 'Society of the Eye', which sells these trashy Bill computers worldwide through its members and monitors the users through their screens, wiping their memories when they've seen too much. People can only be protected and held accountable when they are seen and controlled!

This is giving Bill some good windows into this dimension, but isn't exactly bringing him closer to a portal. When Fiddleford mentions his old genius pal Stanford Pines, Bill suggests he go recruit him; it's not long before Fiddleford finds him in Gravity Falls. They get started on the portal with Fiddleford as the lead of the project, who keeps Ford 'safe' and away from the supernatural dangers of town, all while keeping his real intentions a secret; summoning Bill into their realm so that the Society can have complete, bubble-wrapped control over the world. Fiddleford only snaps out of it when he realizes Bill intends to bring world-ending chaos.
