mha boys as american high school teenage stereotypes
a/n this isn't an original idea, ik that, but this is just my take on it. also lowk just based off of ppl ik irl but also just really similar to the actual character. also these are really short n simple, my brain wasn't able to think any further
characters katsuki bakugou, shoto todoroki, izuku midoriya, eijiro kirishima, denki kaminari, hanta sero, tenya iida, hitoshi shinsho
masterlist
katsuki bakugou
not just saying this bc he's my fav
but quite literally the most popular person at school
like hes handsome, athletic, smart, rich, all of the above, no one could ever compare
everybody would have a crush on him (shit i would too)
or hate him
no in between
but he's still very intimidating so he doesn't have a lot of friends and has a heard time making em
not saying he's a playboy or anything
but definitely gets hella attention from girls
but he is more often than not uninterested
he would play football no doubt, run track/shot put during his off season to stay fit
not a douchebag but he totally comes off as one
shoto todoroki
he's the loser, the loner
actually jk, bc i really don't believe anyone is a loner
theres gotta be someone he talks too
hes that smart kid whos schedule is filled w ap n honors classes
and his only friends would be classmates that hes not super close w so they never talk outside of school (me lol)
hes rich rich
def plays tennis or golf, school and club
he's THE hallway crush
especially for like underclassmen
he just gives off that mysterious vibe that makes girls fall for him
not to mention he is sooooo pretty
like it's not a secret that he is attractive
but he's never had a gf or even a situationship in his life
idek
izuku midoriya
teachers pet 100% lol
not the smartest but also not dumb
like definitely top 20% of his class
i feel like he would take part in a lot of extracurriculars
he's not popular at all
but has a small group of close friends
so so sassy
like imagine arguing w him about a random subject
and you just start to piss him off
he just puts you on blast and starts embarrassing the hell out of you
making you feel hella stupid
he doesn't do it to be mean or anything
he's just a sassy lil guy idk
sassy man apocalypse!!
eijiro kirishima
social butterfly
friends with everyone
but not like a floater friend
but literally just everyones friend
like he's so genuine and is able to get along with everybody
sooo loyal
always has the best advice
definition of boyfriend material!!!
probably has had a long term gf
he takes his relationships n friendhsips so seriously
definitely plays multiple sports
idk i see him as a wrestler or even like gymnastics lol
lowk imagine him apart of the schools student council or leadership club
fully goes out for football games/friday night lights
denki kaminari
class clown fs
also lowk rlly flirty but has never had a gf or even come close
like such a ladies man
thats just part of his personality
most of his friends are girls but not in a weird way
he's the life of the party
lowk one of the only characters i can see myself having a smoke sesh w lol
big party goer
theres a house party being thrown
best believe he's there
he's not the brightest of the bunch
but he does try, its not like hes lazy
he's also so pretty
deff one of those guys w the longest eyelashes than any girl lol
lowk tennis player!denki?
also sorta see him as a swimmer/waterpolo
hanta sero
he is just so friendly
lowk a npc
but i still love him
he's so laid back and chill and has such a relaxed personality
like if you'd ever need to just have a calm night/hang out with one of your friends, he's the first person youd call
has had mulitple gfs, but def not a player
they just never seem to workout
would start a bs club with his friends so every other week they could just order a couple pizzas to school and hang out in the chill teachers class
idk i feel like hes kinda artsy
like he took art 1 his freshman year just for an easy a and schedule requirements, but he realized he was actually kinda creative
likes to doodle in class rather than pay attention now
lowk plays basketball
big car guy!!
tenya iida
THE honor student
number 1 in his class
5.0 gpa
student council persident all 4 years of high school
friend group is made up of all the other nerds who take 10+ ap classes
definitely got into multiple colleges before even applying
definitely not just saying this because of his quirk, but would lowk do track n xc
everything ive said so far i legit just his normal self😭😭😭 lemme try to get more specific
lowk imagine an iida where like outside of school he's lowk a partier
like imagine him getting blackout drunk every weekend but sobering up for school every week
and still being the best student in his grade
he's just so handsome
multiple girls have liked him but he's rejected them due to wanting to have his life set in place before thinking about romance
hitoshi shinso
he's so fucking emo just look at him
ok well not emo but just a little alternative
but yk in an american high school being a little alt means other people see you as full out gothic
so what if he's just a little quiet and brooding☹️☹️
again he's also smart
but he doesn't take all those honor classes
he wouldn't admit it but his favorite genre to watch is reality tv
best believe he was fully invested in season 6 of love island
#ppgbackontop
not an athletic guy
but was definitely forced to like play soccer or sum as a kid
works at your local comic/record store
all the emo girls that come in have a crush on him
thats all i got😫

words count: 10k
notes: hello everyone! here's another one-shot from me, and let me tell you i've been thinking about this fic a lot lot lot bc i'm a sucker of this kind of romance, sorry.... inspired by TS "you belong with me” mv but with a twist! if you’re a swiftie, you’ll probably notice quite a few nods to the iconic mv—incorporated some of its most memorable scenes into the story. hope you enjoy this fun, nostalgic ride <3
p.s. dont come for my girl Sana—she might be a little extra in the beginning scenes, but trust me she’s worth it! & threw a Yeontan moment to honor him... fly high, little one 🕊
The gym buzzed with energy as students rushed around, their laughter and conversations creating a lively atmosphere for the school’s event preparations. Colorful decorations filled the room, and tables were piled high with craft supplies. As the student council leader, you moved through the crowd with a clipboard, checking off tasks and motivating your excited team.
“Hey, Miss Y/N!” called out a freshman, her face showing worry. “Can you help us with this banner? It’s too high!”
“Got it!” you answered with determination, quickly heading to where a sturdy ladder was leaning against the wall. You set it up under the spot where the banner needed to go and felt a surge of confidence as you grabbed the banner in one hand and some tape in the other.
Climbing the ladder, each step brought you closer to the colorful paper reaching up to the ceiling. But as you neared the top, your foot slipped a little on the rung. In that quick moment, everything seemed to slow down. “Oh no—” you gasped, trying hard to steady yourself. Before you knew it, you slipped down the ladder and landed with a thud on the polished gym floor. The loud noise echoed in the sudden silence that followed.
Laughter erupted around you, filling the air with amusement. At the center of it all was Sana , the cheerleading captain and your former bestfriend. Her laughter rang out, almost mocking, as she stood with her friends, arms crossed and a smug smirk on her face, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
"Be careful, Y/N," she mocked, her voice thick with sarcasm. "Being busy might make you grow old faster." Her laughter felt sharp, and it stung even more when you noticed she didn’t offer to help you up.
Heat flooded your cheeks, mixing embarrassment with frustration, but you fought to keep it under control. Taking a deep breath, you stood up and brushed off your shirt, straightening your back. “Alright, everyone, let’s get back to work! We have an event to make special!” you said, putting on a genuine smile that energized the team.
The room buzzed with renewed focus as your enthusiasm spread, pulling everyone back into the excitement of preparing for the event. Sana rolled her eyes and turned away with her group, their giggles trailing behind, but you didn’t let their laughter get you down.
“Y/N, are you okay?” a familiar voice called through the noise. You turned to see Kim Namjoon, the student council secretary and the head editor of the school paper, approaching with a concerned look on his face, a notebook tucked under one arm.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you replied with a grin. “Just stumbled a bit, nothing to worry about.”
“Impressive,” he said, chuckling. “Not many can fall like that and still walk away with confidence.”
"You think?" you grin. "Add it to the school paper column. Speaking of which, I need your help editing later." Namjoon smiles, his warmth reassuring.
While being the heaď of the student council was a big responsibility, you believed that your writing skills were really what helped you lead. Every meeting, every plan for events, and every motivational speech was shaped by your years of writing experience. It wasn’t just a hobby; it was a vital tool that helped define your leadership style.
As the day went on, you guided the team with determination, turning your fall into a funny story rather than a moment of embarrassment. With the gym transforming into a lively celebration of school spirit, you felt a swell of pride in both the team and yourself for staying true to what really mattered.

The following day was the big foundation day event, and it turned out to be a tremendous success. As the sun set, you breathed a sigh of relief, feeling proud of how everything had gone. You had led your team to pull off one of the year's most important events, and now you could finally focus on your studies again, catch up on assignments, and enjoy some much-needed relaxation.
But then, things took an unexpected turn.
That evening, the school's football team had a crucial game against a rival school, which brought a huge crowd to the stadium. At first, you had no plans to go; you were determined to finish your essays and study for your upcoming exams. Just as you were about to dive into your books, you received a call from Namjoon.
“Hey Y/N, I know this is really last minute, but can you come by the office?” he asked, sounding urgent.
Curious and a bit worried, you made your way to the editorial office. Being part of the school publication was something you loved, but tonight, you hoped it wouldn’t mean too much extra work.
When you arrived, Namjoon greeted you with a stressed look. “Y/N, I really need your help. You're one of our best writers, and we’re in a tight spot.”
You raised an eyebrow. “What’s happened?”
“Yunjin, who was supposed to write about tonight’s football game, is sick and can’t make it,” Namjoon explained, urgency in his voice. “We need someone to fill in and write the article for tomorrow’s paper. I know it’s short notice, but you’re our best option. Can you take it on?”
You paused, thinking about all the homework and studying waiting for you at home. “Namjoon, I’m not sure I can do this. Writing sports articles isn’t really my thing.”
Namjoon shot you a reassuring smile. “You just have to write down what happens during the game and maybe ask a few of our players about it afterward. You’re a fantastic writer, Y/N. I know you can handle this.”
Feeling torn, you considered the school, the players who had worked so hard for this moment, and how important it was to share their story with everyone.
“Okay, Joon,” you said with newfound determination. “I’ll do it.”
Namjoon visibly relaxed and handed you a notebook and a press pass. “You’re a lifesaver, Y/N. I know you’ve already put in a lot of effort for the school. I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
You smirked and raised an eyebrow. “You better. I’m counting on you for lunch for a week.”
Namjoon laughed. “Deal. Now go make it a great article. Good luck!”
With that, you headed towards the stadium, notebook in hand, ready to take on another challenge.
Later, under the bright lights of the stadium, you were caught up in the exciting atmosphere of the game. The crowd's cheers surrounded you as you walked along the sidelines, your press pass hanging around your neck. The lights created dramatic shadows over the players as they warmed up, and you could feel their energy in the air. You stopped for a moment, heart racing, to write down your initial thoughts about the buzz surrounding the upcoming match and the rival team's arrival.
Then, you saw him.
The golden boy everyone had been talking about. He was someone you had known since you were kids—the one who always made it difficult for you to hold his gaze for long. Memories flooded back of sunny afternoons spent playing in your backyards, the shy smiles exchanged during those brief encounters, and that unmistakable flutter in your stomach whenever he was near.
He stood in the middle of the field, naturally drawing everyone's attention, with his dark hair damp from practicing, strands sticking to his forehead. His jersey fit him perfectly, showcasing his athletic build. You could see the fire in his eyes from where you stood—a mix of determination and passion that made him even more captivating.
When the game ended with an exciting win for your school, the stadium roared with cheers. A wave of pride swelled inside you—not just for the team's victory but for the chance to capture this moment through your writing.
As you lingered on the sidelines, you felt torn about whether to approach him. You had enough material for your article, but a small voice inside you urged that this opportunity was too special to miss. Just as you were about to decide, a familiar voice broke into your thoughts.
“Hey, Y/N!”
You turned sharply, your heart nearly leaping out of your chest. There he was, striding towards you with that effortless confidence you both admired and envied. His jersey clung to him, damp with sweat, his hair tousled, and that bunny-like smile brighter than the stadium lights surrounding you.
“Hey, Jungkook,” you replied, trying to sound calm even though you felt anything but. “Congratulations on your win!”
“Thanks,” he said, tilting his head with a curious look, making you feel both exposed and energized. “I didn’t expect to see you here. Did you enjoy the game?”
“Of course! For the article tomorrow,” you replied, clutching your notebook like a lifeline. “You know, school paper stuff.”
“How did you find the game?” he asked, his tone light yet genuinely curious as if he wanted your opinion.
“That’s cool. I mean, you’re cool. I mean—you’re great,” you blurted, the words tumbling before you could stop them. Your thoughts were a tangled mess, and the soft chuckle that escaped his lips didn’t make it any easier to compose yourself.
“Thanks,” Jungkook replied, tilting his head slightly as he studied you.
Trying to regain your composure, you cleared your throat. “Could I ask you a few questions about the game?”
“Sure,” he replied effortlessly.
You began asking him the standard post-game questions, scribbling down his answers. But as he spoke, your focus wavered. His voice was smooth and warm, carrying an understated excitement that made you lose track of your notes. You couldn’t help but notice how his eyes sparkled when he talked about the team’s victory, how the corner of his lips curled into a smile that made your heart skip a beat. Your attention drifted, and your writing soon became a mess of half-written sentences.
“Hey, babe,” a voice interrupted, snapping you out of your daze.
You looked up to see Sana, the head cheerleader—of course she would be here—striding over with her usual charm. Her cheer uniform fit her perfectly, highlighting her athletic build. In that moment, the butterflies in your stomach shifted to a sinking feeling.
“Oh, hey, Sana,” Jungkook greeted her, and you noticed a change in his tone.
“Great game! You were amazing out there,” Sana said before throwing her arms around him in a sudden hug. Jungkook’s body stiffened briefly, and his expression showed mild discomfort as he pulled away.
When she finally let go, Sana’s gaze shifted to you, her smile on a sharper edge. “What’s this?” she asked, nodding toward your notebook.
“It’s for the school paper,” you replied, keeping your tone neutral.
“Last time I checked, you weren’t into sports writing, Y/N.”
Her words caught you off guard, and for a moment, you debated whether it was worth responding. You were exhausted from the long day, and the last thing you wanted was to engage in her petty comments. But something about her smug tone lit a fire in you.
“And the last time I checked,” you shot back, your eyes lockig onto hers with a glare, “was a year ago. So, you don’t know much about what I’m doing now, Sana.”
The tension in the air thickened, but before you could say more, Jungkook stepped in, his voice calm yet firm. “Hey, what’s going on?”
You forced a polite smile, snapping your notebook shut. “Thanks, Jungkook,” you said abruptly, needing an escape. “I’ll, uh, I’ll go now.”
“Thanks, Y/N,” he replied softly, his eyes lingering on you. “See you around.”
As you walked away, you couldn’t help but feel a sting. Jungkook and Sana had been linked ever since she became the cheerleading captain, though rumors swirled that they weren’t officially a couple. You tried to convince yourself it didn’t matter, but deep down, it did—just a little. This wasn’t just anyone; it was your former best friend and the boy who had unknowingly captured your heart for years.
Later that night, you sat at your desk, struggling to finish an article you had started. The soft light from Jungkook’s room peeked through your curtains, reminding you of how near yet far he felt. His smile and the sound of his voice echoed in your mind. As you lay there, sleep refused to come, and you found yourself thinking about what could have happened if you had ever had the courage to tell him your true feelings.
— ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ —
After weeks passed and final exams wrapped up, you threw yourself into your studies. It wasn’t just about making your parents proud or keeping your position as a student leader; it was about getting a scholarship to the university of your dreams, something you had worked toward for years. After weeks of sleepless nights and exhausting tests, your final stretch as a high school senior came to a close.
That afternoon, completely worn out, you headed straight to your room and collapsed onto your bed. When you woke up three hours later, it was dark outside, and your mom called you for dinner. Rubbing your eyes, you stretched and turned toward your window. That’s when you saw that your curtain was slightly open, revealing Jungkook’s room across the way.
He was there, his face faintly lit by a desk lamp, talking animatedly on the phone. Even from a distance, you could see the tension in his posture—his brows were knitted together, his jaw tense, and his hand was tugging at his hair in frustration. Concern rose in your chest. Without thinking, you grabbed a notepad and marker from your desk and quickly jotted down a message.
"Are you okay?"
You held it up to the window, feeling anxious as you waited. It took him a moment to notice you, but when he did, his expression softened a bit. He sighed and wrote back:
"Tired of drama."
Unsure of how to reply, you eventually wrote:
"Sorry."
He looked at your note, and a faint, tired smile flickered across his face. He shook his head gently, as if to say it wasn’t your fault. The simple exchange left a strange heaviness in your chest despite the silence between you. You wondered what troubles he was facing, and for a brief moment, you wished you could reach out and help him.
Jungkook then waved at you, a small gesture that felt like a goodnight. You waved back, signaling for him to get some rest. He smiled again, this time it felt more genuine, before closing his curtain. The room immediately fell silent, but thoughts of him lingered long after he disappeared from view.

On a laid-back Sunday afternoon, you decided to take a break from your busy life by diving into a book that had caught your interest. You found a quiet spot on a bench in the park, where the calm surroundings helped soothe your busy mind.
Out of the blue, you were startled by a loud bark. Looking up, you saw a tiny, fluffy Pomeranian running towards you. Its shiny black and brown fur sparkled in the sunlight, and its bright eyes shone with playful energy. A smile spread across your face as the little dog, looking like a cuddly stuffed animal, stopped barking and approached you cautiously.
“Hey there, little buddy,” you said softly, reaching out your hand. The dog sniffed your fingers for a moment and then nuzzled against you, clearly enjoying the attention. Feeling a rush of affection for dogs, you scratched behind its ears and laughed as it playfully licked your hand.
Just then, a voice called out from a distance, “Yeontan!” You looked up to see Jungkook jogging toward you, looking a bit rushed.
“There you are,” he said, picking up the dog and holding it in his arms. “I’m sorry if he bothered you.”
“Oh, not at all,” you replied with a smile, still petting Yeontan. “He’s so cute!”
Jungkook chuckled and scratched Yeontan behind the ear. “He’s not actually mine, though. Taehyung asked me to look after him for a while. He can be quite a handful sometimes.”
“I don’t mind at all,” you said, charmed by the little fluffball. “I love dogs. He’s just too adorable!”
“Right?” Jungkook grinned. “He can be a bit of a troublemaker, though. So, what are you doing here? Just reading?”
“Something like that,” you shrugged. “I needed a break to clear my mind. It helps.”
“That's good to hear. You deserve some time off,” Jungkook replied, his tone growing softer. “So, what’s your plan after graduation? Are you staying here for college?”
You paused, closing your book as you considered your response. “Honestly, I’m not sure. My mom and I haven’t talked much about it, but I’m applying to a few schools that are far away. What about you?”
Jungkook sighed, absentmindedly petting Yeontan. “My dad wants me to stay here and take business classes while focusing on football. He has this whole plan for me to take over his business.”
“Is that what you want?” you asked, tilting your head to study his expression.
“I’m not sure,” he admitted, frustration creeping into his voice. “I don’t want to let him down, but…”
“But what?” you prompted.
“I really loved photography and film,” he said quietly. “I told my dad I wanted to study film, but he wasn’t too excited. He thinks football is my best chance at making it to the national team, and that everything else is just a hobby.”
You frowned, feeling a twinge of sympathy for him. “That sounds rough, Jungkook. It’s great that your dad believes in you, but it’s your life. You should do what makes you happy.”
“That’s what your dad always said, right?” Jungkook remarked, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “I miss Uncle Seojun. He always encouraged me and was so excited about my photography projects.”
“He really was,” you replied, smiling at the memory of your father. “I remember how thrilled you were when you got that camera for your birthday. You couldn’t stop talking about it!”
He laughed softly, nostalgic. “Yeah, those were good times.”
Jungkook’s gaze softened as he looked at you, momentarily distracted by a stray hair that had fallen over your face. Without thinking, he reached out and gently tucked it behind your ear. The unexpected touch made your heart skip a beat.
“There,” he said softly, almost whispering as if the moment needed a certain quiet. “Now I can see you properly.”
Heat rushed to your cheeks, and you scrambled to find words, but your mind went blank. His hand lingered for a brief moment before he pulled away, and the faint smile he gave you sent your heart racing.
In that moment, everything else faded away—the sounds of the park and even Yeontan’s soft breathing seemed to disappear. You wondered if he could hear how loudly your heart was beating.
You both sat there quietly for a while, with Yeontan curled up between you. It felt like a snapshot of the past, a brief reminder of simpler times before life got more complicated.
But before long, the moment was disrupted. A red car pulled up nearby, and you recognized the girl stepping out—Sana. Of course, it had to be her. With her stylish cap and polished look, she approached like she owned the place.
“Hey, Jungkook! What’s taking you so long to grab Yeontan?” she called out, shattering the peaceful moment you had shared with Jungkook.
Jungkook stood up, brushing off his jeans as if to shake off the experience you’d just had. “I’ve got to go now,” he said, a hint of regret in his voice. “It was really nice talking to you again.”
“Yeah, sure,” you replied, trying to keep your tone casual despite the whirlwind of feelings inside you. “Time to go now, buddy,” you said softly to Yeontan, giving the little dog one last affectionate pat.
Jungkook sank back onto the bench, his smile brightening the moment as he gently took Yeontan’s paw and waved it toward you. “Bye, Yeontan,” you said, unable to suppress the flicker of a smile that danced on your lips despite the weight in your chest.
When Jungkook got on the passenger seat, Sana suddenly whispered to Jungkook, making them like they are kissing on your view, which made Jungkook laugh. You quickly dropped your gaze back to your book, pretending not to notice, acting as if it didn’t bother you. But it did. It always did.
The car pulled away, taking them with it, leaving you alone once again with only your book and the lingering ache in your chest.

The office was filled with a low hum of activity, with the sounds of papers being shuffled and keyboards tapping away. You were sitting at your usual desk, surrounded by notes, layout plans, and playlists for the upcoming graduation celebration. It was your last year of school, and as the leader of the organizing committee, you were determined to make the event truly special.
“Hey, Y/N, have you had lunch yet?” a familiar voice cut through your concentration.
Looking up, you saw Namjoon standing there with a warm smile, holding a neatly packed lunchbox.
“I’ll eat later. I was thinking of heading to the cafeteria,” you replied, forcing a tired smile.
“No need for that,” he said, placing the box down in front of you. “I brought you lunch. You’ve been working yourself to the bone lately.”
“Thanks, that really means a lot,” you said, genuinely appreciative.
“Not a problem. You deserve it,” he replied, pulling up a chair to sit next to you. “By the way, have you heard anything about your application to your dream school?”
You leaned back in your chair with a sigh. “No news yet. I’m just waiting and hoping for that scholarship. It all depends on this.”
Namjoon nodded, his expression confident. “You’ll get it. I believe in you.”
“I hope you’re right,” you said quietly, feeling the pressure weighing on you.
“It’s you, Y/N. You’ve been juggling so much—school, committee duties, everything. If anyone can handle it, it’s you,” he said earnestly, and his encouragement brought a small smile to your face.
You talked about school and Namjoon’s plans for college, enjoying the easy flow of conversation. For a moment, the stress you were feeling seemed to lift.
“So… about prom?” he asked casually, tilting his head. “Are you going? Has anyone asked you to go with them?”
You hesitated, playing with your pen. “Not yet. I’m not sure I’ll even go.”
“Why not?” he inquired.
“I’ve been so busy, and I really need to focus on studying for the scholarship. That’s what’s most important for me right now,” you explained, looking away.
Namjoon frowned a little but nodded in understanding. “I get it. But you know… you’ve worked really hard. Maybe you deserve one night to just have fun. Prom is an important event, especially for someone like you who’s given so much to this school. Just think about it, okay?”
You smiled softly, touched by his concern. “Thanks, Namjoon. I’ll think about it.”
He stood up and gave you a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “Good. Now eat your lunch. You need the energy for everything you’re handling.”
As he walked away, you looked down at the lunchbox and smiled to yourself. Namjoon always seemed to know exactly what you needed, even when you didn’t realize it yourself.

Weeks passed, and the gentle light of your desk lamp lit up the messy spread of notes and open textbooks in front of you. You had been studying for hours, going over every possible topic for the entrance exam—a big test that could determine whether you got into your dream school. The clock struck midnight, but you were so focused that you barely noticed the time.
Even so, thoughts of prom kept sneaking into your mind. It wasn’t just that your friend Namjoon had encouraged you to go; it was the fact that prom, the highlight of your senior year, was happening on the same day as your exam. The test was in the morning, and there would be time to get ready afterward, but you wondered if it was worth the rush. Should you focus on your future or let yourself enjoy one night of celebration after all your hard work?
Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a door open from the other side. You saw Jungkook walked into his room, his hair slightly damp, probably from football practice, and his gym bag hanging over his shoulder. He looked a mix of tired and effortlessly cool.
You quickly turned your attention back to your notes, trying not to seem obvious, but you could sense that he was watching you. When you glanced up again, you noticed him grab a notepad and a marker from his desk. He wrote something down and held it up to his window.
“Are you going to prom tomorrow?”
You froze for a moment, caught off guard by his direct question. Slowly, you grabbed your notepad and wrote back:
“No, studying.”
He read your response and his expression changed—was that disappointment? He sighed and quickly wrote another note, a small smile appearing on his face as he held it up:
“Wish you were"
Your heart skipped a beat. The simplicity of his words affected you more than you anticipated. You smiled back, feeling a mix of flattery and frustration. Prom had only been a distant thought until now, but Jungkook’s quiet hope made you reconsider.
You stood up and waved goodbye, signaling that you were heading downstairs for dinner. Your mom greeted you warmly and asked how your studying was going. You nodded, trying to focus on the meal in front of you, but your mind was elsewhere. Between the entrance exam, the upcoming prom, and Jungkook’s note, you felt like you were at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take.
That morning, your mom took you to the university for an important exam. The car ride felt both long and too short at the same time, with the scenery rushing by as your nerves tightened. This was the moment you had been working towards after many sleepless nights and self-imposed pressure. There was no turning back now.
“I know you’re feeling anxious, sweetheart,” your mom said gently. “But no matter what happens, I’m proud of you. And your dad? He would be so happy.”
You nodded, trying to push down the lump in your throat. Her comforting words eased your anxiety, even as your mind raced with worries about what could go wrong.
When you entered the exam hall, the quietness was almost overwhelming. Other students, just as nervous as you, bent over their papers. Once the exam started, it was just you, the questions in front of you, and your pen. You poured all your effort into each answer, determined to do your best.
As you walked out of the hall afterwards, doubt began to creep in. Did I do enough? you wondered. You took a deep breath and reminded yourself, “I’ve done my best. Now it’s in the hands of fate.”
Back home after lunch, you tried to distract yourself from the exam, but the thoughts kept returning. It wasn’t until exactly 1:00 PM, hours later, that your phone buzzed with a notification. An email awaited you.
Your heart raced as you opened it, and the words “Admission Results” jumped out at you. As you read through the letter, one word stood out: Congratulations.
“Oh my God,” you gasped, and then exclaimed more loudly, “I passed!”
Your mom rushed in, startled by your shout. When she saw the email on your screen, her face lit up with joy. You both started jumping around the room, laughing and crying together.
“I’m so proud of you,” she said, wrapping you in a warm hug. “Your dad would be so proud too. I just know it.”
Later, in your room, you began to imagine the life ahead of you at your dream school. New friends, exciting opportunities, and a fresh place to learn and grow. The possibilities felt endless, and for the first time in a long while, you felt truly excited about the future.
Your daydream was interrupted by a loud knock on your door. Startled, you turned to see someone you didn’t expect: Sana.
— ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ —
She stood in the doorway, exuding her usual confidence, but her face was hard to read. "We need to talk," she said, crossing her arms.
The happiness from your recent achievement quickly faded as you wondered what she wanted. You stood frozen at your door, staring at Sana, completely shocked by her unexpected visit. It felt like ages since she’d last been in your house, let alone your room.
“What are you doing here?” you finally managed to ask, still trying to process her sudden appearance.
Instead of giving a straight answer, she crossed her arms and shot you an intense glare, her voice trembling with emotion. “How could you just leave me in this town? I thought we were going to college together!”
Her outburst hit you hard. “People change, Sana. Plans change. Everything changes,” you replied, trying to keep your voice steady even as your heart raced.
“You didn’t even tell me?” she said, her eyes shimmering with tears that threatened to overflow.
You let out a heavy breath, feeling the weight of this tense moment. “How was I supposed to? We weren't really on good terms.”
Without another word, she walked past you, frustration clear in her body language, and sat down on the edge of your bed. “So what? Just because we weren’t talking doesn’t mean you could just vanish on me. Even if we were both acting foolish, you could’ve at least figured out a way to let me know.”
You followed her, feeling unsure whether to comfort her or give her some space. “How did you even find out I was going to another school? I’m not even sure I could pass the entrance exam.”
Sana wiped her eyes, and her frustration melted into vulnerability. “I overheard your mom mentioning it…and Jungkook told me too. And you think so little of yourself. Do you hate me that much?”
Her words cut deep. “I don’t hate you, Sana,” you replied softly, feeling your heart ache with her pain. “I’m really sorry.”
“I’m sorry too, Y/N,” she responded, her voice shaking. “I know I haven't treated you well this year. I—” Her voice broke as she buried her face in her hands, regret washing over her like a tidal wave.
You paused for a moment but then sat down next to her. “I was going to send you a letter,” you admitted. “To explain everything before graduation.”
“A letter?” she repeated, her eyes widening with curiosity. “Let me see it!”
With a heavy heart, you opened your cabinet and took out a box filled with letters you had written to people who had meant a lot to you. With shaky hands, you handed one to her.
As she started to read the letter, you noticed her expression change. Tears filled her eyes as she processed the words you had written from deep within your heart. “Y/N, I had no idea you felt this way. I’m so sorry for making you feel alone. If I could go back in time... I would give up cheerleading if it meant keeping you in my life.”
“Please don’t say that,” you replied quickly, your voice filled with urgency. “Cheerleading was your dream. I regret not being more supportive. I should have been there for you.”
Sana shook her head, a realization dawning upon her. “And I should have been there for you, too. I had no idea what you were going through with your dad’s illness. I thought you were pushing me away, but really, I just wasn’t paying attention.”
The two of you sat together, unpacking the hurt and misunderstandings that had built up over the past year. You shared how your father's health struggles had taken over your life, creating a distance you didn’t know how to overcome. Sana opened up about feeling lost when you stopped responding to her messages, believing you no longer cared about her.
“Remember that time we were supposed to hang out? I saw you hugging Jungkook, and I… I thought maybe you didn’t need me anymore,” you reminded her, the memory still vivid.
Sana’s eyes widened in surprise. “Jungkook? Oh my God, Y/N, he was just comforting me! I was upset about my parents fighting, that’s all!”
As the ridiculousness of it all hit both of you, laughter erupted, slowly easing the tension that had lingered for so long.
“And then,” you added, “I got a call from the hospital. My dad was in surgery, and I couldn’t stay.”
Sana’s expression softened, guilt showing on her face. “I thought you ditched me. I waited for you until I couldn’t anymore.”
When you finally returned home after your dad’s funeral, you had wanted to explain everything, but seeing Sana laughing with her new cheerleading friends had hurt you deeply. “I thought you’d moved on,” you admitted, trying to hold back the pain you still felt.
Sana groaned and covered her face, genuine sorrow washing over her. “We were so foolish.”
You nodded, a smile starting to emerge despite everything. “Yeah, we were.”
As the laughter faded, the weight of the past year began to lift, replaced by a sense of ease that had been absent for so long. Hours passed as you both reminisced, catching up on everything you had missed in each other’s lives. When you looked at the clock, you were surprised to see it was already 4 PM.
“Wow,” Sana said, leaning back with a playful sigh. “We just spent hours untangling a whole year’s worth of misunderstandings. Classic us.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle, feeling lighter than you had in a long time. “Classic us! So, what’s next? How are things going with you and Jungkook?”
Sana's face shifted to one of mock shock. “Me and Jungkook? Oh, no! I think you mean me and his best friend.”
Your brow furrowed in confusion. “Wait, Kim Taehyung? Jungkook’s best friend?”
A sheepish smile appeared on Sana’s face. “Yep! Don't act so surprised. I was always around Jungkook because Taehyung and I... well, there’s definitely more happening there than with Jungkook.”
Your mouth dropped open. “Really? This whole time I thought—”
“Thought what? That Jungkook and I were secretly in love?” Sana laughed dramatically. “Ew, no! He’s like a brother to me. Gross.”
You felt a wave of relief, though a hint of irritation bubbled up too. “Well, how was I supposed to know? You two always hung out, and there was that time you called him ‘babe’ during the football game!”
Sana grinned mischievously. “Oh, that? Totally just messing with you. I wanted to see if you get jealous.”
“Jealous?” you repeated, feeling heat rise to your cheeks. “Why would I be jealous?”
“Oh, come on, Y/N. It’s obvious. I have known you since we were little, and you have liked Jungkook since middle school, right?”
You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. “You’re the worst.”
“And you’re just in denial about it. It’s painful to watch,” she teased.
Before you could respond, Sana leaned in closer and said, “But honestly, your face every time I was with him? Not subtle at all.”
“Well, excuse me for being human,” you muttered, glaring at her.
Sana just smirked. “Anyway, there’s nothing between me and Jungkook, but there’s definitely something between him and you.”
Your heart raced at her words, but you quickly shook your head. “You’re imagining things.”
Sana rolled her eyes. “Right. I’m the one imagining this. Not the girl who’s been crushing on Jungkook for years.”
“Can we talk about something else, please?” you begged.
“Nope! You can’t get out of this. People always thought we were a couple, but it’s silly because there’s nothing there. The only person I’m into is Taehyung.”
You blinked, trying to grasp all the new information. “So... you and Taehyung?”
“Yep!” she said, grinning. “Don’t worry; I’ll make sure Jungkook knows you’re interested. Not that he doesn’t already.”
“Sana!” you shouted, throwing a pillow at her.
You both burst into laughter, the earlier tension completely gone. For the first time in ages, things felt normal between you and Sana, just like they used to be.
Suddenly, Sana spoke up enthusiastically, crossing her arms like it was settled. “You need to go to this prom!”
You sighed, leaning back against your bed. “No way. I’m not ready for this. I don’t have a dress, I didn’t make plans, and prom starts at 6 PM. Do you even know what time it is?”
Sana rolled her eyes dramatically. “Seriously, Y/N? You know they never start right at 6.”
That made you laugh. “Okay, true.”
“But I still don’t have a dress!” you protested, looking down at your jeans and oversized hoodie. “Even if I did, it's too late to get ready now.”
Sana grinned mischievously and dashed out the door. “Don’t worry! We’re the same size, remember? I’ll grab a dress from my place and be back in no time. Bye!”
Before you could argue, she was gone, leaving you surprised and somewhat amused.
As you leaned back, you reflected on how just hours ago, you wouldn’t have imagined reconnecting with Sana and laughing like old times. Life can be full of surprises.
Moments later, Sana burst through your door, a garment bag draped over her arm, grinning widely. You perked up, but then noticed what she held—a white sparkly long gown.
“Wait a second,” you said, narrowing your eyes. “Where’s the other dress? I thought we were going together!”
Sana winced, her smile faltering. “About that... I actually have plans tonight. With Taehyung.”
Your jaw dropped. “You’re skipping prom for a guy?”
She raised her hands in mock defense, laughing. “I’m sorry! I can’t help it; I’m just a flawed human!”
You couldn’t help but laugh along, shaking your head at her antics. “Fine, but you owe me—big time.”
Sana smirked and shoved the garment bag into your arms. “Deal! Now go take a shower. We have a lot to do to make you look stunning.”
Rolling your eyes, you grabbed the bag and headed for the bathroom. “You better not do anything weird while I’m gone.”
“Me? Weird? Never!” Sana feigned innocence.
But as soon as you closed the bathroom door, you could hear her giggling outside.
Curiosity got the better of her. Her eyes landed on a small stack of letters sitting on your desk, and one in particular caught her attention. It had Jungkook’s name written on the envelope.
She hesitated for a moment, then grabbed it. “Curiosity kills the cat, but satisfaction brings it back,” she muttered as she opened the letter.
As she read, a sly smile spread across her face. “Oh, this is perfect.” With a sparkle of mischief in her eyes, she tucked the letter into her bag, already planning how to make her night—and yours—unforgettable.
When you returned from your shower, wrapped in a towel and ready to get started, Sana was all business. “Alright, sit down. Let’s work some magic.”
The next hour was a flurry of hairspray, brushes, and accessories as Sana worked diligently, turning you into someone who looked ready for a fairytale. By the time she was done, you hardly recognized yourself in the mirror.
“Oh my god,” Sana exclaimed, stepping back to admire her work. “You’re gorgeous! I’m so proud to call you my friend.”
You rolled your eyes, feeling your cheeks warm. “Stop it, Sana. You’re just flattering me.”
“I’m serious, Y/N. You look amazing.”
Before you could respond, there was a knock at the door. Your mom peeked in, her eyes going wide in surprise.
“Wow,” she said, placing a hand on her chest. “You’re... stunning, my darling.”
“Thanks, Mom,” you replied, trying to hide your blush.
“I thought you weren’t going,” she added, tilting her head in confusion.
“Change of plans,” you said casually.
Your mom turned to Sana. “What about you? Aren’t you going out?”
Sana grinned, ready with her excuse. “I have something important to do tonight.”
You smirked, catching onto the little fib. “Yeah, important,” you teased quietly, getting a playful shove from Sana in return.
As your mom stepped out, Sana handed you your sandals, the final touch, and gave you an encouraging smile. “Alright, Cinderella, it’s time for the ball. It’s almost 7 PM!”

Jungkook tapped his fingers on the steering wheel as he waited at a red light. The lights from the cars in front of him blurred as his thoughts drifted back to a note he had received from you the night before. It simply said, “No, studying.” It was straightforward and so very “you.” You were focused on your future and not swayed by a high school dance. That dedication was just one of the many things he admired about you—your ability to stay on track and ignore distractions.
But part of him selfishly wished you would go to the dance. It wasn’t about the glitz and glamour; he just wanted to see you there, enjoying yourself for once. You had worked so hard all year, and no one deserved a moment of fun more than you. And if he was honest, he simply wanted to see you smile.
He laughed quietly to himself, shaking his head at his own thoughts. What was he imagining? He wasn’t your boyfriend or anything like that. He was just your neighbor, your friend—the guy who chatted with you casually and often caught glimpses of you through your room window when your light turned on.
A car behind him honked, snapping him back to reality. The light had changed to green. He pressed the gas and moved forward, only to hear his phone buzz in the passenger seat. He took a quick look at the screen during the next stop—texts from Sana.
Sana: Sorry, I’m gonna ditch you tonight. Sorry not sorry.
Sana: But I’ve got something to give you right now. Please meet me. Thanks.
Jungkook sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and disappointment. He wasn’t surprised that Sana had backed out. It was typical of her behavior, probably running off for some adventure with Taehyung. He didn’t really care; he didn’t have high hopes for the night anyway. The excitement of prom had faded the moment you decided not to attend.
Still, the weight of his disappointment settled deeper in his heart. For a brief moment, he had imagined that tonight could be special—his chance to finally tell you how he felt. It was his last year of high school, and if he didn’t speak up now, he might never get the chance.
With a sigh, Jungkook turned his car toward Sana’s house. His thoughts raced, torn between the reality of you not being there and the small, foolish hope that maybe—just maybe—you might change your mind and show up. Although, he thought bitterly, what were the chances you felt the same way about him?
Yet, there was a little voice in the back of his mind encouraging him to take the risk. To go for it, even if it meant putting everything on the line. Because if not tonight, then when would he ever find the courage to say anything?
It all started when you moved into the neighborhood. Jungkook had heard some talk at school about a new student joining their class, but honestly, he didn’t care much about gossip. That changed one afternoon when Jungkook found himself in a bad mood after spilling his favorite treat—banana milk. As he grumbled about how his day couldn’t get any worse, you appeared, handing him a fresh carton with a simple, “Here.”
At that moment, Jungkook thought you might be an angel. He didn’t know you well yet, but your quiet kindness left a mark on him. It wasn’t something big or flashy, just a small gesture of support that meant a lot. From then on, you became friends—not best friends like you were with Sana, but close enough for him to pick up on little things about you, like how much you loved reading, how your face lit up when you talked about your favorite subjects, and how determined you were in everything you did.
You were one of the few who encouraged him to take photos, aside from his dad. When Jungkook got a camera for his birthday, he was excited that you agreed to model for him. Over time, you became one of his favorite people to photograph. There was something special about the way you carried yourself—elegant yet strong—that made every picture meaningful.
As time went on, Jungkook noticed a change in you. He would see you walking home from school, looking down and seeming to shut the world out. It wasn’t until later that he found out the truth: your father had passed away after being ill for a long time. Jungkook wanted to reach out, but you had withdrawn from school and social life. He understood that you needed time alone to grieve. Still, he couldn’t shake the concern he felt. Things had changed between you and Sana too; you weren’t talking as much anymore, and Jungkook wondered what had shifted.
He thought about asking Sana about it, but hesitated. It didn’t feel right since she had her own things going on. For a while, Jungkook even thought Sana was interested in him because she was always around, laughing and chatting. But soon he realized her attention was focused on his best friend, Taehyung. Ever since he introduced them, Sana had been trying to get Taehyung’s attention, and Jungkook ended up as her unintentional sidekick.
That sometimes frustrated him, especially when Sana interrupted moments he wanted to share with you. Like that one day you were sitting together on a bench while he was walking Taehyung’s dog, Yeontan, who had a lot of energy. Suddenly, Yeontan broke free and darted away, and Jungkook had rushed to catch him, unexpectedly running right into you. At that moment, it felt like fate.
When senior year began, you returned as a new person—stronger and more confident, with a spark in your eyes that caught everyone’s attention. As the newly elected student leader, you tackled every challenge with determination. Jungkook watched in awe. How could someone who had faced so much come back even brighter? When he found out you were watching the school’s big football game, he played like it was the most important game of his life. Every move was made with the thought of impressing you. When the team won, he secretly hoped that you had noticed him.
But it wasn’t just your accomplishments that captivated him. It was the way you hummed while studying, the light in your eyes when discussing your future, and your unwavering determination. The more time Jungkook spent with you, the deeper his feelings grew.
It wasn’t just a crush anymore. It felt complicated and overwhelming, and he couldn’t ignore it. But along with those feelings came frustration. Jungkook often felt unworthy of you. You were amazing in every way, while he thought of himself as just Jungkook. Even when he tried to pull away from his feelings, they would rush back, like waves that wouldn’t stop.
Jungkook arrived at Sana’s house, where she greeted him with a big smile. She held up an envelope, waving it around excitedly.
“Here,” she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Make sure you read this at the prom. Or else.”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. “Or else what?”
Sana leaned in, lowering her voice for dramatic effect. “Or else I’ll share that karaoke video of you singing ‘Baby Shark’ at the top of your lungs last summer.”
Jungkook groaned, grabbing the envelope from her. “Seriously? That was for my little cousin’s party!”
“Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that,” she teased, barely holding back her laughter. “Now go! And don’t mess this up.”
— ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ — — ♡ —
After your mom insisted on giving you a ride and your friend Sana decided not to come with you for some unclear reason, you figured a late arrival would be alright. As you walked into the venue, the lively music greeted you, and then you spotted Namjoon, who had a huge, welcoming smile on his face.
“Oh, wow, you actually made it!” he exclaimed, practically lifting you off the ground with his excitement.
“Someone talked me into it,” you replied, thinking about Sana’s enthusiastic pep talk earlier.
“Whoever that is, I owe them one! By the way, how did your entrance exam go?”
You smiled. “I passed!”
His face lit up even more. “Oh my god, I knew you would! I’m so proud of you!”
“Should we celebrate?”
And celebrate you did. The night turned into a blur of music, dancing, and laughter. Namjoon had a knack for making everything feel light and fun. For the first time in what felt like ages, you felt like yourself again—free from stress and the heaviness of the past year.
But even while dancing and singing along to the songs, you couldn’t help but wonder about Jungkook. You remembered Sana saying he was supposed to be here—and even more confusing, that he was going to be her partner. The thought of him with her nagged at you, even though she had assured you there was nothing romantic going on.
Why are you even thinking about him? you thought, scolding yourself. Just because Sana said everything is fine doesn’t mean he feels the same way about you. Your thoughts were interrupted when Namjoon handed you a drink and pulled you back into the moment. “Come on, no sad thoughts tonight!” he said, grinning widely.
You laughed and accepted the drink, allowing yourself to be swept up in the music and the joy of the evening. Whatever happened later, you decided, could wait until tomorrow. For now, you were going to dance the night away.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was sitting away from the dance floor with his football teammates, lazily holding a drink. He wasn’t really paying attention to what they were saying until Jimin leaned over with a cheeky grin.
“Hey, I just saw Y/N on the dance floor,” Jimin said casually, almost like he didn’t just drop a huge surprise.
Jungkook sat up straight, surprised. “You’re not kidding, right?”
“Nope,” Jimin replied, dragging out the word for more suspense. “But... she’s with Namjoon.”
The smile that had started to form on Jungkook’s face vanished. Of course you were with Namjoon. He felt a familiar wave of jealousy wash over him, even though he knew it was silly—there was nothing romantic between you two, right? Still, he couldn’t help his mind from racing.
As he glanced down at the dance floor, he spotted you right away. You were laughing, your face bright in the colorful lights as you danced with carefree joy. Despite the sting in his chest, Jungkook couldn’t help but smile. You looked so happy, and that mattered to him.
“She looks amazing,” he thought, feeling a bit of a ache in his heart.
Jimin leaned closer, grinning playfully. “You’re so down bad, man. When are you going to tell her? Keeping it inside for years is painful to watch.”
“Shut up, Jimin,” Jungkook muttered, grabbing the drink from Jimin’s hand and standing up quickly.
As he walked away, something slipped from his pocket and fell to the floor.
“Uh, Jungkook? You dropped something,” Jimin called out, picking it up.
Jungkook turned around, snatching the envelope before Jimin could look closer and shoved it back into his pocket.
He made his way to the restroom, his thoughts racing. After closing the door behind him, he leaned against the sink and pulled out the envelope again.
He had completely forgotten about it in the excitement of the night. Slowly, he opened it, curiosity bubbling inside him. As he read the first few lines, his breath caught in his throat.
You excused yourself, telling Namjoon that you needed a break and wanted to find the comfort room. He nodded and kindly pointed you in the right direction. As you walked away from the crowd, the noise of the venue faded slightly, and you welcomed the moment of solitude.
But before you could push the door open, you stopped in your tracks. Jungkook was standing there, looking like he’d just seen a ghost. His eyes widened as they met yours. You gave him a small wave, unsure of what to make of his expression, but before you could say anything, he grabbed your wrist and gently pulled you outside.
“Jungkook, wait! What’s going on?” you protested, but he didn’t stop until you were far away from the venue, out of sight and earshot of the crowd.
Finally, you tugged your arm free, your breath slightly uneven. “What’s going on? Why did you bring me here?”
He looked at you, his jaw tightening like he was wrestling with something he couldn’t hold back any longer. Then he blurted out, “Do you still like me?”
You froze. “Pardon?”
“Do you have feelings for me?” His voice was more urgent this time, his eyes searching yours.
“What—Jungkook, I’m confused! What’s happening?” you stammered, until your gaze dropped to his hand. He was holding something—a letter. A very familiar letter. Your heart sank. No, this can’t be happening, you thought.
“Where did you get that?” Your voice was barely above a whisper. It was the letter. The one you wrote when you thought you had no chance with him. The one you hesitated to give because it felt too vulnerable, too raw. And now, he was holding it.
Dear Jungkook,
There’s so much I’ve been meaning to say, but I never quite found the right moment—or maybe I just didn’t have the courage. You’ve been such an important part of my life, and honestly, I can’t imagine it without you.
We’ve known each other for so long, and I still remember the little things—like the time when we were kids, and you cried because your favorite drink spilled. I gave you mine, and you smiled like the world was okay again. It might sound silly, but that moment has stayed with me.
As time has passed, I’ve come to realize that my feelings for you have deepened in ways I didn’t expect. Maybe it was during those awkward moments in middle school when you were there to help me out without making things weird. Your kindness in those moments really meant the world to me and made me like you even more.
I want to assure you that I’m not writing this to complicate our friendship because that means the world to me. I just felt it was time to be honest, especially with all the buzz around you and Sana. Regardless of what’s happening between you two, your happiness is what truly matters to me. She’s great, and you deserve nothing but the best.
Most of all, I want to thank you. Thank you for being my friend, for capturing memories through your photos when I didn’t know how to see myself, and for being there when I needed someone, even if I didn’t realize it at the time. Thank you for being a part of my dad’s life as well—I know he would be proud of the person you’re becoming.
I’m sorry for the times when I pushed you away or made it hard to talk. I know you wanted to connect, and I regret not opening up sooner. You know I’ve had my struggles, but I hope we can still be just like before.
No matter what happens, I hope you always choose what makes you happiest. You deserve that, Jungkook. I hope I’ll get to see you thriving, chasing your dreams, and smiling that smile that makes everything feel okay.
See you around.
Love,
Y/N
You should’ve known better. She always had a knack for getting involved in things she shouldn't, and this time was no different.
“Answer me,” Jungkook urged again, his voice softer now but still serious.
You took a deep breath, your heart racing. “Yes, Jungkook. I did have feelings for you,” you confessed, your voice shaking. “And... I still do.”
Before you could say anything else, Jungkook stepped closer, pressing his lips to yours in a kiss that was gentle yet charged, filled with all the feelings he hadn’t found the words for. It felt like time stopped, the noise of everyone else fading away until there was just the two of you.
When he pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, and he smiled—a real, open smile that lit up his face. “I like you too, Y/N. I’ve liked you for so long. I just… didn’t know how to tell you.”
Your breath caught, not in surprise this time, but in the overwhelming realization that maybe, just maybe, this was the moment you had been waiting for.
He kissed you again, and it felt deeper and more passionate, your mouths moving together as if they’d always belonged that way. Jungkook pulled back slightly, both of you catching your breath while still holding onto each other, his eyes shining with joy. "I can't believe this is actually happening," he murmured.
You raised an eyebrow, still reeling from everything. "Neither can I. You dragged me out here, kissed me, and now what? Do we just head back to prom like nothing happened?"
As you stood there with Jungkook, still processing everything, a voice crackled over the speakers from inside the venue.
“Attention, everyone! The moment you’ve all been waiting for—the announcement of our prom king and queen!”
You turned to Jungkook, your hand still in his. “We should probably head back.”
Jungkook shook his head, grinning. “As if I’d win prom king. And there’s no way you'd win, unless you consideration of just how breathtaking you are tonight."
You tilted your head, smirking. “What if I do win prom queen? Don’t you want to be there for my big moment?”
You both laughed at the thought. But before you could say anything else, the emcee’s voice rang out.
“And this year’s prom king is… Mr. Jeon Jungkook!”
You both froze. You stared at him in disbelief. “No way.”
Jungkook blinked, confused. “Did they—? Are we hearing the same thing?”
The crowd inside erupted with cheers, and before Jungkook could react, the emcee continued, “And this year’s prom queen is none other than Ms. Y/N L/N!”
Your jaw dropped as you looked at Jungkook, astonished. “Okay, now I know this is a joke. Sana definitely set this up.”
Jungkook grabbed your hand and began leading you back toward the venue. “Well, come on, Your Majesty. Let’s go claim our crowns!”
As you entered the hall, all eyes turned to you, clapping and cheering. Jungkook’s friends were the loudest, practically bouncing with excitement.
You and Jungkook were brought up onto the stage, where the emcee placed crowns on your heads. Jungkook leaned down and whispered, “I guess we’re more popular than we thought.”
You snorted, trying not to laugh in front of everyone.
As the first notes of a slow song filled the air, the emcee gestured to the dance floor. “And now, the prom king and queen’s dance!”
Jungkook extended his hand to you, his grin widening. “Shall we, Your Highness?”
You rolled your eyes playfully but took his hand. “Let’s not trip over our crowns, Your Majesty.”
As you both danced under the sparkling lights, the crowd faded into the background, leaving just the two of you. This wasn’t just any dance—it was a moment that felt timeless, a memory forming in your heart.
You hadn’t even wanted to come tonight, yet here you were, wrapped in Jungkook’s warm embrace, feeling as if everything had led to this unexpected moment. Looking into his eyes, you understood—this wasn’t just the end of the night; it was the start of something even greater.
For the first time, it all made sense. Like two pieces of a puzzle that had been searching for each other, you fit together effortlessly, naturally, as if this was where you always belong to each other.
end.

the day I saw your eyes, I stayed
jude bellingham x reader
warnings: none, just a tad of sexual tension, yeah
note: there is going to be part 2! I planned to write the whole story in one shot but I gotta go to sleep now and was too excited about this rubbish (jk, I love it tbh). And he scored today, whoop sorry for any mistakes!!!!
Rose got herself a new boyfriend. The name brought up in presence of your girlfriends caused much of a fuss. It was a grand revelation and as much as it surprised you as well, you did not share the enthusiasm as every other girl in the room. Not because you felt envious, jealousy was never your thing, you rather grew worrisome. The excitation over the fact that Rose secured herself a football player of such range – famous, a hot topic, high quality player, one of the most valuable characters in the England national team, highly payed, and to add to that: uncommonly gorgeous - absolutely knocked your friends of their feet, but to you… To you it was a sign of massive trouble. People like him belonged to a world where individuals had their impeccable ways to draw from their fame, money and phenomenon as much as they could, despite the morality or ethics. Rose always mingled among various groups of people, there were musicians, actors, even politicians. She was a lovely girl, very pretty, her modelling career developed quickly, spectacularly. But she still haven’t made her name the way she aimed to. You suspected the boys she chose were always an occasion, a special addition to make her reach for more, to be seen, to feel special and unique. She was determined, regardless of the consequences, regardless of the fact how many times she has suffered and burned herself even almost to the point of absolute destruction. It felt awful to even reminisce it. But that’s how it’s been so far, it was the path she has chosen. Although this time this whole situation felt much different, there was a spark in her eyes that could tell you many things. But you would define it this way: she intended to hold onto him, she wanted to keep him. He seemed like the greatest prize. But who would have thought that the massive trouble you feared from the very start would be your burden to deal with?
Jude Bellingham.
Girls were over the moon when the time has come and Rose invited you all to join them in a private lounge in one of the most exclusive clubs in London. You scoffed when you heard the name of the place, you remembered the time when you and Lucia tried to sneak in there, but the bodyguard was too smart to fall for your theatrics. Only precisely selected people could party there. It was one of those grand and fancy places. So you found yourself invited, at last. Yet you weren’t very thrilled about the way you were about to spend your Saturday night. It turned out you would be the only single person there.
And him? The man, the hot topic himself? He was taller than you envisioned, maybe the hair added to that? His smile truly was bright, he was well built, broad shoulders, but not too muscular, well, he was an athlete. The Brummie dialect annoyed you at the start, but the itch seemed to cease as you payed attention to the tone of his voice, there was nothing particular about it, it was just right, good, not screechy, not too deep just… pleasant. He was an amiable guy, you thought to yourself, polite and friendly at the first contact. You realised you were a careful observer until he turned to you to greet. Now you were very much noticed, now you had to act as a part of the events, not a shadow and analyser. And situation very much changed. Time seemed to slow down so suddenly, you found yourself in the strangest state of unconsciousness, like a scene in a movie where the background blurs and any noise is muted, when the spectator is deprived of any other senses despite the sight to notice those specific details that are supposed to made him feel the sublimity of a given moment. And the source of it was in his eyes, you realised, and the way he smiled softly as he extended his hand to you. It was strange and disturbing, his eyes seemed to be the darkest ones you’ve ever seen, but you most definitely had seen eyes like his before, no doubt about it. You took a breath, blinked, fought to not fall into this depth that almost sucked you in. He was smiling, now something slightly impudent about it, and you realised he truly was stunningly gorgeous. Strangely, insanely attractive. Just a simple look into his eyes made you stumble into a realisation that there was something different about this man. And it frightened you.
You did say your name back, did you?
As the night went by you decided to stay in your attentive observer state. You felt safer there, although decency inquired you to engage in few conversations with your friends. Tonight you felt tense, carefully sipping the wine, you tried with all your might to relax and stop examining so intensely the boy seated opposite you. Few new conclusions you came into in the last hour was the fact that he was a great interlocutor, he listened as well, and his smile was one of the most pleasurable things you’ve experienced in your lifetime. You just couldn’t take your eyes off. And another conclusion was that him and Rose was nothing of exclusive. No lingering stares, no secret touches. After all, they met quite recently. She wondered if she bagged him already. And if so, would they all be there if she did? He did not seem like the kind to make such effort to get himself a girl he was not seriously interested in. Rose was not the type to act restrained and unavailable. She crawled into many beds the first night she met someone. You kept yourself far from casual hook-ups and one night stands, just a simple thought of it made you uncomfortable. But for her it was a common thing, if you could use such words. So, was he really interested?
After a while all of your friends decided to use the night to the fullest as the alcohol finally kicked in, rushing to the dancefloor and you truly couldn’t find the spur to join them. You were seriously thinking about taking a French leave. And you almost succeeded.
“You’re not enjoying yourself much, are you?” a well known voice reached you from behind and you turned your head in its direction.
Something in your gut jumped as you spotted Jude. He took a seat beside you. You smiled as his scent reached you, fresh, citrus with addition of something stronger and… alluring.
“I’ve had a long day. Tired, I guess” a safe and simple answer.
His full attention was on you, no one here to accompany you. It begun to feel overwhelming because you did not expected his gaze to be so intense.
“I know the feeling. Find myself in a constant state of weariness lately, cannot get rid of it” he played with his glass, the liquid looked like orange juice.
“Well, you live quite the fast and exciting life” you noted, observing as the corner of his mouth rose a little at your comment.
“Where are you from?” he asked, not continuing the subject you just raised.
“Here, London, born and raised” you smiled again before lowering your gaze, finding the glass of wine interesting “Became as gloomy and morose as this city”
“I wouldn’t describe you with such words” his voice was soft when he said it, something itched in you to ask what words would he use to describe you, but raising the glass of wine up to your lips saved you from that. You hoped you didn’t blush.
“My grandmother always says that I’m an old soul. Emphasizes it like it’s a virtue” you continued.
“That’s a very interesting thing to say about someone. Mine says that I’m a lovely companion although I use way too foul language and it’s scandalous” he frowned funnily and you laughed at the information, he quickly accompanied you.
“Well, I haven’t yet got the occasion to hear some of that tonight”
“I’m trying to be a gentleman” he murmured “It would be improper to throw fucks around in presence of a pretty girl” a lively glint in his eyes as he looked at you.
Now you definitely blushed.
The conversation flowed from there, and you realised you grew more comfortable with each passing minute. He truly was a great listener, and a good companion. He made you laugh many times and suddenly you stopped regretting leaving your apartment for this night out. He was not daft or arrogant as you might have presumed before you met him, being smothered by all this money he had and a name he’s gotten himself at such young age. The complexity of his persona could be spotted in his eyes as you payed closer attention, but it was his words and the way he picked on any subject you brought, that expressed his maturity and wide perception. You haven’t met a guy like him in a long time.
“What are you guys doing here? Come on down, join us!” it was Charlotte’s comment as she came to the longue after a while.
You haven’t even realised how much time has passed and how much alcohol you have already poured into yourself. You only picked on that as you stood up, dizziness hit you like lighting but you composed yourself, agreeing on Charlotte’s and then Jude’s proposition. As soon as you joined the dancefloor, Rose spotted you both, throwing her hands around Jude, guiding him deeper, keeping him closer. He kept his eyes on you as she did it and a strange feeling stroked you as you kept his gaze. Charlotte grabbed you by your hands, singing the words out loud, the song was energetic and lively, you laughed at your friend. Others from your pack nowhere to be seen. So you loosened up and tried to keep up with your drunk companion. The dancefloor became quite chaotic, people jumping around, your eyes landing on Jude from time to time and to your surprise he was looking your way as well. There was a lean and tall guy that jumped in front of Jude, almost stumbling over him and you laugh at that, seeing that Jude laughed as well, his attention still on you. You wanted to share this fun with him directly, but it was forbidden since the realest fact of this night was that he was not yours to have.
“I need to pee!” Rose shouted near you and you turned, watching as she grabbed Charlotte with her, leaving the dancefloor.
You stopped and decided to follow your friends but felt someone’s presence behind your back before you made any move.
“Now I can tell you’re enjoying your night!” Jude called next to your ear, this way you could hear him well despite the thumping music.
When you turned around you noticed how close he stood, you had to raise your head to look at his face, his big and dark eyes gazing down at you, full lips twisted into an amused smile. You returned the smile.
“You are a terrible dancer” you shouted back to him, your voice filled with laughter.
“That’s a fact” he nodded “But you’re quite good, show me more” he reached for your hips to draw you deeper into the dancefloor and you laughed out, throwing your head back as he lead you with him.
You have not payed much attention to the closeness of your bodies as long as the songs were quick and your movements kept rapidly changing with the rhythm. Still, you haven’t realised the sound slowing, a more sensuous song sounded from the loudspeaker, you knew this one. If the reason could break through the basses that reached your ears, you would finish your dance right this moment. But the fact was that it did not. So you continued, with your hands placed at his shoulders you begun to move your hips. Your eyes closed as you turned around, your back to him, he was not touching you, not directly. He took your hands in his and you started to raise it up in the air, you smiled when you felt his breath on your ear. Your joined hands stayed up longer, his on the other hand slowly trailed lower and lower, down your forearms, then your shoulders, then down your body. His touch sure yet lenient and soft at the same time electrified you. Carefully and attentively, making sure to not touch your breasts on the way, he rested them on your hips, feeling the rhythm you kept on. You were not sure if it was him that pressed on you or was it purely your movement, but your back met with his front fully, and a sharp intake of breath stuck in your throat at the realisation. His hands still rested on your hips, making your body move with no pause. You were close, too close, you could already feel too much. But you found it difficult to part with him, to stop it and call it improper. Your eyes wide open but blind. You only focused on the sense of touch, feeling him moving with you. Your hands fell down to reach his head and then levelled on his nape and you kept them there. Feeling something growing inside of you, along with a rough shot of adrenaline that made your heart beat strongly against ribs. Once more his breath landed on your ear, close, closer. A strange sensation squeezed your throat and you realised you swallowed back a moan. It was like a rough strike, you turned around to face him, with intention to take a step back, but he held you closer, pressing his palm against your back. You sighed and met his eyes. Dark, darker. You wanted to run.
“Thank you for the dance” you said innocently and he watched the movement of your lips as you spoke.
A daring smirk appeared on his mouth and you shuddered. Were you trapped now?
You had to run. So you did.

CHAPTER 3: Another One, Thank You!
Hamburg greeted YN with unexpected sunshine and a hotel room with a view of the harbor. She'd barely finished unpacking when her phone buzzed:
Aurélien 🌹 Settled in? I'm taking you somewhere nice tonight
YN Define 'nice' 🤔
Aurélien You'll see. Wear something that shows off what you want me to touch later 😏
YN's mouth went dry. The man did not believe in subtle flirting.
YN And if I want you to touch everything?
Aurélien Then why did you wanna get dinner? We could've just chilled in my room
"Touché," she muttered.
Her phone buzzed again, this time the group chat:
Jules 🇫🇷 You good YN?
Aurélien 🌹 Taking YN to Heimat tonight
Jules 🇫🇷 Good choice. Those views 👌🏾 Treat her well but not too well, I need her tomorrow 😌
YN I'm right here! 🙄
Aurélien 🌹 We know 😈
These men are going to be the death of me. She was about to respond when an Instagram notification caught her eye:
deuxmoi: SPOTTED: Grammy winner YN_YLN with French football star Jules Koundé at froyo spot in Düsseldorf! A source says they looked "very cozy" 👀 [Fan photo attached]

popculture_daily: The way he's looking at her though! 🔥 ynglobaldom: MY QUEEN WINNING chartdata: Her power>>> gossipgirl2024: Wait didn't you say you saw her with TWO French players? Drop the tea sis
Shit. I have to keep this lowkey.
For what? her intrusive thoughts challenged. Men get seen with different women all the time. Did Damari hide his fun?
That makes you no better than him! her rational side countered. Keep it under wraps.
She had to agree — the potential scandal of being seen with both of them...
Though part of her wanted to say fuck it. Why should she hide?
"Because being famous is annoying sometimes," she muttered, unpacking her suitcase and arranging her outfits in the closet. She plugged in her essential oil diffuser — lavender to calm her nerves — and lined up her skincare on the marble bathroom counter.
The challenge: what to wear for dinner with Aurélien? Something that said "I'm sexy but not desperate for dick" even though she was, in fact, kind of desperate for his. After twenty minutes of trying on different options, she settled on a black silk slip dress that hit mid-thigh – classy but with enough potential to make his eyes darken.
A quick shower to freshen up, then she wrapped herself in the hotel's fluffy robe and started her getting-ready playlist. Her favorite songs filled the room as she did her makeup, singing along while blending her eyeshadow:
"I might kill my ex, not the best idea… His new girlfriend's next, how'd I get here?"
She switched to Beyoncé as she curled her hair: "I'm warning who I bring to this dinner…"
How appropriate, she thought, pinning half her curls up to show off her neck.
By 8PM, she was applying a final coat of lipgloss when a knock echoed through the suite. Her heart, and pussy, jumped.
She opened the door to find Aurélien looking edible in a fitted black button-down and slacks. His eyes did that slow drag over her body that made her feel like prey - in the best way.
"Beautiful," he said, his signature smirk appearing. "Ready?"
"Let me grab my bag."
His hand found the small of her back as they walked to the elevator - always touching, always claiming space.
Heimat had good lighting and harbor views, and their corner table was intimate without trying too hard. Aurélien pulled out her chair, then sat close enough that his knee pressed against hers.
"So," he reached for the wine list, "besides being an incredible singer and looking gorgeous, what else should I know about YN?"
"You tell me what you want to know."
"Everything." No hesitation. His directness made her flush.
Over wine and appetizers, she learned he was obsessed with basketball ("Knicks till I die, but Lakers when they're good"), played the piano, and had strong opinions about American culture.
His hand had migrated to her thigh, but his touch wasn't purely sexual – he squeezed gently when she talked about her music, traced patterns when she mentioned her mom, and pulled back when she tensed discussing her past.
"That's why the Browns are gonna have a trash season," he said when Damari came up.
"You follow American football?"
"Enough to know your ex is gonna be riding the bench," Aurélien said simply. "But his loss is my gain."
"Our gain," she corrected.
"Ah yes, can't forget Jules." He grinned.
The conversation flowed easily - from childhood dreams to current goals, favorite books to worst dates. He was surprisingly funny, dropping deadpan jokes that had her snorting into her wine.
"Did you know," he said seriously, "that Jules sleepwalks?"
"No way."
"Once found him trying to make a sandwich in his sleep. Completely naked."
By dessert, she'd learned more about him than she expected - how his eyes crinkled when he really smiled, how he gestured with his hands when excited about a topic, how his thumb would stroke her skin absently while he listened.
"Want to take a walk?" he suggested after paying. "The harbor's pretty at night."
"You just want to get handsy."
"Always." That smirk again. "But I also want to explore with you."
She raised an eyebrow. "Explore what exactly?"
His hand found her lower back again. "Whatever you want, ma belle."
The harbor lights danced on the water as they walked, Aurélien's hand never leaving her waist. He stopped at a quieter spot, turning her to face him.
"Been wanting to do this properly," he murmured, cradling her face. His kiss was different from the hungry ones he usually gave - slow, deliberate, commanding in its patience. He took his time exploring her mouth until her knees went weak.
When he pulled back, she couldn't help the foolish grin spreading across her face.
"Look at that smile," he teased, thumb brushing her bottom lip. "Cute."
"Shut up," she rolled her eyes, still grinning.
"Would it be crazy if I asked you to spend the night?"
Her first instinct was yes, but then memories of Jules from last night flooded back. Did this make her… a whore? Going from one man's dick to potentially another's?
Girl, who cares? her intrusive thoughts chimed in. It's YOUR hot girl summer.
"I should be honest," she started. "Jules and I…"
"I know," he said softly. "Saw you both in the elevator, remember? Look, this is a lot - physically, emotionally. We go at your pace."
She nodded slowly. "Then… yes. I'd like to stay."
They swung by her hotel for essentials - bonnet, skincare, tomorrow's clothes (and maybe some sexy underwear, just in case).
The Westin Elbphilharmonie towered over the other side of the harbor, all glass and waves meant to mirror the water below. Aurélien's suite was minimalist luxury - cream furnishings, huge windows, and a balcony that made the city look like scattered stars.
"Make yourself at home," he said, taking her overnight bag.
Her heart raced. No turning back now.
Aurélien set her overnight bag on the chaise while YN slipped off her sandals, placing her purse on the bedside table.
"Ever seen Pineapple Express?" he asked, scrolling through the hotel's movie selection.
"Obviously. I'm not uncultured."
His laugh echoed off the suite's walls. "Good. Because I quote this movie way too much."
He turned the movie on and then made his way to the kitchenette - his gait full of unwavering swagger - to place a bag of popcorn in the microwave.
They settled into comfortable silence on the bed, sharing buttery popcorn while Seth Rogen descended into drug dealer chaos. Around the time James Franco started saying "Thug Life," YN decided to start her nighttime routine.
Opening her overnight bag, she grabbed her essentials: makeup wipes, CeraVe cleanser, toner, essence, vitamin C serum, moisturizer, and face oil. But as she started removing her makeup in the bathroom, the anxiety hit like a wave.
Whore. Slut. Can't even wait a day between men.
Her hands trembled as she tried to remove her lashes. The DeuxMoi post kept flashing in her mind - what if people found out about both of them? She wasn't really a whore, was she? Just... exploring. Finding herself. Why did that make her bad?
"YN?" Aurélien's soft knock startled her. "You good? Been in there a while."
"Yes," she squeaked, but her reflection showed panic in her eyes. She gripped the counter, trying to count breaths like her therapist taught her.
The door opened. Aurélien took one look at her and his whole demeanor shifted - the cocky swagger replaced by gentle concern.
"Panic attack?" He stepped closer, fingers finding her pulse point. His protector mode was sweet, though she wished she wasn't seeing it like this.
No shit, she thought, but couldn't speak.
Without a word, he reached for a shower cap, carefully removing each bobby pin from her curls. "Sit," he guided her to the toilet seat.
The shower started running, steam slowly filling the room. He disappeared, returning with her bonnet.
First the shower cap, then the satin bonnet, his movements impossibly gentle for such large hands as he placed them on her head, ensuring each tendril of hair was securely covered.
His eyes met hers. "Can I take off your clothes?" She gave him a look. "It's for the shower," he explained. "Warm showers will help."
She nodded, letting him care for her in this unexpected way.
Aurélien's hands reached for the zipper of her dress. His usual intensity was replaced by something softer - each movement careful, protective.
"Arms up," he murmured, and she complied, letting him pull the silk over her head. Instead of his usual hungry gaze, his eyes held only concern.
This man who looks like he could break hearts for sport, her rational thoughts marveled, is treating me like I'm made of glass.
He unhooked her bra with practiced ease, but there was nothing sexual in the way he helped her step out of her underwear. His touch remained clinical, respectful.
"Temperature good?" he asked, guiding her toward the steam.
She nodded, watching as he rolled up his sleeves to test the water himself. This was a different Aurélien from the one who smirked and made suggestive comments, who exuded raw sexuality. This was the big brother who protected his siblings, the friend who looked out for Jules.
"You don't have to stay," she managed.
"I know." He helped her into the shower. "But I want to."
Maybe, her rational thoughts whispered, we've underestimated him. Maybe there's more here than just physical attraction.
The warm water began to calm her racing heart, and with it came a new understanding: Aurélien Tchouaméni was full of surprises.
"Can I join you?" he asked softly.
She bit her bottom lip, nodding. Her eyes couldn't help but follow as he undressed, appreciating how the muscles in his chest flexed, how his dark skin seemed to glow in the bathroom's soft light, and how gorgeous his penis and testicles were when his boxers fell to the floor. But where normally he'd smirk at her obvious appreciation, now he remained focused on her well-being.
He stepped into the shower, reaching for the hotel's body wash. The scent of lavender filled the steam as he worked the soap between his palms, then started with her shoulders. His strong fingers found knots she didn't even know she had, drawing a contented sigh from her lips.
Working down her arms, then her hips, his touch remained therapeutic rather than teasing. He squatted to massage her thighs and calves, his hands firm but gentle on her tired muscles.
"Better?" he asked, looking up at her through wet lashes.
The anxiety was melting away under his careful attention, replaced by something warmer, deeper than just attraction.
Oh, she thought. This could be dangerous in a whole different way.
YN woke to Aurélien's soft snores in her ear, his arm heavy around her waist. His t-shirt swallowed her whole, smelling like his cologne. Last night after the shower, she'd barely managed to pull it on before passing out, emotionally drained.
At least I didn't drool, she thought, becoming very aware of his morning wood pressing against her ass. She stretched - trying to reach her phone on the nightstand.
His arm tightened, grinding closer. "Ne bouge pas, ma belle," (Don't move, beautiful) he muttered, voice impossibly deeper and raspier in the morning. His stubble scratched her cheek as he nuzzled closer.
Even sleeping he's cute as fuck, both her thoughts agreed.
She rolled her eyes despite smiling. Being little spoon was nice, but she needed her phone. One more stretch and - success!
7:30 AM. Notifications lit up her screen:
Mama 💕 Baby girl your crystals told me you had anxiety last night. Did you use that lavender oil I packed? Mercury isn't even in retrograde so this is weird. Light some sage when you can 🌟✨ Also use protection! 😘
Big Kyle You good? Haven't heard from you. These European men treating you right or do I need to catch a flight? 🤨 Send me your location just in case. Love you kid
LewLew Bean Hope Hamburg's treating you well. Saw that DeuxMoi post, don't stress about it. People always talk, let them. Roscoe says hi! [photo of his dog attached]
She smiled at their different approaches - her mom's spiritual advice, Big Kyle's protectiveness, and Lewis just being... Lewis.
Last night's panic attack embarrassed her; breaking down in front of Aurélien wasn't exactly hot girl summer behavior. But seeing his gentler side, how naturally he switched from sexy to protective…
His snoring hitched, arm pulling her closer. "Dors, bébé." (Sleep, baby)
Man has a point, she thought, putting it back on the charger.
YN snuggled deeper into Aurélien's embrace, letting his snores lull her into that peaceful space between sleep and wakefulness. It reminded her of how Damari used to—
No.
No more thoughts about that untalented bench warmer. Her summer was for better things now. Like the way Aurélien's arm tightened around her whenever she moved. Or how Jules' kisses made her dizzy. Or whatever other adventures Europe had in store.
Four weeks left. The thought nagged at her. Maybe she should make the most of it - take a little detour before the semi-finals? Visit Lewis early, see what Silverstone was about? Or maybe hit up another city first, then see Lewis?
What about our French boys? her intrusive thoughts demanded. Can't just leave them hanging!
But she wouldn't be leaving, not really. Just… expanding her horizons. She'd be back for the semis, back to see which of them could make her toes curl faster. Besides, wasn't that the whole point of hot girl summer? Freedom to do whatever - and whoever - she wanted?
I'll tell them later, she decided. After I figure out where I want to go.
Aurélien mumbled something in French against her neck, pulling her closer.
But right now, she thought, closing her eyes, right now I'm exactly where I want to be.

The Hamburg Arena hummed with pre-match energy as YN made her way through the VIP corridors. She spotted Aurélien talking to Cama, catching his wink when she waved.
Then she saw Jules - or rather, felt him before she saw him. He rounded the corner in his pre-match warmup gear, dreads pulled back, all focused energy until his eyes landed on her. That intense game face melted into a smile that made her legs wobble.
"There's my girl," he said, closing the distance between them. His hand found her waist immediately, guiding her toward a private alcove. There was something different about match-day Jules — a coiled energy that made him seem even more dangerous than usual.
"Are you doing okay?" His eyebrows creased with worry. "Auré told me you had an anxiety attack last night."
"Wow, you guys run your mouth too much," she snapped without thinking.
Jules let out a dark chuckle that made her stomach flip. "What part of 'our girl' don't you realize, YN? Of course, we're gonna talk about things regarding your well-being. Now, answer the question: are you good now?" His hands rubbed up and down her arms. YN nodded. "Open that pretty mouth of yours and use your words," Jules said, voice dropping into an authoritative tone that made her swoon.
Okay Daddy Jules, her intrusive thoughts purred. Oui, oui...
"Yes."
His grin was wicked. "I missed you. Did you miss me or did you have too much fun with Auré?"
"Yes, only a little bit though."
"Only a little bit?" His eyebrows rose. "Well, I guess I have to change your mind then." His lips captured hers again, one hand cradling her face. "You. Should. Spend. The. Night. With. Me." Each word punctuated with a kiss.
"I like that but..." she managed as his lips found her collarbone.
"But?" Those brown eyes looked up at her.
"I'm catching a flight... to London."
His eyebrows furrowed. "Want to visit your other man?"
"Nah, nah. Lewis is a friend. Yes he's fine as fuck but I don't do older guys. Not my type."
Jules chuckled. "Yeah, that's cool. Are you leaving me and Auré?"
"No, never, at least not right now. Four weeks from now, yes." She wrapped her arms around his neck. "But it'll be two days max. Hell, I don't think I'll even be there for the race. Just wanted to drop in and catch up and see his dog. Have you seen pictures of Roscoe? He's a cutie."
"I follow Lewis on Instagram. He's the GOAT."
Of course he does, she thought.
"But I'm happy you're coming back. It's good to explore different cities. Broaden your horizons." He waggled his eyebrows before kissing her again. "You told Auré?"
"No, not yet, but instead of one-on-one dinner... maybe something for the... uh... three of us?" His look said we're doing this? "No, not like that...." His eyes widened. "Maybe. We'll see. Just figured it'd be great to talk and chill before I'm off to London."
"Sounds good to me. Let's go before Coach has a conniption wondering where I am."
They walked back toward the locker room. Players and staff bustled around them, some nodding at Jules, others pretending not to notice how close he stayed to her. Outside the locker room doors, he turned to face her. The intensity in his eyes was different now - part pre-match focus, part something else entirely.
"See you after the match?"
"Of course."
He leaned down for one more kiss, this one slower, like he was trying to memorize the feel of her lips. Then he pulled back, that game-face sliding back into place as he disappeared into the locker room.
YN headed toward her seat, trying to focus on the match ahead and not on how dinner with both of them would go.
Focus on football, she told herself. But even she knew that was a lost cause.
______________________________________________
The match ended in a 0-0 draw against Portugal, and YN's two baguettes were visibly frustrated, discussing the game in rapid-fire French across the restaurant table.
"L'attaque était horrible!" (The attack was horrible!) Jules complained, stabbing at his salmon.
"On aurait dû gagner," (We should have won) Aurélien added, gesturing with his fork. "Ces putains d'arbitres..." (These fucking referees...)
They caught themselves, noticing YN quietly eating her steak.
"Sorry, belle," Aurélien switched to English. "How's your food?"
"Really good," she cut another piece of her medium-rare steak. "Though y'all are scary when you're mad."
"Not mad," Jules corrected. "Frustrated. Big difference."
"Speaking of differences," she started, "I'm heading to London tomorrow."
Aurélien took a sip of Coca-Cola. "To visit your man Lewis?"
Jules giggled - he'd made the same assumption earlier.
"He's just a friend," YN snapped. "And if he wasn't, I thought you didn't care anyway."
Aurélien glanced at Jules. "Son attitude? Elle est sérieuse?" (Her attitude? Is she serious?)
"Elle fait sa bratty," (She's being bratty) Jules replied as he spread his legs wider.
Their gazes cut to YN.
"My bad, belle," Aurélien said, making her smile. "You coming back?"
"To y'all - yes."
Aurélien's signature smirk appeared. "I like the sound of that."
They continued eating, YN appreciating the space across the table, though their long legs sandwiched hers underneath. When dessert came around, they split a chef sampler that included the best cheesecake YN ever had in her life - sorry mama!
As usual, the boys paid the bill and the walk back to her hotel was comfortable, both men flanking her sides as they strolled through Hamburg's evening streets. In the elevator, Jules pressed her floor while Aurélien's hand found its usual spot on her lower back.
They walked her to her door and YN reached up on her tip-toes to kiss Aurélien goodbye, but he gently pushed her back down.
"Aren't you gonna invite us in?" The hell?
"Yeah, we have to discuss something," Jules added.
YN glanced between them. "About? I have to pack, boys."
"We know and we'll even help." Aurélien said.
"Just five minutes," Jules promised.
"Max," added Aurélien.
YN muttered "okay" and let them in, Jules closing the door behind them.
"Your attitude's been trash lately," Aurélien started.
"What the hell?"
"If we're gonna be doing this, we shouldn't get snappy with each other. That only makes things worse. We know that seeing all the shit on the blogs is tough but there's a better way to voice your frustration," Jules said.
"Especially since it deals with all three of us," Aurélien added.
Uhn-uhn, not them giving you an intervention! her intrusive thoughts said.
Yeah, who do they think they are - you don't pay them to read you to filth like this, her rational thoughts agreed.
"Now hold on a second–"
"Let us finish, chérie," Jules held up a hand. "This is why you had that panic attack? The bullshit on the blogs?" Both sets of eyes bore into her until she nodded. "'Member what we said about using your words?"
I know this nigga is not...
"Yes - I had a panic attack because of that. Because of what may happen if they found out that I'm also hanging out with Aurélien."
The boys exchanged words in French. She really needed to get on her Zoom on Duolingo...
"Maybe you should hang out with one of us then? If you're scared of–" Jules started.
"No!" she surprised even herself. "We're not - I don't want to do that. I like Aurélien."
"Oh, belle," he said cockily, then sobered. "If it worries you though, it might be best. I don't want you to have another panic attack."
"We just have to be careful, okay?" she suggested. "Just be mindful of our surroundings. I don't want to stop hanging out with you, Aurélien. Really."
More French consultation, then Jules: "Okay, if you think that's best. We just be careful then."
"So maybe no more matches?" Aurélien said. Before YN could protest, he continued, "because they will keep trying to figure out who you're with, so no more matches and we hang out in each other's rooms. Sounds good?"
"Good," Jules said.
"Fine," YN replied defiantly, folding her arms.
Aurélien kissed his teeth. "Your fucking attitude."
"I swear," Jules shook his head. "We may have to do something about it."
"We might," Aurélien agreed, their gazes turning hungry. YN gulped.
"Take a seat on the bed, chérie," Jules commanded. YN remained frozen. "What did I say?" The bass in his voice made her sit immediately on the edge.
"Take off your shoes then scoot up to the headboard," Aurélien said. Again she froze until his arched eyebrow basically said I know you heard me loud and clear.
She did as told, removing her mules and scooting back against the headboard. Jules and Aurélien toed off their sneakers, the soft thuds against the floor echoing in the room. She couldn't quite believe what was happening. The way they moved — their confidence, the unspoken understanding between them — made her breath catch in her throat.
Jules was the first to climb onto the bed, taking his place on her left. Aurélien followed, settling on her right. They were close enough that their warmth seeped into her skin, their combined presence intoxicating.
"You can back out at any time," Jules murmured, his voice low and soothing as his hand rested lightly on her knee. "We won’t push you to do anything you don’t want."
"Whatever you want," Aurélien added.
YN swallowed, trying to calm the swirl of emotions in her chest. She didn’t feel pressured — just overwhelmed in the best way possible. "Just kissing…for right now," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Because anything besides that, I think I might combust...
Both men nodded, their acceptance of her boundaries making her exhale in relief.
Jules leaned in first, tilting her chin gently with his fingers. His lips brushed against hers, warm and soft, the kiss starting slow. YN sighed into him, her hands hesitantly resting on his chest. Jules then deepened the kiss, his thumb caressing her cheek, coaxing small, breathy moans from her lips.
Aurélien’s hand slid up her thigh, staying over her clothes but sending sparks through her body. She broke the kiss with Jules, turning toward Aurélien, who was already leaning in. His kiss was firmer, more demanding, his hand coming up to cradle the back of her neck as he took control. YN moaned into his mouth, her body tingling as his thumb traced slow circles against her nape.
The feel of both their hands on her, their energy so different yet equally electrifying, had her melting. Jules pressed a kiss to the side of her neck while Aurélien nibbled gently on her lower lip, pulling away just enough to murmur against her mouth, "You know I should spank you for talking to me like that at the restaurant, don’t you?"
YN’s eyes widened. His tone was teasing, but the heat in his gaze said he meant every word.
Aurélien smirked as he kissed her again, this time slower, savoring the moment. "But I’ll save that for another time," he added, his words a rumble against her lips.
That sounds like a promise, sir! her intrusive thoughts chimed in, but she pushed it aside.
Even though she had a really nice — and it was really nice — time with Enzo and Carina, doing two guys at once was too much for her at the moment, yet that didn't go without saying that she hadn't dreamt about it, dreamt about them.
For now, this was enough. This was perfect.
Jules' hands slipped up to cup her breasts over her blouse, his touch confident but not demanding. Aurélien followed suit, his large hand settling on her waist, his thumb brushing the edge of her rib cage.
YN let herself get lost in the sensations — their mouths on hers, their hands exploring. Her moans filled the space between kisses, soft gasps escaping as they found ways to make her tremble under their attention.
Aurélien broke the kiss, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, "You’re incredible, belle. Perfect."
Jules hummed his agreement, pressing a lingering kiss to her jawline. "Just say the word, and we’ll stop," he reminded her.
YN shook her head, her voice breathy as she replied, "Don’t stop. Not yet."
And with that, she gave herself over to the moment, letting their kisses and touches drown out every doubt. For now, she didn’t have to think about anything else — just the feeling of being cherished by both of them, right here and now.
The heat in the room thickened as their hands and lips explored, each movement a blend of curiosity and simmering passion. YN found herself caught between their bodies, Jules’ lips brushing against her neck while Aurélien captured her mouth in a kiss that left her breathless. Her hands, trembling with a mix of nervousness and desire, wandered over Jules’ toned chest. Her fingertips skimmed over his defined muscles before dipping lower, where she felt his erection straining against her touch.
Jules let out a low groan, his lips momentarily pausing on her neck. His eyes fluttered shut as her hand pressed more firmly. "Should I stop?" she asked, her hand stilling.
Jules shook his head, his voice rough with desire. "You’re good," he assured her. His words sent a thrill through her, and she bit her lower lip, the action catching Aurélien’s attention.
Aurélien pulled back slightly, his dark eyes searching her face. "You good?" he asked, his voice soft yet firm.
"No sex tonight," YN declared, her voice steady despite the warmth pooling in her stomach.
Both men nodded immediately, their agreement firm. "No sex," Aurélien echoed, his lips brushing her cheek.
"But…" she started, her voice trailing off. Jules raised a curious brow, silently encouraging her to continue. "I wouldn’t mind more kissing… and touching. If you’re okay with that."
Aurélien smirked, his hand cupping her face. "You should already know that I’m down," he teased, causing her and Jules to chuckle softly.
Jules grinned, his hand brushing lightly over her waist. "That’s fine. This is all about you, chérie."
"Exactly," Aurélien agreed, his warm gaze settling on her.
YN’s lips curved into a half-nervous, half-excited smile as she let their words sink in. "Good," she said, feeling a surge of boldness. Her eyes flicked between them before she clapped her hands playfully. "So… take off your pants. And those drawers."
Aurélien let out a laugh, his brow arching in mock indignation. "Damn, not you treating us like your little sluts," he joked, but he slid off the bed nonetheless. Jules followed, both of them making quick work of their clothing.
Aurélien unbuckled his belt and unzipped his jeans, letting them drop to the floor. His shirt followed next, revealing his broad shoulders and toned chest, and then his boxers, leaving him gloriously bare. Jules mirrored his actions, peeling away his shirt, then his jeans and briefs in one fluid motion.
Both men stood before her, naked and unapologetically confident, their skin glistening under the dim lighting. The way their muscles flexed as they moved, the unapologetic confidence in their stances.
Bless you, Lord…
Bless Him indeed, praised her intrusive thoughts.
YN couldn’t stop her appreciative gaze from lingering. She exhaled deeply, her hands trembling slightly as she began to undress herself. First, her pants slid off, pooling around her ankles. Then came her halterneck top, revealing her bare shoulders and curves. Her panties were next, followed by the pasties she had carefully applied earlier. By the time she was finished, both men were back on the bed, flanking her sides as before.
"Okay, don’t make this awkward," she muttered, her cheeks warming at the vulnerable position she was in.
Aurélien chuckled, leaning in close to brush his lips against hers. "You’re the one making it awkward," he teased before capturing her mouth in a deep kiss.
"Very awkward," Jules added with a grin, his lips finding her neck again, the warmth of his breath sending shivers down her spine.
Her hands moved on instinct, exploring them both — Aurélien’s firm chest and the ripple of Jules’ abs. Their touches grew bolder as well, Jules’ hands cupping her breast firmly while Aurélien’s lips wandered to her collarbone. YN’s head fell back against the headboard, a soft moan escaping her lips as their attention left her dizzy.
Jules gripped her jaw gently, tilting her face toward him so he could claim her lips. His kiss was deep, deliberate, his lips moving against hers with intoxicating intensity. Meanwhile, Aurélien scooted lower on the bed, his mouth latching onto her breast. The warmth of his tongue flicking over her nipple sent jolts of pleasure coursing through her, and she arched into his touch, her body responding instinctively to the sensations.
Jules’ free hand wandered downward, his fingers skimming the curve of her thigh before massaging the soft flesh with firm, slow circles. His touch was unhurried, as though he was savoring every second. With a gentle nudge, he pushed her thighs apart wider, creating more space for him to explore. His fingers grazed the sensitive skin of her inner thighs, his knuckles brushing against her clit in the faintest tease that made her gasp against his mouth.
"Can I touch you here?" Jules asked, his lips brushing against hers as his hand hovered at her center, waiting for her permission.
"Yes…" YN breathed, her voice trembling with need as her hips arched slightly, granting him better access. At the same moment, Aurélien’s mouth moved to her other breast, his teeth grazing her nipple before his tongue soothed the sting. The combined sensations left her head spinning, her body aflame with desire.
Jules’ fingers pressed against her folds, sliding through her wetness. He hissed softly, his reaction sending a thrill through her. "You’re so wet," he murmured, his lips barely moving from hers.
"How wet is she?" Aurélien asked, pulling back from her breasts, his voice rich with curiosity and amusement.
Jules didn’t hesitate, his hand moving briefly from her body. "Soaked," he replied, holding up his fingers, which glistened with her arousal. Without thinking, he brought them to her lips. YN didn’t need instruction — she opened her mouth, her tongue flicking over his fingers before she sucked them clean, her gaze locked with his.
"Putain," Jules muttered, his brown eyes darkened with lust as he stared at her. There was a raw hunger in his gaze, an intensity that made her shiver under his scrutiny. She moaned softly when his fingers slipped from her mouth, her body still tingling from the taste of herself on his skin.
"You sure this isn’t weird?" she managed to say, the words slipping out before she could stop them. Foot, meet mouth, yet again.
Aurélien chuckled lowly, his large hands sliding up to cup her waist. "Yes. Now be quiet and enjoy it," he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.
The logical part of her brain — the one still vaguely aware of social norms — tried to remind her of the surreal nature of the situation, how the two of them had undoubtedly seen each other naked countless times before, not to mention this clearly wasn’t their rodeo. But that thought quickly dissolved when Jules silenced her with another kiss, this one gentler, almost reassuring, yet no less passionate.
Aurélien’s fingers joined the mix, his touch grazing the sensitive skin of her inner thigh before moving to where Jules had left off. Jules’ hand slid downward again, his touch more assertive now, parting her folds with practiced ease. His fingers stroked her clit in small, deliberate circles while Aurélien’s fingers plunged into her slowly, stretching her.
The two worked in sync, their movements seamless and perfectly timed, as though they’d rehearsed this. Jules’ fingers teased her clit with increasing pressure while Aurélien’s plunged deeper, curling slightly to hit just the right spot that made her cry out, her hips rolling to meet their touch as the pleasure built to a near-overwhelming peak.
Aurélien’s lips found her neck again, his teeth grazing the sensitive spot just below her ear. "You feel so good," he murmured, his voice low and reverent. His fingers quickened their pace, his thumb brushing against her clit in time with Jules’ movements.
Jules watched her intently, his free hand tracing lazy patterns over her thigh while his other continued its rhythm. "This is all for you, chérie," he whispered, his voice laced with heat. "Just cum."
YN’s breaths came out in ragged pants, her body trembling as the sensations threatened to consume her. She was lost to the pleasure, her mind a haze of touch and desire and soft, murmured words. "I can’t…" she gasped, her back arching off the bed.
"You can," Aurélien assured her, his lips brushing against her jaw as his fingers hit that spot again. "And you will."
With a strangled cry, YN finally gave in, her body shuddering violently as waves of pleasure washed over her. Jules and Aurélien didn’t let up, their hands guiding her through the high until her body relaxed, boneless and sated between them. Both of them leaned down to kiss her softly — Aurélien on her cheek, Jules on her lips.
YN slowly came down from her orgasmic high, her body resettling after the aftershocks had dissipated. Letting out a sigh, she glanced down and spotted their erections – both of them still hard beyond measure, desperate for release.
"Should I suck–"
"No," Aurélien said whilst Jules simultaneously shook his head.
"I’m fine," added Jules. "We’re good."
Her eyes traveled back onto their penises. Don’t look fine to me… "You sure?"
"Positive," they said in unison.
"There’s always next time," said Aurélien as he slipped off the bed, grabbing his phone before making his way to the bathroom. "I’ll be back."
And with that, he closed the door behind him and YN was briefly consumed with her thoughts.
Kinda mean to have him rub one out when you have perfectly capable mouth and hands. Shameful, her intrusive thoughts chided.
No - you stood your ground on your boundaries. This is a win-win situation, countered her rational thoughts.
"If you keep staring at it, you’ll just make it harder," Jules’ voice pulled her out of her reverie and her gaze connected with his. As usual, Jules was cool and collected – relaxing comfortably in bed with his arms tucked behind his head.
"What?"
"My dick," he explained. "Keep staring at it like that and it’ll just get harder. Come ‘ere and cuddle."
Ooh, yes!
YN smiled brightly at his words and scooted beside him, snuggling deep into his side and hummed when he wrapped his arms around her.
"Are you doing okay?" he wondered after a few silent moments of her lying on his chest. "I know that this is a lot for you, but I want to make sure you’re good with…everything….Auré and I at the same time."
"I’m good, Jules."
"Seriously?"
YN lifted her head up from his chest to stare at him. "Yeah…just getting used to it. The possibility of–"
"Fucking us both?"
Even though that was exactly what she thinking, it still made her cheeks warm upon hearing it aloud. This time that they’ve spent together was nice and it did make her curious about how she could handle being so…full. Unlike her disastrous – and perhaps questionable – porn choices, no one has had the pleasure of being inside her other hole. Not like there hasn’t been any instances on trying; it just never panned out correctly. Perhaps she wasn’t doing it the right way (as if one needed extra instruction on anal sex) or maybe it wasn’t with the right partner (which seemed like the case). Either way, she never given it much thought besides now, that is.
"How did you guys do it before? With that girl from Bordeaux?"she wondered and Jules’ eyebrows furrowed. "I just want to know the positions–"
"We Eiffel Tower’d her." Direct. To the point. No hesitation.
YN tried to suppress a giggle at the double entendre, but failed miserably and a small chortle managed to escape. "Two French guys Eiffel Towering a girl?"
Jules dawned onto the gist of what she was saying and he even let out a chuckle himself. "I know, the joke writes itself." Then, he cleared his throat and exhaled a breath. "I mean….shit…we were so young. No anal sex though, just her mouth and pussy. We can just do that if it makes you more comfortable."
Interesting. "Have you tried it before?"
"Once," he said, the edges of his mouth curving upwards into a mischievous grin as he reminisced. "Not a personal fave, but lots of lube can help with that."
Then, they heard the toilet flush followed by the sounds of running water. Seconds later, Aurélien made his way out of the bathroom and sauntered over to the bed, sliding back onto his side as if he never left.
"You good, bébé?" Her overly caring — lover? situationship? — asked as one of his hands trailed down her spine.
"Yes," YN said, doing her darnedest to not moan as he caressed her soft skin, yet she did allow a shiver to go down her body upon feeling his slightly damp fingers.
"YN's curious about anal sex," said Jules, and she shot him a warning look, which caused him to laugh.
"You’re a freaky girl," was all Aurélien said as his hand continued its route downwards, moving from her back to the top of her ass. "I don’t think you’re ready for all of that yet."
"How do you know if I’m ready for all of that?" she retorted, accusingly, turning over to the other side to give him her full attention.
Instead of answering verbally, Aurélien’s hand skimmed lightly over her ass cheeks and then gently coaxed them apart until he came in contact with her virgin anus. She flinched at the feeling, and Aurélien scoffed.
"You’re not ready for all of that," he repeated then moved his hand to her lower back. YN rolled her eyes despite herself and a grin appeared on his annoyingly handsome face.
"Anyways," she started, turning around once more to Jules. "what time is it? I should get some things packed."
Jules removed one hand from behind his head to grab his phone from the other bedside table, tapping the screen to check the time. "Almost midnight."
Shit. She had six hours before she had to be up and ready to head to the airport.
With a groan, YN carefully slipped out of bed, scooting all the way down to the bottom edge and then walking over to the closet to take out her carry-on. Meanwhile, the boys didn’t move an inch – just lounged there like the sexy predators they embodied, naked as the day they were born.
"I’m surprised that you guys didn’t put on clothes or boxers…something," she muttered as she began to rifle through the closet for clothes to wear in England.
"We saw each other naked too many times to count," Aurélien said as he picked up his phone to scroll mindlessly through it. "Why? Should we put on some clothes?"
"I think she might be kicking us out," proclaimed Jules as he watched her pack then unpack her clothing selection from his side of the bed. "Pack a jacket, chérie. It’s supposed to be fourteen degrees Celsius in London tomorrow."
Celsius? What? "Huh?" That definitely made her halt her movements.
"Ah, you gotta say it in American, JK," explained Aurélien with an amused chuckle.
Jules muttered a curse under his breath. "Fifty-seven degrees your temperature."
Then why don’t they just say that? "Oh, thanks." YN scanned her closet for that jean jacket her mama packed, found it, and then place it inside the carry-on – along with another coord set, a maxi dress, two linen shirts, a pair of jeans, her mules, and some underwear. Doing the most for two days, of course. Always. But she needed options. "And for the record, I’m not kicking y’all out. Just…noticing."
"Noticing bad or noticing good?" This came from Aurélien, who finally shifted his gaze away from whatever he was watching on his phone to her.
YN shrugged nonchalantly. "Just noticing." Both of them let out a barely audible utterance. Hmm… "Sleepover?"
"Always."
"Of course."
Satisfied with both her clothing choices and their answers, YN decided to leave packing her skincare and makeup until tomorrow morning then grabbed her bonnet from the dresser and place it over her head before padding inside the bathroom to do her nightly routine.
She cleaned her face quickly, removing her makeup and then brushing her teeth. YN pulled on an oversized t-shirt and panties after she left the bathroom, climbing back into bed and in her designated spot in the middle.
They popped on her like grease out of a pan – arms wrapping around her (they definitely rehearsed that move), lips on either side of her neck, phones forgotten. The urban nightlife filtered through the windows, its sounds and lights scattered across the room to create the perfect ambiance as YN basked in being sandwiched between the two of them, enjoying the way both of their bodies molded next to hers, their scent wafting through her nostrils.
I could get used to this.
"Night, boys."
"Night, chérie." A little grumble from Jules, cuddling close.
"Bonne nuit, bébé." A low, yet deep murmur from Aurélien.
Her boys. YN flashed a wide grin in the dark, feeling cozy and relaxed. With the warmth surrounding her, she let sleep take over, happily drifting into dreamland.
______________________________________________
The alarm blaring jolted YN awake. She found herself sandwiched between Jules and Aurélien, both still deep in sleep.
"Turn it off," Aurélien groaned.
"Working on it," she sassed back, looking around the room. "If I could find it…"
Her phone had somehow ended up in her purse near the armchair. Among her notifications:
LewLew Bean: Text when you land tomorrow x. Roscoe's excited to see you!
BallerAlert: YN_YLN's ex-boyfriend spotted with Victoria's Secret model at LA hotspot
She chuckled at how they didn't even use Damari's name anymore.
"Where you going?" Aurélien's hand caught her wrist as she headed to the bathroom.
"Getting ready for my flight or did you forget?"
He kissed his teeth, muttering something before rolling over. Jules continued snoring, pillow still covering his head.
They're annoying, she thought, watching them sleep, but damn if they aren't cute. After last night, everything felt… different. Maybe juggling two French best friends wasn't as complicated as she'd thought.
After showering and packing her toiletries, she pulled on her airport fit - half-zip pullover, cropped tee, wide-leg sweats. She was lacing up her Nikes when they finally stirred.
"Morning, Sleeping Beauties."
"Morning."
"Mmmhmm."
"We can order breakfast before I go."
"Boo," Aurélien pouted.
Jules giggled, licking his lips. "Sounds like a plan."
While Aurélien used one of the hotel toothbrushes, Jules beckoned YN over with a crooked finger. Like a good girl, she sashayed to his side of the bed, letting him guide her down until they were eye-level.
His lips met hers softly - the kind of kiss that said don't forget us. All gentle pressure and sweet promise.
"Be safe over there," he murmured, fingers trailing from her shoulders to her neck, thumb stroking her cheek. "I don't know if I like your hair better up or down." He studied her low-maintenance bun.
"I prefer it down," Aurélien said as he returned to his side of the bed.
"Yeah, might be my favorite too," Jules agreed before heading to brush his teeth.
They shared breakfast - eggs, pastries, fruit - stealing bites from each other's plates like they'd done this a hundred times.
After getting dressed, they followed her as she got on the elevator, their hands filled with her bags. Both men hugged her goodbye in the lobby - Jules kissed her forehead while Aurélien squeezed her waist.
"See you Sunday," she promised.
"See you, cherie." Jules' response was sweet as usual, his eyes filled with longing.
"Don't have too much fun with Lewis," Aurélien said with a wink - ever the jokester but YN could tell that he was going to miss her too.
She gathered her carry-on and tote, handing them off to the driver before slipping inside the back seat, watching them wave as her Uber then pulled away.
Different, she thought again. But good different.
______________________________________________
"You really didn't have to pick me up," YN said as Lewis loaded her carry-on into his Mercedes SUV.
"Please, what kind of host would I be?"
A fine as hell one, her intrusive thoughts noted, appreciating how his t-shirt stretched across his shoulders. But for once, the attraction stayed purely aesthetic - like admiring art in a museum. No urge to touch, just respect for the craftsmanship.
A happy bark interrupted her thoughts. Roscoe's wrinkled face appeared between the front seats, tongue lolling out.
"Oh my god, he's even cuter in person!" She reached back to scratch behind his ears. The bulldog immediately flopped into her touch, making Lewis laugh.
"He's usually shy with new people." Lewis glanced over as he pulled onto the motorway. "You must be special."
"Nah, animals just know good people. Right, Roscoe?"
Another enthusiastic bark.
"So," Lewis's gap-toothed smile flashed, "tell me about these French boys of yours."
YN groaned, but found herself smiling. There was something comfortable about Lewis - like talking to a friend who'd seen it all and judged none of it.
"Well," she settled in for the drive, Roscoe's head now resting on her arm. "Last night was... interesting."
"Oh?"
"Let's just say there was some three-way kissing involved..."
"Holy shit!" Lewis nearly swerved. "You really out here living your best life!"
"The French are wild though."
"And you're just now figuring this out?"
Frank Ocean's "Pink + White" played softly as they drove through London's posh neighborhoods. Finally, they pulled up to a stunning Georgian house, complete with climbing vines and white gravel drive.
"This is so British," YN marveled, following Roscoe up the path.
The door opened to reveal a petite white woman with cropped hair. "This must be YN!"
"This is my mum, Carmen," Lewis said casually, slipping inside with her bags in tow.
First I'm staying here, now I'm meeting his mother? Does she think we're—
GURRRRLLLL! her intrusive thoughts screeched.
"Hi Miss Carmen," YN opened her arms for a hug, breathing in cookies and peonies - the most British smell ever.
"Come in! How was your flight?" Carmen ushered her inside. The house was gorgeous - checkerboard foyer tiles, winding staircase, wainscoting, and family photos everywhere. The kitchen was all navy cabinets, marble counters, and brass fixtures. "I've made some lunch. Would you like fish and chips?"
"I love fish and chips!" YN burst out enthusiastically, making Carmen's eyebrows shoot up. "Sorry, I tend to get—"
"Don't apologize. I love the enthusiasm. It's cod, okay?"
"Sounds good." Carmen plated the food and set it before YN. "Thank you, ma'am."
"Oh, you're so polite. And pretty."
Lewis finally appeared, leaning against the counter. "I'll show you your bedroom in a second. How is it?"
"She didn't try it yet, love." Carmen urged YN to take a bite. The fish was perfectly seasoned. Carmen beamed at her reaction. "It's my famous seasoning blend. Bit different than what you'd expect from a pub, but it's good right?"
"So good," YN agreed, trying the fries. Then YN's foot-in-mouth disease struck: "So… who do you think I am to Lewis?"
"I know you two are good friends," Carmen smiled. "Besides, this one is making me wait to become a grandmother unfortunately."
"You have Roscoe, Mum," Lewis said with a small smile playing on his lips.
"A human grandchild would be nice."
"You have those too. Four of them to be exact," Lewis pointed out.
"I want more!"
"And you will. When I retire."
"In three years!" Carmen harrumphed.
YN shrugged, taking another fry. "I mean, you are forty with no kids. Seems sus."
Lewis's jaw dropped while Carmen cheered. "Thank you!"
"He needs a nice woman to date. None of those model types. We've been there, done that too many times over," his mother continued.
"Maybe a businesswoman?" YN suggested.
"Ooh yes! Do you know any single women, preferably ages thirty-two to thirty-seven?"
"Okay, mum, that's enough. YN's not here to play matchmaker."
"I do, actually," YN said, making them both exclaim: "Really?!"
"I mean, she's divorced and has two kids - six-year-old twins but they're so cute and well-behaved."
"I don't know about becoming a stepdad," Lewis said apprehensively. "I don't want to overstep."
"Lewis, love, you're so great with kids!" Carmen insisted.
I think she's just willing to take on anyone at this moment.
"What she look like?" Lewis asked.
"Oh? You're taking it seriously?"
He shrugged. "Just curious, is all."
"Mmhmm," YN took out her phone, opened Instagram, and typed in 'Sabine Wurley', her label's A&R exec - a gorgeous Trini-Canadian with toffee skin, doe eyes, and all the Caribbean curves to match.
"Holy shit she's gorgeous," Carmen gasped.
"She's nice looking," Lewis said flatly. YN stared at him like he had three heads. "Give me her number."
"If I'm going to throw the alley-oop, don't fuck up her heart. I love Sab a lot."
"I won't."
"Promise me," YN pressed. "I'm deadass."
"Fine, fine, I promise. Dang."
YN forwarded the contact with a smirk. Sabine and Lewis? She could work with that.
🌹🇫🇷 Group Chat:
Aurélien 🌹 Miss you already 😘 These hotel beds are too big without you
Jules 🇫🇷 Speak for yourself. I'm spread out like a starfish
YN Y'all are so dramatic 🙄
Aurélien 🌹 Says the one who needed us both to sleep last night
Jules 🇫🇷 Exactly. Training bout to start. Talk soon.
YN Have fun! Be careful...
Jules 🇫🇷 You worried about us? Cute.
Aurélien 🌹 Very cute. Tell Lewis we said hi but not too enthusiastically 😏
YN smiled at her phone, scrolling through the group chat with her French baguettes. Twenty-four hours felt longer than it should.
Girl, you're down BAD, her intrusive thoughts teased as she pocketed her phone, letting Roscoe lead her around Silverstone's paddock. The bulldog stopped to sniff literally everything before finally choosing the perfect patch of grass.
"Is that YN?"
"Who's she?"
"The singer!"
"Why does she have Roscoe?"
The paddock photographers weren't confused at all - their cameras clicked away while she tried to wrangle an overexcited bulldog who'd spotted another driver's water bottle.
"Roscoe, no — that's not yours!" She tugged gently at his leash.
Too busy texting Jules back ("Show them what that ass do 😏"), she crashed right into someone in an orange racing suit - McLaren? "Oh shit, sorry!"
"No worries!" Blue eyes crinkled as he smiled. "I'm Lando."
She introduced herself politely, taking in his cute boyish features. Her horn-o-meter, usually quick to jump for any attractive man with an accent, stayed firmly at 0. Maybe she was catching feelings for her French boys if this British cutie wasn't doing it for her.
Or maybe, her intrusive thoughts suggested, you just have a type now: tall, dark, and speaks French.
Back at the Mercedes garage, Lewis scooped her into a hug. "Thanks for dog duty."
Rosa, his comms personnel, led Roscoe to his bed in the corner while Lewis started suiting up for qualifying.
"Good energy today," he said, zipping up his race suit. "I can feel it."
"You sound just like my mama with all this energy talk."
"Your mama knows what's up then."
YN rolled her eyes, checking her phone again.
"Missing the French boys already?"
"Mind your business!"
"Not very hot girl summer of you," he teased, pulling on his gloves. "Thought you weren't catching feelings?"
"I'm not!" But even she heard the uncertainty in her voice. A little 'missing you' doesn't mean anything, right?
Whatever you say, both her intrusive and rational thoughts weren't too convinced.
"Mhmm. Sure." He grinned. "Keep telling yourself that while you check your phone every two minutes."
"Shouldn't you be focusing on qualifying?"
"I am. And you're focusing on your messages from Jules and Aurélien."
She watched him qualify - still clueless about what was happening but proud of his P4 position based on everyone's reactions. But even as the garage celebrated, her mind wandered to Hamburg, wondering if her French boys were doing well at practice.
After qualifying, YN and Lewis walked arm in arm through the paddock, Roscoe trotting beside them. She pretended not to notice the cameras clicking or hear the whispers.
"They'd really lose it if they knew about your French situation," Lewis murmured.
"Don't you dare—"
"I would never. But it's funny watching them try to figure out who you're with."
Back at his place, they ordered Indian takeout and sprawled on his massive couch, Roscoe snoring between them.
"You're leaving early tomorrow?"
"Miss my boys," she admitted, shoving another piece of naan in her mouth.
"Oh, really?" he teased, but his smile was kind. "Though I once drove six hours just to see this model for like... two hours max."
"Lewis Hamilton, you dog!"
"I heard women do crazy things when they're dickmatized."
"I am NOT dickmatized!" She threw a pillow at him. "I just... miss them."
"Mhmm." His knowing look said everything. "It's cool though. Young, free, exploring. Just be careful with those feelings."
"I know." She got up to hug him, ready to head to her room to tuck in for the night. "Good luck tomorrow. Show these young boys how it's done."
"Always do." But she could tell he was a bit sad she'd miss the race. "Text me when you land?"
"Of course. And thanks for... everything."
"Anytime, Lil' Bit."
She pretended not to notice how soft his smile was. Lewis Hamilton, seven-time world champion, was a whole teddy bear underneath all that swagger.

The next morning, scrolling through her phone in the airport lounge, she saw:

"Now boarding flight 2847 to Hamburg…"
She made he way to board her plane and settled into her aisle seat, already thinking about seeing Jules and Aurélien, when a deep voice interrupted:
"Excuse me, that's my window seat."
YN looked up - and up - into warm brown eyes behind wire-rimmed glasses. The stranger was gorgeous in that intellectual way - tall and lean but solid, perfect fade, skin like dark honey, full lips curled in a gentle smile. His navy Tom Ford suit and Cartier watch screamed tenured professor with family money.
Her horn-o-meter jumped to 9.
Another one for the roster? her intrusive thoughts suggested.
Finally, not an athlete, her rational side approved.
"Javaughn Taylor," he introduced himself as he settled in, his Northeast accent surprising her. "Heading to Hamburg for work."
"YN," she replied. "What kind of work?"
"A conference. Economics at Hamburg University. I teach at Columbia."
They talked the whole flight - about music (he played jazz piano), books (they both loved Octavia Butler), travel (he'd just been to Cape Town). His laugh was rich, his intelligence obvious but not showy. He really reminded her of that hot professor everyone had a crush on in college but never dared to approach.
When they landed, she had his number and a flutter in her stomach that had nothing to do with turbulence.
The universe really testing my French situation, she thought, watching him stride away in those perfectly tailored trousers.

AJ’s Analysis- Week One Preview⚡️:
Raiders at Chargers
Disclaimer: I am a Chargers fan so this will obviously be biased BUT I have been a football fan for the last 12 years and absolutely love dissecting the game and making comments so I figured I would give this a try! Please feel free to make comments and let me know your thoughts in my inbox!
Players to watch:
Los Angeles
Justin Herbert QB- Oregon- Year 5🩵
Pookie. Angel. Perfect prince. Idk. He’s just my favorite player in the NFL to watch. The arm talent, the decision making, the…everything. Ok so, this is honestly his coming out year. He’s finally got a coaching staff that is competent and hopefully working in an offense that doesn’t put the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s also coming off of finger surgery and a minor foot injury so he should be healthy and ready to take over the league. Simple. I can’t wait to watch.
Stats: carried the team on his back pretty much all of last season, lost a finger nail, lost most of his sanity and then lost his season to a broken right index finger. Best game last year by far was the week 10 loss against the Lions where he threw for 323 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Cameron Dicker Kicker- Texas- Year 3
Little angel bean. Best kicker in the league. No further comments.
JK Dobbins RB- Ohio State- Year 5
Coming off of an Achilles injury and trying to shed the “injury prone” rumors, Dobbins is set to make his Chargers debut. One important thing to note, he’s only fumbled twice in his career…iykyk
Joe Alt RT- Notre Dame- Year 1
Here we go people! Fifth overall pick, mixed reviews from the audience. I’m rooting for him and the entire o-line to be much improved so I hope this first test shows that this investment in the “trenches” was worth it.
Khalil Mack EDGE/LB- Buffalo- Year 11
Recorded six sacks the first time these teams met last year. Was drafted by the Raiders in 2014 and has 100 career sacks, last season being one of his best in the last five years with 45 solo tackles and 17 sacks.
Joey Bosa DE/EDGE - Ohio State- Year 9
Also trying to shake injury prone rumors but seems to have taken on a new outlook and a new sense of excitement and motivation due to this new regime. Played in 9 games last season, starting 5 and still finished with 6.5 sacks. Honestly, looking forward to Joey making a big impact this season.
WR Room
I’ll preface this by saying I still miss Keenan Allen BUT ready to move forward. Very excited for Josh Palmer to get his time to shine hope he can stay healthy. DJ Chark excites me I’m gonna need to see some big plays from him. Quentin Johnston needs to have a breakout season. Ladd and Brenden are rookies but I need some huge contributions from them. Simi I know will show out when his number is called and if Derius the punt return king gets some targets I know he’s gonna put on a show. Nervous but excited to see how this goes!
Las Vegas
Gardner Minshew QB- Washington State- Year 6
Played in all 17 games for the Indianapolis Colts last year, made 13 starts and somehow always seems to know exactly what a team needs to get a win when his number is called. On his third team in his NFL career, looking to prove himself so he should come out looking to make a statement to keep his starting spot over AOC. Made the Pro Bowl last year with 305 completions and 3,305 passing yards, both career highs.
Davante Adams WR- Fresno State- Year 11
Your favorite wide receiver studies his film. Six Pro Bowls, three-time First team all pro, 39 games with 100+ receiving yards and has 9,637 receiving yards over the span of his career. Will get targets, will catch the ball and will probably score a touchdown (hopefully not two but who knows) this weekend.
Brock Bowers TE- Georgia- Year 1
Rookie Tight End making his NFL debut. Voted First Team All American by just about every single sports outlet in the country last season. Had 56 catches for 714 yards and six touchdowns for the Bulldogs in a 13-1 season falling short of a 3-peat not making the college football playoff but defeated Florida State 63-3 in the 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl.
Maxx Crosby DE- Eastern Michigan- Year 6
AKA Mad Maxx, neck tats can play football. Played in all 17 games last year and started. Heart and soul of the Raiders defense with 48 solo tackles and 14.5 sacks. Did get shaken out of his shoes by Justin last time and I’m sure he didn’t forget so he’ll be coming for vengeance.
Christian Wilkins DT- Clemson- Year 6
Entering his first season with the Raiders after a very successful five years in Miami. Recorded an NFL high 9 sacks for defensive tackles last season, started all 17 games and recovered two fumbles. Wilkins makes this Raiders defense a lot scarier and this will be a great first test for the often shaky Chargers o-line.
⏳FLASHBACK⌛️
Last time these two teams met, we all remember where we were…
1. Justin was injured, fresh off of surgery and Easton’s presence in the pocket is like a kid running late for curfew, very rushed and deer in the headlights
2. Defense quit and was ready to start fresh having lost faith in the entire coaching staff
3. We were all praying on the Charger downfall on this day and got what we wanted so sorry Coach Staley but…not sorry
Had to include this because baldy is gone and I couldn’t stand him. This was very embarrassing.
That’s it for week one!!!
Bolt the absolute fuck up

ES21 japanese volumes part 3/??
<< part 1 < part 2 ||
HAHAHA guess who found a site with japanese scans?? (Also yes hello it's been close to.... half a year??? (fuck) since my last post-- a big part of that is because taking clear pics of panels/pages on my phone was a pain in the ass so I kept procrastinating lol)
Now lets get back into it!
We left off at the end of Sena's unwilling first morning practice, where we got to see just how fast he's able to run. We were then informed that their first match is happening the following day... while only having 3 players :')
oh the lengths one must take to subdue Cerberos....
Panel 2 -> HIRUMA: We need 8 people by tomorrow's match! We'll split up to gather them! Panel 3 -> KURITA: 8 people? SENA: I thought you said that American Football requires 11 people...
You'd think he might catch on to what's happening after all the 'top speed in the NFL!' fuss at the end of the last chapter.... but our boy is not smart, your honor.
But Hiruma (seemingly) relents, saying how they each have to find at least 3 people to help out their team by the end of the day. Whoever finds the least amount of people faces whatever penalty game that Hiruma comes up with, so uh, there's reason to fear.
Panel 1 -> Basketball club Panel 2 -> SENA: Alright, I'll start here...! Panel 3 -> imaginary SENA: How would you like to play in an American Football match? Panel 4 -> imaginary SENA: We'll prepare all of the equipment! All you have to bring is your fighting spirit!!
imagination vs reality....
Panel 1 -> SENA: Um... excuse me Panel 2 -> SENA: So... I was wondering if maybe I could get you guys to play in an American Football match for us... or something... Panel 4 -> JERSEY #16: Ahh... I'll pass. JERSEY #8: Yeah, not interested. SENA: I-is that so... Panel 5 -> SENA: Aahh-- it's no good. Why do I always....
Ah poor Sena. But all those years of timidness and cowardice aren't going to up and disappear overnight because then we wouldn't have a story. Also, an aside, but in these earlier chapters Sena has this little... verbal tick, I guess? where he ends his sentences (usually requests) with "なんて…" (na-nn-te), shown in panel 2. A different form of the word is often used at the end of a joke, meaning essentially "just kidding!", and this is like... an uncommitted, spineless little version of that. He's asking them if they would please consider playing in a match, and basically ending it with: "haha jk...." 😔
I translated it as "or something..." because he ISN'T joking, he just can't help but say it because he's that non-confrontational, and I thought that might be confusing without context? Or perhaps I'm just over-explaining, but alas.
Panel 1 -> KURITA: Wanna play in an American Football match!? Panel 2 -> JERSEY #16 & #8: No! Panel 4 -> SENA: No, it's not over yet! This isn't the only sports club! Panel 5 -> SENA: I'll go around to all of 'em--! Panel 6 -> HIRUMA: You're playing in a match for the American Football club!
I had to put in all three of their uh, pitches? to the basketball club because I love this little sequence lol. It's such a fun way to show the differences in how each character approaches a problem, and visually displays their body language so well. It's like the funniest version of the three billy goats gruff story
Is this the first official appearance of Hiruma's little black book? It's funny, it's dastardly, and it's just as much for the sake of cartoon violence as his guns are lol. (Seriously, some of the stuff he uses to blackmail people has me side eyeing Hiruma (and Inagaki) real hard rip. The fact that you're not supposed to take any of it seriously is it's saving grace.)
Panel 1 -> JERSEY #16: Uwah, again!? JERSEY #8: Will you give it a rest!! We said we're not gonna play!! Panel 2 -> HIRUMA: Hooo~ that defiant attitude.... I take it you two are first years? Panel 3 -> HIRUMA: Hhmmmm, so Satake-kun from year 1 class 2, and Yamaoka-kun from class 5, huh? Panel 4 -> HIRUMA: Satake-kun is-- well well! The true culprit behind the underwear thefts of the swimming club! And Yamaoka-kun-- what's this? He gives a kiss to his poster of Ai Kago every morning? Whoow, isn't this painful! SATAKE: Wha-- YAMAOKA: How do you-- Panel 5 -> HIRUMA: Now, I think I'll just spread the word!!! SATAKE: Waahh w-we'll play, we'll play! YAMAOKA: Please let us play in the American Football match!!
The severity of the dirt seems pretty skewed to me, but I guess to a teenage anime boy from the early 00's, general embarrassment is just as bad as sexually harrassing your schoolmates 🙃
But anyway, now we know exactly why Hiruma is so feared by the general student body (and faculty)! A real menace to society <3 Btw, at the time Ai Kago was a girl in the pop idol group Morning Musume.
After going to every other sports club in Deimon, Sena finally comes into some luck at the track and field club....
ISHIMARU: An American Football match? Yeah sure, I'll play!
Ishimaru.... you're such a good guy..... 😭
Panel 1 -> SENA: R-really!? ISHIMARU: Yeah, and y'know-- Hiruma's probably gathering the first years, right? Panel 2 -> ISHIMARU: So if I play with them, I'll get to know their physical abilities, and I can invite any of the promising ones to the track and field club. Panel 3 -> ISHIMARU: That's ok, isn't it? As a give and take. SENA: O-of course!! Panel 4 -> SENA: (Yay, that's one person!) Then I'll be seeing you tomorrow! Panel 5 -> ISHIMARU: Tomorrow!!? That's impossible! SENA: What--!!? Panel 6 -> ISHIMARU: I work part time for the local magazine delivery-- I have to deliver them all by noon tomorrow so it'll be tight. Sorry
Poor boy can't catch a break. And enjoy Ishimaru in his like, first and last serious arc for the rest of the series..... :') you deserved better my boy.....
Ishimaru's fairly casual attitude towards Hirma makes me so curious about what he's like in class though lol. I guess for people that Hiruma has no direct use for, they end up flying under the radar and don't have a strong opinion on him? Maybe to some students in Deimon, Hiruma is just 'that eccentric guy in my grade' lol. Strange thought.
But you know, at least Hiruma managed to get some people to help out! Wow, such charisma.
Panel 1 -> (from left to right on the chart -> ): Sena, Kurita, Hiruma Panel 2 -> SENA: Amazing!! So many, just by himself...
Panel 1 -> SENA: Hiiee!? Panel 2 -> KURITA: Hey.... I guess you're also at zero, huh.... Panel 3 -> KURITA: Even Hiruma stopped after 7 people.... and all the sports clubs have already gone home.... It's no good, we're not going to make it in time for the tournament.... Panel 5 -> SENA: I-I'm going to make another round!
Like, ok. So I haven't actually read that many sports manga (mainly because they tend to not hold my attention very long), but Eyeshield's opening chapters are so charming and cute and like... well set up that I always love re-reading it. It might ultimately be a classic coming of age/underdog story, but at this point Sena isn't even interested in playing the damn sport lol (in fact playing the sport is the thing he's got the most reservations about). It's just that he's made friends with Kurita and wants to help him (and Hiruma) towards this goal they're so passionate about, and also wants to feel like a part of something. Idk, it's really successful in fleshing out Sena's personality imo, and manages to make this extremely cowardly kid very endearing (which I think is kind of a rare thing in a shounen manga protag, not to mention a sports manga one).
BUT anyway, he spots Ishimaru doing deliveries and jumps over the fence to reach him.
SENA: Please let me gopher-- no, I mean-- please let me help you!
His heart is in the right place! When you've been a doormat your whole life, it takes a minute to move past it!!
Anyway, skipping ahead a few pages because I've already used too many images on this chapter lol (not me straight up posting half the pages of this chapter so far 😭) -- Sena helps Ishimaru deliver half of the magazines and so they manage to hand them all out that night. Since that frees Ishimaru up the following day, he agrees to play in the match-- which means Sena managed to get one person!
He returns to the club room and tells Kurita the good news, but that still leaves them with.... 10 people.
Panel 2 -> KURITA: We're short.... one person.... Panel 3 -> KURITA: We were so close.... Panels 5 & 6 -> Sounds of the crowd cheering
Panel 1 -> SENA: U-um! Panel 2 -> SENA: For the last person, if I... if I participate...
Whenever Sena thinks about potentially playing American Football in these early chapters, I've always liked that the things he focuses on is the sound of the crowd, the... kinship, maybe? of being on a team. There's probably an element of the glory that appeals to him, but it mostly seems to be the ambience and passion and unity that he's drawn to. As opposed to like, Monta later on who (initially, anyway) really just wants the fame and adoration of being a popular player lol (and good for him, the heart wants what it wants). But for Sena, as the protagonist, it helps me connect to his wants at this point in the story a lot more organically as opposed to if his desire had always been "I wanna be The Best Sportsman™!!!" But again, that's a me thing lol.
Of course Hiruma has to interrupt before Sena commits one way or another lol
Panel 1 -> HIRUMA: That fucking konbini!! Running out of sugarless gum!! Not even flies would chew on that nasty-ass sweet gum!! Panel 2 -> HIRUMA: Oh damn, I forgot to put them up halfway through.
Hiruma's comically short temper that vanishes between one panel and the next will always be funny to me lol. Explosively coming into the club room, ranting about unimportant bullshit while tossing soda at to his teammates (which is quite thoughtful of him actually) and then casually revealing that he's taken care of everything....
Sometimes when I'm feeling unmotivated, I think to myself "what would Hiruma do?" the answer is usually 'several illegal things', but I can at least try to emulate his proactiveness lol.
Panel 2 -> SENA & KURITA: WE DID IIITT Panel 3 -> HIRUMA: We didn't do anything!!! I'm the one who ended up doing it all, you useless idiots!! Actually, give back my cola!! I don't have a single drop of fluid to spare for you morons!! Wilt and die!
Well. No one ever claimed Hiruma was gracious.
That's (more or less) the end of chapter 3! Finally!! The chapter ends with another character room, this time for Hiruma. I'm also putting Kurita's here, which was at the end of chapter 2 but didn't manage to squeeze in.
Page 1 Kurita Ryoukan 2nd Year Deimon Devilbats #77 Power: ***** Speed: * Technique: ** [upper corner: "My refrigerator" bottom left: "Bookshelf-- bursting with American Football magazines" bottom center: "Weights over 100kg"] Page 2 Hiruma Youichi 2nd Year Deimon Devilbats #1 Power: ** Speed: ** Technique: *****
When I read this manga for the first time back in highschool, I was SO frustrated that it just showed the club room instead of Hiruma's bedroom. Ngl I still feel a little cheated, but I guess they had to maintain that gremlin mystique somehow 😔
(Also join me as I puzzle over where the fuck Kurita keeps his futon.... 🤔)
------------
I was going to cover the next chapter as well, but I think I'll just end this part here-- the next chapter is more or less when the first match starts, so I figure I'll do those together! Honestly this chunk of the story didn't have any egregious translation errors in the fanscans so there wasn't too much to comment on that front lol. Enjoy my ramblings about how much I like these early chapters, they're so charming!

What do you think caused the relationship rift/built up resentment between William and Harry in Jackson's Diary? (Idk if I phrased this correctly but you know what I mean)
It seems like William and Harry have known each other since at least high school or college. They definitely knew each other before the story began. I say this because William criticizes Harry's career choice, so he was likely there to see Harry choose to become a therapist. I'm not actually super sure what William does for a living, but since this is the 80s, he's the paradigm of upholding "manliness". Managing your mental health is not "manly", so he doesn't respect Harry's career and by extension, Harry.
William was only in favor of Exer when Exer was the star football player. As soon as Exer quit and became more reserved, he started advising David not to hang out with him. He thinks anything less than the golden age American standard of manliness is too soft.
I also think might be a case of William inheriting some of that good ol' ✨generational trauma✨
aka his parents shot him down when he tried to express his feelings, so he does the same with David. And this is admittedly a leap, but I suspect that when William and Harry were younger, William probably had feelings for Harry he didn't know what to do with.
His parents likely taught him to push down any strange emotions, so he repressed so hard he turned evil 😭 jk, he probably started distancing himself from Harry to get rid of those feelings, but even as an adult, they're still there, and he hates Harry for it, even though Harry has been nothing but kind to him.

CHAPTER 2: Le Français
"Je suis une femme," YN repeated after her Duolingo owl, spooning mushy oatmeal into her mouth. After that kiss last night, learning French seemed like the logical next step.
The fluffy hotel robe did little to cool down her overheated skin, even after a shower so cold it could rival an Arctic expedition. She was down astronomically bad, and it was all because of Jules Koundé.
"Jules. Koundé." She tested the name on her tongue. Jhool Koon-day. Even his name was sexy, all masculine energy and French sophistication.
They always said French men were the best lovers. Though Enzo had definitely set a high bar for the Italians - especially that night with Carina. YN had gotten more action in the past week than in her entire relationship with Damari.
Don't think about Damari and his boring, porn-educated ass, both her rational and intrusive thoughts agreed. She had to come to a whole different continent to get properly dicked-down without using her beloved Rose.
"Well, RIP Rose," she saluted her trusty vibrator back home. "You served me well, but after this summer? Retirement."
Her phone buzzed twice:
Jules 🇫🇷: 30 minutes. Can't wait to see you 😚
LewLew Bean: How's Germany treating you? 👀 Also - you free July 7th? Silverstone race. We need to catch up
She checked her calendar quickly - no conflict with Jules' matches.
YN to LewLew Bean: Germany is… interesting 😏 And yes! Count me in for Silverstone!
LewLew Bean: "Interesting" = You're already causing trouble aren't you? Good. That's what I taught you 😌
YN to Jules 🇫🇷: Can't wait! See you soon 😘
Sliding off the bed, she rifled through her closet before pulling out a white halter-neck tennis dress. She paired it with Adidas Court Bolds and the "FRANCE" cap she'd bought last night during her post-kiss vape-and-pace session at the corner store (the horniness had been THAT real).
A knock at her door sent her heart racing. One last finger-comb through her hair, another swipe of lipgloss, grab the Constance, make sure she has her phone and hotel key card—
Jules stood there in his national team tracksuit, dreads pulled back in pigtails, looking unfairly cute and sexy at the same time. His eyes did a slow scan from her feet up, lingering on her lips.
"Morning."
"Morn–" was all she managed before his lips claimed hers, drawing a soft hum from her throat. When he pulled back, he nipped her bottom lip, making her gasp.
"You're such a nasty freak," she said in wonderment.
Jules just chuckled. "Let's go, ma belle."
YN let him guide her to the elevator, very aware of his hand at the base of her spine, hovering dangerously close to her ass.
In the lobby, Jules kept one hand on her lower back as they chatted about breakfast ("Mushy oatmeal? I'll take you somewhere proper tomorrow"). Before sliding into the waiting SUV, he opened her door - ever the gentleman - then delivered a firm pat to her ass that was anything but gentlemanly.
Did this man just… That wasn't just a pat, that was a whole statement of intent.
The drive to the stadium was a blur of Jules explaining the tournament structure while YN tried not to fixate on how that simple touch had reignited every nerve ending in her body.
"So quarter-finals next week, then semis next if you win?" She tried to focus on the actual conversation.
"Oui. Then hopefully the final in Berlin." His confidence was infectious.
The Merkur Spiel-Arena rose before them, all modern architecture and gleaming glass. Jules led her through the VIP entrance, up several elevators, until they reached the highest level of the stadium.
"This is my favorite spot," he said, leading her to the edge. The morning sun cast long shadows across the pristine pitch below. "You can see everything from up here."
"It's really nice."
"Your cap is cute," he nodded at her tourist shop purchase. "But we need to get you proper Les Bleus gear. Jersey maybe?"
From their perch, Jules spotted movement below in the corner of his eye. He yelled out something in French that had YN weak in the knees, even if she had no idea what it meant, and the people yelled something back.
"Who's that?" YN squinted at the tiny figures running drills below. "They look like very athletic brown blobs to me. My eyesight is garbage. I'm basically blind past ten feet."
"My teammates," Jules explained, turning back towards her. "Want to meet them?"
Oh wow… now we're being introduced to his teammates? Personal much? her rational thoughts chimed in.
This is solid, meaning he wants to fuck you. For real! Get 'em girl! her intrusive thoughts countered.
After using the elevator to head down, they walked through the tunnel onto the pitch, and the first player to bound over was pure sunshine energy. His micro dreads bounced as he jogged up, grinning like an excited puppy.
"Cama!" Jules dapped him up. "This is YN."
Camavinga was cute - all bright eyes and boyish charm. But her horn-o-meter barely registered a 3. Sweet, but not the kind to make her pussy throb.
And then he approached.
Where Jules gave off "runway model who'll make love to you by the fireplace with a few kinks up his sleeve" energy, this man emanated pure male BDE - the type to choke you out while calling you a worthless little slut and spit in your mouth.
Tall, dark-skin, lean but muscled, shirtless (Lord help her), with hair styled in a high-taper fade and features that belonged in a high fashion campaign. His walk was pure predator, all confident swagger.
Jules dapped him up as well. "YN, this is Aurélien."
Aw-ree-lee-an.
The way Jules said his name, all French pronunciation, had her hot and bothered before Aurélien even opened his mouth. His name matched him perfectly - regal but with an edge, like expensive dark chocolate with a little spicy kick.
Aurélien's gaze fixed on her with an intensity that made her mouth go dry. "What's up?"
YN's brain froze. Actual words failed to form. "I-I…"
Jules giggled (literally!) at her obvious short-circuit while Aurélien's mouth quirked into a knowing smirk. He knew exactly what he was doing and he knew he had her hook, line, and sinker.
Well fuck, her intrusive thoughts swooned. Looks like the roster just got another spot.
"So you're the singer Jules won't shut up about," Aurélien's voice was impossibly deep, his French accent richer and darker than Jules'. Every word felt like honey dripping down YN's spine.
"That's me," she managed, proud her voice didn't crack.
Cama launched into rapid-fire questions about her music, while Jules kept his hand protectively at her waist. But Aurélien… Aurélien just watched.
His tongue darted out to wet his bottom lip, teeth worrying it as his eyes tracked her every movement. Even when she was focused on answering Cama's enthusiastic questions about her tour, she could feel that intense gaze.
"Your song about identity struggles," he suddenly cut in, his deep voice making everyone else pause. "It's really dope."
Lord, even when he's being vulnerable he sounds like he wants to rail you against a wall, her intrusive thoughts screamed.
"The bridge of that song," his tongue made another appearance, "it's tough."
"I-" YN started, but her brain was barely working as he finally broke into a full smile.
Roster status: CONFIRMED, her intrusive thoughts declared. Hot Girl Summer just leveled up.
"We should let you guys get back to practice," Jules said, a note in his voice that YN couldn't quite read. "I'll see you both at dinner?"
DINNER? With both of them?
Aurélien's smirk returned. "Wouldn't miss it."
As Jules led her away, she could still feel those eyes following her. YN's thoughts were still racing about Aurélien - that intense gaze, the way his tongue worried at his bottom lip, how his voice seemed to vibrate through her entire body. The man was dangerous in the best possible way. Maybe she could–
Her internal monologue cut short as Jules suddenly backed her against the tunnel wall, caging her in. His expression was unreadable — a mix of amusement, intensity, and something darker that made her pulse quicken.
"Jules?" she wondered with wide eyes.
"I knew it would happen." He shook his head, letting out an almost skeptical chuckle.
"What are you—"
"You feeling Auré?" YN's lips pursed together. "It's okay if you are, I'm not mad."
"But you're pinning me to a wall says otherwise..."
He removed his hands from either side of her face and moved back. "Désolé."
"'S'fine."
Jules cleared his throat. "Auré and I go way back - we knew each other since teenagers playing for Girondins in Bordeaux. Him and I...it always happens." Another laugh, then his eyes hardened with intensity. "We tend to like the same girl....a lot."
"Oh?" YN said, eyebrows furrowing, encouraging him to continue.
"Our type is the exact same so what can you expect? I just never...well actually no, this makes sense."
"Wait, how did you know that he likes me?"
Jules just gave her a look that screamed Woman, are you fucking blind?
"You're grown, so I won't go off and say it's me or him, that's pathetic as fuck. I just want honesty, however."
"On?" YN asked, sass creeping into her voice.
"If you fuck him or not."
"Why does that even matter?"
Jules moved close again, his brown eyes never leaving hers, except for a brief glance at her lips. "Because I want to fuck you too."
I TOLD YOU, GIRL!!! her intrusive thoughts screamed in victory.
Fuck... her rational thoughts whispered.
YN stood there, thoroughly shook. Summer of YN had just taken an unexpected turn.
_______________________________________________
YN paced her hotel balcony, taking desperate pulls from her CBD vape like it was a lifeline. Her hands were shaking slightly as she pulled up Lewis' contact.
He answered on the second ring. "I know that tone. You got tea." Always the gossiper.
"I'm having a crisis."
"Miles and Roscoe are with me – want me to call back?"
"No, put me on speaker. I need all the guy perspective I can get."
"Huge fan, by the way," Miles' British accent chimed in.
Any other day, two British accents would have her swooning. Today? She was too stressed to even notice.
"Go 'head," Lewis encouraged.
She spilled everything — the kiss with Jules, meeting Aurélien, the tunnel confrontation, her and Jules' heated makeout session before he left for practice. "I should be getting ready for the match but instead I'm out here having an anxiety attack!"
Lewis was quiet for a moment. "Shit. I'm so proud of you, sweetheart."
"Don't mock me!"
"I'm deadass."
"You not gonna fuck 'em both, are you?" Miles asked. "They're best friends."
She heard Lewis murmur something about "like how we shared Corinne…"
"Oh that was fun," Miles reminisced, "but I don't think this is the same, bruv."
"Hello? What about ME?!" YN screeched.
"Fuck them both," Lewis said simply.
YN's eyes bugged out cartoon-style. "Lewis!! Did you not just hear what I said–"
"It's your Hot Girl Summer, right? You're getting your lick back and exploring all the things you weren't given by that limp-dicked motherfucker. Fuck. Them. Both. But use protection."
"Oh fuck, bruv," Miles laughed. "YN, maybe they want you to do that? Usually code for wanting a threesome. You don't have to if you're uncomfortable. Most guys–"
"I already did that, Miles." Another deep inhale of CBD.
"Holy fuck, when?" Lewis demanded.
"In Florence… 'member Enzo? I… uh… kinda slept with him and his friend, Carina…"
"Oh wow, a girl? So 'What They Don't Know' is really true?" Miles asked.
"Well, more bi-curious but Carina's tits were insane and she could even — you know what, let's not get distracted. Yes, I did it before. Now, do I want to do it again? Maybe. Depends how it comes about but I don't want to ruin their friendship."
"If they have the same type, I'm certain it happened before," Lewis reasoned.
"Plus Jules just wants honesty," Miles added. "Said he respects if you sleep with Aurélien. Ball's in your court."
By the time she hung up, YN was somehow more confused than before. But her shoulders felt lighter.
Now she just had to figure out what to wear to this damn match. After two more puffs from her vape, she went back into her room and got dressed.
An hour later, YN studied her reflection, adjusting the Les Bleus jersey Jules had given her. The fabric felt expensive, custom-fit. She paired it with high-waisted jeans that made her ass look fantastic - if she was going to have two French footballers eyeing her, she might as well give them something to look at.
In the car, she deep-dived their Instagrams. Jules' feed was pure fashion editorial — designer fits, artistic shots in Paris and Barcelona, the occasional shirtless workout pic that made her bite her lip. His captions were thoughtful, sometimes poetry in French that had her reaching for Google translate. Meanwhile, Aurélien's grid screamed quiet confidence — training videos where his muscles rippled, candid shots with that intense gaze, photos with his family that somehow made him even sexier. Both their comment sections were thirsty as hell, but neither seemed to engage with the attention.
JULES: Pros:
Those dreads and that smile that haunted her dreams
French model vibes with the fashion sense to match
Already kissed (and LORD what a kiss)
Gentleman in streets, freak in sheets energy
Actually listens when she talks, remembers details
That swagger when he walks
Speaks three languages fluently
Likes her music (actually listens to it)
Cons:
Not usually her type physically
Athlete (still trying to break that habit)
Best friends with potential other dick appointment
Might be too smooth for his own good
AURÉLIEN: Pros:
Tall dark and handsome (her exact type)
That VOICE could make her pregnant just listening
Those EYES that seem to see right through her
Built like a Greek god with abs for days
BDE off the charts
Probably throws it down like a champion
Quiet confidence that screams "I can ruin you"
Has a cute dog (Ocho gets extra brownie points)
Cons:
Athlete
Best friends with current makeout partner
Might be too intense
Haven't even kissed yet (but lord does she want to)
Probably knows exactly how hot he is
The stadium was a madhouse. French fans had taken over one end, their chants echoing across the pitch. She filmed some of the pre-match atmosphere for Big Kyle ("Girl what in the soccer hell are you doing?" he texted back) and her mama ("Get you one of them fine men baby!").
When the teams lined up, her breath caught. Jules and Aurélien stood next to each other, both in their element. Jules caught her eye and winked while Aurélien's gaze was pure heat – a deadly combination that had her squirming in her seat.
The match itself was intense. She found herself actually getting into it, screaming at calls she didn't understand and filming Jules' defensive masterclass and Aurélien's midfield dominance.
"This sport is all edge, no release," she muttered in annoyance during halftime.
France's goal in the 85th minute sent the stadium into chaos. She jumped up with everyone else. The team celebration was pure joy – until she caught sight of Jules and Aurélien, shirts clinging with sweat, muscles pumped from exertion.
I'm in trouble, she thought, crossing her legs.
Her pussy throbbed in agreement.
_______________________________________________
YN waited in the designated area, trying not to stare at the crowd of women who looked like they'd stepped straight out of a Fashion Nova ad. All skin-tight dresses and platform heels, clutching jerseys and phones.
This must be the WAG recruitment section.
Aurélien emerged first, fresh from the showers in ripped jeans and a Dior tee, topped with Virgil's Nike collab.
"RIP Virg," YN said automatically, nodding at his feet. "I've got the same pair."
His eyes lit up. "You know about Virgil?"
"Please, I cried when he passed. The Louis drops were iconic."
They fell into easy conversation about fashion until Jules appeared, also shower-fresh and designer-clad.
"Cama's staying back to play COD with Michael and Ibou," Jules announced.
Aurélien kissed his teeth, saying something in French that made Jules smirk (she really needed to learn ASAP).
Oh god, she realized as panic began to settle at the pit of her stomach. It's just us three.
The restaurant was all mood lighting and exposed brick, with intimate crescent-shaped booths. Of course she ended up sandwiched between them, Jules' thigh pressed against hers on one side, Aurélien's arm brushing her shoulder on the other.
She focused intently on her menu, then the silverware, then counting the exposed beams above - anything to distract from the heat radiating from both men.
Aurélien's throat clearing broke her concentration. "The wine here is excellent."
"Especially with the steak," Jules added, his hand finding her thigh under the table.
Her foot-in-mouth disease struck again: "Isn't this a bit awkward?"
"Only because you're making it awkward," Aurélien's voice dropped lower as his arm settled around her shoulders.
"Very awkward," Jules agreed, fingers drawing patterns on her thigh.
The waitress's arrival was both salvation and torture - salvation because it broke the tension, torture because after ordering her strongest cocktail, she was right back to being trapped between them.
Summer of YN? her intrusive thoughts purred. More like Summer of Getting RAILED.
For once, her rational thoughts didn't disagree.
"The duck here is a good choice," Jules suggested, his hand still drawing lazy circles on her thigh.
Aurélien's touch crept up her arm to the base of her neck, fingers gently caressing. "The fish too."
The dual sensation sent electricity through her body. "I have to pee!"
She practically sprinted to the bathroom after Aurélien let her out, locking herself in a stall and calling her mama.
"Mama, I'm at dinner with both of them and I don't know what to do!"
"Baby girl, listen to me," Sherelle's voice was unusually serious. "Don't make any choices tonight if you're still conflicted – not about one, not about both. Just enjoy the free meal."
"Thanks mama."
After actually using the bathroom and washing her hands, YN stared at her reflection, taking deep breaths.
She returned to find them laughing, speaking French:
"Ce but était fou!" (That goal was insane!)
"Oui, mais ton arrêt était meilleur." (Yeah, but your save was better)
"We were about to send a search party," Aurélien teased, letting her slide back in.
Jules pushed her drink closer. She muttered thanks and downed half of it.
"Damn girl," Aurélien whistled.
Jules chuckled while YN sat up straighter, trying to ignore how their hands found their previous positions - though now Aurélien was playing with her hair.
The waitress returned for their orders, both men responding with "Danke schön."
Four languages, her brain noted. Impressive.
As they ate, Aurélien showed her more pictures of his Belgian Malinois, Ocho. "He's my baby."
But their touches never stopped — Jules' hand on her thigh, Aurélien's fingers in her hair. Their eyes kept finding her, both clearly interested.
The rest of dinner was a delicious torture. YN learned that Aurélien had picked up some Italian during his time at AS Monaco, both men were well-traveled, passionate about their craft, and seemed to genuinely want to know her thoughts on everything from music to politics.
"Your take on identity in 'Quarter Life Crisis' went hard," Aurélien said, his fingers still playing with her hair. "Being Black in predominantly white spaces…"
"The pressure to conform," Jules added, squeezing her thigh gently.
They had dessert – a dark chocolate mousse that had YN trying not to make inappropriate sounds as she ate. Both men watched her lips wrap around the spoon with undisguised longing.
When the check came (which they split, waving off her attempt to contribute), YN's head was swimming from both the cocktails and the constant physical contact.
"Where to next?" Jules asked, helping her out of the booth.
"I should probably head back…" she started, but Aurélien's hand found the small of her back.
"We could get drinks at our hotel," he said, that deep voice making her shiver.
The look Jules and Aurélien exchanged wasn't lost on her. Her mama's words echoed in her head: Don't make any choices tonight if you're still conflicted.
"Rain check?" she managed.
"Sure, chérie," Jules smiled, though his eyes held heat. "Let us at least drive you back."
The car ride was silent but charged. Jules sat next to her in the back while Aurélien took the front, but she could feel both their attention on her.
Outside her hotel, they both got out to say goodnight. Jules kissed her cheek, lingering. "Sweet dreams."
Aurélien's goodbye was a whispered "À bientôt" that made her toes curl.
In her room, YN collapsed on the bed, her skin still tingling from their touches.
Her phone buzzed - a group chat had been created:
Jules 🇫🇷: Thank you for having dinner with us x
Aurélien 🌹: Sleep well, belle
I really am in deep fuckin' trouble, she thought, staring at the ceiling.
YN scrolled through her phone, some German reality show playing in the background. Her Instagram feed was flooded with footage from yesterday's match, but one post made her pause:

The DeuxMoi comment made her stomach flip. There were blurry shots of her with Jules, but none with Aurélien… yet. If people found out about both of them…
A knock interrupted her spiral. She adjusted her bonnet, wrapped her robe tighter, and peeked through the peephole – only to find it blocked.
"Just open the door, cherie," Jules' voice called out.
She opened it to find both men holding paper bags. "This has to be a fucking joke."
Aurélien's smirk could melt steel. "Are you gonna let us in or…"
"I'm seriously thinking against it."
Jules chuckled. "We got crepes."
The smell hit her nose and her stomach betrayed her with a growl. "Fine, but no funny business." She moved aside to let them in and watched them unpack enough food for a small army, squinting suspiciously.
They'd clearly planned this.
After washing their hands, they settled at the dining table.
"Come sit and eat, YN," Aurélien said, biting into his bacon.
"Yeah, cherie," Jules added.
YN sat between them again and they ate in silence until Jules shifted toward her. "We want to apologize about last night. We might've come on too strong. We're French, it's unfortunately in our DNA to just–"
"Go off the deep end?" YN finished, spreading jam on her croissant.
"Yeah…" Jules laughed. "Like I told you before. Auré and I have been tight since Bordeaux - that's about nine years of friendship."
"Give or take," Aurélien added.
Jules rolled his eyes fondly. "That's my bro. And dealing with liking the same girl…again… is annoying but it is what it is."
YN blinked. "So…?"
Aurélien interlaced his fingers, placing both hands on the table. "We just trying to see who should talk to you or if you could make it so much easier and just hang out with us both. Separately or together."
"Oh." Then a lightbulb went off in realization: "OH."
"I mean if you want," Jules rushed out, eyes mischievous.
"Or separately," Aurélien added.
"Either way works with us."
"Hold on," YN's mouth moved faster than her brain. "You guys… did… it… before?"
"Once or twice," Aurélien shrugged. "We were young, eighteen and twenty with some girl from Bordeaux."
"We really didn't know what we were doing," Jules admitted. "But Auré and I were talking last night after we dropped you off. Hashed some things out. Decided that if it did happen again, we should talk about it."
"And this is what you guys came up with?" They nodded and she fanned herself with a napkin. "Okay… uh… thanks for the honesty?"
"You're welcome."
"No problem."
"Can I think about all this?" YN asked. "I mean, yes to separately, but the idea of both… at the same time…. I need more time to reflect on all that."
"Sure," they chorused.
"And you guys wouldn't be mad at each other, will you?"
They laughed. "No, Jules and I are brothers for life," Aurélien smiled.
"Okay, whew…" She wiped fake sweat from her brow. "And you know this isn't serious, right? Like don't catch any feelings…" Foot, meet mouth again. "What I mean is that I'm focusing on my career and I don't want to get in any relationship right now–"
"We understand," Jules said.
"100%" Aurélien agreed.
They finished breakfast, Jules and Aurélien clearing the table like they'd done this a hundred times before.
"Got a sponsor meeting," Jules announced. "See you later?"
"Yeah, later," YN agreed before his lips found hers, his hand cradling her head. Even with Aurélien watching, the kiss made her toes curl.
"Prends soin de notre fille," (Take care of our girl) Jules told Aurélien.
Aurélien sucked his teeth, pushing him playfully before dapping him up.
Once Jules left, Aurélien's gaze found her. "Let's chill, bébé." He took her hand, leading her to the bed. He kicked off his sneakers - careful not to crease them - and lounged like he belonged there.
YN's thoughts went into overdrive. The way he moved, all casual confidence and lean muscle, had her brain shorting out. And those hands….Lord, those hands looked like they could...
"Come 'ere," he beckoned, and something about being told what to do made her melt. She lay beside him as he propped himself up on an elbow, studying her. "You're stunning, you know that?" His fingers traced her jawline. "Those eyes... that smile... the way you light up when you talk about music."
"You're handsome," she offered.
"I know." That smirk revealed an unexpected dimple on his right cheek. His cockiness should've been a red flag, but somehow it just made him more attractive.
Maybe athletes aren't ALL bad, she mused. At least these three.
We don't date them, her rational brain warned.
But fucking them? Go 'head girlfriend! her intrusive thoughts cheered.
"What're you thinking about?" His voice was pure sin - deep like aged whiskey, the kind of voice that could talk you into anything and make you thank him after.
"Nothing much." She changed the subject. "What did Jules say before he left?"
"Honest?"
"That's the best policy."
"He said to 'take care of our girl'."
YN blinked. "Wow, you guys really don't waste any time."
"We're French," he chuckled as if that explained everything. "Europeans are a little…"
"Possessive? Handsy?"
"We like what we like," he shrugged. "And we're just going off of you. Like you said at breakfast - separately until you want both. So separate it is. For however long you want to hang out with us, you're our girl."
Something about being "their girl" made her stomach flip pleasantly.
"And if I wanted to 'hang out' with other people?"
He gave her a look. "As long as it isn't anyone on the team, we're cool."
"I don't even know anyone else on the team besides you and Jules–"
"Good, let's keep it that way. No more teammates, but outside of that… sure, why not?"
"Are you going to see other–"
"Nah, I'm fine with what I have in front of me."
"Interesting."
"What can I say? I know how to share," he chuckled. "I'm a big brother, so I guess it comes with the territory."
"I saw the pictures on your IG, the ones with your siblings."
"Are you stalking me?"
"No," she said quickly. Yes.
"Yeah, I have two younger siblings. Anne-Maïsha and Yannis. Do you have any?"
YN shook her head. "Only child… at least from what I know. My dad left me and mama when I was three, so who knows?"
"I'm sorry, ma belle," he said softly, his large hand covering hers and giving it a light squeeze.
YN scoffed as memories of her absent sperm donor flooded her mind. "It's okay. Fuck him."
"Fuck him then."
Her smile had barely formed before his lips found hers. If Jules kissed like he was trying to steal her soul, Aurélien kissed like he already owned it. His lips were soft like the finest pillows, and the way he kissed was pure dominance — all teeth and tongue and promises of what that mouth could do elsewhere. When he pulled back, that smirk was deadly.
"You're going to be a problem. Aren't you?" she asked, but already knowing the answer.
"Maybe a bit," he said, truthfully. "I've been told that I make women go crazy over me."
"Wow...you're a cocky bastard."
"All cock, no bastard," he quipped then pulled her towards her for another kiss.
This kiss was hungrier, deeper. His tongue swept into her mouth as his hand gripped her hip, pulling her closer. She moaned as his teeth grazed her bottom lip, his other hand going inside her bonnet to touch her hair. Every touch felt electric, his fingertips leaving trails of fire on her skin through the thin robe.
When he finally pulled back, they were both breathing heavily. His eyes were dark with want, that dimple appearing again as he smirked at her dazed expression.
Best. Summer. Ever, she thought hazily, already leaning in for more.
The fro-yo place bustled with early evening energy. Jules was loading his cup with toppings - chocolate syrup, Oreos, and caramel gummies.
"You like chocolate?" YN teased.
"I love chocolate," Jules said winking at her and then slowly licking syrup from his fingers in a way that made her mouth water. The sight of his tongue sliding over his skin had her mind wandering to all sorts of inappropriate places - like how that skilled tongue would feel trailing down her neck, her stomach, between her—
"YN?! Oh my God, it is you!"
She plastered on her ‘fan smile’. The teenage girl bounced excitedly while her boyfriend looked bored.
"I love your album! It's on constant repeat!"
"Unfortunately," her boyfriend muttered, earning an elbow to the stomach.
"Can I get a picture?"
"Oh, we're kinda–"
"I'll take it, bébé," Jules offered.
The girl's excited scream nearly burst YN's eardrums. "Sorry," she whispered.
Jules turned into a whole photographer — crouching down for the perfect angle, directing them to move left, then right, catching the best lighting. He even suggested different poses, making the girl giggle as he found her best side.
"Thank you so much," she gushed to Jules, then turned to YN. "You're amazing. And your boyfriend takes great pictures!"
YN choked on air while Jules just smiled, watching them leave. "That's going to blow up online," YN said after they left. "Jules, I'm so–"
"It's okay, don't stress. Let's eat our fro-yo," he said, his accent making it sound like fwo-yoh, and YN doubled over laughing.
"Am I being bullied?" he pouted.
"Boy, don't even."
"What? You're making fun of my accent. You Americans, man," he clicked his tongue, exaggerating his French accent even more.
The cashier eye-fucked Jules as he paid, her eyes trailing over his arms in his fitted tee, but he didn't spare her a glance. YN bit back a smile.
Outside, warm summer air wrapped around them as they walked toward his hotel. Groups of people crowded the outdoor seating areas of restaurants, their laughter mixing with the sounds of clinking glasses and distant music from the bars along the Rhine.
"How was your day?"
She smiled, remembering Aurélien's kisses, how his hands had mapped her skin, the way his teeth had grazed her neck... "It was fun."
"I bet it was."
"Did Auré tell you—"
"No, we don't share details. You just look... satisfied and have a dopey-ass grin on your face."
At the crosswalk, waiting among the evening crowd, she bit her lip. "So Auré and I can do different things, right? Like... sexual stuff without you?"
"Is the world free? Sky blue?"
"Don't be a dickhead."
"Yes, you can do sexual stuff with him. I thought we covered this?"
"We did, but with you two having history–"
"If you're gonna suck his dick, just gurgle mouthwash before kissing me. Fair?"
She nodded, speechless. "What about–"
"Use a condom."
"How'd you know–"
His knowing look said everything.
Jules tossed his empty fro-yo cup in the trash, then turned to her with that devastating smile. "Now, can we stop talking about my best friend and go up to my room so you can let me lick you until you cum?"
Well shit if you put it like that, her thoughts purred. Her thighs clenched at his directness.
"Uh… sure."
"YN, cherie. Yes or no?" His voice dropped lower, making her shiver.
YES YES YES! "Oui." If only Duo could see her now...
"Merci," his eyes darkened with promise.
The hotel lobby was all marble and modern art, their footsteps echoing as they headed to the elevator. The moment the doors closed, Jules had her pressed against the mirrored wall, his lips tasting of caramel and chocolate. His tongue swept into her mouth as his hands gripped her hips, pulling her closer—
Ding!
Someone cleared their throat, making her and Jules jump apart, and Aurélien stood in between the doors wearing black Nike sweats and Bottega slides.
"What's up?" Jules' voice was remarkably steady as they fist-bumped.
"Nothing much. Getting my UberEats." Aurélien's smirk was pure sin. "Have fun."
YN yelped as his hand connected with her ass when she passed him, the sound echoing in the elevator. His deep chuckle followed them down the hall.
Jules' suite was pristine — floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, designer clothes carefully hung in the open closet, Rimowa luggage arranged perfectly in a corner.
"Are you good?"
"You guys are so weird."
"Yeah… just a bit." His eyes dropped to her lips, darkening again. "Now, where were we?"
Before YN could even form an answer, Jules closed the distance between them, his lips claiming hers in a kiss that made her toes curl. It wasn’t just a kiss; it was a promise, one that sent heat pooling in her belly and her mind spinning. She gasped as his hands gripped her waist, and to her shock — and pleasure — he lifted her as if she weighed nothing.
Her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist as he carried her to the bed, his mouth never leaving hers. The feel of his strong arms beneath her, his body pressing against hers, made her dizzy with desire. He laid her gently on the soft mattress, hovering above her, his dreadlocks falling forward to frame his chiseled face.
Jules kissed her again, slower this time, his hands beginning their journey across her body. His fingers slid beneath the hem of her top, lifting it inch by inch until it was over her head, leaving her in just her bra. He pulled back, his eyes sweeping over her as though committing every inch of her skin to memory.
When his gaze landed on her bra, his lips quirked into a faint smile. "Take it off for me, bébé," he said, his voice a low rumble that made her shiver.
She reached behind her, fumbling with the clasp before it finally came undone. As the straps fell away, Jules’s breath hitched. Her dark, full breasts were soft and inviting, her deep brown areolas taut with arousal.
"Tu es belle," he murmured, leaning forward to press his lips to her skin. His tongue flicked over one nipple, and YN gasped, her back arching into a bow. He took it into his mouth, sucking gently, his hand kneading the other breast with firm, practiced movements. The sensation sent a jolt straight to her core, and she moaned his name, threading her fingers through his dreads to pull him closer.
Jules’s erection pressed insistently against her thigh, hard and unrelenting, but he wasn’t in a rush. He paused just long enough to coax her hips up and slid her pants down her legs, followed by her panties. Her bare pussy was exposed to him, the soft landing strip above her folds drawing his gaze.
"Mon Dieu," he murmured, his fingers lightly tracing her folds. "So pretty."
YN squirmed beneath his touch, the praise making her cheeks heat even as her arousal grew. He teased her clit with slow, deliberate circles, watching her reactions with a smug grin.
"Jules," she moaned, her voice trembling.
"I’ve got you," he assured her before stepping back to undress.
Her eyes widened as he pulled his shirt over his head, revealing sculpted abs and broad shoulders. His skin was smooth and warm-toned. When his shorts and boxers dropped, her breath caught. His erection stood proud — long, thick, and with a distinct curve, the head glistening with precum. She couldn’t help the thought that raced through her mind.
It looks so delicious.
Before she could think twice, her hands reached out to touch him, her fingers grazing his abs before wrapping around his length. Jules groaned, his head falling back as her grip tightened.
"Careful," he whispered, his voice tight with restraint. "You’re driving me insane."
Tentatively, she leaned forward, her lips brushing the tip. The salty tang of his precum met her tongue, and she whimpered, eager to please. But as she took him into her mouth, her teeth grazed him slightly, and Jules hissed.
"Watch your teeth," he said gently, his fingers threading through her hair to guide her.
She adjusted quickly, finding a rhythm as she bobbed her head along his length. Jules’s groans deepened, his hips rocking slightly in time with her movements. His taste was intoxicating, a mix of salt and musk that made her want more, even as her jaw ached from the effort.
After a moment, he pulled her back, his chest heaving. "I need you to cum first," he said, his voice rough with need.
He gently pushed her back onto the mattress, spreading her thighs as he settled between them. His mouth found her again, his tongue exploring her folds with the same precision and care he’d shown her breasts. YN’s moans grew louder, her hips bucking against his mouth as he worked her clit with steady flicks of his tongue.
His fingers joined in, slipping inside her and curling upward to find the spot that made her cry out. YN’s legs bracketed his head, her muscles trembling as the tension in her belly coiled tighter and tighter.
"Jules, I’m—"
He groaned against her, the vibration sending her over the edge. Her orgasm hit her like a wave, her body convulsing as she cried out his name. Jules didn’t stop, lapping up everything she gave him with a reverence that made her head spin.
When she finally came down, he pulled back, his lips glistening. One hand fisted his erection as the other caressed her breast, his grip tightening as his hips bucked forward. He managed to jerk off two more times then—
"YN....putain," he groaned, his release spilling onto her stomach in hot, thick streaks. The warmth made her moan softly, her body still humming from the aftermath of her climax. Jules was breathless for a moment, his eyes fixed on her as he caught his breath. Then he smiled, soft and satisfied. "Let me clean you up."
"Okay," she said, her voice low and hazy.
He padded into the bathroom, returning with a warm towel to gently clean her. His touch was careful, his gaze tender. When he was done, he tossed the towel aside and lay down beside her, pulling her close.
"Good?" he asked, his lips brushing her temple.
"Magnifique," she murmured, making him chuckle.
"Not bad," he praised.
YN sighed contentedly, her eyes fluttering closed as sleep pulled her under.

The morning sun filtered through the floor-to-ceiling windows as YN stretched, her jaw still a bit sore from getting acquainted with Jules' impressive length, her thighs tingling from his expert tongue work. Dominique was right - European men were built different. She reached for Jules but found his side empty.
"Jules?"
"Bathroom," he called back. The toilet flushed, followed by running water.
He emerged in black boxers, morning wood on display, and YN couldn't help but appreciate the view.
"You're saying I'm the freak, but it's really you," he teased.
"I get down sometimes," she shrugged.
"Oh, do you?" He leaned down to kiss her, then trailed his lips to her neck. She moaned softly before he pulled back. "As much as I would love to keep going... I have to get you back to your hotel."
Reality crashed back - Hamburg, quarterfinals against Portugal.
"Got an extra toothbrush?"
"In the drawer, chérie. The blue one's new."
While brushing her teeth, she examined his skincare arsenal: La Mer moisturizing cream, Sunday Riley UFO acne treatment, Drunk Elephant vitamin C serum, and some fancy French brand she couldn't pronounce.
How does this man have better products than me?
Back at her hotel, Jules kissed her goodbye. "Team bus leaves in an hour. See you in Hamburg?"
"Yeah... though I might hang out a bit with Aurélien."
"You should," Jules smiled against her lips. "Just meet me before the match? I'll have someone bring you to the player's area."
"Not worried?"
"About Auré? Never. About Portugal? A little."
"Promise to kick Ronaldo's ass for me."
"With pleasure, chérie." One more kiss, then he was gone.
While on the elevator to her floor, she sent a text to her other French baguette:
YN to Aurélien 🌹 Dinner in Hamburg?
Aurélien 🌹 Perfect. I can give that ass another smack 😈 Been thinking about it since last night
YN You're impossible 🙄
Aurélien You like it though 😏 I'll make it worth your while, ma belle
Rolling her eyes but smiling, YN exited the elevator, walked down to her hotel room, and began to pack for Hamburg.
This summer just kept getting better.
