I made air fried Mac n cheese balls today!

I added cayenne pepper, paprika, and garlic salt to the bread crumbs so these have a bit of spice to them 🙌🏻

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! MAKIO UZUKI 🍰

Throughout 2024, I've been making treats for some of my favorite idol characters on their birthdays! Today we have Makio Uzuki from iDOLM@STER SideM, the final one I'll be doing this year!

For Makio, I decided to try making a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream frosting! I later found out that he has a card with a very similar looking cake, so I used it for his picture this time 🥺

This was an experience to make, haha. On one hand: this recipe is wonderful! The cake is very soft and the strawberry filling is sweet and tangy. I used full strawberries on top instead of halves to match Makio's cake. On the other hand: cake decorating has never been my strong suit, and the whipped cream frosting seems to melt pretty quickly, so this came out MESSY. Not pictured: the amount of filling that leaked out the middle. Here's a link to the recipe I used! I will say that you should probably halve this - this cake is HUGE and we have a ton of leftover whipped cream frosting and strawberry filling lol

I can't believe this is my final baking project for the year! I'm so glad I decided to do this, it's been a ton of fun and I really enjoyed broadening my horizons a bit.
