Miraak headcanons because I have brainrot. Take the food.
When he gets exposed to mead again he acts like he's not interested but the LDB eventually finds him sampling meads he hadn't had in centuries. Miraak has to build his tolerance back up but he enjoys the taste all the same.
Miraak would be very quiet while on the road. You'd see him just looking around, taking in the sights and sounds he'd almost forgotten. Though he'd wish bears didn't attack them so much. He finds them neat.
He was taken in by the cult as a young child so he doesn't remember much about his birth family besides his brother Vahlok.
The dragon priest Krosis acted much like his guardian, keeping an eye on him, scheduling his training and getting him out of trouble. Being a former master thief, he taught Miraak a few thing or two in stealth.
Labrythian would be a place he'd recognize the most and it'd give him some mixed feelings. Not that he'd vocalize it himself. In Bromjunaar he might wander to find where he used to sleep at one point. He wouldn't talk about it right away, but it'd be obvious it'd be kind of getting to him.
Nords wouldn't look at Miraak funny, since to them, he'd look like what some nords would aspire to be. Miraak finds it funny considering he's Atmoran but he lets them think he's just a tall nord.
Attraction wise, Miraak didn't really have a preference. In his youth he'd never stick with one concubine for too long. They'd bore him after a while and he'd crave someone who could hold an intelligent conversation. However there were hints he had an affinity for elves. He says his cult made of dark elves was just coincidence.
The imperialization of the Nordic pantheon had always made him quietly disappointed. He'd refuse to use any other names than what he was raised on.
Talos was a controversial topic at first, Miraak couldn't fathom how a dragonborn after him became a god instead and then became important to Nords. The other Ysmirs would make sense to him to a capacity. Heimskr in Whiterun had no idea that he'd be on the verge of being shouted across the cloud district.
While he's touch starved, he moreso craves the simpler ways of affection. Quietly linking his fingers with his s/o, hugging from behind and cuddling before passing out in bed.
Camping is a guilty pleasure for him because the ambiance at night makes it easy for him to sleep. Silence makes it hard for him to get drowsy so he'd often leave windows cracked if he has to sleep indoors.

Could be angsty Imagine request for Darkiplier and the reader being stuck inside due to a raging snowstorm outside reader's place? Maybe they has a lil camping stove for hot drinks and food and plenty of blankets and things should be fine ( but Dark keeps getting flashes of the DA as reader does things that they did one time Damien and the DA were stuck in the office due to a snowstorm and angst! or maybe it just strikes a fond cord in Dark and it's cute and fluffy. Completely up to you! )
Stranded
I really like this request! Certainly took it in more of a fluffy direction than I intended, but I think people will still enjoy it.
Darkiplier x GN!Reader, TW: mention of death, fire Words: 1076
It was cold in your cabin, but you insisted to Dark that a vacation away from the manor would be good for both of you, but especially him. You wanted him to actually enjoy his vacation, and apparently the snowstorm outside was insistent on the both of you staying. Dark wasn’t in his normal suit, instead opting for more of a layered sweater look, a collared shirt underneath his dark blue crewneck. You could tell he didn’t wear this kind of look often, but he looked, almost softer? The edge that he normally looks like he’s on is gone, like he’s finally allowing himself to be comfortable. His posture has also changed, shoulders more relaxed, and his smile seems a bit more genuine.
To him, he viewed you as his entire world. As much as he knew he would have to get done when he got back to the manor, a weekend away in the woods would do him some good. What he wasn’t expecting was to be reminded of your past life so much. When he had pulled you from that mirror, you were different, and it took much repairing on both of your parts to come back to the place you started. His eyes followed you as you put a kettle on top of the wood fire stove that he was keeping up. The glow of the fire flickered across the cabin, casting moving shadows that almost made it look like the two of you were dancing.
He had brought the record player, setting it in the corner. For now, the only background noise remained to be the crackle of the fire, but his heart sung as he watched you move. When you both had been younger, different people, yet still the same, you would come up to his cabin in the winter time. He looked forward to it, just the two of you, the one vacation he always made sure to take time off for ahead of time. At first when you created the tradition, you tried to plan things like skiing and snowboarding, but you both soon came to realize that you simply just enjoyed each others’ company, and began just staying in the cabin for the majority of it.
Bright winter mornings on the front porch over peppermint tea, cuddling on the couch by the fire, watching a movie on the projector that he always brought, watching him chop wood out back while you prepped dinner. It was homey, domestic, something that you both equally craved, but couldn’t have due to the nature of your jobs.
You had both joked about quitting your jobs and dropping off the face of the Earth just to hide up in the cabin, but neither of you had the heart to leave the city in disrepair and possible turmoil if you did. And then that fateful night, full of death, betrayal, and heartbreak. You both left anyways, but not of your own accord. Both victims of the circumstances that left you both hurting each other in the process. The ring you now wear is a testament to that time, when he had planned on surprising you on that fateful night. There was supposed to be a beautiful sky that evening, not that he would’ve been looking anywhere but at you.
Now you’re both shells of the people you once used to be, the mayor and district attorney long forgotten to the obituaries column of a hundred year old newspaper. His aura glowed blue, his sister finally resting. It was calm, the ringing that normally followed him calmed, adding into the ambiance of the setting if it was even there at all. The creaking of snow on the roof outside, the crackling of the wood, the near silent hum of the song you were singing to yourself. It was a perfect orchestration just for him, just here, just with you.
But nothing could bring back those days at the old cabin, nothing could bring back the way things had been, nothing could bring back your friends and loved ones that you lost on that night. So you had both promised each other that you’d make new memories. Above the mantel hung photographs, the original ones that he had held onto, rescued from that manor. Repaired, restored, the smiling faces looking back at you. His sister’s wedding day, his election day, William’s promotion to colonel, Mark’s premiere for his breakout role. You were all there, supportive, loving.
That manor drove you all apart. Slowly corrupting Mark, and eventually the rest of you. Wilford knew not of his previous life, Damien and Celine forced to cohabitate for the rest of their lives, your skin cracked like the mirror you were left in. Where Mark was, you didn’t even know anymore. You hoped that the friend and confidant you once knew is still in there, the one who you knew never wanted to hurt any of you in the first place. You knew what the entity could do to all of you, and you were all living examples of the frankenstein ways of this dark force.
The kettle finished and you pulled out the tea cups. A light blue one with a white rose for him, and a gold one with a red rose for you. Although the colors were more up Mark’s alley, something about it felt right. You had always been the more loud and fanciful of the two of you, even with his previous job being the mayor. Sure he had to go to these parties, but you were the one that kept him from getting bored and weary. He looked forward to making you laugh as he spoke in circles with donors and backers, that smile was all he ever wanted to see.
You snuggled in next to him as you blew on your tea, him waiting for his to cool on the coffee table as the record player started up. You rested your head on his shoulder, his hand rubbing your arm as it wrapped around your shoulders. Your previous life ended one hundred years ago, your second life was those hundred years of waiting apart. But this new life that you were creating together, that would surely last a lifetime. His other hand held your free one, matching rings shining in the firelight together as you got cozy under the blanket.
Life is ours to choose, and your choice was each other. Forever.

💕Sell Out Tactics💕
(TW: Suggestive posing images, vulgar language, not abiding to neither the canon nor fanfic canon series)
〚 Tiny Short 〛
Rasshu glared at the kimono set that Gyutaro held out to her. It was black with a gold fabric trim, something that the demon knew his fiancée would love but he knew that this would be easy… The antsy hashira’s hands twitched as her eyes darted around the room but Gyutaro had boarded up everything before trying this stunt; They both needed the funds to get his food without killing people and Rasshu just wasted money buying a huge hotel in the entertainment district… now leaving her without funds for most things until her next mission!?
Rasshu backs up against the wall as the large demon trudges up and over with an eerie expression. And then with a foul swoop, the once stern and headstrong hashira was reduced to a embarrassingly pretty mess! Gyutaro decorated his woman with oils and perfume; glitter and gleam; and stolen jewels.
The boarded up room was lit with a yellow hue coming from the lit candles. The ambiance was warm as Gyutaro was positioning Rasshu’s body in a provocative way as he began to set up an old camera. With a grin, he snapped his first pic!
(After a few pictures, the tinies chewed through the wooden boards and began to cause their own special havoc)

Maeklong Railway Train Market
On a warm and bustling evening, my friend and I decided to make the most of our hour and a half of free time in Sathon, a vibrant district of the city. Not wanting to waste a moment, we hailed a Grab car to take us to our destination. As we approached the area, we could already sense the energy in the air.
Upon arriving, it was clear that we had chosen the right spot for some excitement. The streets were teeming with activity, and the constant stream of motorcycles added to the buzz. The atmosphere was electric, with the unmistakable thump of loud music resonating from various establishments. The lively ambiance was intoxicating.
We began to explore our surroundings, passing numerous bars and tattoo shops that lined the bustling streets. The neon signs and lively chatter of patrons spilled out into the streets, creating a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds.
Our first stop was the main market. Initially, we found only a few clothing shops that offered basic, commercial clothing. But as we ventured deeper into the market, we stumbled upon the food section. It was a treasure trove of culinary delights from various cultures. Feeling adventurous, I decided to try crickets, octopus with spicy salad served in a plastic bag, chicken breaded strips, and soju. The flavors were an explosion of tastes, and the atmosphere around the food vendors was both chaotic and exciting.
Although sushi was plentiful, we hesitated to try it, as it seemed to be left in the heat for hours. Instead, we moved on, eager to explore more of what the market had to offer. Toward the end of the market, we encountered vintage shops and even a few weed shops. Some of the vintage stores had a westernized feel or offered high-end designer items, but the overall vibe was still cool and inviting.
We decided to take a break in the market's carpark area, where a group of local boys on skateboards approached us, asking for a lighter. Attempting to bridge the language barrier, we engaged in a short-lived conversation in Thai, which resulted in laughter and smiles.
As we continued towards the front of the market, we reached a wide street flanked by bars on both sides. It was clear that they were in competition, each one featuring a live band playing at full volume. The music was deafening, reminiscent of the famous Khao San Road, and the energy was infectious.
As we prepared to leave the market, we passed by more bars, clothing shops, and tattoo parlors. One particular bar caught our attention, or more accurately, our ears. The loud, raw sound of a live rock band beckoned us inside. It was a riveting experience, and we couldn't resist the urge to stay and enjoy the show.
The band played their hearts out, and we joined the crowd in cheering and dancing. The band were crazy, some of the guitarists jumped over the fence onto the road and started playing in the middle of the road despite several cars having to drive around them. It was a night filled with unexpected adventures, new flavors, and a vibrant cultural experience that we would remember for a long time. Sathon had revealed a side of the city we had never seen before, and we couldn't have been happier with our spontaneous decision to explore this lively and eclectic neighborhood.

Unpacking Social Capital in South Philly and Urban Mall Realities
My friend and I decided to go to South Philadelphia to visit a popular restaurant for lunch, Blue Corn. After ordering too much food, we asked for take-out boxes to pack our leftovers in. When the waiter brought us our boxes, we noticed that the boxes had the name and logo of another local restaurant, a small Vietnamese spot just down the street. My friend and I looked at the box in confusion but did not pay much attention to it. It was only after learning about the concept of social capital in class that I came to realize the significance of this mix-up with the take-out box. While reflecting on this situation, I began to realize the interconnectedness of the local restaurant community in South Philadelphia. This instance suggested that Blue Corn may have temporarily run out of their own take-out boxes and reached out to their neighboring restaurant for assistance. This seemingly minor incident exemplified the community's inherent sense of cooperation and mutual support, a prime example of social capital. In this close-knit community, social capital was highlighted by the restaurants collaborating, sharing resources and ultimately having a supportive network among local establishments.
After our trip to South Philadelphia, we decided to go on a shopping trip to the Fashion District Mall. While on our visit, I could not help but reflect on the stark contrast between my mall experience and the description of malls as safe, predictable spaces given by Palen in Chapter 5 of The Urban World. In fact, it was the complete opposite of the mall experience described in the reading and in class. The ambiance within the Fashion District was far from the orderly environment one might associate with malls. Instead, we encountered a chaotic scene with rowdy teenagers running through the mall, engaging in fights, and snatching merchandise from stores. Their disruptive behavior and disturbances created an atmosphere quite unlike the anticipated sense of safety and predictability.
While writing this post, I stumbled upon some interesting articles mentioning that there was a restriction in place, requiring individuals under 18 to be accompanied by an adult after 2:00 PM in this mall. This piece of information shed light on the mall's attempt to address the challenges posed by unsupervised juveniles, but it also raised questions about the effectiveness of such measures (https://whyy.org/articles/fashion-district-minors-accompanied-adults-safety/)
I found myself wondering whether this significant difference was due to the mall's urban location, in contrast to the more common suburban mall setting. It raised the question of whether the dynamics of malls, as spaces designed for comfort and security, might differ significantly when placed within the context of a city or are there other factors at play? For me, it seems as though the elements that contribute to the unpredictability of urban life seemed to find their way into the mall, challenging the conventional notion of malls as places of safety and security.

Guzzu Bento-ya, 1102 Lawrence St, Los Angeles (Arts District), CA 90021, Score: 46/50
Guzzu Bento-ya, aka Tokyo Deli Café, must make the prettiest bento boxes in LA. The food looks too pretty to eat.
Score: 46/50
Food: 5/5 – Choose from deluxe bento boxes (the protein is cooked to order), katsu sandos, stews, salads, donburi rice bowls, etc. Everything is made with love and is simple and for the most part, healthy. You’ll be amazed by the pickles and little salads in your bento box. Proteins are cooked to order.
Coffee: 4/5 – For drinks, they have espresso drinks, drip coffee, tea, matcha, and fruity drinks. The fruit drink seemed watered down to me, but I did ask for it to be less sweet.
Wi-fi: 5/5 – Free, unlimited, secure. The password is posted at the register. The wi-fi worked great.
Ambiance: 5/5 – Reminds me of a café you’d see in Japan. Very cute Japanese art on the walls and framed pictures of bento makers in Japan, I presume, and their bento boxes. The large communal table has a planter with an artsy, cutesy Totoro display. They also provide books for you to browse and show Japanese anime projected on the wall.
Noise: 4/5 – Quiet, the Japanese music is upbeat
Plugs: 5/5 – Quite a few
Parking: 4/5 – Street parking has been easy to find but the area is industrial with a lot of homeless people. It’s dirty and scary. But I think you can park as long as you want.
Comfort: 4/5 – Some chairs are padded, some are not. It’s dark inside and the AC isn’t strong enough
Bathroom: 5/5 – Two gender-neutral restrooms, code is posted by the register
Art: 5/5 – Japanese artists, very cute
Tips: Online ordering is available on their website. Help yourself to complimentary cold water. Cash is not accepted
