Summary: The troopers had been ordered to hang back, and indeed they hadn’t had an opportunity to get close enough to Skywalker or to effectively surround him, as whenever they came close he seemed to vanish before reappearing a few blocks over. If he didn’t know better, Piett would suspect that Skywalker intended to be caught.

My thoughts: So fun to see how Luke negotiated with Vader. Piett being shell shocked is funny too.

(mad respect for going ham w noses like noses usually get overlooked in art but yours are so CUTE they remind me of those kinda hard kinda foamy noses on plush toys? Love them)

I spent the last like month wondering both what orv stood for and also why so many of your IDs mentioned the viewpoint. I just assumed that was a new ID technique (I did not notice they all mentioned the same viewpoint). Also I kept turning orv into Orville in my head (idk what Orville is) and wondered if that was somehow what it was

Were you named after anyone?

First name, one of my mom’s college roommates. Middle name, kind of. But it’s not a family name. Fun fact - i have a baby named after ME and she’s adorable. 

When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday (Tuesday). I was thinking about my dad. 

Do you have kids?

psh. no. but I want kids! 

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Sarcasm is my first language. I grew up on it and occasionally, I have to actively refrain from being sarcastic because I don’t always realize that I’m doing it until someone thinks I’m being mean and my response is horror and guilt and assuring them that “no, you are my  f r i e n d  and I like you a lot, which is why I’m like this!!” 

What’s the first think you notice about people?

idk. no one thing really catches my eye until I know if I can vibe with that person. sometimes I can just tell whether I’ll get along with someone or not and I’m usually right. if i won’t, i don’t notice anything. if i think i will, then the color of their hair. 

What’s your eye colour?

Blue. my parents only blue-eyed child. 

Scary movies or happy endings?

Definitely both. But I lean a little more towards happy endings at the moment. It’s a back and forth kind of thing. 

Any special talents?

I can squeak like a guinea pig and I use to be able to whistle with my nose.

What are your hobbies?

Hiking, writing, reading, sleeping in, and spoiling my niece and nephew as is my inherent right as their favorite aunt. 

Have any pets?

My sweet doggo, Luke! He’s a border collie-blue heeler mix and will be two in September!! He’s an absolute sweetheart and I adore him. 

What sports do you play/have you played?

Gymnastics. 

That’s it. I did it for ten-ish years. Won a state championship once and balance beam was my specialty, with the uneven bars as a close second. I sucked at vaulting. 

How tall are you?

5′3 - which i blame partially on having done gymnastics for as long as I did. But I also think I am the perfect height for a woman, thank you very much. XD

Favourite subject at school?

Reading. History. Pottery. Crime. 

Dream job?

Never had one. But I do work in a prison and it’s pretty tight, not gonna lie.

i have been exploring the ecosystem of star wars father/son kidnapping fanfiction, in a way grazing like a feral cow in the chernobyl exclusion zone. all the grass tastes like 137cs for some reason. very little of it is edible in any way. HOWEVER

my number 1 favorite flavor is sticking a person in a room or basement or cave or something and watching them break down because they can't leave. its just so epic. so im not gonna say this fic is good, but i liked it.

very headcanon-heavy, but it satisfied me. i will probably quietly reread this a dozen or so times in the future.

if you were curious, there is an objectively good version of this kind of plot out there. Persephone's Waltz by ErinPtah, a fic where homura tries to lock madoka away in a basement so she doesn't meguca herself. 70k words, proposes homura having an unexplored stint as a game dev, includes homura kidnapping sayaka to be madoka's emotional support animal.
