Apparently "bust his scales" is the crab version of that phrase.

it's silly but i think kamala is going to win solely because my sister saw a 3-person rally for her downtown in my dogshit conservative hometown in my dogshit conservative state and the fact that even just 3 people were willing open themselves up to arrest and abuse for her to win and are also from where i'm from is immensely hope-inducing to me.

Funny Bones is such a cute ship name~!
I like to imagine their dynamic is also something like this:
Skully: *attempts to be suave by flirting*
Yuu: *smirks and flirts back using a dirty joke*
Skully: *blue screens as he was not expecting this and slowly flushes grey as he processes the joke and flouders*
Skully has to learn that Yuu will counter back with a flirt of her own, everyone in the group knows this and no one warned him. Also this guy is apparently taller than Malleus, so Yuu remains to be the short one in every relationship I pair her with.
Skully: That is not fair, Homura!
Yuu, smiles: Sorry not sorry, Bones.

mouthwashing spoilers ig bewaaare it's so fascinating just How Much people hate Jimmy Mouthwashing, despite that when it comes to Evil Deeds he actually lags behind a lot of other horror characters.
He's not a serial killer. He's not even really a killer (the only person he hands-on murders is Swansea in implied self defense). He's bitter, entitled, emotionally immature, impulsive, misogynistic, a rapist and enabled by Terminal Nice Guy Curly. Aka, a guy you've worked with, or a pissy uncle that keeps getting invited to christmas out of enforced politeness, your boyfriend's friend who keeps making you uncomfortable and you keep being told that he's a "good guy" deep down. A scumbag of which there are a dime a dozen of.
Any readings that he was a machivallian evil mastermind to me feels like huffing cope. Because the entire game is just Jimmy fuckign, floudering, as his actions suddenly have a lot of consequences that he wasn't emotionally equipped for. He thinks he can fix things, and that it's not really his fault, sure he assaulted Anya but she wasn't supposed to get pregnant from it, sure he crashed the ship in a temper tantrum but he didn't think Curly would get meatified from it. He sends Daisuke into the hutch because he's too much of a coward to do it himself, but he wasn't supposed to get injured from it. Yeah he's treated Anya like shit but she wasn't supposed to kill herself. Swansea comes after him with an axe — that wasn't supposed to happen either. And at the very end, Jimmy martyrs himself to "save" Curly (how saved he gets from being turned into a cryofrozen treat is debatable but I like to think it does ensure his survival, for the themes), so he can have some fucking solace that he managed to set things right before he kills himself — when in actuality all he did was ensure that he will run from taking responsibility for the rest of time.
After all, no one can hold you accountable if you're dead.
Jimmy isn't evil, you the player would be much more comfortable with his character if he WAS evil. He's just pathetic, making excuses, and emotionally lashing out, lashing out over the trauma he inflicted on someone else having consequences for him he sees no obvious escape from for once. Curly can't nepo him outa this one, lads. And all it takes is a few button presses to doom the entire ship.
Then he doesn't even have the guts to own it. He doesn't have the guts to own what a shitty person he is, called out directly in-text by Swansea who like we stan Swansea but I would not be surprised if his list of crimes (minus ship-crashing) looked exactly like Jimmy's, sexual assault included.
And that's the whole point of Mouthwashing innit. The worst guys you know will be some dick who refuses to own up to his own scumbaggery because he can't stand to look himself in the mirror if he does, and the people who cover for him. Evil doesn't exist (the contexts for where I think it does is a different and politically loaded conversation), usually it's just Some Fucking Guy who thought he was too good for therapy and magikarp splashed his path of carnage through other people's lives because of it.
Jimmy could have set things right, but that meant grappling with what a shitbag he is and the damage he caused Anya, and for certain people embittered by their own mediocrity, Armageddon is just the much more glamorous option.
And when he's forced to pick up the pieces and take responsibility, he breaks. Despite how much we hate it, it's very easy in this world to become a Jimmy, to fuck up and hurt people and then just go nuh-uh-nuh-uh until we've convinced ourselves we really did nothing wrong; to brainwash ourselves into thinking running away from accountability is the noble action. Even easier to become a Curly, with a pet Jimmy scrambling around that you can't be fucked to hold accountable because that's like, so messy, and a bother, it's fine, he's just a little grouchy you guys. Yes yes Anya I hear your concerns but like... I dunno, this puts me in a really complicated situation, you understand?
People know this instinctively, and that's why they feel like they have to parade Jimmy around like the Worst Guy Ever, to wash their hands of him, since that's more soothing than thinking about how much of a Boring Regular Guy he actually is. A Boring Regular Guy you've got in your life right now who kind of puts you off but nobody is actively dealing with. You included.
That's probably a large part of why this game haunts people, and why Jimmy just gets under their skin so bad to call him like the most irredeemable guy ever. In a genre he shares with like the Mad Father himself and Sachiko the torture ghost from Corpse Party, or the lady from the Amnesia DLC, etc. etc. (Astarion BG3 is also Objectively a shittier guy than Jimmy Mouthwashing, which isn't a fair comparison because different genres with different stakes, but it is a funny one.)
also he's in yaoi with curly soooooorry it's in the text as he cradles that meated up bod and stares straight into curly's bulging eyeball and forcefeeds him pills. and then his own leg. his love language is just complicated ok dont judge.

So I watched The Little Mermaid (the original animated disney version) tonight for the heck of it. Been a while since I've sat down and watched the whole thing in a single sitting.
Afterwards I was like, hmm Eric's voice sorta sounded familar, but I'm not sure if I'm just thinking of this movie or if he was in soemthign else familar
So I look up the movie, and find his voice actor then look at the other stuff he's done, theres not much I've actually seen that I'd recognize him from, so okay I was probably just thinking of this movie. (He also voiced prince charming in the Cinderella sequels, and was spiderman in the old cartoon)
Then I realized that The Little Mermaid 2 wasnt in his list of stuff.
So I look up the sequel to see who voiced Eric there. (As I'm scrolling through the list of actors, most of them came back to reprise their roles. Not sure why Eric's actor didnt. Anyway)
And so I get to Eric's voice actor and who is it?
Its hecking Rob Paulsen. Rob Paulsen who voiced Raphael in the tmnt 1987 cartoon, and Doantello in the 2012 cartoon!!!
(Bonus: One of the other few actors who replaced a voice in the sequel (Flouder's voice actor) was Cam Clarke, who voice Leonardo in the 1987 cartoon)

Listening to the interview I'm actually not sure why she went on the podcast. She didn't have anything interesting to say and I agree with you she came across as a very awkward and unsure. Even the anecdotes of things she did in her youth came across as self-conscious. And while this may seem like shade I don't mean it in that way, but I don't think she actually has that much ambition, I think she talks a lot about a lot of things but nothing ever comes to fruition or they're ended abruptly and never mentioned again: the Gin which has floundered for years (plenty of spirits/liquors have been released despite Brexit) the script she's been working on for 8 years, the book she commissioned to make into a movie, the book club that ended abruptly and is made to seem as if it didn't exist, never finding a small project to direct on her own etc.
I didn't see the point to this interview either. I don't get why Cait flew from London to partake in it. Odd. I agree that Cait exaggerates her ambitions and has exhibited some flakiness. Bookclub being the perfect example. She totally flaked out on that. She chose a book for her members to read then left them hanging without ever mentioning it again. Blaming Brexit on the her FMN Gin abandonment is ludicrous. She was floudering trying to explain her way out of that. I could hear get discomfort and kept saying "my husband" this and "husband thought it would be a good idea." Maybe she felt extra uncomfortable because the people on that table knew of her real circumstances and she felt the heat of shame.

Link to Prompts :]
🧡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦- What was Henry's childhood like?
Henry grew up in rural Utah on a farm with his twin sister, parents and grandfather. His dad taught him how to skin animals from when he was probably too young to be doing that and he's always enjoyed picking guns apart and putting them back together and these things sort of... merge in his head. Bones and sinew and gears and oil are more similar than they are different.
Him and Jenny go to a small school in town and Henry is brilliant achedemically. Like almost scarily so. Jenny gets bullied for being boyish and Henry sticks up for her because they're practically attached at the hip. Saying that Henry doesn't really have any other friends- he doesn't see anyone else as being 'on his level.'
Henry is trans btw! His family is surprisingly okay with it especially cus they're homophobic but they see Henry as their little golden child so.
It was a very religious household (protestant specifically) and Jenny runs away with her girlfriend when they're 17. Henry tries to keep in contact with her but it's hard, he doesn't really get it. But he loves her so he tries. He goes to Salt Lake mostly so he can reconnect with her.
💲- How successful were the restaurants/attractions?
They were practically the only thing to do in Hurricane but outside of that it's just kinda... modderately successful? Like no one is getting filthy rich through it or anything but it's stable. Until the deaths, obviously, then it flouders. Henry's holding that thing together through ductape and spite.

1) How do you hear the voices of the Young Titans sounding like in your mind? Like does Chris in your version sound like Gumball from Amazing World of Gumball, Jon like Aang from Avatar, etc?
2) If Chris; Jake, Robert and Jon were at a wrestling show that was passing by and the big bad heel was walking down the aisle, would they be the guys that throw their drinks and other trash at said heel?
3) What are the Young Titans’ views on say the Super Mario Bros series as a whole?
4) same as 3) though for Sonic The Hedgehog?
5) What are the Super Bros’ (Osul, Jon, Chris and Conner), Jake’s and Robert’s worst ever injuries they got in the field of superhero duty?
Great questions buddy! @paladin-of-nerd-fandom65 :D
1:
Jake: I say Spencer Fox aka the voice of Dash from The Incredibles
Mar’i: I say Taylor Dooley who plays Lavagirl from the Sharkboy & lavagirl movie
Robert: I say the voice actor for kid Superman in the justice league cartoon. Or Taylor Lautner who plays sharkboy in Sharkboy & Lavagirl.
Lian: same voice as her cartoon self in young justice (easy Peezy XD)
Irey: the voice actor who plays the character Laura in Slient Hill 2 remake. (Has a bratty voice you should look it up XD very cute)
Jai: I say Brick from the powderpuff girls anime: Powerpuff girls z I think it’s called.
Cerdian: definitely Flouder from the Little Mermaid XD
2: yes & No XD that would be a waste of $30 (if Jake bought all of the drinks) they would definitely boo the heel & would cheer & giggle when the heel gets defeated by the face and/or humiliated. (Get stinkfaced, low blowed, force to eat worms boogeyman style etc)
3: as a whole they love it, their parents definitely would show them the older games (as the 3D games were YT’s childhood) to have some family bonding moments.
4: same as 3, do prefer the older games though, some of the 3D games (Sonic unleashed, shadow game; my favorites btw 😉) were mix for them. The movies were good plus the knuckle series. Jake & Robert went on a bf date for both of the movies. (Most likely watch the 3rd too)
5: oh this is easy, I’m gonna answer this with one sentence: getting hit in the balls XD kidding (not really 😜)
Conner: I say stabbed in the chest with kryptonite.
Chris: broken ribs, nose, & black eye during his “fight” with his father general Zod (😉 details coming soon)
Jon: got his butt zapped by a ray gun by a goon, everyone could see his bare butt XD
Osul: got a bruised & bloody face by some Blue Earth members.
Jake: broke his shoulder while trying to rescue some people from a burning building.
Robert: got shot in the knees by arrows from Ares (yes/no it’s a Skyrim reference XD)
Let me know if you got more buddy! :D

Not the colour blue
I'm spending today photographing and uploading documentation from my childhood for my upcoming adult ASD assessment. My heart is breaking for this kid on the pages of school and special educational needs reports from 1988. She's reporting stomach and knee pain, chronic fatigue, textbook childhood chronic migraine worsening at menarche, shitty PMS and painful periods, and she's falling into severe depression and anxiety because she's being disbelieved and punished for all of that. She's become terrified in school, of school, despite academic excellence, but every source of 'help' is trying to shoehorn her back into mainstream education as if the issue is behavioural, not medical.
"Claims to be ill to justify absence". "Investigated but no medical cause found." "Is receiving medical support with these issues." 'Psychosomatic' is the new 'hysteria'.
Much of this paperwork is from 40 years ago, give or take. I remember the context and much of the detail. I remember complaining that professional adults were putting words in my mouth and pressuring my mum to agree with them. I did not, sadly, have the vocabulary back then to respond with the words I wanted on record about the reasons I was struggling or the possible solutions - words like "overwhelmed" and "meltdown" and "pacing" and "rest". So I was diagnosed with severe anxiety - a fairly typical presentation for an autistic girl masking the crap out of her real self all day, every day, in the desperate hope of fitting in. Educational psychologists demonised my dad. A defensive secondary school demonised me (but, helpfully for current purposes, did so in terms that, today, read like textbook autism-masking in girls rather than a misbehaving little brat with hypochondria. Vindication?)
This all sounds really negative and whiny, I know. It's not, I promise. I am angry on behalf of that little girl, and all the other kids like her who spend their lives trying to argue with medical authorities that the colour black is, in fact, not the colour blue, whatever they say.
Every bit of paper here, bar the defensive school's statement, says I was doing my best. Always doing my best, always willing, polite, articulate, academically capable and self-motivated. Socially isolated, but causing no trouble for anyone if left alone to be so. I knew one colour from another better than many functioning adults, even if I couldn't find the words to say so when I was 14.
Maybe I'll be diagnosed with ASD at the age of 50, maybe not - the absence of an adult who can remember this period and fill in the observational evidence side of the assessment is a real barrier to an accurate diagnosis, but this 1988 SEN paperwork at least provides a snapshot of one neurodiverse and overwhelmed 14 year old who held out with rational arguments and consistent statements against the idea that her parents were to blame for any of this. Held out against the idea that illness was faked as an excuse to avoid school. Who proposed practical solutions and gave them an honest try, even when they were a disaster. Who began to thrive when a short-term placement in a small special needs group became possible, only to flouder again when it ended.
I'm mostly writing this because I know that, still, children and teens are struggling to be believed when they say, "something's really wrong, I'm really struggling with 'normal' expectations here, please help me figure it out and cope". Or whatever words to that effect they can muster at their developmental age. "A headache in my tummy" is the classic one for littles with migraine. Adults in general have got better at listening - at knowing there are things like ASD and AD/H/D and chronic illness to watch out for, but I know that young people are still too often overwhelmed by and underprepared for independent adulting in the same way that I was (and, when pressured from the outside, still am) having been punished by the education system. My 18 year old nephew just paid for these struggles with his life.
I'm here to say that you're not alone if you're struggling. It's never too late, and the world does move on from old ignorance. Slowly, slowly, but it does. Vindication will probably be yours before too long, but with or without it, you'll grow up to be you. That's all anyone can reasonably ask. That's what I did - the only thing I could control. Being myself. I didn't think I'd survive being this girl I'm so angry for, but I did survive. I found my own path when nobody would help me, and when the internet came along, I found so many people with similar stories and knew that I wasn't alone. Slowly, at 50, I'm finally unlocking the puzzle box and finding my answers - and I'm believed.
You're not alone if you're struggling. Struggling now doesn't mean that you will always struggle. Lack of answers now doesn't mean that answers will never come. You're always you, and it's enough. Take it from that girl who lived it. It's enough to build a life on, so please don't let go.
