I see you're asking for smutty Din requests. May I suggest you my favorite?
Breeding Kink Dom!Din?? 👀
[[ Anon!! I’m so sorry this took so long, it’s literally been in my drafts/WIPs for like?? Three?? Weeks??? But I finally managed to finish it and I hope you like it!!! ]]
CWs: smut / literally very little plot / established relationship / daddy kink if you squint / breeding kink / soft dom Din / praise kink / unsafe sex / oral sex (f!receiving) / spicy language / religious undertones (may be considered blasphemous?) /
——
Din has no idea what the hell has come over him. Normally he’s the epitome of a gentleman; kind, soft spoken, honourable, respectful. Everything a man should be, everything he was raised to be. Everything the Creed teaches. The way he’s currently thinking and feeling? Is the very opposite.
He’s been having these dark thoughts all day. Not dark as in cruel, or evil. Dark as in sinful. Dark as in something forbidden. And it’s all your goddamn fault. Not that you know it, of course. No, you have no idea what you’re doing to him, and that makes it all the worse.
It’s the way you play at swords with the foundlings. The way you are so quick to repair torn tunics or bandage scraped knees. The way you always make sure to bring back cakes and sweets for each child whenever adventure calls Din and yourself away from the covert. Much of what little money you have, you spend on the children, asking nothing in return. You don’t even get to see them smile; most of the children are old enough to have spoken the Creed. This doesn’t seem to bother you either; you smile enough for all of them, beam bright like the sun at the shrieks of joy that are passed through the foundlings whenever you open your backpack, hands full of treats, treasures spilling into eager smaller hands like a rainbow.
You are not Mandalorian, but the way you treat the children, the way you smile so easily, speak so respectfully - especially when asking a question about their culture - has endeared you to his people. Made you one of them, without being one of them.
The Creed teaches to be selfless. To be humble. To not want, not for selfish reasons. To want, to covet, is a sin, a transgression. And yet, he’s only human.
It’s not the first time the thought has crossed his mind. Only, before, he was able to push it away. To dismiss it as a fanciful, fleeting thought alone. It’s harder to ignore, seeing you like this. Why not admit it? The sight of you, surrounded by children, taking on that naturally maternal role, has made him want. Has made him wonder what you would be like if the child was his. His and yours. Made between you and stardust.
Once he’s let the thought in, it won’t go away. It begins curious, like that, but over the days becomes darker. Less curious, more lecherous. More sinful. Until it comes to where he currently stands, certain he’s going half mad with need and desire for you.
You’re completely oblivious to the battle raging in his head, folding some freshly laundered blankets, bent over to put them in the carved wooden chest at the foot of your shared bed, giving him a fantastic view of your ass in the soft leather leggings you’d picked up a dozen market trips ago. The view definitely doesn’t help things, at all, only suffices to make him even harder in his own snugly fitted pants.
He can’t go on like this, sinful and dishonourable or not.
He waits until you’ve set the blanket down, closed the chest, before he sneaks up on you; it’s easier to be stealthy without all his beskar on, each piece neatly set aside on velvet cloth on shelves hewn into the rock of the wall. He presses up against you, wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you flush against him.
“Is everything alright?” You ask; you’re used to him being quiet. Din is a man of few words, but there’s something off about his demeanour. You’re worried about him, he realises.
“Everything is fine. More than fine, really.” He reassures you, almost rushes to soothe you because he can’t stand the thought of you worrying about him when it’s unnecessary.
You lean back into him, comforted by the reassuring solidness of his touch, the feeling of his hands on your waist.
“Oh. I just thought… you’ve been quieter than usual and… I thought maybe I’d… done something you didn’t approve of?” You chewed your lip, waiting for the disappointment to appear. You were so certain you had done something wrong.
“What could you possibly have done wrong?” It concerns him, the level of worry you’re displaying. He knows rejoining the covert has been a change for you, but surely nobody’s making you feel unwelcome?
“I thought… maybe it’s not allowed… to spoil the foundlings like I do? Maybe it was some cultural thing you were too polite to tell me?”
He can’t help but laugh, relieved that that’s what your fear stems from.
“Not at all, love. Most of the children don’t have parents, and it’s not something many of our adults would consider. You haven’t done anything wrong.”
“I just thought… I felt you watching me, and I…”
His arms tighten around you, the ache in his chest matching the ache in his cock; his hands caress your waist, touching gently.
“I wasn’t watching you because I disapprove.” Din assured you, pressing a soft kiss to your neck. “I was watching you because I like seeing you happy.”
He pauses, considering for a moment, fighting those dark thoughts and losing.
“And because I wonder what you’d be like as a mother.” The words fall from his mouth before he can stop them. Not that he wants to stop them. For a moment though, he’s afraid he might have scared you, so he turns you round and leans down to kiss you before you can say anything.
You lean right into him, stand on your toes to reach him, and that’s enough to break any resolve he has, any concern or care. Never mind that it’s a sin, never mind that he shouldn’t be showing you his face, much less desiring you the way he does. If Bo can show the entire damn covert her face, then he can show you his. That’s his rationality at this point.
He’s too far gone to care, lifting you up into his arms to get you closer to him. He’s running on impulse now, and he knows it, but he’s no longer interested in holding back. Beneath his honourable demeanour, his gentlemanly behaviour, there’s a dark streak, and it wants out.
You wrap your arms around his shoulders, holding onto him, thighs locked loosely around his waist. It’s so rare that you get to see his face, so you can’t help staring at him, memorising every little detail. Din loves that about you, loves how respectful you are, how you never push his boundaries. You’d never ask him to show you his face, leaving it entirely up to him to decide; you’ve never once pushed the issue, loved him long before he finally showed you what he looks like.
He carries you the few steps to the bed, sets you down on it gently. You kick off your shoes, let him pull those sinfully tight leather pants down, before you lean up and tug his shirt off. You’re just about feeling smug when he catches your wrists, big hands wrapped around them, placing your hands at your sides.
Something in his gaze keeps them there. You’re used to seeing nothing but gentleness in his eyes, but there’s a burning desire there now that intrigues you. Makes you want to obey.
You let him pull your shirt up over your head, toss it aside, heated by the intensity of the way he looks at you, immediately returning your hands to where he placed them. The heavy boots and the pants he wears come off next, and then he’s laying you down, pressing the heat and muscle of his body against yours, kissing you like he’s starving.
Maybe he is. You know that before you, he didn’t particularly bother with intimacy when it comes to sex. His knowledge of sex was hard, fast, fully clothed, with no real attachment to it. Which is fine, there’s nothing wrong with that. You also know that he’s starving for affection. For touch. And you usually get to be on the receiving end.
He takes his time kissing you, knows it isn’t something he gets to do often, knows that even though you don’t say anything about it, you want it more often than he can give. He loves that about you; that you may not be Mandalorian, you may not understand the Creed, but you respect it. Respect what it means to him. That means more to him than he can ever articulate.
So yes. He takes his time. Kisses your mouth until your lips are bruised and swollen from his attention, but you love every second of it. He pulls away from you slowly, watches the way you look up at him through half-lidded eyes, lips still parted for him.
“What’s gotten into you?” You ask, but Din knows it isn’t a rebuke. He can tell by the way you’re looking at him, by the way your legs are spread for him, the way you’re fidgeting on the bed beneath him. It’s not a rebuke. It’s desire.
He doesn’t answer. Lets you run your fingers up and down his solid arms for a moment, before he pins your wrists above your head, one at a time, holds them there with one big hand.
You don’t question him again, but he can see approval and desire in your gaze, a flicker of understanding.
“No more questions.” It’s an order, albeit given in a soft tone. “Keep your hands right there for me, there’s a good girl.”
He releases your wrists, but you don’t move, won’t until he tells you to, remaining perfectly still as he kisses his way down your body, scarred hands settling on your thighs, keeping them spread for him as he looks up at you.
“So wet…” he’s talking more to himself than to you, but you still shiver slightly at the words, at the expression on his face as he stares at you, just for a moment longer, before he leans in, buries his face in your cunt.
You’re already wet, wet enough that he was able to see - and comment on - it. But it’s not enough for Din. He wants you soaked and begging for his cock by the time he’s through with you, wants his beard and the sheets absolutely drenched.
If you thought he was kissing you like he was starving, it was nothing in comparison to this. He keeps his hands firmly clamped on your shaking thighs, preventing you from moving, as his tongue laves at you, kissing and sucking at your clit, making you wriggle and moan beneath him.
You’re desperate to wind your fingers into his hair, but you know if you try, he’ll stop, and that’s the last thing you want.
It’s only when you start literally dripping onto his tongue that he relents, pulls away from you. He doesn’t even bother wiping his mouth, beard soaked with your slick as he moves back up, slaps the thick head of his cock against your cunt deliberately, teasing.
“You ready for me, baby?” He knows the answer already, likes the way you bite your lip and chew on it, nodding.
He leans down and kisses you, sucks your lower lip out from between your teeth.
“Answer me.”
There it is again, that faint hint of a demand, the tone so soft that you can’t help but comply.
“Yes, please…”
You know how to answer him, even though you’ve never seen him like this before, those dark eyes blazing like liquid obsidian as he surveys you, spread out for him, so needy and willing.
“There we go.” He lines himself up, slides into your soaked cunt; it’s not as smooth as he hoped, he’s too big and you’re too tight, and you can’t help but wince slightly at the feeling of him stretching you out, but he settles, pressed to the hilt inside you.
“There you go…” He almost moans it, keeps your thighs spread, hands moving your legs, bending your knees so your ankles are by his shoulders.
You know this position, realise why he’s doing it. It doesn’t scare you. The opposite, in fact. He realises it a moment later when he feels your cunt tighten around him.
“Oh, you like this, huh?” He drags himself out of you, slow, almost to the tip before he slams back into you, drawing a scream from your parted lips.
“Can I touch you now?” You gasp it out when you can breathe again.
He surveys you for a moment; the way you’re pressed beneath him, knees up by your tits, eyes heavy with need for him. How much better for him can he ask you to be?
“Yes,” he agrees, dragging himself out and pressing in deep again. It’s all the permission you need, hands immediately jumping to the solid muscle of his biceps, clinging to him as he slams into you.
He’s usually so gentle, so careful, but this is completely different. Wild, desperate. He’s not holding back, has no interest in being careful tonight, slamming into your tight little hole, moaning the entire time.
“Fuck, baby, so tight…” He nuzzles into your neck, keeps your legs firmly in the position he wants them in, pressing deep with each thrust, hard and fast.
“Feel so good, gonna fill you up, fuck my baby into this sweet little cunt…”
It’s filthy, you’ve never heard him say such things, but you love it, love how roughly he’s handling you, how wild and frantic he is, how your body responds to him. You can feel yourself tightening around him, milking his incredible cock as he drills into you.
“Please, please…” you can’t say much more than that word, repeated over and over as he fucks you, so hard the bed shakes.
“Keep begging me for it,” he moans it into your ear, one hand leaving your leg to fist into the bedsheets, holding himself up, bracing himself.
You drag your nails up his back, back arching up as best you can in the position he has you in.
“Please… need it… need you so bad…”
You’re overwhelmed, he’s so big inside you, so rough, not making any move to slow down even as he feels you getting closer and closer to the edge.
“Yeah? You gonna make me a daddy, baby?” He presses another kiss into your neck, shudders when he feels you tilt your hips to get him deeper, a gasp tearing from your throat when he hits your sweet spot.
“Please…”
You can’t form words, not when he’s pounding into your sweet spot with every thrust, saying such filthy, sinful things. You can’t hold on any longer, and he knows it, fucks you harder and faster until you’re writhing on the bed beneath him, tight, perfect little pussy tightening around him, keeping him in deep, massaging his cock as you climax.
“Fuck, baby, you look so pretty when you cum for me…” Din loves seeing you like this, body arched in a perfect mating press as he drills into you.
Any other time and he’d put you on all fours, press your face down into the bed and fuck you til you screamed yourself hoarse for him.
Maybe later. This time, anyway, he wants to see the look on your face when he fills you, the glazed look in your eyes when his cum leaks out of you. Not that he plans on letting that happen. He’s going to fuck you so full of his seed that you’re overflowing with it, but this first time? He doesn’t want to spill a drop.
Your nails keep raking at his back, pulling him close against you, and it’s that that urges him on, the way you’re looking at him, so desperately needy for him.
He could get addicted to this, so far removed from the slow and gentle and passionate intimacy you usually share.
“This all I needed to do to get you drunk on my cock?” He presses you down harder into the mattress with just his hips, relying on his strength.
You whimper in answer, clench around him again.
“Dirty girl,” he mutters, “you want this just as much as I do, huh? Bet you’ve been desperate for me to fuck you like this, put a baby in you.”
You don’t answer; can’t answer, because his words and his pace drag another climax out of you, surprising both of you. He fucks you through it, pace increasingly more rough and erratic.
“That’s it, baby. That’s it, fuck, I’m so close…”
He has to brace himself on the bed, fist clenching in the sheets as the other holds you steady, in place as he presses deep, grinds his hips roughly against yours, ensuring that every single drop of hot, thick seed fills you, stays deep inside you.
“Fuck, like that…” he pants, watching the way your eyes blaze with arousal and love as he comes back to himself, slowly, second by second.
He’ll have to repent later, ask for forgiveness for his sins, but right now? Right now he couldn’t care less, the hand that isn’t curled into the sheets caressing your - for now - still flat abdomen.
It won’t stay that way for long. Not if he has anything to do with it.

Degree Series :The Hidden Meaning of the Degree of Gemini: (3°, 15°, 27°)
ᥫ᭡ ᡣ𐭩 SO I've been diving deep into degree theory recently, partly because I wanted to gain a deeper understand as there is so much to unpack. I started with gemini as I have a lot of gemini energy in my chart, and so its mostly as a reference for myself however I wanted to share some of my findings here to help anyone else—whether you're new to astrology or a seasoned like me—who's interested in learning more about how degrees work in astrology. I plan to do a series covering all the signs, but I wanted to start with Gemini since that's where my focus has been lately.
When we think of Gemini, we often focus on communication, dual energy, quick thinking, and curiosity etc—but did you know that certain degrees of Gemini hold much deeper meanings?
3° Gemini: The Writers' Playground and Paths We Travel 📝🛣️
The 3rd degree of Gemini, we all know that it is traditionally connected to communication but did you know its also connected to the act of writing itself, so like things like —pencils, notebooks, stationery, and paper. I've always had a love for stationary, I would be so happy when my friends would buy me stationary for my birthday. This is the degree of the scribe. If you have placements here, you may have an intuitive connection to putting thoughts into words, making this an ideal degree for writers, journalists, and storytellers, journalling might be good for you.
3° Gemini is also tied to movement—not just short trips like we know but, crossroads, streets, and transportation. It governs traffic, bus stops, junctions, dual carriageways and the various means by which we navigate both physical and mental journeys. If you have planets at this degree, they may influence how you move through the world, both literally and figuratively. The mental agility of Gemini is mirrored in the constant flow of traffic and movement.
15° Gemini also governs corridors, balconies, and gates—the spaces in-between. These are transition zones, just like Gemini, which constantly moves between ideas, identities, and experiences.
This degree extends its reach into daily connections too: from chatting with a neighbor to a quick text or phone call, all short, rapid exchanges of ideas are tied to this powerful degree.
15° Gemini: The Intellectuals and In-Between Spaces
15° Gemini, we all know that it ties to all things communication, or intellectual work. It’s tied to journalists, literature, and education. radio anchor, radio presenter, news editor, magazine editor, teacher, speaker, publisher, social media marketer, all of that jazz.... It's a great degree for announcers—those who are literally the voice of information, whether on radio or TV.
This degree even links to personal documents like passports, driver’s licenses, or IDs—anything that helps you move between spaces, both literal and symbolic.
27° Gemini: Commerce, Communication, and the Power of Connection
Finally, 27° Gemini reveals a connection to commerce and communication. This degree governs shops, merchants, and the exchange of goods.
—it’s also about the gathering places where exchanges happen. Whether it’s a newsstand, post office, bus stop, or even a bookstore, this degree marks where people meet briefly, exchange ideas or goods, and then move on. It’s where we interact with our environment in fleeting yet meaningful ways.
There’s also a fascinating connection to siblings, twins, and childhood. This degree highlights duality, balance, and the ability to juggle two or more worlds at once—whether it's managing relationships with siblings, or navigating between personal and professional lives.
If you have placements at 3°, 15°, or 27° Gemini, pay attention to how these areas show up in your life. Whether you’re connecting ideas, working in a commercial setting, navigating different environments, or fostering quick, intellectual exchanges, these degrees reveal the dynamic, multifaceted nature of Gemini.
From writing and communication to short trips and business exchanges, these degrees show where the everyday world of ideas, movement, and commerce comes alive.

Falling Head over Heels (Pantalone x Male Reader) pt.3
Hello! A part three has arrived! This chapter also triples as a birthday present to @thedeimoshimself AND a happy two year lazzo anniversary! It's been two years hoyo where the FUCK is Pantalone?!
Notes: Sfw (why do I keep saying that, I don't have plans to make this NSFW), reader's dad is fully an asshole, slight homophobia and ableism? No slurs but like implied homophobia and reader is slightly infantilized over his condition by his mother
Pt.1, pt.2
If the occasional sight of Pantalone walking out of your father’s office didn’t give it away, the increasing arguments between your parents told you that somehow the man convinced the Regrator to become his business partner. You assume it’s purely on your father’s actual management skills, as there’s not a chance Pantalone found his first few impressions charming. Perhaps it helps that your father’s business shrinking down is more a result of a changing job market than it is any actual incompetence. That’s what you’ve heard, anyways. You were never a business major so most of what your father says goes in one ear and out the other.
Additionally, your father has been kissing Pantalone’s ass ever since the two started working together, and most of it comes in the form of inviting him over for dinner, where he will regale the Harbinger with a fascinatingly mundane tale or a business tactic that Pantalone has surely already mastered. You’re a rare guest at these dinners, choosing to work on your book instead.
Still, in the rare moments where you and Pantalone share the same space, you have to admit he’s pleasant company. He’s polite, and when he inquires about your work, he listens intently to your answer. You’ve also learned he’s a rambler, going on tangents the length of all your published works combined. It gets overwhelming whenever the subject is about Snezhnaya’s financial state or the profit margins of the Northland Bank, but his magnetic voice lures you in anyways. When you pass him by, you catch a whiff of a floral cologne, though it’s so fleeting and subtly you can never place the flower itself. Nothing that would grow in Snezhnaya.
… It would not be inaccurate to say you have the most littlest of crushes on Pantalone, but nothing more. He’s a conventionally attractive man with a soothing voice and nice taste in perfume. He also talks to you like he would your father, never with an air of pity or condescension like your family does. Naturally you’d be drawn to this.
Your mother has stopped mentioning her discomfort over the partnership because she has grown tired of arguing about it. She regards the Harbinger with politeness, as she would with any other guest, but makes herself scarce unless her presence is absolutely necessary. She thinks it’s hypocritical of your father to claim downsizing would be a black mark on your family’s reputation, but partnering with the Fatui for monetary gain is much better. She hates the thought of him being around you and your siblings, especially you.
You tie the twine wrapped around the stack of paper on your desk tight, ensuring none of the pages come loose. “I can handle him just fine.”
“He’s a Harbinger, you don’t just get that rank the moment you join the Fatui! You don’t get that sort of ranking or title through goodhearted, honest work.”
“I know.”
“Especially him. Being a charismatic and intelligent business man is his most notable trait. Who knows what sort of manipulative tricks he has up his sleeve?”
You turn around, your mother briefly passing through your field of vision, before you see your bed, and the open briefcase on top of it. Picking up the latest chapter’s draft, you make your way over to your bed. “So when he asks me how my writing is going, or what I’ve been up to lately, do I just ignore him?”
“Obviously not,” your mother replies, “but just… I don’t like him talking to you.”
“I’m a grown man,” you respond, dropping the draft into your briefcase, “not a child. I will survive a little bit of small talk with him when we cross paths.”
“Just watch what you say around him,” your mother insists, “he’s the kind of man that will find any weakness and exploit him, and–”
“I have many.”
“That’s not what I was going to say.”
You slam the briefcase and look up at your mother. “For the last time, I am not a child!” You lift your hand and curl your index finger and thumb into a small hole. “Just because this is what I deal with everyday doesn’t mean you have to keep coddling me!”
Silence hangs in the air as your mother stares at you, eyes wide and lip trembling. Irritation gives way to pity once again. You know she means well. You know she feels guilt. You know she blames herself for your shortcomings and frustrations.
You sigh. “Sorry, it’s the deadline,” you tell her, “I’m just stressed over the next chapter, I shouldn’t have yelled.”
“No, n-no, it’s alright,” your mother assures you. She approaches you, cupping your face in her hands so that you can only see her pitiful smile. She kisses your cheek. “I shouldn’t be burdening you with my ranting.”
And you promised to stop breathing down my neck so much. “I might be home late,” you tell her, “once I submit the chapter, my editor and I are going out to dinner.”
“You’ll have a much better dinner than I,” she jokes, though there’s a lack of humour in her eyes, “your father is entertaining Lord Pantalone tonight.”
You raise your brow. “Didn’t they meet up like two nights ago?”
“I don’t know anymore,” your mother replies, exasperated, “I feel like every other night I have to have that man in my home.”
You laugh. “Better him than the Doctor, right?”
“Oh don’t even joke about that,” your mother says.
You shrug your shoulders in response. You turn to your bed again, reaching down to secure your briefcase’s latches so your draft doesn’t spill out again. Once it’s closed up tight, you grasp the handle and lift it up off the bed. Your mother gives you another kiss on the cheek as you say goodbye, that you’ll probably be back once the Regrator’s left the estate. She wishes you luck, and lets you leave your room.
—
“Anyways, all this to say it couldn’t have been a more textbook example of fraud, like the exact scenario I would have brought up during an interview to test what a new teller would do in that hypothetical situation,” Pantalone recounts, laughing at the sheer absurdity of the situation.
Your father, sat in a chair across from Pantalone, chuckles as one of the maids fills up his second glass of wine. The flames of the fireplace reflect off the crystal clear glass. “Really? It was that obvious?”
“Really!” Pantalone laughs. “I admit, I actually had to look around at the rest of the tellers and the people in line, because I needed to know if I was the only one who was seeing this, or if I was being pranked. It was that bad. The teller who brought this to my attention, she was fully convinced I had sent them in as some sort of test to see if they were all conducting transactions properly.”
“That’s the sort of thing that would get your ass kicked,” your father remarks, taking a sip of his now full glass.
“I would phrase that less crudely, but yes, very much. Rest assured, they were swiftly removed from the premises and banned from all current establishments.”
Your dad whistles. “Y’see, this is why I knew us working together was such a good idea,” he says, “because you know how to handle trouble, and you make sure your employees know how to handle it too.”
Pantalone nods. “I believe that in order for us to truly take control of the money we use in our everyday lives, you must ensure the people handling your money know what they’re doing. Archons? Well, they don’t need mora, so they don’t really care where it goes or how it’s used or whose hands it falls into. We need to keep track of it all, because we can’t just will it into existence.”
“It’s why I’m proud of my children,” your father says, taking a noticeably larger sip of his wine. “They’re all hard workers. My eldest girl, she’s been working with me since she was a teen, she’ll inherit the business when I retire. My oldest boy’s a doctor, saves lives everyday and goes home to his wife and children. My second daughter, she’s a lawyer, ah what’s it called… I forget the name, but she does workplace accidents and whatnot, makes sure people are compensated for their injuries. My youngest girl is studying medicine at the Akademiya, wants to be like her big brother.”
Pantalone nods along to the man’s tipsy rambling, but pauses once he does the math. He recalls a conversation he had with you on a previous visit, and gives your father a perplexed smile. “What of your other son?”
“Hm?”
“Your son. The writer. The one who’s going blind?”
“You’ve met him, I don’t need to tell you anymore about him.”
Pantalone leans forward in his chair. “I’m just curious why you didn’t mention him as one of the children you’re proud of.”
“I am proud of him,” your father states, a noticeable slur in his voice. “I just…he’s different, y’know? He’s not like his siblings. He can’t do surgeries or lawyer things, he just sits in his study and types on that typewriter all day.”
“Hasn’t he been writing professionally for quite some time now?”
“They barely pay the boy! At least I don’t think they pay him much. Not enough for him to move out like his other siblings did.”
Pantalone opens his mouth to further question to rambling man, but both men jump when the unmistakable sound of a door slamming shut echoes from the floor above. It causes the host to spill his drink in his lap.
Pantalone catches a glimpse of your mother passing by the living room’s doorway, and calls out to her. She hesitates, but enters the room. The look of despondence on her face catches her husband’s attention, while the briefcase in her hands catches Pantalone’s.
“The hell was that?” he asks.
Your mother looks like she’s on the verge of tears when she speaks. “Our son’s out of a job.”
“What?”
“The publisher,” she says, “s-something about budget cuts? They said they c-can’t afford to publish his next book. He’s still new compared to the other writers they work with, so they’re only publishing the stories they know will make money. They don’t want to risk it with him, a-and…” She puts down the suitcase, and she wipes the tears from her eyes. “It’s not fair, h-he’s worked so hard and this is how they repay him?!”
Pantalone frowns. “The publishing industry is a harsh one,” he comments.
“Yes, he should be used to it by now,” your father comments.
“Like you have any idea about how his career works!” your mother suddenly snaps. “I don’t see you going to his book signings!”
Your father glares at her. “I’m sorry, but one of us has to work so the other one can stay home all day!”
“Don’t you dare,” she hisses, stepping towards and towering above her husband. “This is not about us, okay, this is about your son! He’s spent so long honing his craft and they just tossed him aside!”
“It’s not that hard to write something! I could be a writer too if I spent all day poking a typewriter! I’d write something actually worth reading.”
“His writing is lovely!”
“‘Course you like it, he writes prissy girly books! What sort of man writes books like that?”
I haven’t told my family I like men yet.
With the shouting from both your parents, your shame laced words echo in Pantalone’s head. If it only takes a glass and a half for your father to blurt that out, it’s no wonder why you two can’t seem to see eye to eye, why you’re ashamed of what you write. Even if he didn’t find you an interesting character, to hear a man talk about his son in this way disgusts him. This is not what Pantalone looks for in his business partners, and he sponsors Dottore.
The two adults stop screaming at each other like children when Pantalone stands up, silently commanding their attention. He gives them both a hard look, your father especially, chastising their behaviour with a mere look. Your mother wipes away angry tears and takes a deep breath, while your father just looks at the ground. Quietly, your mother apologizes and excuses herself for the night.
Your father hardly moves, swirling his glass of wine. He does not lift his head when Pantalone bids him goodnight and goodbye. As such, he does not see Pantalone reach down and grasp the briefcase’s handle.
The halls are empty, silent save for the sounds of Pantalone’s footsteps. When he returns home, he will have to reconsider his affiliation with your father, perhaps after he views the contents of this briefcase. If he had to guess, this is what you were working on the night you made your second first impression on him, or maybe the chapter after that one.
It isn’t working out with your father, so perhaps it will work out better with you?

From The Archive: When It's Over
Pairing: Paige Bueckers/Media Manager! Reader
Warnings: Angst
It was a secret that needed to remain hidden. As the head of the sports marketing team and Paige as the captain of the women's basketball team, you both understood the stakes. If anyone discovered the truth, it would unleash a storm far worse than hellfire on both of you. This shared understanding was why, when Paige knocked on your door last Friday, avoiding eye contact and staring at her feet as she ended things, you weren't surprised. But that didn't mean you were ready for it.
"I don't know where your head's been lately, but I really need you to lock in today, kid," your boss's hands gripped your shoulders firmly. The stern, disappointed expression that would have sent you running home in tears a few years ago had become all too familiar over the past few days.
Professionally, you’d never had a worse week. Your hands shook constantly, making it impossible to take clear pictures, and your tear-filled eyes prevented you from seeing that your photos were blurry until it was too late.
Every click of the shutter felt like a failure, each misstep a confirmation that you were falling apart.
Your boss’s voice softened slightly, though the urgency remained. "Look, I know you're going through something, but we've got a job to do. People are counting on us."
You nodded, trying to muster some composure. "I know. I'll get it together." But even as you said it, doubt gnawed at the edges of your resolve.
She gave you a brief, encouraging squeeze before letting go. "I'm counting on you," she said simply, turning back to the task at hand.
You took a deep breath, willing your hands to steady, your vision to clear. You couldn’t afford to let this week define you. It was time to lock in, just like she said.
The problem was that doing so was rather difficult when what, or rather who, you were trying to focus on was the reason your chest had felt so tight all week.
This was the first official game of the season, and your team had promised at least three news outlets that by the end of the 40 minutes they’d have cover shots for their articles about the game.
Realistically, you knew this meant photos of Paige, but with your newfound inability to even look at her, you wondered if a picture of Johnathan the Husky would suffice.
For a fleeting moment, you seriously considered shifting your focus entirely, filling your memory card with shots of the mascot, relying on whatever your partner shot to fulfill your assignment. But you knew that wasn’t an option. The publications wanted Paige, the world wanted Paige, and your job hinged on delivering her in every frame.
Paige. Her name alone sent a shiver down your spine. You tried to steady your hands, adjusting the settings on your camera, but every time you caught a glimpse of her out of the corner of your eye, your focus slipped. Her confident stride, the way she commanded attention on the court, it was all too much.
You positioned yourself at the half-court line, trying to angle your shots to capture the game without letting your eyes linger on her. The crowd’s roar, the squeak of sneakers on the polished floor, and the rhythmic bounce of the ball blended into a cacophony that should help you drown out your thoughts. Yet, every cheer for the guard felt like a personal attack on your composure.
Through the lens, you saw her in action—swift, agile, unstoppable. It was almost offensive how unaffected her game seemed when your photography had taken such a blow this week.
Each shot she took, each defensive maneuver, you were supposed to capture it all. Instead, you found yourself focusing on anything else: the scoreboard, Geno’s animated gestures, you even caved in and took shots of Johnathan, who was currently entertaining a group of kids sitting in the bleachers.
But you couldn’t avoid it forever, and when Paige makes a particularly impressive play, driving through the defense with a grace that left everyone in awe.
You instinctively snapped a photo, and for a brief moment, you were lost in the brilliance of the shot—a perfect still of her in motion, the intensity in her expression almost palpable. Then reality crashed back in, and you felt the familiar weight pressing down on your chest.
“Get it together,” you whispered to yourself, trying to shake off the unease. But the lump in your throat didn’t budge, and the weight on your chest only grew heavier. Every second wasted felt like a countdown to disaster.
Then, in another sudden burst of speed, Paige broke away from the defense, sprinting down the court. You followed her through the lens, your finger poised on the shutter. She leapt, going for a layup, and you captured the perfect shot just as she scored. The crowd erupted, but your heart pounded for a different reason.
As Paige jogged back to her position, the whistle blew for a timeout. The players dispersed toward the sidelines, and you took the opportunity to review the photos on your camera.
Your hands still trembled slightly, but the last few shots were good—really good. For a moment, a flicker of hope ignited in your chest, sparking dangerously when you heard a voice behind you.
“Hey, did you get a good shot of that layup?”
You turned, startled, and found yourself staring at the other photographer, who was face-to-face with Paige. She was breathing heavily, a sheen of sweat on her forehead, but she was smiling.
The sight of her up close, the intensity of her gaze, even when not on you, was almost too much. You felt your throat tighten.
“Uh, yeah,” you heard the girl say, holding up the camera, casting you a nervous glance. “I think I got it.”
She steps back slightly, allowing Paige to move closer. Paige glances at the screen, her eyes bright with curiosity. “Looks great,” she says, her smile widening.
“Thanks, but we’ll probably use hers though, we both know she’s the real pro,” she said, tilting her chin towards you.
For a moment, it felt like the world narrowed down to just the three of you, standing there in the midst of the bustling gym.
Paige’s response was nonverbal, a mere shrug, as she turned her attention back to the younger girl in front of her, effectively excluding you from the conversation until the sound of the buzzer filled the gym, calling her back to the court.
----
The gym had erupted into chaos as Paige's final three-pointer sailed through the net, securing UConn's victory at the last possible second. The crowd was a roaring sea of cheers and applause, but all of it seemed to fade into a hush when Paige turned towards you, her eyes searching the sidelines for your face.
"Did you get that? Please tell me you got that," she shouted as she sprinted towards you, the excitement vibrating in her voice, her face flushed with the thrill of victory and the sprint. Her hair was a wild cascade, damp with sweat, sticking to her forehead, yet she seemed oblivious to everything but you.
You nodded, your heart pounding not just from the adrenaline of the game but from her intense focus on you. "Oh come on, you know I did!" you called back, flipping through the images on your camera to show her.
She reached you, breathless, her hands on her knees as she caught her breath, then straightened up to peer at the camera’s screen. Her face was inches from yours. As she looked at the images, her smile grew, and she reached out to touch your arm, a light, lingering touch that sent shivers down your spine.
"These are incredible," she whispered, her eyes not just bright with victory but with a warmth that seemed reserved just for you. Paige moved impossibly closer, her proximity sending a flush through you. Then, impulsively, she pulled you into a hug, her body warm against yours, her heart beating fast against your chest.
____
Your arms instinctively wrapped around yourself, a subconscious effort to hold onto the warmth of the memory. Your camera, once a bridge between you two, now hung heavily around your neck.
You stood there, a silent observer, as Paige melded back into her world on the court—a world where once you had shared a special place. Now, you were just another face on the sidelines, capturing moments that no longer felt personal but were merely part of a job.
The weight of the camera was a physical and emotional anchor, pulling you back to reality, reminding you of what your role here was supposed to be, even if your heart lingered somewhere back in a past that seemed both incredibly close and painfully distant.

Louis Tomlinson's 35-hour marathons in Chile: the singer who revived pop fanaticism
Fans crowded at the airport, the hotel, the radio and the stadium; the four stops that the British artist had on his fleeting return to the country last April. On May 24, he returns to perform his fourth solo show after filling the Movistar Arena three times in 2022, and expectations are high. What does the artist have who came to think that he would be nothing without One Direction and today he moves masses? Those who witnessed his last visit decipher it.
By Dove Couple, 16 May 2024
If it weren't for the teenagers of the 60s, -in part- The Beatles would not be the legend they are today. That so-called "uncontrolled fanaticism" resulted in a single word: Beatlemania. The girls were called hysterical, however they were the first people to see the potential of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
FIRST STOP: SANTIAGO AIRPORT
On the night of April 3, the performer stepped on Chile for the third time, the first approach with his fans was at Santiago Airport, who waited anxiously for him after his flash visit was surprisingly confirmed to promote his May 24 show at the La Florida Bicentennial Stadium.
At 32 years old, the Briton already had experience in our territory, he had tried success in 2014, when he came as a member of One Direction with some very young Zayn, Liam, Harry and Niall. The group filled the National Stadium twice.
"Since their last three shows at Movistar Arena in 2022, the girls have been asking when the new tour begins, and the expectation is to see Louis' growth on stage," Rodrigo Ostolaza, Representative in Chile of the BMG label, and in charge of marketing and promotion, told La Cuarta.
Tomlinson greeted kindly those who were waiting for him, but visibly tired, he went straight to the Mandarin Hotel - where there was another group of young people shouting his name - that was his "home" for the about 35 hours he stayed in the country.
SECOND STOP: RADIO LOS40
The next day, he had scheduled a visit to Los40 radio, where he spoke live with the host Martina Orrego and answered the questions asked by the followers who won a contest to meet him. While others crowded on the outskirts of the Iberoamericana building.
"It was something that didn't happen a long time ago, but in a way I expected it, he is an artist who has an important fan, his audience has accompanied him in the development of his career, so I found it very exciting," Orrego confided to us.
The co-director of Los40 and creator of the program Mujeres Que Suenan, said that one of the most entertaining things "was to have the fans on the radio and that they could share more closely with him. It's something that happens so rarely and they were wonderful, they behaved super well."
THIRD STOP: HOTEL MANDARÍN
Back at the hotel, Louis had a press round with various media, including La Cuarta.
"What he provokes is something super unique and special, he is an artist very close to his fans and concerned about his environment, that the person who interviews him or talks to him is comfortable or comfortable," Rafaella Fornazzari, Media Manager of DG Media, in charge of the concert, told us.
The return of the star had the production company until the wee hours of the morning enlisting details. "Louis' visit was a nice challenge, it's been a long time since an international artist in this category came to promote a tour, we had to work together with the entire region where he will be performing with his 'Faith in the Future World Tour'," Rafaella added.
FOURTH STOP: BICENTENARY STADIUM
Indeed, his fleeting passage through South America included Brazil, Chile and Argentina; and in all these countries he visited the venues where he would appear. In which he took advantage of playing football for a while, recalling his past as a Doncaster Rovers footballer. And yes, he took the luxury of scoring a goal.
There he also had a meet and greet with followers, but the fans who were waiting outside the venue did not run with the same luck, they only saw him for a couple of seconds through the van that took him out of the place. Even so, they were happy.
THE SECRET OF SUCCESS
The expectations of the May 24 show are very high. "It comes with a new album and that immediately translates into a different show than those of 2022. In addition, it has the challenge of a larger capacity enclosure," Fornazzari revealed. "He is a very committed artist and involved with his career, he likes to deliver the best," he added.
For his part, Rodrigo Ostolaza hopes: "To see the Bicentennial Stadium full, he brought as a drag what was the One Direction phenomenon and those concerts they did at the National Stadium. It always moved a lot of people, and that lasted over time."
For Ostolaza, what happened in April reminded him of the visit to Chile of the RBD Mexicans, at the peak of his career: "We took them to Mekano and it was also crazy, a little what happened to Louis." Martina Orrego says that the effervescence that was lived can be assimilated to contemporary phenomena such as K-pop.
And the performer, who at some point thought he could not continue without One Direction, today has two successful albums - "Walls" and "Faith in the Future" - countless triumphs and a loyal community that he loves, protects and defends.
Unlike other singers, he does not charge for meet and greet, the events are always competitive, his lyrics go deep but he does not release so many commercial songs - as in his boyband time - that they can easily enter the radios, that's why the challenge of moving the masses is greater; on the other hand, fashion or social networks are not his strength, his thing is the live shows and the charts, where he goes up with his pop rock sound.
So, what is his secret? Beyond talent and charisma, he is a recognized worker, he finished a tour and immediately started another; and above all, he is close, simple and connected with people. Records sharing distly with your followers abound on the Internet.
"The successful boybands after a break have had their members as soloists. The 1Ds were the new generation of the good and beautiful that pop delivered, now Louis is the soloist who remains in contact with his fans," Fornazzari concluded.
Louis Tomlinson will perform at the La Florida Bicentennial Stadium on May 24. The latest tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.cl

Hey hey-! May I request yandere! Sanemi, Rengoku, tengen, and mitsuri (seperatley!!) With a reader whose very jumpy? Like ahh sort of bunny like, very emotional and cries easily, very sweet, ahh and easy to get a good scare on? Thank you sm for your time💗
Oh yes! Definitely can do! Here comes the more cute stuff of Yandere posts
Yandere! Sanemi Shinazugawa
Like with Mitsuri, Sanemi finds you insanely cute. How you have managed to become a Kakushi is beyond him but he feels the absolute need to protect you with his life, you’re so gentle and emotional
Sanemi is still his usual hyper aggressive and violent Yandere self, but he does his best to hide these qualities from you so you’re not afraid of him. You’ll like him more if he seems harmless, right?
He loves giving you back rubs as you lay on his lap. The way your throat basically lets out purrs of pleasure has him rolling down hills. Anything to make you like him more, he’ll do in a heartbeat
Sanemi apologises furiously when he accidentally scares you into hiding. Yandere Sanemi is very scary with his obsession and he just hates himself when he looks into your glassy eyes as you hide in the backyard tree. He shouldn’t be scaring his future wife
Just the way you bond with all of his fellow Hashira. He is a mixture of furiously jealous and absolutely in love. You’re so beautiful and precious with how sweet you are, but he doesn’t want you sharing that with anybody else. Though, he tolerates it to make you love him
He may be quite obsessive and invasive, but he is always around to pick you up when you fall and wipe away your tears when you cry
“Bunny! Do you wanna go play outside? Yes, you wanna go play? Let’s go play skipping rope together! I found this rope, I know you’ll enjoy a bit of skipping rope”
Yandere! Rengoku Kyojuro
What is this adorable-adorable human in front of him? He simply loves it. Kyojuro can’t help but view you as a actual bunny, with the way you hop around and sniff the air. His heart turns into ash each and every time
Your life is now in the Flame Hashira’s hands. He will protect you like you’re his beating heart, you’re happiness and safety is his priority so he’ll put you over every innocent out there. You’re his love, nobody can lay their filthy hands on you
Kyojuro is very passive-aggressive towards everybody… behind your back. Any new friends or the simple fleet market owner is treated politely by Kyojuro for your sake but when you’re gone, he is threatening those people like there is no tomorrow
I mean he. Most of his Yandere qualities are already hidden, thanks to his split face but the need to hide himself is doubled. You’re emotionally weak and can shatter easily. He won’t let you know that he watches you every night and beats people up for you
Kyojuro wants all the other Hashira gone, away from you so he’ll gladly make up lies and rumours about them to make you afraid of them. That way, you’ll only talk to him during Hashira gatherings, exactly what he wants
He isn’t the best out there but he isn’t the worse. He refuses to harm you, he won’t let the darkness of his head bleed out. It’s the best way to get you to love him back
“B-bunny? What’s the problem? Oh. Iguro-san was mean to you? Cmere, give me a warm big hug! I’m sorry about him. I promise that won’t happen again, little egg. I’ll talk to Iguro, okay?”
Yandere! Uzui Tengen
He didn’t even think this behaviour was physically possible? You’re a human that mimics a precious little bunny so well, he already begun calling you “his bunny” and he just met you
Yandere! Tengen is quite tame, in comparison to these others, he doesn’t kill as to avoid losing his wives and he won’t kidnap, as to avoid losing his wives. He is just possessive and all-up-in-your-face
He wants all of your time so he’ll bring you to his Estate to meet his wives. If you like his wives, you’ll feel more obligated to like him. You get lots of pats and love from Hinatsuru, Makio and Suma. They adore you… though, not like how Tengen does
Tengen follows you to each cleanup session you do in secret. Just to make sure no demon can hurt you. You can barely lift up a sword you’re so soft and gentle that you’re constantly in danger for your passion to help others
He picks up up and cradles in you bridal style when you’re crying, he is good at handling high emotions as he sits down and holds you, you calm down in a instant. He acts concerned on the outside but on the inside, he is exploding in euphoria
Romantic is Tengen’s middle name, he sends you bundles of beautiful flowers and luxurious gifts, alongside a engagement ring. He won’t ask you, he’ll trick you into wearing it
“I know, bunny! We should get you a little playfield! So you can run around and have fun in our backyard! Doesn’t that sound great? Or would you prefer we have some of your favourite Onigiri? Hm?”
Yandere! Kanroji Mitsuri
She finds you so adorable. You’re practically a bunny, hopping away and hiding under a table as she tries her best to court you out with apologies. She didn’t mean to scare you when she squealed in admiration at your cute face
She holds you in her lap a lot, petting your hair as you nuzzle into her neck, she imagines you with bunny ears and she can’t help but feel her heart explode
Mitsuri’s overprotectiveness is through the roof, just like with the other Hashira. You’re very easily scared and just one measly prank scare makes you cry. The moment you cry, Mitsuri rushes in with her katana basically floating, she won’t tolerate anybody hurting her little cottontail
Like every Yandere Hashira here, she tries her best to hide her rotting qualities. You’re so fragile that you’ll hate her if she reveals what she does behind your back in desperate needs to keep you. She’ll make it out as if her mind isn’t plagued with thoughts of marrying you
Mitsuri is emotional, like you. So if you’re crying, Mitsuri is desperately holding back tears and she is clingy, especially of a soft figure like you. She can’t stand anybody playing with your feelings so she’ll sneakily hide you away and press herself against you
You’ll be safer with a strong, skilled Hashira like herself always around. No matter what, she’ll be with you
“A-ah! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you! Hey… look, I have some mochi. Would you like the mochi? Yeah? You would? Come here, bunny, come here!”
Not kidding! Can’t find anymore good pics/icons/etc that fit properly! So, I’m sorry for these ones but they are all I got!

Asking because I don’t know how to tag properly/don’t have enough tlt brainrot followers on my own blog: I had this revelation that New Rho Could be short for “New Rhodesia” which would say a LOT about the original colonists of the planet (the trillionaires(?))
ooh this is juicy! For context: "Rhodesia" was the name given to Zimbabwe and Zambia by the British, after Cecil Rhodes (you may know him from the Rhodes scholarship. also the imperialism)
I started replying to this and it went horribly long so I'm gonna put it under a cut. My tldr is that I don't think it's a direct reference, both because of naming patterns in TLT and because I don't think the trillionaires who escaped earth would be referencing Cecil Rhodes on purpose, but I also don't think it's a wild leap to make.
I'm throwing this in the tags and I'm 👀 to know what people think.
On the name
I always assumed that New Rho was a reference to the greek word / letter Rho (ρ). This would fit both the naming patterns of the Houses (which are partly inspired by classical mythology) AND what little we see of the naming patterns of BoE, who apparently like to name places after ancient or mythological locations on Earth — see also: Lemuria, Ctesiphon wing, Troia cell.
Note that we actually don't know for sure whether "New Rho" is the name given to the planet by the locals or by the Houses — the only person who actually uses that name is Ianthe during her speech, so it may very well be the case that the Empire renamed New Rho unilaterally, and the name doesn't reflect what its actual inhabitants call it. I don't believe that's the case (because, again, it fits with other naming patterns BoE seem to have + to a lesser extent, I think there would have been hints in the text if that had been the case, extra jeerings from the crowd or whatever if they felt strongly that their planet had another name) I'm just bringing this up here for completion's sake.
About the trillionaires:
I've given a lot of thought to the demographic of the TLT fleet. Although IDK how widespread of an opinion this is in the fandom but, personally, I feel pretty strongly that the bunch of ultra-rich people who would have fleed Earth leaving everyone to die would NOT have been the kind of demographic keen to reference British colonialism.
Like, I think it's important to note that the "first wave" of ships that launched from Earth didn't seem to include ANY major politician from a Western country that we know of — they managed until the last moment to keep up the pretence that it was "just" the first of many trips, and to me the lack of panic points to the fact that many public figures weren't on board. The world leader John puppeteers is heavily implied to be the US president, and even he wouldn't have been on board. John's flashback arc pits him very strongly against the global north, but more than that — imo, it's telling that the only sympathetic governments he could get to listen to him were the NZ government and parts of Oceania. It wasn't just John vs. the West, or John vs. OECD countries. It was John vs. the uber-wealthy, and those exist all over the world.
What I'm getting at is: that the trillionaires weren't overwhelmingly white. Many of them would have been USamerican or British or European, but so many people on board those ships would have been Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, Russian, Thai etc. I'm thinking about 2024 data on List of countries by share of income of the richest one percent and List of cities by # of billionaires (keeping in mind also that in the NtN flashback arc, the stock market has crashed and the economy is in shambles. I would also assume that many Silicon Valley / tech fortunes have dramatically shrunk, and most "trillionaires" would be people who materially control access to resources.)
Basically what I'm getting at is that, TO ME, the TFL fleet was an escape pod put together by a group of people who had the means to decide they should save themselves and fuck everyone else, rather than a colonising project, and that most of them wouldn't be in a rush to identify themselves with the British empire. Many of them, maybe even a majority, wouldn't be white. They're the scifi equivalent of French noblemen fleeing the revolution. Uber-privileged people who became refugees.
Anyway. This is a book.
Everything I've written above explains why, TO ME, whoever on those ships made it out alive + successfully colonised a plane wouldn't be thinking about the British Empire in an especially positive light. However! TLT as a story doesn't exist in a vacuum, and Taz Muir (who exists in the world, and lives in Oxford) would 100% know who Cecil Rhodes is. I can absolutely believe that she settled on a Greek-mythology-inspired naming pattern and then, out of all the available options, decided to reference the colonialist whose statue got removed while she was writing the book.
