this is an old throw up of words since i cannot for the love of god write fischl but,, headcanon where bennett is one of the few people who actually understands fischl :) (this can be read as either romantic or platonic!)

“Fischl!” Bennett waved to the girl, who immediately turned around to greet the other.

Bennett ran up to Fischl but ended up falling flat on his face, a loud ‘splat’ emphasising the impact. Fischl could only stand in shock before helping the other up, sighing in relief.

“Ah, if it isn’t my ill-starred companion,” Fischl answered, “thou must be vigilant, I have the burden of my Auge der Verurteilung to see that the world has forsaken you, and will continue to do so.”

Bennett pouted. “I know, I know… I was just so excited to see you that I couldn’t help it!”

Bennett replicated an excited puppy and Fischl couldn’t help but soften her gaze at the unfortunate boy. Bennett, surprisingly, was one of the very few people who understood Fischl when she spoke. He also let her express herself whenever she wanted, and gave her the same energy in return. Bennett treated her like normal and Fischl appreciated that.

“When I bring the lightning of retribution upon this world, you shall come to no harm,” Fischl reassured, “for thou art blessed by the Prinzessin.”

“She means that—“

“Silence, Oz.”

“It’s okay, Oz. I understand! But, really?” Bennett was excited. “What if my bad luck gets to you, though?”

“Remember thou this, that I, Fischl, am the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, Sovereign of Immernachtreich.” Fischl wiped some dust off of Bennett’s clothes. “With my left eye, the Auge der Verurteilung, which sees the threads of fate, I will surely keep you from harm.”

Bennett smiled brightly. “This is why you’re my bestest friend ever, Fischl! Thank you, you’re the coolest princess ever!”

Fischl blushed and swatted Bennett away, obviously very flustered.

And when the boy wasn’t looking, she mumbled a quiet, “No, thank *you*.“

Bennett is notorious for his bad luck, so he's never put much stock into finding love. However, not only has he suddenly fallen for someone - he's fallen for three people. Now what is he supposed to do?

Sparks and Flames (Preview)

'Where am I?'

Bennett looked around him to discover he was aimlessly walking in a field, where the grass looked like grass, but it was all bit less vibrant. Still green but mixed in with a grayish texture. As much as his mind told him something wasn't right, he carried onwards. Sensing something was terribly wrong, his hand was gripping the hilt of his sword, not wavering to lose grasp of it even when he could feel his palm getting sweatier by the minute.

The sky was murky. Mixed in with the fog to where he couldn't visibly see a thing, as if there would be an incoming storm any moment. But he saw no raindrops nor felt any meet him. Still, Bennett still felt like there would be a storm today, just not in the sky.

Then it hit him, he heard an ear-piercing scream right behind him. He turned around in a panic, unsheathing his sword preparing for a Hillichurl to ambush him. All he saw were three people in front of him. How did they get there? He didn't know. Who were they? They looked familiar enough for him to guess their names, but he didn't want to even think on who they could be. All he could see was one of them was badly injured on the ground, with one trying desperately to keep them alive. He saw a dark red liquid stain the grayish grass, and when he got close to the figures, one of them took notice of him and pushed him away. The stare they gave was one Bennett couldn't comprehend. The obvious answer would be of one you'd give to someone you had a deep hatred towards.

"Stay away! You've already done enough Bennett!"

'W-What? What do you mean, I didn't do anything!'

"He's not breathing, what did you do?!"

'Who's not breathing?! What DID I do?!'

"No...no, no, NO! WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE?!"

'Huh?'

"Why...WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE-"

One of the figures lunges at Bennett, knocking him down and holding him in place. The other with blood of the one gravely staining their hands as he gripped the sword Bennett lost grip a grip on. He held it high above Bennett's head before plunging it down towards the scared shitless Bennett.

"AAAAAAAAAAH!"

'Deep breaths Benny boy. It's just a dream...just a dream.'

"That. That dream happened again, huh?"

Bennett looked around in the darkness of his room and only saw the peering moonlight seeping into it from the window. It was possibly midnight by now, and as much as Bennett's body felt like going back to bed...Bennett didn't want to relive THAT again. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and sat up, planting his feet on the floor. He didn't know what else to do anyways. Ignore it? He's tried in the past, but he still thinks about it. Get some help? No, then people will think he lost it. He could try to just...go out for a walk. But then he...he doesn't know what will happen if he did.

Bennett's mind was racing and making his head hurt from the constant thoughts and even if he couldn't hear all too well because of it, he still heard the rushed footsteps of something coming down the hall before his bedroom door was opened in a hurry, with a girl bursting into his room, gripping her bow in hand as she scanned the room for any potential threat.

"BENNET! I heard you screaming, are you okay?!" Fischl looked frantically around the room until she saw him sitting up from his bed, looking as if he just had his life sucked out. "Uhm...are you okay?"

Bennett just shook his head at her, looking down at the floor. Fischl placed her bow away and joined besides Bennett, sitting down next to him.

"Mien Freund, your emotions are saying a different story. Please, tell me what's wrong."

Bennett continued to look at the ground, ashamed to be seen like this. But, he reluctantly agreed to speak on it.

"Just a bad dream that's been, bothering me." Bennett said, lifting his head up abit but not looking at Fischl. "I'll get over it by morning, I promise."

Bennett couldn't see the expression Fischl could make, but he could feel her gaze stare at him as if trying to deduct any form of a lie in his words. But she just nodded to herself and hopped off the bed, walking over to the door. 

"If this 'dream' ceases to give you peace, you know I'm here for you." Fischl shared her words of concerns towards Bennett before leaking the room. 

Bennett sighed and laid back in bed, hoping to doze back to sleep without having to experience such that experience again. Just had to steer his mind towards some good thoughts, happy thoughts. Thoughts that made him feel, like himself. Like he was meant to be here. Like people, wanted him to be here.

"Hmm, Fischl and I...adventuring. What a great day that was, heh."

specifically the fact that furina gave up any chance of a normal life, and pulled through for 500 years faking being an archon so that focalors could fool celestia. she'd think that she was even a bit resentful towards everyone but no. Furina is only mad at herself. So she can't help but see her as an angel whose wings were torn.

So I need to go on a rant about my ships (Rannefischelle edition) (That's Razor x Bennett x Fischl x Noelle)

I PHYSICALLY NEED THEM TO INTERACT IN GAME.

Which is mostly on Noelle's end with the rest and then Fischl and Razor (I can't remember if they have voicelines about each other) BUT I JUST THINK BENNETT SHOULD UNITE THEM.

Well so the first thing you need to know getting started in Rannefischelle or any Noelle ships inside it: Bennett has invited Noelle to join the Adventurer's Guild MANY TIMES

And it's not that she doesn't like the idea. It's just that being a maid for the knights and trying to become one is everything she's ever known for a while now. And she's not gonna become one any time soon because Jean knows she doesn't have what it takes *mentally*. But there's a HUGE miscommunication where Jean just DOESN'T TELL HER THAT SO SHE CAN SOMEHOW IMPROVE.

So I just firmly believe that sooner or later Noelle is just gonna. Very likely end up collapsing and giving up on becoming a knight after realizing she's done everything and more for most of them and barely gotten any recognition out of it.

So in my utopia she joins the Adventurer's Guild. And I think she would have an AWESOME time with those three.

And I also think Noelle would be the perfect addition to Fischl's little roleplay. (Yeah, eventually the other three know she isn't actually princess Fischl, and Fischl herself doesn't feel the need to dive into that fantasy daydream of hers to escape reality, but they keep doing it between them because it just feels fun and light)

Anyways back to the main point: Noelle would be amazing for Benny's Adventure Team. Even if you don't wanna look at it romantically. She would be an amazing help for him, even if she isn't immune to his bad luck, she's determined enough to find her way around it.

My favorite thing to think about is the four of them having a "camp date" together. They tell Bennett to just sit down while the other do stuff, to assure everyone will be safe, and 100% Noelle is the one doing the cooking. Which takes me to: Them sharing specialty dishes with each other and they would all love it.

(I also just found out Razor doesn't like vegetables and Noelle's favorite dish is satisfying salad, and Fischl (and Oz) don't like Sweet Madame and Bennett is a pro at it... Poor them.)

For Bennett there's not much trouble since he's also a pro at other meat dishes so no problems there, but I do think they should get Razor to try vegetables. Maybe if they season it well enough? Eating any grass in the wild just like that surely isn't very good)

Anyways my ramble is over (for now), I just wanted to get this out because I have to cook my own food over here
