One of the proudest moments of my life was when I walked into my job over 3 years ago, rose my right hand, and took the oath of office. I can’t speak for every single federal employee but I will say that I took my job because I wanted to serve the American people. I’m not loyal to any president, I’m loyal to the constitution.

I’m going to continue to be loyal to the constitution because the oath every federal employee takes upon entering service is to support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. You honestly won’t see a bigger group of actual patriots who give a shit about their country than the federal bureaucrats who keep shit like the IRS, NOAA/NWS, FAA, FDA, VA, etc. running.

Most obnoxious thing people do at the photo studio is try to take photos of the computer screen while I'm showing them to make the sale. Sometimes I'll let them get away with like two or three before I mentioned I'm not allowed to let them do that but only if they're nice to me

two of my friends TA for a CS course and just caught two students, both of whom are poli sci majors, using chatGPT to write their (extremely basic-level) code... today we all learned that the college's poli sci department allows people to use chatGPT for their work so long as they cite it !
