Okay, my impressions of the vengeance saga in my first listen. (I haven't seen the visuals yet, have that in mind)

Sorry in advance, I really didn't slept last night and english isn't my first language so forgive my grammar

Love in Paradise

I mean, I'm obsessed with this song for almost a year now so I don't have much to say about it, you can really feel the improves in terms of production when put next to the demo. The vocals of Wangui are incredibly! is crazy cause she makes me love her calypso, even though I should not hahah.

Dangerous

Another one that is a complete bop, immediately puts you in a good mood.

But I really feel the transition a little off yk? the intro with odysseus helped, but I felt like everything went much faster not only in terms of ritm but in storytelling, like we see odysseus dessesperado [*desperate] trying to scape the island and this woman that he doesn't know and is obsessed with him, to see him in desolation lost of himself, and here he are saying that he loves her (we haven't seen one good interaction between the two), and then this god appears with the key to he go home. It's seven years in three songs. Idk. This opinion may change when I mature the album.

(Edit: I would say that he sounds anesthetized but realized that probably the intention)

Charybdis

AGAIN with the transition, this one feels so very abrupt, put me really off for a moment. But okay. It's ironic cause I think this works like and bridge between the two sets of the saga, is more about odysseus assuming his mission than the fight. Not my favorite, but works well.

This one did not disappoint. THE VOCALS!! Steve!! The vocals!! And the production!! You can FEEL the rage, you can FEEL the years of mutual hate, and the way it grows with the song, odysseus washing himself of the composture... you should see my face once I realized what happened.

Six hundred strike

THIS, THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, the transition is flawless you can't really say where one song ends and the other begins, this last three songs forms an amazing sequence.

It summarizes everything this saga it's supposed to be about. Jay what an narrative genius you are.

The rage, the pain, the hate, the guilt, resentment and finally the release. All of this you can read in the vocals, I dare to say is one of his bests performances. Steven is not less.
