Skadi’s Winter
Wintery drawing of Skadi after she married Odin , and before Fimbulvetr begins
#norse mythology#norse myth#skadi#goddess of the hunt#norse goddess#art#digital art#winter#fimbulvetr#myth retelling (slightly)#Skadi still has her huntress outfit btw but I decided to give her more of a queenly type outfit for this piece#I do plan on drawing her and Odin's “many sons” too either sometime soon or in the near future

From what you said before and by how Atreus and Wukong act to Týr, does that mean they know he is fake Tyr and just Odin in disguise?
GOWR spoilers below
oh yeah, Wukong sees through him right away. no glamour or disguise can hide from his gaze, and that includes Tyr. couple that with how Loki behaves around him, and it's pretty easy math for the old monkey!

About Hel.
1- Is Wukong in a way her Godfather?
2-besides him, does she have other uncles and aunts from the pantheons she visited?
3-Has Calliope meet her, if so, what is her relathionship with hel?
4-How did Hel fight off Kratos during helhein?
Wukong is her uncle, that's for sure xD i'm not 100% sure if chinese folk religion had smth like godparents, but as far as family goes, sworn brotherhood are seen as legit as actual blood relations. so if anything happened to Loki and Angrboda, Wukong would absolutely be one of the first to step in!
technically yes, but not entirely. i'm not versed enough in other cultures to know the details of it, but Hel has a few deities who she might consider uncles and aunts and cousins by bond.
Calliope has absolutely met her and cried like a baby when she held little toddler Hel in her arms TvT Calliope has no interest in children, she's got enough on her plate as it is and it's not in her fate, but she loves Hel with all she has. she'd kill for this little girl.
Hel, despite being a teen at the time GOWR happens, is incredibly powerful and she has been given control over the entirre domain by Odin. she can summon the entire might of Helheim's winds, spirits and curses upon any who tries her patience, and she's not afraid to do so if needed. Kratos is a strong guy, but i doubt he wants to face off with that kind of might if it can be avoided, and Hel definitely doesn't want to fight her own grandpa.

|| lyric starter call - Ulvetime (Hour of the Wolf) by Songleikr
Warmth between them pulses through her like a wildfire amid a harsh winter’s scourge. ”Jeg kan ikke sove, jeg kan kun I natten våke... Over mine år,” she murmurs to @northernxstories, nearly too quiet to perceive. The furs that bed them are less a comfort than he is, the one to tame the wild wolf, Vega shifts so she’s on his chest, propping her head on her arm. The light likens her to a sly, crafty thing, with a smile that begets the darker parts of her. “I cannot find peace, my Bjorn, in my wolf-hour. Anywhere. I am restless.”
#northernxmuses#translations b/c i couldn't get hovertext to work:#'i cannot sleep; i can only in the night wake through my years'#also this is for bjorn because of well their history lol <3#v; se på ditt hav se på ditt hav det förstår; hur du mår hur du mår det består#v: fimbulvetr

Out of all the gods from the other lands, who did Wukong and Loki hated the most, like second to Odin who is in the first place of hated gods.
mmmm that's a complicated question shdbwhbdhd i'll answer but i need to put down a few caveats first
as deities, both Loki and Wukong don't have such strong emotions towards their fellow gods, mostly because when you live for so long, it's quite difficult to lock yourself into such a disparaging relationship. arguably Loki's own hatred for Odin came from the man's inability to change, and to walk all over any and everyone to get to his own goals.
deities with that kind of single-minded callous attitude are rare, and in fact very much GOW's own characterization of Odin. some scholars even postulate that Loki was a title not a name, and was even an aspect of Odin himself, as they share many traits in their attestations!
speaking for myself, i don't believe it is my place to point at any one deity from pantheons throughout the world and decide to put such characterization onto them. if i'm being honest, i'm not a personal fan of GOW characterizing Odin (and even Heimdall, for that matter) into such an unredeemable bastard, as i feel it kind of diminishes him as a deity, and painting "pantheon head" deities like Odin and Zeus is a common trope nowadays and i think writers could do better. smells of christian frustration projection to me.
and to further specify, Wukong as a figure from east asian folklore and pantheon, is tied to the concepts of reincarnation and loss and gain of merit. Deities may fall as demons as punishment, to then regain their status once the punishment is over, mortal beings may ascend as immortals and sages, etc. One's place in the pantheon is a fluid one rather than tied exclusively by birthright like in many western pantheons. Also, deities are expected not to fall trap of mortal emotions, given how those are subject to cause immense trouble. And Loki, well, he can't really afford to hold grudges given his very difficult position as an unlanded god and a aberration of time travel.
all this to say, Odin is in a veeery special place because he not only made Loki's and his family's life miserable, all the damage and hurt he caused festered in Loki because of his deep empathy, creating Fenris as a creature of vengence incarnate. however, if anyone came close to earning a badge of hatred from either of them, it would have to be Zeus and Athena. Athena for orchestrating Kratos' fall and manipulating him, and Zeus.... well, GOW Zeus isn't the most sympathetic guy out here. And Loki's foray in Greece when he first landed left quite a sour note on him. to say they didn't get along is, an understatement.
