Caroline Forbes est la fille du shérif Elizabeth Forbes. A la tête des pom-pom-girls, elle vivait une vie plutôt tranquille, entourée de ses deux meilleures amies Elena et Bonnie. Elle eut d'abord du mal à résister à l'appétence du sang mais, grâce à l'aide de ses amis et surtout de Stefan, elle est devenue un vampire avec une forte capacité de maîtrise. Cette transformation lui a également permis d'évoluer et d'acquérir une grande maturité.

Ongoing Series - Thai

My Stand-In (Thai Fri iQIYI) ep 2 of 12 eps - I love love love Sol! Pink-haired baby idol blast from the past nursing a crush = absolute catnip for me. This is def my favorite Thai BL currently airing. And it’s probably because it has a sort of odd queer authenticity to both its gayness and its rep of the film industry. I mean, of course it’s sanitized into BL fantasy-landia, but there’s an underpinning of something real, for lack of a better word. Normally I prefer the fantasy of my dumb BL worldview, but in this one I’m kind of liking a little chew and grit.

All of which is to say: this is very fucked up messy gay, which normally I’m not wild about, but for some reason I’m really enjoying this version.

On the other side of the BL coin we have:

Wandee Godday (Sat YT) ep 1 of 12 - And I like it a lot. It’s fun and I’m enjoying it (possibly more than it deserves). I like how it’s a little absurdist. I like that it starts with a one night stand. I like all of the side characters. I love the asexual representation. Bonus LUBE! It’s a fun show. More FUN that GMMTV usually goes for.  

Two Worlds (Thurs iQIYI) ep 8 of 10 - The sketching in the cave scene was v sexy. And I’m enjoying this BL, but not for any other reason than MaxNat being MaxNatty all over my screen. 

1000 Years Old (Thurs iQIYI) ep 12fin - I don’t know what I feel about this one. Mostly just indifferent. It was meant to be the paranormal Thai BL pulp about vampires that we were all waiting for, and it ended up just being boring. Frankly, I'd rather be pissed off than bored. 6/10

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 4 of 12 - I truly love the naked lust on our side couple's pining friend's face. Usually only Japan get this thirsty.

Book is perfectly cast as Moo's older bro. They even look a bit alike but it might have been a mistake, because he’s so damn charismatic. Stole all the breath from the show for a bit. 

We Are (Weds iQIYI) ep 5 of 16 - No report until next week.

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 4 of 10 - They are so cute and pretty much just boyfriends already regardless of what they each think. I'm scared that next week is the final episode, it doesn’t feel like it’s gone very far.

At 25:00 in Akasaka AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 3 of 10 - I liked it a little better this week. I guess I’m warming up to this one?

Boys Be Brave AKA Roommates (Korea Thurs Viki) ep 3-4 of 8 - Ah poor lonely neglected child. They are all such weirdos. I don’t understand any of these characters or their motivations except they are strange kind of cartoons of... something.

Love is like a Cat (Korea Mon Viki) eps 9-10 of 12 - The guy who plays the vet should be playing a vampire. That's it. That's all I have to say. 

It's airing but...

Lady Boy Friends (Thai WeTV grey) 16 eps - reminds me a bit too much of Diary of Tootsies only high school. Not my thing. DNF unless it turns a corner and is truly amazing.

Memory in the Letter (Thai WeTV) - 6 eps, when it's done, tell me if I should bother?

You Made My Day (Thai YT) ep 1 of 5 - supposed to have started on Friday but I couldn't find it, I also didn't try very hard.

Tonight is the penultimate episode of series two of AMC+'s INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE.

Well, this isn't ominous at all.

Impressed that months later content from the S2 premiere is still being rolled out.

ALL THE SPOILERS FOR Episode 14 / S2E07

It's fine. It's all fine.

If you've read the books (not me) or have seen the movie (me) or just possess the ability to read between the lines, then you knew this day was coming: The death of Claudia de Pointe du Lac de Lioncourt and her companion Madeleine.

Finally, someone chose Claudia.

They actually made a playbill. The nastiest of nasty work.

There is still a lot to be open to interpretation in regards to motivations and the truthiness of various accounts. Maybe we will get answers in the next episode (how much of a willing participant was Lestat in these deliberations? How accurate was Louis' new recollection of begging Lestat to turn Claudia despite Lestat's warnings?) and maybe we won't (at any time have we seen the real Lestat?)

What I do know is that this cast acts their collective bums off.

What I also know?

They will never make me hate you, maître. You've done nothing wrong, ever.

Even though you leveled your coven with one word, I am sure you could not stop them from putting your lover, his sister-daughter and her companion on trial and subsequent execution.

He was helpless to do anything, you just don't understand!!

Armand was able to control everyone's speech and compel them to say "banishment" and just heaves a sigh of relief for the trouble. Meanwhile, Lestat was wan and bleeding from one ear after mind controlling a room of soldiers.

I still stand by you, Armand. I'm just saying...

-I am inclined to believe Lestat's deviations. You can tell what are Sam's words and what aren't by how Santiago responds and also just how true to form they seem from a character standpoint. I could be very wrong, but I can believe Louis threatened to cut Lestat's head off.

This is Louis who threatened his brother with a knife (which turned Lestat's eye to him in the first place). This is a man who lobbed a veiled threat at Grace during their mother's funeral (and you know it's true because that was from Claudia's diary). Louis was furious in that moment so why would he be expected to hold his tongue and not scrap? As he told Lestat, "You start it, you finish it."

Louis castigated Lestat for choking their daughter. I'm not going to remind him what he did to her when she begged him to let her burn Lestat.

So many people last season were raging because their "Brat Prince" was depicted as a domestic abuser and were sure this season would absolve him. But while we get a fuller picture of the fight, Lestat still did what he did. To me it just adds more clarity on why he stayed away for so long.

The biggest question for me this episode was how long did they workshop Lestat's side? Did the coven plunder his mind or did Lestat readily give them information (they knew about the words "come to me", the killing of the priests, the church kiss, Louis' depression and the house being a shambles. We even see on the projection the raccoon that was roaming their house)?

No matter how they found out the Louis/Lestat details, Lestat is not fully a willing participant in my mind. This man was over it from the jump.

Also, he's stubbled and one thing Lestat de Lioncourt is going to do is be well groomed so those theatre nerds have had him locked away until showtime.

They summoned Lestat while he was drinking his chickory coffee and eating beignets. Classless.

Dreamstat in Dubai feels so wrong.

Madeleine’s turning was beautiful. And her seeing Claudia like that… made me cry. It was so fitting that they both turned her. Madeleine’s life, flashing by. Lovely.

And god, Louis… reopening the wound. Trying to let the blood bleed out. Hating himself not caring sooooooo much. And that little tidbit re the bond, the fact that there is a feeling for each other there, even if there is no coercion. FORESHADOWING OH GOD

And Armand … pretending he had chosen Louis. God. Fucking shit.

I do believe that Louis might have asked initially for his memories to be erased. I’ve theorized that before and I can see it, because Louis would feel guilty and he would hurting… badly.

Also… Armand saying the “series of abhorrent consequences that followed”… and then “three days after we abandoned him”… there is no saying what timeframe was between the interview and that… shower outs came out of.😏

Some goth teenager in 2014 watches an obscure rediscovered French silent film from 1923. It's quite strange and the plot's a little incomprehensible, so they hop on Reddit to find some people to analyze the film with. The thread goes back and forth on opinions for a few days before fizzling out.

A year later, an art historian ressurects the thread to give a rundown of the vague and mysterious history of the Théâtre des Vampire, saying the film seems to reference the style and themes of the theatre's plays.

And of course this blows the fuck up because what do you mean there was a vampire themed theatre? What do you mean they made fucked up avant-garde plays? What do you mean they were active for 200 years?! What do you mean ALL of their work was lost to time because of a tragic fire?!?!!

It becomes a little game to dig up what could potentially be references to their plays in other art. Assertions that the TdV is the mother of campy horror abound. Most of people's claims and interpretations are entirely wrong. It doesn't matter - TdV is now a vital cultural touchstone for the goth revival, despite nobody having any concrete idea of what the theatre actually did.

The interest and excitement mostly fades away by 2018, especially after a few well written and thoroughly researched video essays debunk the myths surrounding the theatre.

Then 2023 rolls around. Two time Pullitzer prize winning journalist Daniel Molloy publishes a book he swears is an actual, honest-to-god interview with a real vampire. He himself seems to be low key cosplaying a vampire on the publicity circuit for the book.

He shouts out the Théâtre des Vampires in the book, providing clearer descriptions of the content of the plays and public response to them. He provides better sources on the theatre than anybody's ever dug up before. Like his website's got scans of diary entries from somebody who attended the first play they ever did - it's insane!

The long dead r/theatredesvampires blows up. Daniel Molloy is doing the bit! The whole book is just him educating the masses about a lost piece of art history that fascinated him!

There's one "okay, have we considered vampires might actually be real?" thread that gains traction for a few weeks. The topic gets banned by the mods because of too many weirdos infiltrating the subreddit, taking the focus away from the theatre's work and its influence on art.

Then a band called The Vampire Lestat blows up. The lead singer is legally named after the founder of the Théâtre des Vampires. He's cosplaying 24/7 as a vampire. He's a character in Daniel's book. He's "correcting" statements made about him in said book on national television while sounding like a bitter ex. He's releasing music videos depicting Armand and the theatre.

So of course Lestat is eventually asked about the Théâtre des Vampires and how heavy its influence seems to be on his work. Which makes Lestat lose his actual shit because the theatre was trash - vapid, mindless entertainment to sedate the cattle. Nothing like his own work.

Cue dozens of modern TdV fans trashing Lestat for not letting the bit go for just a second to just admit that they inspired his entire body of work.

Spelldon and Friends

My first post focused on Spelldon and breaking down his outfit pieces. This one will focus on him and some other Monster High dolls….including a vampire….more under the cut because I took a lot of photos!!

From Valentine’s Diary: July 2nd

“While attempting to hide in the shadows, I bumped into a student I didn't recognize. He said his name was Spelldon Cauldronello. He had only been at MH a couple of weeks as he had been traveling with his older sister. Meeting him totally made me space out and forget to send a text that was supposed to help Clawd. He asked if I went to MH, and I said I was just visiting, but I would love to go to MH if I can. He said he'd keep me up on the groanings on around school if I wanted, so I gave him my number.”

I kept seeing fanart of Spelldon dropping a book and Valentine and Spelldon reaching for it at the same time that I thought it had happened in the diaries too, and decided to quickly pose them like that. Valentine is completely and instantly love struck with Spelldon. Spelldon is lightly curious at this dapper looking southern-drawling vampire.

It didn’t take them long to start trying to hold hands. It was a bit tricky, but they managed. They have started to flirt incessantly.

They seemed to like dancing (Valentine has had many dances over the centuries with “young fillies” he had tried to steal love from, but this felt so much different. Spelldon hasn’t danced many slow dances, but meeting Valentine has made him want to start learning).

Still working on hand holding….

Valentine is pretty stealthy (like most vampires), and has surprised Spelldon quite a few times when sneaking in for a surprise kiss on the cheek. Spelldon lightheartedly threatens to give Valentine a potion that make his footsteps as loud as a giant’s.

Spelldon might have used an invisibility potion to finally manage to sneak up on Valentine and surprise him with a kiss on a cheek. Valentine tells Spelldon he doesn’t need to try and surprise him, he would gladly take a kiss from him anytime.

“Who is this?!” Spelldon looks up and Valentine thinks he remembers hearing that voice from the radio…..

Casta has entered the chat.

Casta is still getting used to her younger brother dating an emotion-feeding vampire (especially someone who was as notorious as Valentine -she might be a famous singer, but she knows a fiend who knows a fiend who knows a vampire who has had a run-in with Valentine). But she’s proud to see her little brother thriving at Monster High She trusts Spelldon, and is happy to see Spelldon’s boyfriend tagging along and helping Spelldon gather and shop for potion supplies, and enjoy being a teenager (instead of always being on the road).

Valentine is still a bit nervous around Casta and all of her star-power (she may have threatened to turn him into a piglet if he hurts her brother. Spelldon said she was kidding and it’s a family joke).

I had forgotten that I had added some detail to my SDCC Valentine to try and make him closer to his film appearance. I had cut his hair (although he need to be dipped in some LA’s Totally Awesome as his hair is very gluey), add some paint to his earrings, glasses (and make them sunglasses with a paint wash) and shoes (I made the buckle into broken hearts and made the broken heart jacket buttons). I also added some extra gold and green embroidery to his lapel and cuff and some extra ribbon around his collar too.

Spelldon and his big sister Casta Fierce. I didn’t realize how much darker green she is until I got her out of storage (I had also painted her nails and boots too when I first got her). She also needs to be de-glued in some LA’s Totally Awesome. They look so good together, eeeeee!!!

Spelldon and Casta practicing their witchcraft while she is in town. They are not the best at fortune telling, but their mama would be proud they’re keeping up with their studies. Casta is the best at reciting magical incantations, while Spelldon is happy to be adding the ingredients. “The whole bottle should do it….I’m pretty sure.”

“This one has an invisible gas inside. And this one is a part of a rare ‘glow worm’ from a cave Valentine’s family had visited in Transylvania.” I was going to have the glow in the dark potion also hang from his belt, but it was too much weight and kept falling off.

“You’ve grown quite the collection of ingredients Spelly.”

“Thank you. I miss being on the road with you, …but it’s nice living in one place for a while. I’ve been able to safely practice my magic at Monster High. You’re right, they have a great magic course here. I’ve made new friends….and…someone who is more than a friend….”

Casta and Spelldon promise to keep Fate-timing each other at least once a week.

My G3 Deuce (don’t mind his glasses being off, all the other dolls have been told not to look at him, and visa versa, for this quick photo shoot, and the photographer was only stoned for an hour afterwards) and Spelldon (who used the same body and sculpt). Spelldon thinks Deuce looks kinda familiar, while Valentine is appalled at the thought that Spelldon might resemble Deuce.

(G3 Deuce’s hair repaint - I missed the gradient G1 Deuce had and G3 Deuce has a much more detail on his snakes in the show…..I don’t care for the paler plastic green his doll comes with).

Ben Daniels has been cast as Santiago. But he’s costarring in the play Medea in London’s West End until 22 April so he’s unlikely to be shooting in Prague until after that. The first IWTV filming date is 3 April so that leaves 3 weeks before Santiago shows up.

If they’re filming sequentially (which is likely if they want to try and hit an October premiere) then presumably Louis and Claudia won’t get to Paris til the 2nd or 3rd episode.

There’s 5 years between them leaving New Orleans in 1940 and arriving in Paris in 1945 (as seen in Claudia’s diaries) so I’m guessing they’ll either draw out the Eastern European section, or be in Paris a little while before encountering Santiago and the Theatre des Vampires.

In the book Santiago is the first Paris vampire that Louis meets, but that might change, too.

IMHO the Eastern Europe section of the book is boring as hell but I am more intrigued with what the show can do with it considering:

a) the time changes means it will likely contain WWII POW/concentration camps (as evidenced in Claudia’s diaries)

b) Claudia is going to be FURIOUS with Louis for not burning Lestat so potential for great scenes between them

c) Louis is going to be in a guilt/flashback spiral (hello, Lestat dreams/hallucinations!)

d) Claudia has to eat humble pie when she realises all her extensive old world vampire research was a complete waste of time

This is all entirely speculation based on reading the books, what we’ve seen in season one already, and timelines for season 2 filming…

Finished watching that long-ass but well-done Contrapoints video on Twilight and it wasn’t clownish!!! It was literate!!! For once!!! Still, I have des Notes(tm):

Not sophisticated people like Contrapoints mixing up movie and book canon willy-nilly. 😑 Some of her analysis and argument, then, is greatly weakened by this, especially when she mentions Bella’s nightmare in Breaking Dawn (very different film vs. movie). Make it clear which one you’re talking about, sis!!!

By that token, her claim that the Port Angeles scene and the James fight in the ballet studio are examples of disavowal is not held up by the books. The would-be rapists are not described in any way, much less erotically; the focus is on Edward’s rescue and his fury. James is not even described as typically beautiful, actually average, and his framing is that of a typical villain

Re: Disavowal theory, Contrapoints misses the fact that Bella is a parentified teen of working class parents. There is even an in-canon explanation re: Midnight Sun as to why she doesn’t like birthdays (spoiler: her mother just dngaf). So Bella’s distaste for attention and parties and money is not an affectation or maidenly disavowal. It is a character weakness stemming from neglect. Her character arc is to accept her worth and to move away from disavowal and play-acting modesty, embracing her true self

She greatly undersells how much Twilight subverts typical gender roles and conventions. It’s Bella who wants vampirism, Bella who wants sex from Edward, Bella who comes up with plans and solutions, Bella who saved Edward. It’s Bella whose mind can’t be penetrated or manipulated, who develops an interest in motorcycles and loves her truck. Vampire Bella may be fully realized in her autonomy both physically and socially, but Human Bella did well with what she could do and worked hard to reach her goals (vampirism, sex with Edward). She was only physically weak.

Twilight also subverts the B&B/predator-prey dynamic just as much as it eroticizes it. Bella and Edward personality-wise are much more alike than different (there is definitely several shades of Romeo and Juliet there), so their physical inequality ends up being yet another obstacle to their romance rather than an inherent part of their dynamic. A big chunk of the reason why Bella wants to be a vampire so badly is because she knows it’s the only way to truly be with Edward, that this man-of-steel-woman-of-tissue situation cannot continue. The end of series sees Bella and Edward as explicit equals

Also, also, from the way the vampires are written in Twilight, becoming a vampire can be interpreted as very much an escape from patriarchal life. No need to cook or clean, male vampires can’t get you pregnant, and even if a male vampire threatens you, you have your own power to fend them off. Sex-based discrimination is impossible in the vampiric world. Only individual cases of misogyny can exist. So there’s that

For that token, there were and are hundreds of romance novels and erotica that do—or try to do—the same thing as Twilight. Before Twilight there was the Vampire Diaries and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And yet, while highly popular, none of these were as great a phenomenon as Twilight. Unfortunately, Contrapoints doesn’t really delve into what makes Twilight different from the world of romance and erotica, only why it was a success

Uzun uzun açıklayacağım çünkü etrafta çok fazla yanlış bilgi dolaştığını düşünüyorum🥲 Temelinde tamamen çoklu evren teorisi bulunuyor. Çoklu evren teorisine göre birçok, hatta sonsuz sayıda evren bulunuyor. Eğer sonsuz bir evren varsa hayal edilen herhangi bir evren de bulunmak zorundadır. O halde yapılması gereken tek şey evrenler arası seyahat etmeyi öğrenmek.

Shifting yapan insanlar bulundukları gerçeklikten ayrılıp farklı bir evrende kendi tasarladıkları hayatı yaşamaya başlarlar. Evreni tasarlayan ise onlar değildir, hatta yaptıkları tek şey hayal ettikleri gerçekliğe geçiş yapmak. Bu evren sonsuz sayıda olan evrenlerden sadece bir tanesi. Yani kısacası bilinç farklı bir evrene aktarılıyor ve orada belirlenen süre kadar kalınıyor.

Bunu yalnızca düşünerek ayrıntılı olarak zihinde netleştirmek zor olacağından dolayı script yazmak size kolaylık sağlar ancak script olmadan da gidebilirsiniz.

Script Nereye Koyulur?

Klon Nedir?

Shifting klonu, boyut değiştirdikten sonra bu dünyada kalan beden ve içindeki temel bilinçtir. Farklı bir evrene gittiğinizde bedeniniz bu dünyada kaldı. Böyle bir durumda eğer zaman bağlantısını doğru ayarlamadıysanız veya geri dönmek uzun sürecekse klon burada devreye gidiyor.

Klona “ben yokken şunu yap, bunu yap” gibi özel talimatlar vermeniz şart değil çünkü boyut değiştirmiş olsanız bile bu evrenle olan enerjisel bağlantı devam ediyor, öyle olmasaydı geri dönülemezdi.

3. Uygun zamanı tercih et!

Shifting yapmanın en verimli zamanı uyumadan önce veya uyandıktan sonraki zamanlardır. Uyandıktan sonra yaparsanız zihin boş olacağı için daha kolay odaklanabilirsiz. Uyumadan önce yaparsanız uyku olacağından dolayı transa geçmek kolaylaşır. Hangi zamanda yapılacağı kendi tercihinize bağlı ancak gün içinde de yapabilirsiniz.

4.Bedenen hazırlan ve gevşe🫶🏻

Sırt üstü uzanmak şart değil, en rahat hissettiğiniz pozisyonu tercih edebilirsiniz.
