It doesn't matter if Felix's reputation went a little off course. Genevieve can see the happiness and love he brings into Bella's life, and that's enough for her to simply adore him. It helps that, in many ways, Felix feels like a breath of fresh air among Olympia's pristine bubble. A kindred spirit, of sorts. Over the past year, he's now practically part of the family and Genevieve is aware of his difficult relationship with his parents. She gives him a knowing look from across the event when she sees Agneta speak to him, waiting until the conversation is over and the Ranstrom matriarch is gone before she approaches.

"A drink for you, I made sure it was extra strong." Genevieve mutters, handing over a glass to help him cope with, what she assumes, was a prickling and sobering exchange with his own mother. "And a drink for me, that I also made sure was extra strong." she adds with a smile, gently clinking their glasses together in a cheers. Her ex husband is floating around this event, because of course he is. She can practically sense David Westwood's faux charm oozing through the room. "You know, if this wasn't hosted by Henry fucking-" she whispers that part, "Sterling, I'd say let's see who can get the drunkest but seem the most sober." Gen chuckles then but her distaste is evident, politicians sworn off her books for the rest of her life.

"I'll be honest, I do come here with strong drinks and with a favor to ask." she lowers her voice again, scanning the afternoon party with a gentle nod. "Her. See, her? With the big head?" she tries to tilt her chin in a subtle gesture. "She works for CoreStream and I know Bella wanted to be here to meet her." but obviously her daughter has got caught up in something more important than laughing at people's jokes that aren't even funny. "I can't network on her behalf, it's...well, it's embarrassing for a mother to. And secondly, it could make me look a little naughty." she explains, still quiet and private. "But a fiance championing for his love's cause? Well, that's different and touching, and bound to win someone over. Unless their heart is made of reinforced glass."

It still takes Agneta by surprise to see her oldest son at an event like this. It doesn't matter if, in the last year, Felix is straightening his act and falling into line. She doesn't think anyone can blame her for being a little distrusting, wondering how long it will last for. If this is the new Felix forever, or just the new Felix for now. Maybe it's the Nilsson in her that makes her want to test it, to see just how dedicated he is to this new and improved way of living. Of course, in the presense of company, Agneta is all smiles. Bright and cheerful, discreetly leaving a conversation to approach her son. "No Isabella, hm? That little hobby of hers is beginning to take up so much of her time." she comments, and it's supposed to be a greeting. "I'm starting to think she's avoiding me, but that can't be the case. Can it? Unless, I've said something I'm not aware caused offense? She does tend to...bottle it up." the statement made is confident about the Westwood, even if Agneta knows she has no right to make it. "Well, at least you look handsome and presentable. But, try not tell Henry Sterling in a round about way that he's insufferable this time. This is his home." it was over a year ago since Felix insulted the politician, but that hardly matters when...test, test, test.

After what felt like an eternity, Felix finally had Dorian trotting beside him again, and this time, on a leash. The last time he saw this scruffy ball of wiry fur, Felix was bidding farewell at the vets with the promise he'd see the dog again. And then, for months, Dorian was a world away. But now, as the two of them wandered through the bustling terminal of LAX, Felix couldn't help but notice how much healthier the dog looked. The wiry fur was still Dorian's trademark, and no amount of grooming was going to change that but there was a new sparkle in the dog's eyes, a vitality that wasn't there before. It was as if Dorian had finally found something worth wagging his tail about.

Felix was thankful that Bella had offered to tag along. She was the kind of person who knew when he needed company, even if he didn't say it. And, Felix had never been a particularly big dog person, knowing Bella had a calming presence that seemed to extend even to animals. As they made their way through the airport, Dorian trotted happily between them, his paws tapping against the cold tile floor with a curiosity that made Felix smile. The dog sniffed at everything like it was his first time encountering the world, and in a way, it probably was.

"Can dogs get jet-lagged?" Felix asked, the question slipping out before he could stop himself. It was the sort of thing Bella might know, but even as he asked, his other hand was already fishing his phone out of his pocket, ready to consult the all-knowing internet. He glanced at Dorian, who seemed perfectly fine, if not a little too fine. "He's happy, right?" Felix added, hoping the sudden wave of apprehension that hit him like a cold breeze wasn't too obvious.

This was, after all, a bit more intense than his usual habits. Rescuing a literal stray dog from Italy, flying him across the Atlantic, and now strolling through LAX with a new four-legged companion a month later? It was a far cry from his typical routine of getting drunk and indulging in a few…other pick-me-ups. "Maybe I could take him for a walk on Rosie’s beach or something?" Felix mused aloud, his thoughts half-formed and scattered. The idea of introducing Dorian to the sand and surf seemed nice, a poetic end to the dog's long journey. "Or do you think that would…that's a lot in one day, right? I'd probably tell someone to fuck off if they wanted me to jump around on a beach after a flight." Felix looked at Bella with a shrug over his shoulders. "If you hadn't noticed, the reality of looking after something other than myself is finally sinking in."

ABOUT

Ophelia was born in The Wards, orphaned within minutes of her little sister being born. Their mother died due to health complications and by a stroke of luck, the two sisters were kept together before being adopted several months later by David and Genevieve Westwood.

The Wards had been home to Ophelia for two years, and while memories are just blurs now, there's always been a feeling in her heart that what they left behind was a tragedy that could've been their story. People who could've been their family.

The thoughts lingered as she grew up in a loving family. She ended up following her mother's footsteps, going into law with the desire to help those who might not have the same leg up that being on Olympia provided her with.

Fee sympathized with Bella's struggles, learning the hard way that people didn't want to help those on the lower levels. The Olympia outlook was very much an out of sight, out of mind one which left Fee frustrated and chomping at the bit to do something useful without hurting her parents careers. Especially David's considering optics was everything for him.

But when he admitted to his affair, and he and Gen divorced, Fee was taken aback. Mostly because she felt like as a lawyer, she should have a better read on people, especially her father. But their mom was caught off guard too and Fee quickly learned that sometimes it's the people closest to you who keep secrets.

With this revelation, Fee and Bella started a non profit called Outreach, becoming more vocal about their views and policies. They have become a voice for the people and place they left behind, even if it means speaking out against their dad.

Fee is definitely more analytical in how she goes about their work at Outreach, trying to make a difference while also keeping the lights on. She maintains her work as a lawyer because she's good at it but not all Olympia trusts her ability to represent them anymore.

A recent infusion of capital from Felix Ranström has given Outreach a second wind and their work continues. Fee is grateful for his help, and even happier for him and Bella to get engaged.

The Westwood sisters are still hard at work, trying to make a difference for those in The Wards but sometimes in their earnestness to do good, they get into sticky situations. Like how they're trying to brainstorm where to get medical supplies now that Bella's promised them. There's never a dull day working with her sister, or on a case, and despite wanting to help The Wards and everyone on the level, Fee is forever grateful for the opportunity adoption gave her and her sister.

Isabella doesn't know anything about her birth parents, only that she was immediately under the care of an orphanage not long after she was born. At only a few months old she was adopted by Genevieve and David Westwood, a famous actress and director. Just like that, Isabella's life became far greater than the one originally destined for her. She's never thought of Genevieve or David as anything but mom and dad, and Emine as her sister.

While she was growing up, Isabella loved the idea of becoming an actress like her mother and featured in a few kids shows alongside her sister?? If Amanda wants. However, when she reached her teens, Isabella expressed concern about being just another nepo baby in Hollywood.

In true Gen fashion, her mother suggested the stage name of "Bella West" and decided to trudge Isabella through the life of an actress from the very beginning, driving her to auditions for soap commercials or the glamorous McDonalds. While it wasn't completely the same as starting from nothing, Isabella still gained valuable lessons on dedication and hard work.

Despite her parents getting divorced due to her father's infidelity, Isabella maintains a relationship with David but these days it's mostly surface level and due to obligation rather than the close bond they used to have. Her belief is that when choices fracture a family, nothing can ever go back to the same as it was before.

Now, Bella West is a known name in the world of television and film. She's fortunate enough now to choose her projects, always opting for roles and stories that are layered, emotional or introspective. She's also known as being outspoken on her social media, usually against injustices and on social and race issues.

Her most recent project set to release in 2024 is The Crow where she worked with Felix Ranstrom. The two have found themselves in a hesitant and confusing relationship that began while filming and has continued since. While nothing is official, it hasn't stopped comments that notice a certain chemistry between them but for Bella, it's not that simple.

She's well aware of Felix's chaotic nature and is willing to help him muddle through the mess of his emotions but she's already cautious of the back and forth that they're both guilty of starting and stopping. Her mind tells her one thing while her heart tells her another, and it's the first time in her life that they've never been on the same page.

I used to be a fan of Hollyoaks years ago and started watching again about two weeks ago because of the Hayray storyline. I went back and watched the episode where Dillon first arrived and noticed in the title sequence there were way more teens stood at the bus stop back then than there are now. Who were they and why did they leave?

A little note nestles between stems reads a simple 'Thank you.' Ominous, Genevieve thinks if she had to be honest, but she's quick to find something in Astra's kitchen that can be used as a vase. "Not sure how you'll explain this to Felix." she adds with a chuckle, shooting Astra a grin. "At first I thought they were from him, but that would have been the strangest delivery man to ever exist." she hums, recalling the way the man had been adamant to see Astra again and Genevieve lying through her teeth with ease. She's not here, she's only here some nights, darling but I'll make sure she gets these. Once she finds a vase, or rather a jug, Genevieve angles it at the small kitchen counter and turns to Astra with a smile. Her hands clap together, and she glances around the small living space. "Where's my angel?" she then asks promptly, half expecting Nova to come springing out to greet her.
