"Through the door," Mimi said, turning around to point to said door, though saw it was gone. "What the?" The felinain then looked around, realizing this wasn't her room.
Tumblr media
Mimi's eye twitched as she tried to keep her cool from letting anger take her or breaking down and freaking out. The felinain just looked at the... toy, thing? "Please tell me that's you Valentine in some creepy dog toy costume."

This is is with Learning with Pibby!
In this one, Dark Ace goes insane after leaving his first survivor group, realizing he, and others who aren't infected, can't die(cartoon logic). He ends up living alone in a cave for years, cannibalizing himself for his survival.
That is, until he meets Tess' group. Being the first contact he's had in so long, he invites himself, and is essentially their hunter/night watch.
I might just draw up the actual character sheets later, of both the previous and new group, just because I've always loved the concept behind the pilot.

Webtoon Research
Felinia is a comic series that involves the idea of cats having survived the apocalypse and evolving to be a complicated and human like species that have used the previous research of humans to grow exponentially quickly. What happens in this world though is that the cats once evolved call themselves Felinia's and exiled all other species that they considered feral and beneath them, as can be imagined this appears to be a racist commentary as our protagonist is a half fox half felinia which leads to them facing discrimination from other felinias around them, While looking into the comic pages it seems that it has been drawn over a long period of time as you can notice the artists art style change through out the comic. I wanted to look into this comic to help me understand separate designs, and look into how they've simplified their characters, The comic itself isn't made professionally however it did gain a following, the artist responsible for making this comic was hannah daigle, they have stopped working on this comic however have been working on many other projects such as being an animator on Smiling friends. Personally I do really like the comics art style on the later pages
Tumblr media
while the designs are simple I really like their designs as well as how they've used the characters colours and body shape help differentiate them. I love how this comic looks and I find the story very intriguing.

HOLY GROUND, miles morales
"like a girl in a brand new dress
we had this big wide city all to ourselves
we blocked the noise with the sound of 'i need you'
and for the first time I had something to lose"
pairing: felicia hardy × miles morales

Tumblr media
felicia and the rest of the spidergang huddled on the roof of fisk's gala, their eyes fixed on the scene below. they watched as fisk, standing at the podium, addressed the crowd with a self-satisfied smile.
"thank you. it's nice to be with you this evening to celebrate spider-man. he and i were very close," fisk declared, his voice dripping with false sincerity. felicia seethed with anger, her mind flashing back to the haunting image of fisk ruthlessly murdering peter.
gwen couldn't contain her disgust. "What a pig," she muttered quietly, her eyes burning with anger and sorrow. spiderham, taking offense to the comment, interjected, "im right here."
spidernoir, always keen on details, diverted their attention to the waiters' attire. "hold on. get a load of how the waiters are dressed," he said, a mix of curiosity and disdain in his voice. "it's in poor taste, but... it can't be that easy."
as felicia and the spiders made their way towards the entrance, pen halted felicia's progress. "wait, felinia you don't have a spider-man costume," peni pouts, concern evident in her voice.
felicia smirked confidently. "I'll find a way," she replied, determination gleaming in her eyes.
dressed in her sleek black attire, felicia blended effortlessly with the dimly lit surroundings.
as felicia observed the bustling crowd, her sharp instincts led her to a waiter discreetly serving a table nearby. with swift precision, she closed in on him, timing her move perfectly. with a swift strike to his neck, the waiter crumpled to the floor, unconscious. taking advantage of the chaos surrounding her, felicia swiftly stripped the waiter of his attire, slipping into his uniform with expertise. adjusting the cap and straightening her borrowed attire, she became an inconspicuous part of the restaurant staff.
moving with an air of confidence, felicia stepped out into the audience, her heart pounding with excitement. the patrons chatted, oblivious to the dangerous game unfolding within their midst. her gaze roamed the room, searching for her target: wilson fisk.
she discreetly made her way between tables, expertly blending with the busy waitstaff, all keeping a close eye on the guests. felicia knew she had to be careful, for fisk's security detail was formidable. but her years of training had honed her skills to perfection, and her confidence soared.
finally, she spotted him -a towering figure in an exquisite suit, surrounded by loyal associates. fisk's presence commanded attention, yet felicia knew that in the chaos of the restaurant, she could go unnoticed. her adrenaline surged as she moved closer, keeping her movements smooth and calculated.
as she approached fisk's table, felicia feigned professionalism, balancing a tray of drinks with a practiced poise. she maintained a calm demeanor, her heart pounding beneath her borrowed uniform. within her, the thrill of the heist mingled with the risk of exposure.
with a calculated glance, she confirmed fisk's identity. there he was, the target of her intricate scheme. but as felicia observed him, a sense of caution washed over her. she needed more information, more time to ensure the success of her mission. so she bided her time, observing, analyzing and preparing for the perfect moment to strike.
she sees the spiders leave towards to door. most likely making their way to the collider. she stays put, waiting to follow fisk.
fisk made his exact, surrounded by his entourage of security guards.
with practiced grace, felicia stealthily followed him, each step calculated to avoid detection. as she closed in on him, she swiftly took out his four security team members one by one, silently disabling them before they could even react. fisk remained oblivious to the danger that lurked behind him.
their path led them to a sophisticated laboratory that overlooked a massive collider. felicia observed fisk giving orders to the scientist, instructing him to initiate the sequence. her sharp eyes also caught sight of fisk's group of vicious villains closing in on a group of unsuspecting spiders
determined to put an end to the chaos, felicia tapped fisk on his massive shoulder. "hi," she said, her voice filled with an air of confidence that matched her elegant demeanor.
fisk turned, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the woman who dared interrupt his plans. a smile across his face. "ah, the black cat, he growled, voice drinning with arrogance "you couldn't resist getting involved, could you? well, let's see if you're as formidable as they say."
with those words, the confrontation escalated into a fierce battle. felicia and fisk clashed in a whirlwind of speed, strength, and skill. each move was executed with precision, the sound of blows reverberating through the lab.
fisk, relying on his immense size and strength, delivered bone-crushing punches and sweeps aimed at overwhelming his nimble opponent. "you're just a pest, felicia!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the lab. "i've dealt with pests like you before, and they all ended up squashed!"
felicia evaded his attacks, relying on her agility and acrobatics to stay one step ahead. her claws extended, she lashed out, leaving deep scratches on fisk's body.
their fight continued, a battle of contrasting styles and strengths. felicia's finesse and speed matched against fisk's brute force. furniture shattered, equipment malfunctioned, and sparks flew as the conflict raged on.
felicia and kingpin engaged in a brutal fight within the confines of the lab. the clash of their skills echoed through the room as they exchanged fierce blows. however, despite her agility and precision, felicia found herself gradually being overpowered by kingpin immense strength.
a devastating strike from kingpin caught felicia off guard, sending her crashing into a nearby console. the impact left her momentarily stunned, her vision blurred. seizing the opportunity, kingpin swiftly moved towards his next target: peter and miles, who were shutting down the collider.
as felicia groggily regained consciousness, her eyes widened in alarm. she saw miles valiantly trying to hold his ground against the relentless fisk. she propelled herself into action.
with renewed determination, felicia launched at fisk, catching him off balance. her claws sliced through the air, striking true and drawing blood from the crime lord's face. crimson droplets splattered across her own face and clothes, a stark contrast against the dark fabric.
miles watched in surprise as felicia joined the fray, their combined assault putting kingpin on the defensive. together, they unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, exploiting any weakness they could find. fisk, disoriented by the sudden turn of events, struggled to counter their synchronized assault.
felicia, agile and stealthy, relied on reflexes to dodge fisk's powerful strikes. she swiftly weaved between his attacks, using her acrobatic skills to maintain her distance. her lithe body moved effortlessly as she landed precise blows, exploiting any opening she could find.
miles, on the other hand, relied on his unique spider-powers. he activated his web-shooters, creating intricate webs that enveloped fisk, momentarily restraining him. this provided felicia with the opportunity to deliver powerful kicks and punches temporarily incapacitating the crime lord.
fisk, however, was not easily defeated. his sheer strength and brute force allowed him to break free from miles' webs, sending the young hero sprawling. but miles quickly regained his composure, his determination unwavering.
as the train hurtled forward, miles shot out webs to swing back into the action. he combined his spider-sense with his agility, anticipating fisk's moves and narrowly evading his devastating attacks. with each dodge, miles retaliated, launching a barrage of web strikes to weaken the towering adversary.
felicia, being a master of strategy, analyzed fisk's fighting style. she exploited his size and limited mobility, darting around him and delivering swift blows to his vulnerable areas. her strikes were precise, aiming for fisk's joints and pressure points to disrupt his balance and weaken his attacks.
yet, in a desperate bid to regain control, fisk unleashed a tremendous blow that sent miles hurtling across the train they were fighting in. felicia found herself isolated, facing off against fisk once more.
undeterred, felicia refused to back down. she fought with unwavering determination, each strike fueled by a burning desire to protect the city from fisk's tyranny. blow by blow, she gained the upper hand, her agility and cunning outmatching the crime lord's sheer brute force.
as felicia forced fisk to the ground, she could taste victory. seizing the opportunity, felicia lunged at fisk with a ferocity fueled by grief and rage. she clawed at his face, leaving deep, bloody gashes across his cheeks.
felicia clawed at fisk's face with all her might, tears streaming down her cheeks as she unleashed a primal scream. lost in the heat of battle, she didn't even realize the mixture of anguish and fury fueling her relentless assault. her nails dug deep into fisk's flesh, leaving behind angry red marks, as her cries echoed through the chaotic train car.
just as she was about to deliver the final blow, she felt a sudden restriction. miles had used his web-shooters to bind her hands together, preventing her from delivering the fatal strike.
'stop, felicia! this isn't what peter would have wanted!" miles pleaded, his voice filled with concern and compassion.
confusion and realization swept over felicia, her breathing erratic. she looked down at her bloodstained hands, her body trembling with a mixture of adrenaline and sorrow. the weight of her actions hit her like a tidal wave, and she hyperventilated, unable to comprehend the chaos she had become.
miles rushed to her side, enveloping her in a gentle embrace. her held her tightly, repeating soothing words. "you're okay, felicia. it's going to be okay."
as felicia clung to miles, tears mingling with the blood on her face, a sliver of solace crept into her shattered heart.

Jeanette's Big Night
Xandria set down to watch the tournament, held at the Great Arena of Gehenna, with a degree of boredom and indifference. She tried to remember who all were competing and who was worth that extra little push to victory should they need it.
The tournament had 4 classes. Squire class was for teenagers who specifically have not drawn blood before. These were also forbidden to bet on and were largely held in small side areas for noble teens or street urchins looking for their big shot. Upstart class was fully open and meant for people who had little fighting background, as a result it had the most entrants. Hero class was for those with true battle experience and people here often fought for a lord, kingdom, demonic patron, or holy deity. An entry fee kept most people away. Finally was the Conqueror class, meant for those who had invitations and fought in brutal preliminary matches.
“Okay, Your Darkness. You have 6 fighters in the top two classes. Crandall the Crag made it to the finals for Conqueror…” The demoness servant gave the painfully boring detail on the six combatants. None of them were unique per se. Renne was curious for making to to Hero despite her long and rather unfortunate career but that was about it. Xandria gave a bored wave to shoo the demoness away as the portal that gave her a view into the human world was cast on the wall.
“Maybe someone in Upstart has something interesting going on. You really never know what’s going to happen in these matches.” The matches in the early going tended to be rather poor with a quick victor or a dull, defensive match. Xandria watched and allowed her mind to wander a bit when the announcer said something that perked her ears despite his bored tone.
“Next fighters. With the blue belt, Axel of Hearthshold fighting for Lord Snovel with a sword. With the red belt, Jeanette of Mistwald fighting for her patron Xandria with a polearm.”
Xandria immediately lifted her head, only for her gaze to slowly shift to the demoness. “Why didn’t anyone tell me the Jeanette girl was fighting in this event?!”
“Well, Your Darkness… she wasn’t fighting in the top two classes. She can’t win any money or prize from it, plus no one really pays attention to the class, so I didn’t think it was necessary…” There was genuine confusion from the young demoness.
“I will be the judge of that!” There was little anger in her voice despite the outburst. Her eyes returned to the portal as the match began.
~~~~
The fight was not much of a fight. Young Axel was a trained swordsman, but not a talented one. Polearms were considered crude weapons to his lord and naturally had little experience against them. He tried his honest best, but after a few clashes of their weapons Jeanette did a flashy overhead spin and cleaved the breastplate from his body in one, clean swing. Following that with a short, horizontal thrust; the sword clattered to the soft earth below. “Match! Red belt.” While the fight was short, Jeanette’s flashy style and her sleek, black armor was a hit with the fans. She traced Xandria’s crest on her armor as a little display of devotion as she walked back to the staging area. The red belt was issued by the tournament to distinguish fighters, but in her case it really wasn’t necessary. She was a standout already.
~~~~
Xandria smiled. “Stylish and skilled! That sniveling child didn’t stand a chance against her.” An older demoness rolled her eyes as the younger demoness from before tapped her on the shoulder.
“Um, am I missing something?”
“Yes. You are.” the older demoness was rather flat. “She occasionally gets fascinated with particular humans for strange reasons. This one is a modestly talented human but for some reason is taken and devoted to Xandria. For what reason no one could possibly guess.”
“Is it that unusual for humans to be devoted to powerful beings?”
A sigh. “This one is just so… earnest about it. If you changed Xandria to the goddess Felinia in her vocabulary you would never notice. There’s no lust for power or strength, or desire to become a demoness either, she just likes serving her and Xandria is just fascinated with her despite her overall mediocrity. If it was mere fancy that would be one thing, but she stretches her contracts to give her an unusual benefit of the doubt. It’s really quite annoying.” The diatribe ended as she saw Xandria turn her attention away from the portal.
“I insist to be informed when she fights again. Now, who’s next?” Xandria had almost a floral quality in her low voice. The younger demoness called out the fighters from the Hero class that were on deck.
By the end of the first round it was almost an embarrassment. Crandall advanced and only a single Hero made it to the second round. Xandria watched the fights and while she was always pleased to see a contractor of hers win, seeing Jeanette win with her glistening, obsidian armor always brought a genuine smile to her face. Crandall had the hardest fights of all but would only advance to the semi-finals before he lost. A fine performance, and farther than any other contractor of hers had made it. Thankfully for him his contract was to “represent her admirably” and Xandria decided to consider it fulfilled. Vernor made it to the Hero semis as well but was bested (and rather badly) by a powerful priestess of the Holy Eronian Order. He was lucky Xandria was too focused on the other fights.
After a long break Xandria ordered all of her servants close by to watch the Upstart Class finals. This was the perfect time to roll your eyes or sigh at having to do this because she definitely wouldn’t notice.
~~~~~
“And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The final matches of the Great Arena of Gehenna will soon begin! Bets can still be placed on the later two matches but the Upstart Class finals begin right now! 96 fighters have come but only 2 remain!”
Jeanette stood in the staging area, trying to slow her breathing. The attendants helped her get ready and now it was just one person standing in her way. Frankly, combat wasn’t always Jeanette’s strength and magic was forbidden here. In her own mind, she had hoped to just advance past the first couple of rounds but here she was, in the finals.
“Coming to the arena from the western approach! She’s an up and coming knight in service of the Goddess Felinia and her unique twin blade fighting style has the eyes of the great priests and priestesses of this ancient order! She’s fast, she’s strong, she’s Bethany of the Felinian Order!”
The tall woman strode out of the staging area with her head held high. Two short swords with a teal tint were at her sides as the crowd cheered. The white and blue robes showed dirt from earlier fights but glowed against the torches in the night sky. Not too loose but still modest in dress. The bettors and fight fans hoped she had the skill to match her natural beauty while the locals were taken with her serene facial expression. A model of a servant to a good goddess like Felinia.
“Coming in from the eastern approach! She’s the reason we call this the Upstart Class! A common born girl with that powerful, ebon armor and glossy, black halberd has turned every head here in Gehenna! But don’t let her soft features fool you! Serving the demoness Xandria, it’s Jeanette of Mistwald!
She exhaled and walked into the arena that felt oddly bigger than it did before. The crowd roared at the young woman who looked like the villainess from an old fairytale and the features of a meadow maiden. Red gauntlets and greaves stood against the black armor, with the crest of Xandria engraved in the breastplate; not visible from a distance but it held enough meaning for her to trace with her finger. For the organizers this was the fight of a lifetime. A beautiful woman from the ruling holy order and a woman who screams “I am the bad girl in this story!” is the best outcome. The professional bettors were there, but demon servants and ordinary folk alike threw a few pieces of silver in the betting pools for these two. The fact that the two had opposing styles didn’t hurt either.
Back in the demonic plane, Xandria was enraptured at the display. A smug and arrogant Felinian warrior acolyte versus Jeanette was everything she could have wanted.
“Is this part of her agreement?” One demoness asked another.
“No. She’s under no order to be there, as long as she doesn’t trigger the part of every contract of embarrassing Xandria she can’t be punished. Although… let’s be honest I’m not sure there’s anything that girl could do short of dying or failing badly that could make Xandria punish her.” The demoness’s tone wasn’t as degrading as the others but clearly this must be a “demon queen thing” to care this much about the trevails of an ordinary human.
“Fighters are you ready?”
Bethany raised her swords, one at eye level and one out from her chest.
Jeanette raised her halberd with the blade behind her head and vertical.
The judge raised his hand and yelled to the highest of heavens: “Begin!”
The two let out a cry and charged at one other. The fight was on.
It was easily the closest match so far in the Upstart ranks and the two were quite well matched. Bethany’s ability to use two short swords was unusual and kept Jeanette on her toes, but with Jeanette’s strength and her ability to leverage a long weapon Bethany couldn’t go for a strong enough blow to win. Bethany was a fighter trained from birth to serve Felinia. Jeanette was a street girl who picked up a polearm to make up for her slight stature. The former’s training was starting to win out, as Jeanette’s stamina was betraying her. To the spectators, nothing was unusual. The woman in black was powerful yet graceful while the woman in blue was gallant and noble.
Back in the demonic plane, Xandria watched in complete rapture as Jeanette fought on and fought hard. Even a few of the other demonesses were getting into the fight despite their earlier sneering.
Bethany struck a decent blow and Jeanette staggered backwards, just barely on her feet as Bethany reared both of her swords back for a final strike. Jeanette just barely got her halberd in the way but she couldn’t deflect the blades away from her body. In a moment of panic Jeanette used her left arm to guide the polearm down and take the blades with it. Before Bethany could bring the blades back up to eye level, Jeanette decided to improvise and punched her right in the face. Hand to hand combat was not a foul, but not a very “noble” way of fighting. Bethany staggered back now as she wasn’t expecting her opponent to fight like a barfly who’s upset they ran out of mead. A gentle flow of blood flowed from her nose as Jeanette shook her hand from the pain. The two quickly resumed the fight with a new vigor.
A mixture of cheers and boos came from the crowd at the punch. One patron in particular demanded his bets be refunded after a “boorish display such as this”. Xandria almost let out a cheer of her own when Jeanette decked that snobby Felinian acolyte. While she seemed to be the better fighter, Bethany didn’t quite seem the same after that punch. Her swipes were more furious and faster, but exhausting herself in the process. The fight would end when Bethany lost one of her swords in an attempt to go for Jeanette’s leg, only for Jeanette to block the swipe with her left greave and used a full swing to knock the other sword from her hand. It was only a few seconds before the other one was knocked from her grip and she found that black obsidian blade under her chin.
The judge raised his hand and the crowd completely lost it. Bethany was the betting favorite so more than a couple of fortunes were made on that night thanks to the risky underdog Jeanette. “It’s over! The fight is over! Your newest Upstart ladies and gentlemen! Jeanette of Mistwald!”
Xandria smiled broadly. “You see? That’s what devotion to me leads to! I knew that Jeanette girl was a good fighter, she just needed more practice and more time!”
The older demoness looked at the younger one, “She’ll calm down soon, don’t mind her, unless…”
The crowd settled a bit as Jeanette walked to the center ring to address the crowd. A common tradition for the Upstart class, as many sought to advertise their services or say something memorable in the hopes of being picked up to serve a noble house somewhere. Fighting for exposure isn’t worth anything if you can’t expose yourself after all.
The older demoness looked intently. “Please human. Don’t do it. Have some decency and spare us all...” The younger demoness gave a confused look as she looked back at the portal.
“My opponent tested me well, and showed me numerous flaws in my fighting style. She has showed why the Felinian Order is so fearsome and powerful.” The blood was rushing to her head. “This will make me a stronger fighter for the glory of the future queen of this realm! The great and powerful demoness Xandria!”
The older demoness sunk her head in her hands as Xandria was bordering on ecstasy despite keeping her composure throughout. She could picture the humans lining up to serve her and gain a taste of that power. This was clearly better for her fame than someone winning in Hero or Conqueror class (it really wasn’t). “Uriel!” Her voice rang through the chamber as a demoness came to her seat. “Have the Dark Temple of Reale prepare a room for her at once. She is to be given the finest treatment to recover from her fights. You know she’s shy and humble so don’t give her a choice in the matter. Power is it’s own reward, but influence like that is worth more than power. At once!” The demoness bowed to give orders to the priestess there as the others started to return to their regular duties before they got roped into something to pamper Xandria’s pet human.
At the arena, the arena was cleared as the Hero class finals were going to begin. Jeanette was accosted by more than a few offers from other demon servants to change allegiances and a few feudal lords who offered to accommodate her contracts. She was nice to everyone as she declined all offers. A few of the bettors who won big on her fight even deemed to share their winnings with her as a woman in a black robe approached her and whispered in her ear. Jeanette said goodbye and followed the woman into the woods, as the crowds soon moved on as the Hero class fights were going to begin.
The Temple came into sight as the lovely women in tight, black clothes came running to her. Removing her armor and taking her halberd to be cared for. Jeanette was almost bewildered by this kind of attention but the woman in robes raised a finger and the women stopped. “A gift, from Xandria for your victory. She… insists.” A wicked smile. “Girls, take her to the baths. She’s had a long couple of moons, and take special care of that right hand.” Jeanette breathed slowly at the thought of being rewarded like this. While she wasn’t comfortable she wasn’t going to disrespect this kind of hospitality. The women led her away to the baths underneath and Jeanette hoped the warm baths and dark maidens bathing her would calm her mind. They disappeared behind the doors and the high priestess returned to her duties knowing her charge would be very, very well cared for.
Webtoons
Webtoons are digital comics, they were initially released in South Korea however the format became incredibly popular world wide with many people creating and releasing their own titles, I really like this format of comics as it allows anyone to get there comic out there without having to go through a publisher as well as it makes the comic work more universally accessible, this allows you to widen the audience that interacts with your work. I really like Webtoons as they widen the market for people to make their own comics as well as it could potentially kick start careers into the industry however the issue that comes with something like this is that anyone can technically make any comic they want so webtoons won't be met with professional standards as if it were published.
Tumblr media
Some of the Webtoon comics that I enjoy reading would be Duncan and Eddie
Another Webtoon that I have interest in would be Felinia
I also enjoy Artists that post small comedic comic strips on the internet, They are not industry professionals however I love how they put their Art style and humor in their comics.
One of these Artists would be Glassshine who can be found on tumblr, he creates small comics that tackle the audiences relatable humor I love his art style and how his use of color makes a lot of his art seem comforting and warm.
