just had the though of John and Arthur having one of them 3 am talks and discussing what it's like to live in a human body and John doesn't quite grasp not being aware of all your various parts and organs all the time and Arthur has to explain that humans CAN be aware of certain things to an extent but thinking too hard about it or suddenly being made aware of it is VERY unpleasant

Cue John making a game of finding quiet moments when Arthur's least expecting it and just

"Hey Arthur?"

"Hm?"

"...Dont think about how your skin feels over your flesh."

Followed by Arthur fucking full body grimacing and yelling at John to "fucking STOP THAT" and John cackling like a baritone bog witch because no it never gets old even if he does it at LEAST once a week

I just don't understand people who don't do a COVID test when they get sick

#like yes of course for some people thats not affordable #but for the vast majority money isnt the issue #i picked up a sore throat and congestion over the weekend and figured it was allergies #i was pretty damn sure but i coughed last night and thats unusual #so i bit the bullet and at 7 fucking am this morning i went and found a covid test before work #good thing too because by the time i got to work the test was positive #because of that im within the window for paxlovid #and i havent really exposed that many people #my brother in christ this shit kills people #its not the common cold #the responsible thing to do is to test when youre fucking sick #and isolate if you know its covid #i have no idea on what criteria i qualified for paxlovid but im guessing it was asthma #heres hoping my mcas doesnt throw a tantrum about this #its entirely possible i caught this from my coworker #who did not test at all and stopped wearing a mask after a day or two #they know about my health issues and i cant help but feel hurt about how little they cared about the possible consequences to me #i should be fine btw im not even feeling particularly sick #salt baby talks #disability #chronic illness

i get the impression that a lot of white yanks on the internet feel that making fun of (in particular) UK regional slang or accents or whatever is in some way punching down, when it actually makes you look like the exact same kind of arrogant, ignorant american stereotype that the rest of the world is embarrassed by. you're not throwing tea into the harbour right now or what the fuck ever, you're just making it extremely clear that you think america is the centre of the world, and you've never experienced anything to challenge that belief.

#especially when it's WHITE americans justifying this attitude with snide comments about historical english imperialism?#like babes that's you as well! that was YOUR ancestors!#it's like they see white english people as somehow Whiter than white americans.#or feel like they can slightly distance themselves from their own whiteness by making these jokes?#and obviously an english person getting their feelings hurt bc a yank insulted their accent/slang/food etc #is not the biggest injustice on the internet #but the momentum of the american cultural monopoly really is huge and hard to avoid #and it's just deeply annoying to see a bunch of americans on an internet that is already full of americans #smugly going 'um actually the word you use for this thing is wrong. nobody calls it that.'#when the rest of us already use american slang and consume american cultural exports #and edit our phrasing so americans won't be confused by encountering a term they haven't heard before.#when actually maybe it would do some of you some good to be exposed to unfamiliar things a bit more often.

i believe i answered a similar ask a few months back, i don’t mind answering it again though !!

i’ve talked about the littlest pet shop stop at least a billion times already, but they really are a great place to shop for lps :o) they’ve been my go-to store for at least a year now. they ship very quickly and are always responsive when help is needed. do give them a try if you haven’t already

littlest kinz is another go-to of mine, though she’s taking a mental health break(?) last time i checked, and so her website isn’t useable at the moment. but she said a while ago she’ll be returning soon, so when she does i do encourage you to shop with her. she’s absolutely lovely, easy to talk to, and 100% trustworthy/reliable !!

lpsqueen is another !! i get most of my accessories and replacement pieces from them, and i haven’t had a bad experience yet (really i haven’t had any bad experiences with any of the folks i’ve mentioned!!) - i don’t have much else to say, but i do recommend them !!

i’ve only just started shopping with littlest brainrot, so i don’t have a lot to say. i’ve only done with order with them, but it came without any hiccups and i was very pleased !!
