After walking around Okinawa for two hours, I wandered in a neighborhood below a bridge, by the water, where sand creviced the streets. I spotted cars parked around a particular house, and I thought it must have been some type of gathering, but my gut instinct said it was something else. realized that both the beginning and the end of the happy paris stage of Loumand's relationship has this same contrasting orange to blue/green color scheme. and like. the visual metaphor of Armand literally leaving his cold, lifeless world behind him and choosing the bright, golden warmth of life with Louis instead of killing him like he was supposed to in that tunnel. but as soon as he chooses the coven over Louis, he separates from the warmth like oil in water that was never supposed to be there. and now he's back out in the cold. I'm normal about this, btw.

Anyone who lives in the grand rapids area in MI, I recommend this amazing local restaurant, 76th street diner, or as it was introduced to me, truck stop. It's a truck stop in a gas station open 24/7 and the food is great and the waitstaff are amazing! I love them so much, you should go

dedicate life to something bigger than yourself. find your philosophy and embody that. remain on the path by upkeeping discipline. outside influences can lead you astray and trip you up but it's really you. YOU are the difference between stumbling and getting up versus continuously stumbling and remaining flat on your face. YOU have to order your steps and remember how to navigate life again. so you might as well find a "why" in life so you have a reason to keep going. big or small, just find something to hold onto while you're rebuilding that trust to keep going.

okay i GOTTA ask- is noel polish???? my guy knows what babka is and I'm not sure if that's just from general exposure to some good polish delis in new york or if he was raised on that stuff (and if he was...... i would absolutely LOVE to know his thoughts on pierogi and sauerkraut)

Day 25. almost free. almost done.

it is Fake Peppino Friday... but for some reason, the sound of clucking is in the distance? that's strange..... perhaps one of these little Fakelings has something to do with it.

around a nearby town, strange rumors started popping up, about an old abandoned building that had stood vacant for a good few years. but odd sounds had been heard from within, the sounds of hard work, heavy objects being moved, and inhuman, almost cluck-like cries. nobody knew what it could have been, and none were brave enough to investigate. until... one day, out of nowhere, the building appeared somehow cleaner, and a large sign had been hung out at the front, with the bright, colorful words:

CHIK'N PLACE!!!

who was the culprit? well, one step inside this newly refurbished restaurant and you will be greeted by its very enthusiastic owner...

the often-excited, very sociable Poultrino! she started off as all of the other Fakelings, a strange, gooey blob-like creature with hunger and curiosity. but soon after going out into the world on their own, she stumbled across a runaway definitely wild chicken, which she chased after with great interest and then gobbled up with glee. but, the feathery snack awakened a strange feeling in her, such a delicious taste, she wanted to share it with all the world! and thus gave rise to the fifth and final Fakeling...

and now, all customers are happily welcomed at her humble Chik'n Place! there is chicken of all kinds there; chicken wings, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, living chickens, anything you could possibly want, as long as it is chicken! (and all VERY legally obtained, she wouldn't THINK of pilfering chicken from other establishments for her own....) and not to worry, she is very polite and welcoming to anyone who wishes to visit! as long as you are not also a chicken, or a tasty bug or rat.

their appearance and body are quite unique amongst the Fakes as well! and though she is still made out of simple Goop like the others, her "skin" is fairly soft and smooth, almost feeling like soft fuzz despite having no real feathers! her legs, tail, and "fleshy" parts are the same gooeyness as standard Fake Peppino though. despite her strange appearance, most customers assume she's simply in costume, and very few are any the wiser as to their true nature.

though, one more very important fact to mention... you didn't think they worked alone, did you? of course not, all that Chicken isn't going to serve itself! which is why the first person to enter her restaurant was taken happily hired as the first employee!! say hello to Sue, Poultrino's favorite and only employee!! (credit goes to my wonderful friend @plebbicinnabun-arts for coming up with her! 😊✨)

she helps prepare and serve many of the chicken dishes! (and makes sure that the stuff that's served is actually edible when possible...) and not to worry, her boss treats her with great care! she is paid well in a salary of both "human currency" and delicious chicken-based foods! it might just be very strange trying to explain her job to friends and family.

but together, these two help run the Chik'n Place, and Poultrino finds decent success at running a business! her Papa is very proud of her.

Imagine just minding your business pretending to not be poor in your home country and you’re a huge fan of that big time American actor Chris Evans and then you run into a guy who kinda looks like Chris Evans but maybe rich Americans just be lookin like Chris Evans sometimes idk so you decide to scam greet him and as you’re exchanging business cards it turns out to be tHE CHRIS EVANS IN THE FLESH.

a week long break from the main priority course started today!! Tomorrow gonna work on the other courses, but decided to have the day off today as a treat etc (can’t take the whole week off, so a day will have to do)

things done today:

a meeting (had to lead it, did a very crappy job on it but at least that’s done)

whole bunch of reading

dishes & general cleaning around while listening to a podcast

a walk

I'm feverish, super tired, spoons almost finished, so to recharge my batteries a little bit I went on a wedding dress tangent and made some studies for Ankh's lol

I still need to finalize the design and figure out the elements in a more accurate way, but at least now I have something I can work with. Some deets from the hamster that lives in my brain:

Her dress can't be white, and it can't be la trapunta de me nona I saw in game, so I went for desaturated greens (my beloved <3) and a few symbols that belong to the couple

The final choice was between B and D because they're more coherent with her wardrobe I guess? Also I checked out her silhouettes and proportions, I realized that A and C don't really follow her curves in a flattering way << D was the best choice in that sense so I went with that. Also I like that there's a darker color, it's more loyal to her personality even if um, it's A Choice(TM)

I think everything needs to be a little longer yeah, I'll ponder and wonder once I'm in a better state lol

Also bonus notes for Strudel + old art for inspo, because they need to match, absolutely u-u and I've been deconstructing his outfit in my head for a while before putting it on paper. I'm not convinced entirely tho. It's still way too "recent" than I'd like, but we'll get there Strudel, I prommy <3
