Minimalizm w świetlnym tunelu. FENDI. Ready to Wear Jesień 2023. Mediolan Luty 2023

Nie ma wątpliwości że Kim Jones zapoznał się z całym bogactwem domu Fendi: wspaniałym archiwum, imponującym atelier a także… kobietom z arystokratycznego rzymskiego rodu który ów dom utworzył. Nie do pominięcia jest choćby fakt, że Fendi to ponad pół wieku projektowania futer i odzieży przez wielkiego Karla Lagerfelda.

Co do kobiet z rodziny Fendi to zdaniem wielu Delfina Delettrez Fendi jest najmodniejszą z rodziny – cóż, ma wszak dostęp do garderoby swej słynnej matki, Silvii Venturini Fendi, uczennicy i długoletniej współpracowniczki Lagerfelda i nie obawia się swobodnie i śmiało zestawiać poszczególnych elementów ubrania.

Jonesowi utkwił w pamięci brązowo-jasnoniebieski strój Delettrez Fendi który miała na sobie w dniu w którym zaczynał pracę w Fendi. Jak twierdziła, kupiła go w Rzymie w sklepie z ubraniami dla zakonnic. Brytyjczyk powtórzył tę kombinację kolorów w kolekcji na jesień 2023. Połączył w niej włoski szyk i punkowego ducha. Ventotene fashion week by E&R quinta edizione, dal 18 al 20 Agosto 2023.

Nello splendore e nel fascino dell'isola pontina, dal 18 al 20 agosto 2023, si aprirà il sipario sulla quinta edizione del grande evento "Ventotene Fashion Week" ideato e organizzato dalla stilista internazionale Elena Rodica Rotaru.

Gli organizzatori della manifestazione sono l'associazione Lika Eventi, il Comune di Ventotene e Pandatariafilm film.

Tre giorni che presenteranno il fascino della moda, del design, della bellezza e dei colori artistici dell'isola.

Ventotene Fashion Week è un evento legato alla moda e ispirato alle caratteristiche identitarie dell'isola di Ventotene, ma è anche un concorso per stilisti emergenti, sarti, negozi di abbigliamento e coinvolge anche l'arte e la gastronomia italiana.

Diventa sempre più importante caratterizzare gli eventi coinvolgendo le persone che abitano i territori e che, quindi, ne fanno una manifestazione di partecipazione che viaggia insieme alla proposta di abbigliamento e di immagine.

Ventotene, vento dell’anima, tzunami del cuore.

Ti lascio e ti ritrovo sempre con l’ansia di un amante.
Vulcano emerso, “cono di bottiglia”, approdo sicuro per cuori ed ali affaticate.

Piazza Chiesa di Ventotene, alcuni locali privati dell’isola e Piazza Castello di Ventotene sono disponibile per questi eventi culturali attraverso alla moda, l’arte e bellezza.

Il 20 Agosto 2023 alle ore 21,00 -01.00 sarà la Gran Gala serata dedicata ai stilisti che participa al concorso per il premio

“Vento Fashion” quinta edizione 2023.

VISIBILITA’

L’evento oltre il contest metterà in condizione gli stilisti di poter proporre le loro collezioni moda alla presenza di giornalisti, fashion blogger , fotografi specializzati attori e cantanti, oltre ad essere visto da un folto pubblico in tv e su vari social.

L’evento sarà messo in risalto da vari giornali e riviste di moda italiana e internazionale. Ogni stilista potrà esibire 10-15 capi scelti della propria collezione ed evidenziare il proprio talento non solo davanti alle telecamere, agli ospiti e fotoreporter ma anche davanti una giuria,la quale assegnerà il premio ”

La giuria sarà composta da giornalisti del settore ,fashion blogger e vip tv. All’evento saranno presenti operatori dell’informazione, televisivi e fotografi.

Shifting Emphasis Downward: Vogue 1572 from the 1960s

You can’t really see what is happening in the photograph of this A-line dress by the House of Patou (Jean Patou himself died in 1936) because it is all in black. In fact, the emphasis of the black version is near the face because of the large sparkly necklace and earrings worn by the model. But take a look at the sketches done up in pink and in white and you realize that the designer had abandoned the Dress Doctors’ art principlr which said keep the emphasis of garment design on the face.

Despite the big brooches on the pink and white versions, the lines of the garment on the front of this dress are all down at the lower hip. Welt pockets, a bow, piecing and gathers are all down there and except for the skirt overlay which creates a flap from the center low hip down to the hem.   Although the look implies a two-piece garment because of the piecing from the bodice to the skirt, it is actually one piece. It is an awful lot of effort to bring attention down to the lower hip line. 

The whole garment is an awful lot of effort as all couture garments would be. The entire dress has an underlining, probably in order to stiffen it to keep the A-line shape. The center front of the bodice has a stay which echoes its shape and which then is sewn to the gathers of the skirt at center, all in order to allow the fashion fabric bodice piece to move freely unattached above the gathers. Yes, a lot of effort to make the dress look like two pieces. In fact, I suspect when this dress was in motion, onlookers’ eyes would be puzzled enough-- two pieces? --one piece?-- to dwell on that area of the dress while trying to figure out what was going on. Then, bound buttonholes button up the back where the two-piece illusion is discarded. There is an inner belt at the waistline which is attached to the seam allowance and then closes with a hook and eye inside the dress at the back.

Which brings me to the effort of getting this dress on. You would have to close the waistline belt behind your back, and then button up the dress behind your back. Only wearers of the original, who would have a maid to ask for help, or dressmaker with a spouse at hand, could get this dress on easily. 

How fancy would it be? For day time or nighttime? Hard to say as the fabric suggestions run from satin and silk to cottons, linens, and woolens, but notice that the two sketches also have these women wearing gloves, a sign of a dressier occasion. The 1960s saw a number of experiments moving the emphasis in garments far down from the face, but I can’t say I am a big fan of the effort.
