Claims have been made that some fannibals were comped tickets to FannibalFest. People on certain panels like @docnickie (who was definitely on the fan fiction panel) interesting.

FannibalFest 2017 Recap 3/3

Tour #2- Pic Heavy!

I wasn’t sure  @fannibalfest-toronto  could live up to how awesome their first tour was, with Will’s house and the TWOTL house (see it in my previous tour post), especially considering I live in downtown Toronto, but this tour was AMAZING!!!! :D So many great sites to be seen and the fannibal vibe was super fun :)

First stop was the barn where Hannibal kept Miriam Lass (or at least where he put her for Jack to find).  Even though we couldn’t get inside, it felt super cool and creepy. This is one of the oldest barns in Ontario apparently, which (as a local) I thought was really cool!

Next up was the BHSCI and the Observatory!  They happen to be REALLY close together...like, turn to the left from this pic and the telescope is right there ;P It’s the David Dunlop Observatory which, although it isn’t open anymore, it’s been given heritage status to protect it from developers ( a big problem around Toronto).

Hehe, the funniest thing about the two locations being so close to each other is imagining how far Will really needed to be taken to go see Bev’s body...seems like a lot of bondage effort when they could just walk him over there (Not that I blame them) ;P

AAAAAAAND We arrive at Hannibal’s office!  I pass by hear all the time, but I have to say how amazing it was to experience it with a group of other Fannibals! I loved being able to squee with them and speculate how his office could be laid out inside :)

Bonsoir! A Toronto hotel that doubled as a Paris Hotel that a leather clad Hannibal on a motorcycle pulled up in front of.

At Roy Thompson Hall... site of Tobias’s cello tableaux and the infamous Garret Jacob Hobbs slow clap.  We recreated it to tweet at Vlad, and he retweeted it with happy comments :) Sorry for so few pics, we couldn’t take them of the stage.

HANNIBAL’S HOUSE! Again, another one I go by fairly often, but so nice to flail around with fellow Fannibals!

Although the lighting is much different, Hannibal and Matthew Brown were here in some very tiny bathing suits! I can imagine Hannibal demanding the mood lighting or he wouldn’t swim there ;)

On to another Toronto landmark used as the Verger Estate...Casa Loma!  These are the stables if you can believe it.

Perhaps Mason just got finished wheeling Hannibal and Will upstairs!

The carriage house in the stables were where the pigs were in the show, and where Hannibal covered Will in his bodily fluids in will’s mind ;P (I told you I was a trash fire)

The conservatory ballroom where Hannibal and Bedelia danced in Italy! Also in Casa Loma. I wish Hannidoll could have dipped us all :P

Can you believe these chandeliers?! Antlers everywhere!

Bonus pics I took before the tour...the ballroom in the Royal York hotel is where Hannibal worked in Italy (and where Jack kicked his ass a second time)

And one more...Knox College is where Will displayed Randal Tyre’s body.  Although the majority of stuff with Randall was shot at The Royal Ontario Museum, they wouldn’t allow the body display, so the production moved it to the front hall a college nearby.

OK!  That’s it!  I’m still totally overwhelmed by the stuff I haven’t mentioned, so if you have any other questions about the fest, feel free to send me an ask :) I have lots of stories.

HFoH Ep20: Decoding All The God Talk

We are sliding in just under the wire for 2017 with one last episode for the year! This time we are joined by @melythemac of Fannibal Fest, and she gives us details about her entry into the fandom, how she got involved with @fannibalfest-toronto , and behind-the scenes info about the convention and the locations tours. She showed up with an amazing selection of charcuterie, so warning, there are some light eating noises in the first half.

Amy appreciates Melanie and Jenn’s excellent explanations about all of Sakizuke’s God talk, and we take several moments to contemplate naked Hugh Dancy.  Melanie also gives a good argument for a well written fic that is out of our comfort zone, and let us know about her own work in progress.

A one-shot Hannibal/Yuri On Ice crossover. Influences from Yuri On Ice: Yuuri skating to Viktor’s program, the infamous Grand Prix Final banquet and the final pairs skate. It is not necessary to have seen Yuri On Ice to read this (although as someone who sees quite a few parallels between the main couples, I highly recommend the show to all Fannibals!).

Will Graham is a twenty-three year old ice skater, who has had a major crush on Hannibal Lecter (twenty-seven year old Lithuanian ice-skating legend and five-times World Champion) ever since he can remember.

Cue their first proper meeting, at BloodFest 2018, an annual event that raises awareness about organ donation. (Sorry - I couldn’t resist!)

A wealthy benefactor who is also a Fannibal has decided to donate 5 tickets to giveaway to people who otherwise can't afford it. No, seriously like, don't enter if you can pay for tickets. Oh you also have to have a tumblr blog which they don't tell you is the case if you enter ONLY via their website at FannibalFest.com and there are only 5 tickets. Also, despite all of this, it seems NO ONE IS INTERESTED in even attempting to get free tickets. Imagine that.
