I think its so annoying when you ask someone "Hey I wanna play fallout 4 with mods and achievements" and ask how to do that and people are like "Well just play the game and then get the achievements" But this was a game made by Bethany Esda so I can't run the fucking game to play without the game running mod.
Not to mention not everyone who mods the game is modding to make it easier I just wanted better hair....
#like all their games are broken#i know this you know this they know this#I just want to hear the little noise like why am I in the wrong#like its pure gaming elitism if i really wanted to cheat id just use console commands dumbass#like mods objectively make it harder to fucking cheat#im sorry ive been doing so much but none of my mods for achievements work and im sad#fallout#fallout 4#fo4#like why do this why not#keep it irrelavent like new vegas

How is it 2024 and here I am, wanting to write Fallout 4 fanfic like it's 2015?
I don't even have a romance for my new OC yet and I'm level 47. Her name is Ethel and I love her. She's an asshole with a heart of gold
I'm also playing super easy mode with her. Basically cheating by using console commands to get anything I need. I do sort of want to do another playthrough where I don't cheat. Where I have to struggle to get the right materials to make settlements and stuff
I think I would start a new OC for that. I have an idea in my head for a Preacher OC. Ditch the lawyer backstory. Use console commands to get the Preacher vestments at the very beginning. She's probably romance Hancock
I'll report back if I create her!

It's fascinating to me how quickly people will come out of the woodwork online when you talk about turning off a setting in a video game to make things easier for you (or Gods forbid, that you want to use a controller to play a Computer Game).
I sent a message last night in a Discord server about using the accessibility settings in Cyberpunk 2077 to turn off the time limit when hacking access points. Not even ten minutes later I have two people replying to me saying that the time limit isn't really that bad for them. Okay, that's cool for you. I dislike it because I can't plan things out or stick to a plan properly with the Death Timer going. So I happened to see the option to disable it in the settings and can now be the cool hacker lady of my dreams.
And it's not the first time I've gotten/seen a response like this. I got the Elder Scrolls Oblivion on PC and had trouble with the console commands because they work slightly differently than in Fallout 3/NV/4. I prefaced my ask about console commands by saying I'd played the absolute HECC out of Oblivion on the xbox 360, but someone still came into the thread to tell me I was cheating and that I should "Play the Game Right". Someone replied to them pointing out how i said I'd played the game a bunch without using it and I don't think they ever replied back to them. Even if I hadn't played through the game before there's no need for that. No one asked for your opinion, buddy. If people wanna play a game a way you don't like you shut your mouth and let them play the game that way.

Bethesda hired a Skyrim modder to help build Starfield’s universe
Like most Bethesda RPG titles, Starfield is crammed with things. Every piece of trash carefully placed to help tell a tale about the location you're in may be found everywhere you look and used as a crafting material. It's been discovered that Bethesda really employed a Skyrim and Fallout 4 modder with a keen grasp of clutter to assist bring this to life ahead of the Starfield release date, and we're all the better for it. Fallout 4 and Skyrim modder Emmi Elianora’ Junkarri has confirmed that they were one of many to work on lighting and clutter in Starfield, after making mods for previous Bethesda games that focused on making believable world spaces and homes, with an abundance of clutter being no small part in that. “I was merely pretending whenever I said I hadn’t a clue what Starfield would be like and what Bethesda could be up to,” Junkarri says. “I acted like I was in total awe of the clutter. Actually, I placed some of that clutter myself. Bethesda hired me as a lighting and clutter artist to work on Starfield.” Sure enough, Junkkari is listed as an additional lighting artist in the Starfield credits, with them working on Starfield between October 2021 and June 2022, according to LinkedIn. Their work included lighting locations in accordance with Bethesda design documents, interior design and construction, and placing clutter and set dressing. Just wandering around Starfield’s New Atlantis should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of the world-building work. A lot of Junkkari’s work can be found on the Skyrim creation club, and on NexusMods for work between both Skyrim and Fallout 4. Junkarri even talked with Bethesda for a creator spotlight in 2018, so it’s clear that the RPG makers had their eye on them for a while. At the time Junkarri was asked what the best part about working on creation club content was, and had this to say, “Gotta be honest, my favorite part is the interaction with the devs. “Getting feedback, being able to improve my work based on it, finding the best ways to do things, and having the help and support of the people who made these games has been an incredible experience for me. It’s surprising to me how much fun we have and how friendly and passionate everyone is!” Bethesda’s world-building has always been top-notch, with every room of every building feeling actively lived in and alive (unless we’re talking about Fallout of course, but who wants to sweep up dust when there’s a wall missing from your living room), and Starfield is no exception. I don’t know exactly which parts of Starfield Junkarri worked on, but I know that the clutter in every outpost, city, and Starfield ship has been totally immersive, so it’s great to see. Even the Starfield factions all feel unique and with years of history, as expected. You can find Junkarri’s work over on NexusMods, alongside statements about working with Bethesda on Starfield over on Twitter. If, like hundreds of thousands of us, you’re getting stuck into Bethesda’s new universe on PC and want some help, we’ve got your back with a breakdown of the best Starfield builds depending on your playstyle and all the Starfield console commands and cheats you’ll ever need to know. And if you love tweaking the game, then check our guide to the best Starfield mods. Still looking for more? While a good Starfield wiki can be a handy source of information, our new Starfield Database goes further, offering you daily news, searchable databanks, and even interactive tools. So fallout 4 on super-hard is actually super hard and I've never yelled at a screen since I was 15 and playing WoW with a bunch of online friends who ranged in ages from 10 to 40 and none of us understood what "don't pull the whole fucking dungeon" meant.
But at the same time, I'm not running through areas like fuckin rambo and I'm getting some nice gear.
It's a trade off I think. I like it more.
BUT
If I had started on hard/super hard/survival - I'd never have gotten past the first quest. I'd have thrown my hands in the air and said fuck this, I'm not able to do this.
Playing on super easy/easy/normal is PERFECTLY OKAY and everyone should do it at least till you get a good idea of the game mechanics. (or forever and ever, who cares?)
Don't listen to fuckers who gatekeep fun.
(I ran my own guild in WoW and we raided twice a week and all of us were SHIT and we loved it)
15 man teams and only 5 of us had mics and it was still hilarious.
Be happy with easy. Learn. Level up at your own pace.
And cheat if you want. Who the fuck cares? it's a game.
I always pimp my settlements out with console commands. cause thats how I role(play)

FALLOUT 4 MODS MASTERLIST FOR XBOX ONE
I primarily see posts about modding PC versions of the various Fallout games, but with Bethesda allowing for mod support on console, I thought I would share the mods I personally use to enhance my game!
This list will be particularly useful for players that aren't necessarily looking to add content to the game, but want the game to feel more updated and more modern.
NOTE: While playing I did discover a glitch with the female facial presets to where if you move backwards through the preset list, the skin tone of the face ends up unchangeable and does not match the body. I'm not sure what causes it, so proceed with caution! I will update this if I figure it out. My best guess is a load order issue ^^;
I'll try to summarize what each mod does, but the mod titles listed are the exact ones so searching it should be easy.
For reference, here are some unedited screenshots from my current game (early in the playthrough, but check the #my pics and #fallout 4 tags on my blog in the future for more pics!):
The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
The most essential mod on this list. This mod works to fix most—if not all—bugs within Fallout 4.
Green in the Commonwealth
Adds a variety of flora to the Commonwealth to show just how far nature can progress in 200+ years without human interference.
True Storms: Wasteland Edition
Adds a variety of weather events to the Commonwealth, including radiated storms, severe thunderstorms, and more.
Cheat Terminal
Another essential mod. It gives the player a holotape that allows for console players to have access to similar—if not the same—cheat commands that PC players have access to.
Enhanced Blood Textures
Makes the blood extra... bloody. Really just makes the blood and spatter more realistic.
Spitfire (Enhanced Muzzle FX)
Adds subtle yet immersive effects to firing weapons, such as brighter flashes and distortions in the air where gas from the weapon is expelled.
Realistic Ragdoll Force
You know how things in Fallout games tend to just like... fly? This mod helps that not happen as much, and gives a little more realism to the weights of objects.
Realistic Sound XB1
Adds more realism to the game’s sounds, such as allowing gunshots to echo through the air and sound more powerful dependent on the weapon’s caliber. Also effects ambient sounds and dialogue, and has some customizable settings within the game’s sound settings (e.g., reverb).
Vivid Fallout - All in One
A very detailed overhaul of all landscape textures, but also trees, rocks, roads, bridges, etc. It’s, surprisingly, not an incredibly heavy mod as the graphics do render out with distance to a degree so that the game doesn’t lag or crash.
Interior Visual Overhaul
Accomplishes similar overhauls as Vivid Fallout, but focuses on interior settings. One of the most notable things this mod does is overhaul interior lighting, adding more dynamic and realistic lighting to the game.
[Dn-0] Darker Nights
This is the darkest version of this mod, but basically what this series does is make nights... darker! Dn-0 is the most realistic in my opinion, since it's nearly pitch black and really allows for in-game lighting (e.g., streetlamps) to stand out.
Improved Map with Visual Roads
Overhauls the Pip-Boy map and adds more contrast, making roadways and paths more visible to the player eye.
NPCs Travel
Populates the Commonwealth with traveling NPCs, including hunters, Minutemen patrols, Brotherhood of Steel Patrols, and more, to add life into the Commonwealth without overwhelming the game. Many NPCs this mod provides are traders.
HUD Framework
Allows for external mods to more easily edit the HUD settings and files within the game. Very useful for things such as the iHUD mod listed later on the list.
Boston Less Enemies
Spawns less NPCs in the Boston area to help prevent the notorious Boston game crashes, and let players explore without dying at every turn.
Settler and Companion Dialog Overhaul
Overhauls companion dialogue to limit repetitive lines and increase the situational awareness of companions, as well as increasing progressional awareness to settlers and combatants. This mod adds well over 2,000 voice lines to companions, settlers, and enemies alike.
Presets That May Be Handsome
Revamps some of the game's male presets (I believe presets 12-15) to be more attractive and unique.
Vault Outfits Redux
Edits the textures of the game's vault suits, lab coats, and vault security armor. One of the more notable details is the reflective gold of the vault suit's yellow printing.
Automatically Lower Weapons
Makes it so the player's gun lowers after approximately 3-5 seconds of inactivity (e.g., aiming). Very subtle but it opens the field of view and adds a touch of realism to the game.
Looks Mirror
Adds a mirror to the workshop interface so that players may change their appearance without having to pay for the services of NPCs such as barbers.
Campfire - Simple Wasteland Camping
Adds a touch of realism to Fallout 4 by allowing players to build temporary campsites and camp throughout the Commonwealth. This mod adds items such as tents, sleeping bags, dog beds, camp fires, lanterns, and more.
Realistic Death Physics - No Animation
You know how things in Fallout games tend to just like... fly or crumple like a tin can? This mod helps that not happen as much, specifically to corpses!
Everyone's Best Friend
Let's players have another companion alongside Dogmeat, meaning you can have two companions at once! This mod follows the traditional companion mechanics of the older Fallout games to a degree (re: allowing the player one human and one non-human companion).
Natural & Atmospheric Commonwealth
This, in my opinion, is definitely an essential mod. It's a hefty graphics mod that allows for all sorts of adjustment (e.g., gamma, filter presets, how bright the sun is, how interiors look, etc.).
Water Enhancement Textures
Enhances water textures and makes water more transparent and reflective.
Wasteland Creatures Redone - Retexture Compilation
Retextures pretty much every creature in the Commonwealth to be more unique and realistic.
Faded Glory - A Post-Apocalyptic Soundscape
This mod adds nearly 100 songs of various genres to the Fallout 4 soundtrack, encompassing old world jazz, rock, and EDM. Enhances the ambience of the game.
KS Hairdos (PC Port)
Adds a variety of unique hairstyles to male and female characters. Like... a lot of hairstyles.
Full Dialog Interface
Replaces the in-game dialog interface with a more traditional one, and allows players to see what each option (e.g., mean, sarcastic, etc.) will actually say.
Armorsmith Extended
This mod adds and overhauls so many aspects around clothing and armor within the game, including but not limited to: Layering outfits and armors, adding ballistic weave to all clothing, adding various types of clothing and armor modifications, adds color swaps and customization options, and more.
Goodfellow's Glorified Goodneighbor
Overhauls the exterior and interiors of Goodneighbor to not only add defense, but to create a more notable and iconic city that shows how important the town is to the overall Commonwealth.
K9 Harness - Tactical Body Armor and Backpack for Dogmeat
Allows the player to craft body armor for Dogmeat, which can be repainted and modified to fit factions and weight capacity needs.
Immersive HUD (iHUD)
Allows the player to further customize and adjust the HUD for more immersive gameplay by minimizing the HUD all together. In the above screenshots, the iHUD mod is activated and the HUD does not show unless I draw my weapon or my health is reduced.
AWKCR - All DLC Version
Creates a standardized framework for armor and the workshop so that modders can create and modify armors while enhancing the compatibility of numerous mods.
Pip-Boy Flashlight (Brighter)
Replaces the radiant light of the Pip-Boy with a flashlight. Very good in combination with the Darker Nights mod.
Spiff's Wasteland Clothing Pack
Adds various armor and clothing mashups that are lore-friendly and stylish all in one. Also works to retexture certain materials and items.
Workshop Framework
Works similarly to the other frameworks mods on this list to open up the settlement and workshop system to be modified. As a standalone for players, it allows for faster and more stable workshop access.
Alternative Walk Animations by onymaru9
Adjust the walk animations for characters within third-person view to be more natural.
New Alternative Animations by onymaru9
Adjusts misc. and idle animations for characters within third-person view to be more natural.
Synths Revamped 1k by Fuse00
Revamps the synths to have new, detailed textures to the face, body, eyes, and teeth. Adds a more slick, modern appearance to synths that are not visibly human.
#txt#my pics#fallout 4#modlist tag#old post BUT putting here bc this is the beginning era of my current list

Fallout 4 in Survival Mode
I wanna try the Survival Mode since a long time. My boyfriend played only like that, i loved following @flannelshirtandjeans with her survival playthrough, so why not ! But i didn’t except it was so difficult !
She’s sick every three or four sleeps, even in a good bed, even in a safe place ! That’s insane. Thanks to chemist perk, she can craft her antibiotics and everything she needs.
She always thirsty/hungry. I know, i am too, but in a fight “you’re thirsty” ... NOT THE RIGHT TIME ! Stimpaks makes her thirsty, Radaway hungry ... she spends her life with water and food.
Some ennemies can kill her in one shot. Deathclaws ok, but Mireluks and sometimes by a bullet but i don’t know where is the shooter ! How can i defend myself ?
I always thank the Mysterious Man, he comes everytime i’m in a really trouble ♥ Thanks man ♥
I’m always overcrowded ! I have only necessary (three weapons, my outfit and protections, water and food). Hopefully, i have the mod “Backpacks of the Commonwealth” for saving my life. And i gave bag to some companions, otherwise they can carry so few !
I tried a camp mod but i don’t like camping. On sleeping bag, she can sleep only three hours, and i don’t talk about ennemies near my camp. I prefer NEST, with some bunkers. Sometimes there are ennemies but most of them are safe ... and with a bed ! I also buy Home Plate and download a mod for a tiny flat in Goodneighbor (the Maccready’s flat in my Gloria Story)
I use Survival Options, but only for console commands for my screenshots. No fast travel or others cheats, just for that !
In survival, i can’t save anytime, only when my character sleeps. Thanks to the mod, Smokeable cigarettes ♥ a save is create when she smokes cigarettes/cigar/joints. And the animation is so cool ♥
I died so many times xDD now, when Gloria die, i take a screenshot. Some of them just fory you !
In conclusion : try Survival. Frustrating sometimes, but really enjoying ! ♥

so OOOOOOOOOH my god i managed to get fallout 4 working on my pc again and i was literally starting at like... okay. hang on. long story incoming.
my Master Plan had been to avoid doing Tactical Thinking for the BoS (and thus avoid destroying the railroad) by working up to the Mass Fusion quest via the Institute! but then came the Battle of Bunker Hill quest, and i realised i couldn’t inform the railroad because i hadn’t done their questline. so i spent HOURS fighting both my dying pc AND numerous bugs to finish the rr quests up until my ‘infiltration’ of the institute, right up until Mass Fusion... only to find out that bethesda patched out this workaround in 1.2!
/screaming goat sound
thankfully i thought ahead and had previously installed a mod that allows you to pass a Very Hard speech check with Kells to just. leave the rr alone. which i did. sucker. anyway,
got the berilly... the berlli... beryi... got the AGITATOR for the BoS, and then took a short vacation to Far Harbor to nab ALL the legendary Recon Marine Armor. this cost me 50,000 caps I didn’t have. ended up fighting half the island to get enough loot to sell in trade and also gained like 3??? levels of experience doing that??? jesus. anyway. got the RECON ARMOUR BABY. also, i had to cheat in The Last Minute, because ronnie didn’t stock it >:/ VERY annoying but i have the power of cheats AND anime on my side,
anyway this whole writeup is to reach the fact that i killed the institute, nice, obtained the rank of sentinel, nice(r), and then when i tried to betray maxson... oop! he’s essential! because todd howard wants a big showdown in the castle!!!!!!
so i made him non-essential and shot him in the back of the head ez pzy
then we did By Our Forces Combined (god-moded in the rest of the uuuuuuuh artillery because im lazee) and then i had the mother of all glitches because one of the vertibirds got stuck UNDER WATER and was UNKILLABLE??? just cycling around in the death animation. so i had to reload the WHOLE BATTLE thanks to this one vertibird, which -- had bugs not forced me to reload EVERY SINGLE QUEST and EVERY SINGLE CUTSCENE in the last few quests meaning i now have maxson’s EVERY WORD etched into my BRAIN -- would have really taken the wind out of my sails.
BUT IT’S DONE. i couldnt believe how many console commands i had to use in the last fuckin section though. enemies in unreachable places, vertibirds glitched into the sea, shaun got lost and drowned somewhere off the coast???? my companions becoming hostile MULTIPLE TIMES. armour glitching off my power armour to never be seen again MULTIPLE TIMES. npcs not moving when they should. npcs not loading through doors when they should. it was BONKERS and were it not for me expecting this shit with 100+ mods i quite frankly woulda quit.
but then i wouldn’t have gotten to see sarah in maxson’s coat tho, and i gotta say: well worth it.
also? far harbor dlc? actually Slaps quite a bit. it rly grew on me.

Overwhelming Fallout 4 mod combines 220 bug fixes and gameplay changes
RPG games are notorious for having bugs at launch, and Fallout 4 and Bethesda Game Studios games in general are no exception. For Bethesda releases, it's never exactly as horrible as we all remember it to be, with Fallout 4 being basically fine at launch. To make it feel new again and polish it up a bit, this Fallout 4 mod combines about 220 bug-fixing and gameplay-improving tweaks. This is ideal as we wait for the release of Fallout 5. The Fallout 4 Fixes and Technical Enhancements mod, or FATE patch for short, combines around 220 bug-fixing and gameplay-enhancing mods into one package for Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic adventure, all of which are not yet fixed by the equally massive unofficial patch mod – which is also required to get this working. According to Fallout 4 mod uploader TheSoundOfSnow, “The main focus of this mod is to fix bugs, make changes that make sense, and introduce subtle improvements for more satisfying gameplay.” From objects to items, audio, creatures, NPCs, companions, ammo, weapons, VFX, the UI, player changes, and perks, the FATE mod makes hundreds of changes to your vanilla Fallout 4 experience. Most of these are very minor fixes, but there are a few major improvements too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5aJfebzkrM For example, all encounter zones should now scale to your exact level, so you won’t be facing too many under-leveled enemies. Most powered settlement objects will automatically turn on now too, and you’ll even move slightly faster in all directions – which is a nice little change for your umpteenth playthrough. The long and short of this mod project for Fallout 4 is a complete and utter raising of the bar, making hundreds of minor changes that should improve the overall game feel. TheSoundOfSnow is also working on an overhaul mod, which will require this FATE patch when completed. You can find the FATE patch here, which has a slew of instructions to make sure you get it working properly. Remember, the $1 PC Game Pass deal is back, so you can easily play Fallout 4 for next to nothing on PC if you don’t yet own it (but let’s face it, you probably do). With a massive Fallout 4 HD texture mod and even a Fallout 4 overhaul mod that aims to enhance the core of the game, there are multiple projects that promise to enhance your core Fallout experience. If you want even more like Fallout’s future ‘50s post-apocalypse goodness, we’ve got the best games like Fallout currently on PC, alongside all the essential Fallout 4 console commands and cheats you need to really revamp your time in the Commonwealth. Diablo's chilling out in one of those too. In the mission Unsealing the Past, set on Endion, you can find Ewoks all over the place, huddling around camp fires and hiding behind trees. There's also a Jurassic World reference in this level. There's an 'enhanced strain' blue Zerg monster called Indomilisk Rex, a pastiche of Indominus Rex from the film. In the mission Zero Hour clear out the Zerg infestation in the top left of the map. Move beyond it and you will find a level 80 Tauren marine in power armour. Treasure your brief time with him, because your appearance causes him to run into a nearby toilet and never come out. In Legacy of the Void, in the Templar's Charge mission, move your base platform up, up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. The Tauren Marine lands with a nuclear explosion and you can control him as a unit.
