I think so much about Ford's line "And isn't it suffocating?" when Dipper says he's never been away from Mabel. Side barring how insane it is to project onto a twelve yr old boy, I think it really shows how Ford's perception of his and Stan's relationship has perverted over the forty years they were apart. We know they were close at Mabel and Dipper's age. But Ford's convinced himself that it was always bad, that his brother always had poor intent for him, always held him back, because if that's wrong, if his brother really did make a mistake, then it means he doubted the brother that loved him and he loved in turn.

"it really sucks that we're all forced to dress ourselves in plastic nowadays, which is bad for us and the planet in multiple ways. natural-fiber clothing fabric used to be the norm and I wish we could get back some of that one very specific aspect of the past"
"WOW SO YOU WANT TO BE A TRADWIFE AND YOU THINK THE PAST WAS A PERFECT UTOPIA ALWAYS AND FOREVER? YOU WANT TO PISS ON THE POOR???? ACKSHULLY IT'S CLASSIST TO SAY THAT PLASTIC FABRIC IS BAD, BECAUSE IT'S MORE AFFORDABLE"

The Tournament
Trigger Warning for Violence
So you know how Danny is portrayed as the ghost king automatically after Pariah is defeated? What if there was more too it. Let’s say that Danny has joined a new hero team and is having fun and then there is some kind of ripple in the infinite realms that all magic users can feel. A tournament is being held to choose the new king. The reason it wasn’t held immediately upon Pariah’s defeat is because it took some time to get into contact with all the participants. Anyone eligible can attend the tournament. This includes those with royal blood, other ancients, anyone who meets a certain power level, anyone that have their own kingdom and people to rule over, or those who faught and sealed Pariah in the first place. Aka, Danny and Vlad. So Danny gets an invite to the tournament.
Now this can go two ways. One is that those ‘invited’ are obligated to attend. Like their core physically hurts if they try to refuse. And the tournament is dangerous. Creatures and demons and eldritch horrors from all over the infinite realms are attending.
Second option. The tournament is optional because it is very cut throat and usually a battle to the death (or in this case, until someone’s core is shattered) and with ghosts being able to survive a lot, the battles often end with missing limbs, spines ripped out, impailment, decapitation, and disembowelment to name a few. So many refuse to participate, not wanting to risk ceasing to exist. The problem though is that a dangerous person is participating (could be Vlad, could be another demonic villain of the JL) and unless they want this person to gain unlimited power through the crown and ring plus an army of undead, Danny has to participate. Or the world is doomed. And each time Danny goes through a trial or battle, (because there could be both.) he returns to the hero group with injures that would have killed a normal person. Practically drenched in his own ecto blood. (That’s if the heroes weren’t forced to watch their friend mid battle, unable to interfere. Man. That would suck if they had to watch his spine get ripped out or something. The screams alone. Maybe split the group so Danny can only bring a certain number of ‘guests’ and they rotate who goes?) And like, imagine what kind of conversation Danny would have. His team panicking about the impending threat of the new ghost king and Dany having to reveal that he is eligible to participate (if some outside force doesn’t reveal it for him) and being forced to compete in a tournament where you either die, or become a murderer.
#Dpxdc#dcxdp#Kizzer55555 ideas#TW warning for blood and violence#Imagine the heroes forcibly having to hold themselves back or hold eachother back because if they interfere then Phantom is dead. For good.#There is no good option.#I think some enemies might be able to surrender but surrendering could have a cost#like maybe eternal servitude binding their core to the winner so they physically can’t refuse orders?#So many would rather fight to the death than give in and essentially become soneone’s slave.#OOOOOHHHH. What if that’s how Pariah got his skeleton army? Those are all his previous competitors who surrendered.#It’s just that he didn’t let them keep their personalities. (Which is something you can do in a core binding slave contract).#That’s why many prefer death.#To have absolute control over someone to be able to strip them of their free will and use their body like a puppet is terrifying.#And even if you lose against so someone who wouldn’t abuse that power#if THEY lose then the soul contract automatically transfers to the new owner. Whether or not the previous owner chose to die.#Poor Danny is gonna be like CHUGGING ecto dejecto just to be able to healed enough for each new round.#Is that healthy? Absolutely not. It’s like living off of monster energy drinks and ibeprophen.#But what choice does he have?#The heroes are very worried about Phantom.#I see the ending as some sort of massive showdown between Phantom and Plasmius#where Danny is barely alive and forced to shatter Vlad’s core to survive. The crowd is cheering#but Danny is practically drowning in his own blood and holding his organs from falling out. Using a spear to hold himself up.#And amidst the cheering. Covered in his own blood and the blood of his enemy. Haunched over himself. He screams.

UM what if... Fidds met Stan during the college years when he comes to apologize to Ford. Like-
Like hear me out-
At some point while Ford is at Backupsmore and Stan had been running around the country for a couple years, (lets say 4ish yrs after Stan is kicked out?) Stan attempts to apologize to him by visiting his dorms. Ford ignores him/ calls security on him until Stan is just loitering out by the entrance with his car.
Seeing all this, Ford's kindhearted roommate Fiddleford tries to coax his friend into giving his brother a chance, to which Ford stubbornly refuses. Exasperated and pitying Stan, after a few days of this, Fiddleford approaches his roommate's twin himself.
Stan is of course not a pretty picture since he's been living out of his car, and when he sees Fiddleford he assumes it's to shoo him away. When Fiddleford instead introduces himself and apologizes for Ford, a confused Stan begins to ask questions that he would be asking his brother: how he's been, what he's studying, is he any better with girls?
After a while of this, Fiddleford begins to feel guilty about having a conversation that really should be with Ford himself, not him. He tells Stan this, and promises to find a way to convince Ford to speak to him again at least once. Stan agrees to stay in town until that happens.
Ford isnt happy when Fiddle tells him he talked to Stan. Hes a petty sore loser so hes still adamant about not seeing his brother, and grows more upset as Fiddleford sees Stan every couple days to chat/update. Without cellphones, Stan just comes by whenever and hangs out until Fiddle spots him.
Fiddleford thinks Stanley wanting to reunite with Ford endearing. He also finds Stan's, let's be honest, meat-headed suave, to be a refreshing change of pace from his roommate's constant obsession over formulas and theories.
Besides having a friend of Ford's on his side, Stan is just thrilled to have someone who listens to him and doesn't mind his company. Fiddleford even trims Stan's hair for him one time, and other little things that he sees as simple decent favors for a nice guy down on his luck, but Stan sees as the most generous things a guy's ever done for him. He's starting to feel indebted to Fiddleford, and he's not sure what to do about it other than give up on Ford and drive off so that he isn't bothering them anymore.
When Fiddleford buys some extra groceries a few days later and gives them to Stan, the poor guy has a near-panic about being a burden later that night. On a whim, because he's freaking out and that's how Stan operates, he flees the town.
A month passes before Stan feels stupid and returns to the college. He still wants to see Ford- he'll just turn down all of Fidd's kind gestures this time. Stan pulls up outside the dorms and parks, falling asleep in the driver's seat until a banging at his window startles him awake.
Fiddleford, pounding on his car window, looking mad. Uh oh. Stanley gets out of the car, expecting a well-deserved punch to the face for accepting those groceries and bailing without warning. Instead, Fidds shakes his shoulders while rambling with exasperation.
"I was THIS close to gettin' him to talk to ya, ya know that? What were you thinkin', runnin' off without a daggum word to me, makin' me think somethin' bad happ'nd- what was I s'posta tell yer brother, huh?" Etc etc while Stanley just stares blankly and let's himself get shaken for 3 minutes straight while Fiddle scolds him.
The whole time, Stan is wondering why the hell this guy is worrying over him. He's distracted when fidds tells him that Ford too was worried. Is this progress with his twin? Or did he ruin it all with his fleeing stunt?

UHHH God I typed so much. Much more than i thought. Idk maybe I'll have more brainrot to continue this later??
