i'm proooobably going to get some more FL magic cards printed at some point, and i was thinking: why do only my ocs get cards? that doesn't seem very fair! flumblr is such a big part of my FL experience now that it would honestly be disingenuous to cut it out of my deck.

so, that being said, reply/reblog if you'd like me to make a MtG card of your guy(s)! i'll make the cards and post them, and then probably post them all as a group if i get them printed.

(also feel free to suggest canon characters if you want! more guys for the pile is always appreciated)

I had to draw one of my favorite bits in Fallen London: serving in Court in your birthday suit!

It's still so funny to me that Henry (guy who has no idea what is or isn't trendy at all) is canonically besties with the Neath's top fashion influencers. But then again, who wouldn't be charmed by him. The Fashion-flies certainly are!

Writing under cut purely for shapeling arts related body horror involving bones!

It was in the crowds of Spite that it had happened. Mere days after the shaping surgery experiment they had gone through in the late of night on Benthic campus. They had no idea of the effects. If it had even "worked" per se.

They hear it before they even realize what was happening. The thud of quickened steps. Heavy boots upon the cobbles behind them. The unmistakable sound of a knife being pulled from a sheath. The rush of air behind them as a blow was prepared.

No time to react and whirl around.

Air is punched out of their lungs. A squelch as the knife is dug in deep. Yells and gasps all around them, along with the shuffle of feet of passersby stepping back. Wet warmth blossoms around the hilt of the blade still embedded into their back.

And then... a surge. A shifting happens quicker than if they had trained their own mind to stop the attack with the shapeling arts. Their body acts on its own-

A loud, visceral tearing. Both of clothing, and of the flesh underneath. Not from the blade being twisted, no-

But of bones reshaping and erupting out from their chest. A guttural scream is ripped both from their own mouth and the attacker's. The guttersnipe freezes in terror, mouth agape as what looks to him like the spindly legs of an arachnid come out of his target. The bones twist and twitch, new joints forming and bending backwards towards where his hand still holds the knife dug into their back. The handle is ripped from his grasp, bony spines brushing against his hands briefly before tearing the knife out. The guttersnipe backs away, as well as the few onlookers that still stood bravely to watch in terror.

The face of his target now turns over their shoulder, face pale and eyes full of confusion and horror. And then... they run. Well, more of a stumble and sprint. A trail of fresh blood painted behind them from the still open wounds.

Okay I'm very curious now about people's fallen london ocs and memory loss/amnesia because there are more characters with gaps in their past than I initially expected to see, so! Answer for your main oc, probably, unless you have an alt you'd prefer to answer for.

Also, feel free to specify in the tags the cause if you know it! Whether it be dissociative, irrigo-based, etc, I'd love to hear about it. :-)
