“come on baby, one drive is all i’m askin’ of ya.”
“she doesn’t wanna drive with you~”
“don’t speak for me,” you snapped, leaning forward so the handsome man in the cowboy hat could see you, “at the red light!”
he tipped his hat, a grin on his face. john turned to you, glaring, “the hell are you thinkin? goin’ with him?”
“i can do what i want. you may be my brother, but i’m doin’ this whether you like it or not.”
“and if i run the red light?”
“i’ll jump out of the car while it’s moving then.”
“you wouldn’t.”
“watch me,” you challenged, grabbing your purse. “stop at the red light.” you ordered, and were surprised to find that he did so. the car came to a halt and you rushed out of the vehicle, not even bidding john a goodbye before running around the front of the car, towards the dark vehicle on their left.
you tugged open the door, flashing bob falfa a grin, “hi.” you greeted. “hey baby,” he said with a smirk, “how you doin’ tonight?” he questioned as you closed the door.
“better now that i’m here with you.” the man had one hand on the wheel, the other wrapping around your shoulder, pulling you close. “you’re a very pretty gal, sugar. anybody ever tell ya that?”
slowly you nodded, “a few times.”
his smirk only grew, “ever had anyone show ya?” you didn’t really understand what he was saying at first, but the lustful look he was giving you was enough to know.
“no…”
the light before them turned green, and bob pressed his foot down on the pedal, winking at you, “well don’t worry baby, i’ll show ya a good time.”
you couldn’t help but smile. that didn’t sound so bad.
as the drive continued, bob tried to strike up conversation, “so, who’s that guy you were ridin’ with? he’s got a stick up his ass.”
“my brother.” you murmured, “he is a pain in the ass.” you added with a laugh before glancing up at him, “that’s a nice hat ya got there cowboy, you should let me try it on.”
he arched his brows, taking his eyes off the road for a second, “well ya know the rule, don’t ya?” slowly, you shook your head.
a laugh bubbles from his lips, “well ya wear the hat, you ride the cowboy.” you couldn’t tell if he was joking or not. but, a smile tugged at your lips regardless, “okay hotshot.” and without another word, you lifted your hand, snatching the hat from atop his head, placing it upon your own.
his hazel eyes widened slightly, before he nodded, “okay baby, i see how it is.” you felt the vehicle begin to pick up speed, and then you knew you were in for a fun night.
and there would be many more to come in the backseat of bob falfa’s 1955 chevrolet one-fifty.

I'd fuck him in the backseat. In fact, I'd do it so good he never let me out of his sight again.

Of Paul Terry and Terrytoons
We already talked a bit about Paul Terry (1887-1971) with respect to his studio’s creations Mighty Mouse and The Mighty Heroes; this brief post will fill out the rest of the portrait. Terry had been a newspaper comic strip artist for about a decade when he was inspired by Winsor McCay’s Gertie the Dinosaur in 1914, inspired him to take up animation. He started with a couple of shorts that were…

Farmer Al Falfa's Birthday Party (1932)
It's Farmer Al Falfa's birthday and all the animals want to make his day special, by... making him an explosive cake!
The most interesting thing about this short is there is an original song in it which celebrates Al Falfa by name.

Chapter 6
Zelda stood on the threshold of the small farm building, leaning against the frame and looking at Link's back. The farmer’s granddaughter, Falfa, waved at her with an enthusiasm Zelda couldn’t quite share. Falfa prepared Zelda’s horse for the day, but the lighthearted anticipation of the joys of traveling failed to take root in Zelda’s heart today.
When she woke up numb from stiffness and discovered a snake bite on her hand, she had assumed that her horse had walked back to the ranch without her, causing them to send a search party that eventually found her. The thought had been embarrassing enough, but what had really happened was even worse. Falfa had told her that Link—of all people—had brought both her and her mare back. But how? He must have ran into her. Again. Were two times already too much for a coincidence?
And even more importantly…why was he still here?
